8021  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [SIDEHACK STICK] Official sales thread for everywhere not already covered on: July 20, 2015, 08:13:32 AM
Congratz sidehack on making it all the way to production.  For anyone out there wondering on quality they are a very very good build.  I have had so much fun I have been running the review unit much more then I expected.  Has a lot of ability to underclock or overclock.

I honestly hope this is first of a series of products from GekkoScience.   Well done.
8022  Economy / Services / Re: OPEN SPOTS [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: July 20, 2015, 07:44:49 AM
If I want to leave this campaign for 1 week and then join again, can I do it?

It's most likely possible but you and may not find spots later when you come back mate . leaving your spot should mean giving another one your spot but let's just wait for Marcotheminer and see his answer .

@Marco , please static text on the sig page Shocked

What if I just remove the signature for 1 week and put the thing I want and then put this back.. Basically I will be still here Tongue

You will most likely won't get paid then .

Qualifying Posts (all posts must abide by the following to be counted):

- Must be constructive to the thread posted in.

No no no. I don't want to get paid for that week. I just want to put my own signature for 1 week and then come here, put signature back and start posting without joining again.

It would be up to macro.  I'm not sure how supportive he will be of leaving and guaranteeing a spot.  A sig campaign keeping people is the objective Smiley
8023  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi on: July 20, 2015, 06:23:38 AM
I personally use  -  https://blockchain.info/wallet

I used blockchain before,
however, lot of members in here will suggest you keep away from it,
or don't save a big amount there.

BTW...I am using GreenBits right now.

Most likely they were saying not to use it for majority of coins.  This is as it is hot storage, could be hacked possibly.

Cold storage such as paper wallets, etc.  Are where it's suggested to keep the majority of your coins.    Cold storage do not touch the internet except when needing wallet so much better security.
8024  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: July 20, 2015, 05:43:27 AM
I am curious as to what makes this a scam rather than somebody thinking they can take an over-priced miner and sell it for an even higher price? In this case the scam would be that they don't actually own the miner for sale, rather than selling a non-existent miner? It wasn't uncommon for somebody to buy/pre-order a BFL miner and then try and sell it on Ebay for an even higher price in 2013. I don't think they were scam, rather than just an attempt to cash in on "Bitcoin fever" (i.e. like Gold Rush fever).

I was talking about AliExpress not SFards.  I do believe SFards has a product, they have sent out chips.

As far as AliExpress it's all default photos and I'm doubting they got in on initial batch.  I could be wrong on that.  But I am thinking they sell now on AliExpress and try to get a batch 2 to sell to person.  And if they cannot get a batch 2 in time they refund money.  So maybe bad business more then scam.
8025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TUTORIAL] How to Earn 1 Bitcoin in a Week on: July 20, 2015, 05:24:16 AM
Haha this is priceless. Greatest thing I've heard in a long time!

Quote
Step 3: Buy up altcoins below 100 satoshi
..snip..
Step 4: Wait 1 -2 days, and sell it for not less than 450-500 satoshi

That's all you have to do folks!  Cheesy Cheesy

So simple... now there is two examples

Ex: https://yobit.net/en/trade/MTLMC3/BTC costs now 38 satoshi (by the time you read this it might be more) , so with your 0.005 BTC you can buy 13100 of it.
Ex: https://yobit.net/en/trade/GREED/BTC costs now 15 satoshi (by the time you read this it might be more) , so with your 0.005 BTC you can buy 33333 of it.
etc...

Maybe has something to do with MTLMC3 being down 37 percent.  Which was original example
8026  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do I need to prepare if I want to start offer loans here on: July 20, 2015, 04:39:36 AM
You'll need some lube....  You'll get scammed long before making any decent amount of profit.  If somebody is reputable they can get loans at much better rates than here, if not they're just looking to take your BTC

As much as I hate it this is pretty much true.  Online loans just are tough.

You have to ask yourself if someone can get regular loans at low interest .... why would they go for a super high interest loan online?   Your basically one of those car loan buisness's..... but you get no collateral.
8027  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: July 20, 2015, 04:37:12 AM
At the moment, there is no discount on the miner.  (This is per the Sales Team)

Thanks for official response.

Not what I was expecting but nice to have an official anwser.
8028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [TUTORIAL] How to Earn 1 Bitcoin in a Week on: July 20, 2015, 03:43:47 AM
But folks 0 btc ->0.005 btc -> 1 BTC seems pretty clear to me.

There is no repeatable method to turn 0.005 btc into 1 BTC each week.  Even the best of traders cannot keep returns like this up.

Can you show a BTC address where you gained 10 BTC from this method?
8029  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: July 20, 2015, 03:40:51 AM

It would be a scam most likely.  I would not order from the link.

All the pictures have SFards on top left so most likely added their logo to it  to appear legit.
8030  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: July 20, 2015, 03:39:44 AM
I was going to buy 500 S5's, they wont drop a single dollar on a 500 unit bulk buy... Roll Eyes

Talk to one of their seling contacts.   I could be wrong but if  you talk direct with bitmain I would think they do something with 500 unless they don't have 500 in stock, or your asking for two much off.
8031  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to share development idea securely? on: July 20, 2015, 12:35:42 AM
If you live in the UK before talking to others about your idea you need to get them to sign a Non-disclosure agreement. Link below for further info.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/non-disclosure-agreements

I've no idea what the US use, but it will be something similar you will need to do some research before discussing your ideas.

