What else would you expect? Lotsa Trump supporters are cool with it, even if it makes them appear as if they jumped on the Trump Train from the turnip truck.

Something like this was inevitable. Ya think Carl Ichan and Lloyd Blankfein don't have each other on speed-dial? Friend of a friend?

And besides, the nom is now a done deal. It's Trump's train, so he's steering it towards Centerville. The first rule of Trump train is that there's only one person in charge of Trump Train. And in Trump's variant of New York values, a done deal is a done deal. You can play the peacock as much as you want during the negotiation, but once the deal is done it's done. It's a commitment.

Trump's part of the deal is to win the general. The base's part of the deal is to stick by him. A deal's a deal.

And now can anyone of you people explain me why trump would/should remember even one of his promises if he gets voted in?

He is already backtracking now should be obvious how the future looks like.

Oh and btw. Russia supporting trump should be a really bad signal.
Just look at europe and which parties get money and support from russia.

Well anyway a weak USA means rest of the world gets stronger i guess.
Care to elaborate on that?  I happen to think Russia and the US should be good friends and allies in many situations.

Pretty much all right wing parties in europe especially in the eu get money support or similiar from russia.
Do you live over there?

So what does this mean?

In their parlance is "right wing" something fascist or nazi like, or simply fiscal conservative?
8022  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can you feel the Bern? on: May 06, 2016, 04:46:06 PM

Hillary will drop out if she is faced with a fair race against Trump.  They won't replace her with Sanders though, so don't get your hopes up.

If Hillary stays in I would take it as an indication that Trump has an accident scheduled.  Or the entire country does.

My prognostications.

In my opinion, in the elections people will vote for Hillary, not Trump.
Why?
I'm sure that all democrats will vote for Hillary but also some of Republicans (because Trump really divided them through his very radical talks and attacks).
This will be enough for Hillary to win the race Smiley
f she wants to be even more sure in the victory, she should choose Bernie as candidate for the Vice President.
In such scenario, I'm sure Trump will not have any chance to win.

I feel like you missed a few points...

Bernie would never be Shillary's VP... not gonna happen

Also, many democrats would vote Trump before Shillary... kinda evens out the repubs who would vote for Shillary.... there are almost certainly more dems who hate Hillary than repubs who hate Trump

Agreed. +1

The European Commission now wants to compel European member states to accept refugees by imposing a fine of 250,000 euros per applicant they deny.

The $250,000 fine is so high ostensibly because in order to have the desired effect, logically it has to be greater than the cost of giving free welfare to the rapefugees.

Part of the global warming/climate change deals, many people do not realize that in Europe there will be no more gasoline and diesel cars on the streets come 2020. From Norway to India the year 2020 will mark the end of petrol or diesel vehicles. This is part of the long-term bear market in energy. Germany wants to bring at least million electric vehicles on the roads. However, this energy policy presents a crisis. They never realized that to prevent cars from using oil based energy, they have to get ready for a 25%-30% increase in power consumption. Shutting down nuclear power plants means you are transferring one pollution source for another.  Meanwhile, Germany was to shut down all nuclear power by 2022. Nobody seems to have figured out the coordination of these two trends.
It's a strategy to make Germany dependent on natural gas from Russia.

It’s Official: Social Security Admin Introduces Gun Ban For Some Beneficiaries

.... if we have information that the beneficiary has a mental or physical impairment that prevents him or her from managing or directing the management of benefits, we will develop the issue of capability. If a beneficiary has a mental impairment, we will develop the capability issue if there is an indication that the beneficiary may lack the ability to reason properly, is disoriented, has seriously impaired judgment, or is unable to communicate with others.....

So Hillary, Saunders and Obama are put on the no guns list?

You keep bringing up the idea of basic chemistry. Nobody is going to refute basic chemistry regarding the 9/11 inside job. Why not? Because basic chemistry doesn't apply in the 9/11 inside job. Why not? Because chemistry and else way beyond basic chemistry was used.

Wake up sometime.

Cool
The only reason you said this is you don't know what chemistry is.

"Does jet fuel melt steel" is a question of chemistry.

Next?

I don't really know of anyone who says that jet fuel melts steel. Perhaps some of the 9/11 conspiracy theorists in this forum have said it. I simply don't remember, and I am not going to go looking for them, and I don't even care.

The fact is, jet fuel of the past was similar to kerosene. I don't know what JF is made up of today. But if you put some kerosene in a steel can, it doesn't melt the steel can... at least not in quantities that are noticeable.

So, why do you even ask that? And your "Next" means what? Next question? You are asking the questions. Go ahead, ask another. I'll help. Is the sky blue? Or does it only look that way?

Cool

Here's ONE OF MANY TIMES you discuss jet fuel.  Your concern.  Not mine.  And it's chemistry.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1025761.160;imode

There is lots of fuel in a plane of that size. But there is, also lots of building concrete and metal to be heated up with that fuel. In addition, there is convection time (the time it takes heat to penetrate steel and concrete from the outside). In addition, one need consider the air passages to the fuel. The fuel can't burn without air.

