Thanks for the replies guys, I didn't even notice that it linked to a spoof bitcointalk.org address!
I've reported the user too.

There has been quite a few scams running around, another huge one was the Novacoin giveaway.

Always ask the bitcointalk community before taking any risk and clicking an unknown or unsafe link.

Cheers!

I'd rather not trust this guy with anything.

Why? Because he complained about someone?

No, because of how he handled the situation.

How would you have handled it? Tongue

8050  Economy / Lending / Re: iNVeSTMeNT oPPoRTuNiTY - 6 btc business loan for 6 months at 2.5% on: September 05, 2013, 12:38:08 AM
Vod, check his reg date again. He's a 2012, not a 2013. Domain he listed has been around for at least a year too.

Now that's not to say he won't run off with the coins, but he's not just another brand new account with a domain registered yday, asking for a loan Smiley

My suspicions are based on his four reputation loans - starting at 0.25 up to 1.32btc.  Loans that were taken for no real reason (some paid back same day) other than to allow him to borrow even more btc next time.    He doesn't even take it seriously - thinks it's a game (thanks for playing).  Red flag.

Out of respect for his forum age, I will refrain from commenting in this thread.

A game = gambling.  lol another reason why not to loan.

8057  Economy / Goods / Re: Sony PSP-3000 With CFW and 8GB Memory Stick on: September 04, 2013, 11:01:19 PM
A hacked - 3rd hand item ...

A new one of your console is about $150 USD.

second hand is like, yeah, $60 - 70 USD.

Third hand should be a lot cheaper.

Uh oh... Scammer mad at vod.  Sad

for the lulz.

Anyways, your collateral for a $900 USD loan is a trailer??  How are you going to get that to us??

and geez, I would never invest, sorry.  6 BTC @2.5% for half a year...  I could earn more mining with my laptop.  Ok, maybe not, but it's not worth it at all.

8059  Economy / Lending / Re: I LOAN YOU! on: September 04, 2013, 10:52:49 PM
Bank's highest interest rate is 20% per annum and here you are 50% per day.

Are you talking about like, actual banks?  If so, you must know they have a completely different module than online bitcoin loans.
8060  Other / Archival / Re: finally opened a wallet. on: September 04, 2013, 10:51:17 PM
So you just got a wallet and you're asking for bitcoin?  FREE money?  Dude, it's not that easy, how about trying to earn it?  Like the rest of us?