I am nowhere near US. and this place got no such laws & regulation to secure anything.

NDA's do secure things very well.  They can be in multiple countries if written right.  But if you pick someone bad yes... they might break NDA.

So pick well known trusted people.   But US,UK,China, etc all follow NDA's.
8032  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ANN] HashCoins - Cryptocurrency Mining Hardware Manufacturer on: July 20, 2015, 12:32:40 AM
Hopefully.  I see you are commercializing bit-x is this legit operation?  You just get paid for the infomercial?

This is really off topic.   If you want to learn more about Bit-x go to one of it's threads.   I am not going to push their product in another companies thread let alone a scam companies thread.

And for the record I never once mentioned Bit-x in this tread, it is my signature.

So if your interested in Bit-x this is not proper place to learn, go to it's threads.  Don't hijack others.  And I feel like you are a troll most likely.
8033  Other / Archival / Re: July 11th to July 25th diff thread. Picks are now closed. on: July 20, 2015, 12:26:49 AM
Bitwisdom keeps rising slightly:

Bitcoin Difficulty:    51,076,366,303
Estimated Next Difficulty:    52,208,158,925 (+2.22%)
Adjust time:    After 832 Blocks, About 5.7 days
Hashrate(?):    378,035,022 GH/s

Price dropping a little to around 275
8034  Economy / Lending / Re: Please help us to find funds for our first mining farm on: July 19, 2015, 06:27:55 PM
My advice NEVER take a loan for a mining situation.  Mining is no guarantee on profit.  Yes you can do it if done right.

But asking an investor to take the risk instead of you taking it yourself is not responsible.
8035  Other / Meta / Re: Is there any way to report a member to mod/admin of this forum? on: July 19, 2015, 06:19:50 PM
I was actually very surprised and happy of how well mods/admins will work on a issue.  There was one thread it was getting hard to read because of spamming, thread hyjacking, and worthless pictures.

I have to give BadBear a serious thanks for using his time to clean up a thread.   He is a great admin.  I can now read one thread for the first time in a week or so without every other post bashing something.
8036  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: July 19, 2015, 06:12:29 PM
I wonder if they had one big client or how the sale went.

Presuming they actually sold anything at all, I've not heard of or seen anything concrete yet, just pure speculation. Their lack of communication both here & via email is a little disturbing, my little red flags are growing bigger & bigger every day  Wink

I'm actually not expecting anything from them soon, if at all. At least that way, if they do decide to post/email/produce something - it will be a pleasant surprise, albeit an expensive one.

I got a email a while back.  I went to try to email again a few day's ago to go about buying one and did not get word back.

I thought I would overspend on 1 to try it for the fun of it and show it on forums, and I could not even get one.

People that understand home mining is over at the price they are paying for power.  Will buy usb sticks.

I can justify 10 to 20 usb sticks from sidehack in my house because they burn the least power per gh.  They are quiet.

They will earn more then the power costs me for about 1 year.

Well that is interesting. We have discussed that it's possible to get something just under .5 J/GH with the miners in the title. What J/GH are the Sidehack USB sticks achieving and are they actually available?

Rich

Phil has a good thread with reviews and vouches in it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1086011.0

I can say after trying one it is a solid miner with a LOT of options on how fast you want to run.  Even on very low I was still beating Avalon nano on speed.  And if you crank it up, it is an amazing speed for one chip on a usb miner.
8038  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ANN] HashCoins - Cryptocurrency Mining Hardware Manufacturer on: July 19, 2015, 06:03:48 PM
Currently I received back  0.25  BTC just under 30 days since I started with them.  So if the difficulty does not increase significantly I should break even in 10 months, right before the reward gets cut in 1/2.  The maintenance fees are actually slightly better then hashnest s5, which is about 43% the only problem I found with hashflare is you can't sell your ghs, there is no market in APP, and no chat room. Hopefully they can stay afloat to next June so I can break even.

I wish you the best of luck.  I will be very very suprised if they remain open that long.

I wonder what their latest reason is on why they are still very late on a product.   Bad company all the way around.
8039  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Can't Log in to S3 Antminer on: July 19, 2015, 06:01:54 PM
please I paid a lot for the s3+ so how do I just reinstall the firmware and I'm terribly disabled and crippled and have no energy?  I don't get any echo from the serial-USB connection when I type into the putty window or the cursor doesn't type.  the controller board lights up red though on power on.

Did you make a ticket with bitmain?

It's weekend now but tomorrow if you do make a ticket they should get it.
8040  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: July 19, 2015, 06:00:19 PM
If they already sold out the 1st batch, what's the urgency for them to try and sell here? Maybe when they can't sell whatever they make at $1200+ per unit.

I still there  there's a $999 Christmas special (almost 30% off), in the future..... Smiley

How do you even order from them though?  I still have yet to figure that.  Is it just via email? If so what email?

I guess you'd order from their site...

Batch of Delivery: In mid-August 2015
Price: 8000.00RMB (Sold out)
Mid August, sounds like a preorder to me, it feels shady when they're taking money that early before the actual product gets shipped out. Sfards is going down more and more in my mind.

And if this is true they not only sold out they did it at the 1200 dollar price.   I was not expecing that at all.

I wonder if they had one big client or how the sale went.