When you look at the pictures of the people standing around the crash openings in the buildings (Twin Towers before they came down), it is highly unlikely that that there was enough heat to melt anything - that most of the fuel burned off inefficiently in the air - because the people would not have been able to stand around in the 2,000+ degrees F that it would take to crumble concrete and melt steel, especially when there isn't near enough time for convection to have occurred without roasting the people as well.

If this was the Boston Marathon bombing guy they were looking for ask yourself this. The 2 brothers were alive and involved in a shootout with police, killing the older brother. The younger brother got away after the police shootout THEN was missing for over 8 hours.

Ok how do you have 2000 cops, dogs and thermal imaging helicopters and lose a 17 year old boy you just got in a shootout with for 8 hours?

Finally a guy finds him in his backyard. The police did do much of anything excpet put on a show for the American people at 8pm on a Friday night.

I'm opposed to the big shows of force as you are but see (bolded above).

Someone hides, and you go find him.  You think you could do better?

8029  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Reddit’s science forum banned climate deniers. on: May 06, 2016, 11:53:35 AM
FWIW, if you look at that chart...

You can plainly see, that the sun is barely even emitting light at the frequencies in the middle of the spectrum (top portion labelled spectral intensity)
Even where there is no spike to absorb the rays, they are non-existent because the sun is not producing photons of that frequency

The only absorption spike that CO2 has, which is not covered by the vastly more abundant water vapor... is in this range... where there is nothing to absorb because nothing is being emitted from the sun at those frequencies
.....

First, "transmitted" means "allowed to pass through the volume of air which is the atmosphere."

That is not a chart of the spectrum the sun emits.

Second, CO2 in the atmosphere will absorb first, because in the stratosphere and above, there is no water vapor or very little, but there is the partial pressure of CO2.  But the amount of CO2 is very small, and the amount of water vapor very large.  So it is correct to say that it would have been absorbed anyway, except for the one spike that CO2 has that water vapor does not have.

The fact that this is a chart of what occurs "in the volume of air" is the very point which refutes the argument by dwma:

rays hitting the earth and being absorbed at a constant rate per CO2 when in reality the radiation shifts in frequency and the "spectral lines" change. This added complexity explains why you want temperatures on the ground.

However, the chart is misleading by presenting "incoming" and "outgoing" on the same chart, the first one.  They are not discrete phenomena.

FOR THE ACTUAL SOLAR RADIATION

Halfway down this page is an excellent illustration.

"They need to leave and then they can come back"

That sounds about right, possible even.
Makes you wonder why no one else has suggested it, some would actually get a legitimate job.
Work visas is a must also.

I thought Illegals would be arrested and banned from ever going back, but it seems the law is flouted with impunity especially by employers.
Picking them up in trucks is done on a daily basis, I have seen that done many times.
Something should be done about that.
I know a lot of "illegal mexicans."   One for example has been here 20+ years.  While back he told me that he wasn't going down into Mexico to visit his mom at Christmas any more, because it wasn't safe.  Seems he got stopped by some bandits on the road, they took his car, money, everything, left him and his family by the side of the road in the middle of nowhere.

Lots of stories, different life situations.  EASIEST thing is to force them to leave, then they immediately come back with a passport and give them a work visa, weed out the hard criminals in the process.

So like, this situation can be vastly improved, made a good thing, with some care and attention.

One thing.  I haven't seen or heard either an illegal mexican or a US hispanic go on an anti Trump rant.  Not once.  Mexicans' attitude about politics is that politics is crooked, period.  I mean, think about it.  They are Mexicans.  They know corrupt like we are just beginning to see hints of.

That seems to be some kind of fakeness presented by paid shills (or something) when the TV cameras are around.

I guess my comment on this issue would be that it illustrates incredible and pretty much unbelievable levels of incompetence in Washington at dealing with relatively simple real world issues and problems.
8033  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Up Like Trump on: May 05, 2016, 10:53:33 PM
11 million undocumented foreigners should not be living/working in the US no matter how you look at it.
Blame business owners for that, cheap labor does put another person out of work.

Nieto is probably doing his part in running illegals over.

You really got to wonder why these people think they don't need and shouldn't have passports.

Seems like a lot of them could be given work visas.  But then like Trump said, "They need to leave and then they can come back."

Episode 308 - 9/11 Trillions: Follow The Money

Forget for one moment everything you’ve been told about September 11, 2001. Instead let’s ask ourselves one question: What was 9/11? A terrorist atrocity? An attack on America? The first salvo in a new war? .....

One interesting difference betwen the conspiracy theorists of the Kennedy assasination and the 911 conspiracy theorists.

Kennedy - The conspiracy theory is simply that there was more than one shooter.

911 - They are all over the map, literally.  None of them agree with each other.  It's like a hundred different things these guys spout off.  And between the different theories, there doesn't seem to be any logical consistency.

All over the map because the official story is so outlandishly stupid that most people can see how retarded it is.

Cool
Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to mean they are LESS retarded.

Smiley

If you are talking about the 9/11 commission, you're probably right.    Cool
I'll be more specific.

Unfortunately, this doesn't mean that people criticizing the "official story" are LESS retarded than those who produced it.

Of course not. It simply shows that the ones who ARE less retarded have the more reasonable theories that are often very close to correct. It certainly doesn't mean that the official story is any less outlandish.

Cool
Regardless of your repeating things like that over and over, in this and the prior thread neither you nor ANYONE ELSE has been able to refute the basic facts against simple math, chemistry and physics.   As such you might want to revise your statements and glib generalizations to make them less of blatant lies.

Side note regarding the link to the "Follow the money" story.

EVIN RYAN: That’s true. The Carlyle Group had a meeting at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Washington on September 11th and present there were former President George H. W. Bush, James Baker and the brother of Osama Bin-Laden. I believe his name was Salem, I can’t recall his exact name.

Salem was killed in a plane crash in 1988.

One other comment though, because this is laughable.  "Follow the money?"  There's really no "money trail" as far as a government response to a crisis.  Think about it.  A crisis occurs, government responds.  The meaning of that is they print money and hand it out in response to the crisis.  Whatever - war in Iraqi, Katrina, 911.  Printing money in response to a crisis is what they ALWAYS DO.  Therefore, following the money does not lead to culpable parties.  It leads to the same actors they always give money out to.

And please remember, I've really only addressed the mechanical and physical aspects of the 911 atrocities by the Muslim terrorists.

After one is through establishing that it's a mis representation to try to argue that jet fuel doesn't melt steel, that nanothermites were a necessary part of the scheme, that no jet hit the pentagon... after one is through debunking all these silly things, you can still develop alternate opinions about the original persons who conceived of the plan, and hired the 20 muslims to have their little Allah Ackbar moment.

People who commit honor killings are arrested all the time. It is the time they spend in jail, after their arrest, is what you should look for as a basis to what is the definition of justice in country.
Yes, that makes sense.  Maybe they are arrested and then let off easy.  Or they are treated harshly.  And this should be used to judge the culture and the country.
8039  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Episode 308 - 9/11 Trillions: Follow The Money on: May 05, 2016, 06:45:27 PM

Fixed your quotes.  Was tempted to re-install the BD's deleted links, but the viewer can still jump to them easily if desired.  Anyway...

No real mystery here; 911 was a vastly more complex operation than was the Kennedy assasination, and one which almost certainly had a wider range of overall goals.  Even with Kennedy it seems that there are a variety of theories about what the primary driving force behind his assasination may have been.  It was before my time and I've not studied it a whole lot though.

There is no doubt that the Kennedy assassination is an interesting historical question.  There are a number of colorful and mysterious characters circling around Oswald.  There was the "magic bullet" theory, and the killing of Oswald.

Behind any theory of how the events unfolded with JFK, there are questions of motive that can be worked into a conspiracy plot.  911 is a much weaker subject for a strong conspiracy theory in comparison, which can be easily understood by looking at the conspiracy theories about 911.

Offhand I can't recall any "Evil Jews Did It" conspiracy theories about JFK, though.

"Evil Jew Theories" today strictly as propaganda, put out by Muslims.

You seem quite fixated on 'the Jews.'  I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering if a percieved threat to this group is responsible for your giant blind spot which blots out nearly everything associated with the 911 operation.  And spurs a multitude of your posts on this thread which can only be characterized as being humiliating to you.  Unfortunatly it also casts doubt on other subjects where your work is of higher intelectual and analytical quality.

LOL, it's not I that's fixated by the Jews, it's other people that blame everything including an ice cream cone being dropped on the hot sidewalk on Jews.  I just got tired of the bullshit, and the way it's used to advance anti-American and anti-Israeli objectives for political purposes, regardless of whether there is any truth to the accusations.

As for your other comments, we can agree to disagree.  But you or someone's wanting to believe that there is a hidden conspiracy to 911 does not mean that scientific facts and inquiry is abandoned on every insanely crazy thing that's said.  Like the nano-thermite nonsense, the "no planes hit the towers," many other things.  From your approach it seems none of this should be questioned.  Not just your approach, a lot of the 911 truthers are this way - if you question anything they say, you must be a government agent.  But as I noted - few or none of their theories even agree with each other.

Unfortunatly it also casts doubt on other subjects where your work is of higher intelectual and analytical quality.

And if you have a problem with someone saying they will play the role of refuting 911 alternative theories with 8th grade chemistry, math and physics then there is a problem with you.  If many of the assertions can be refuted at the 8th grade level, this does not say much of the intellectual and analytical capacities of those making the accusations.  So if so doing casts doubt on other subjects, so be it.  You could say, "well, that's only 8th grade level work."  Yes, by definition and agreement.
