8061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Bitcoin even have a future? on: May 08, 2017, 06:49:43 AM
I dont really expect to bitcoin that it will increase it's price into infinite maybe price are just increasing because of the increasing bitcoin holder and also we need lot of miners to increase the bitcoin the can exist still a long run to reach the maximum limit every for years so it just because of the increasing bitcoin holder but i think bitcoin really have a good future in the industry.
Well, you have to believe now, that is how it works, the price value of bitcoin has increase because there is big development and this year was not most exciting year to watch as after breaking the ATH we are having another ATH from time to time. The surprises will not gonna end yet, take time to monitor and never close your eyes so you can ride with it but ride with caution all the time.
I hope Bitcoin would reach always all time highs because it will benefit us all. Depending on what other things that try to make of bitcoin, I just hope that it's for the positive view of Bitcoin. I know that more people would try to use it because of the possibilities that you can have with it. It's exciting to be a part of the Bitcoin community.
Bitcoin will have a better surprises for us this coming few months because i believe that bitcoin can reach to a higher price than now and it can reach up to 3000 USD until the next year because i can see that bitcoin is unstoppable right now and a lot of people are getting into bitcoin and that means additional demand for the market and additional for the future successful percentage.
8062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we expect "average Joe" to remember passphrases to his Bitcoins? on: May 08, 2017, 06:39:00 AM
This is a huge issue to me and someone needs to find a way to make the safekeeping of cryptocurrency easier and more fool-proof.
You don't need to worry too much about the safekeeping of your passphrases because there is a lot of things you can do which is very easy like having a soft copy of your passphrase and keeping it on the safe place that you know so you don't need to store it online which is very unsafe, you can also get a copy of your passphrase and keep it on an offline usb or you can just make a paper wallet to store your cryptocurrencies and passphrases at the same time Grin.
8063  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason of increasing bitcoin price on: May 08, 2017, 06:31:31 AM
Who are know the actual reason of bitcoin price? How can i predict about bitcoin pricing high or low?

We can't predict the bitcoin price. But I think the reason why they dumped bitcoin price and pumped easily is because of the News. I think some people manipulate news and If there's a good news the bitcoin will pump, and If the news is bad the bitcoin dump.
That is how bitcoin is very vulnerable to the news and for a few little change, the price is very vulnerable and because of just small things it can either goes up very high or goes down very hard. There is no one can manipulate the news because people now are so smart and they can find out if the news was legit or not so i think we just need to get used to it.
8064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: May 08, 2017, 06:17:12 AM
I am not satisfied with the too long speed of operations. It's still bad that you can not use your coins without the Internet.
True, I also feel the same irritation when doing a transaction with a small fee. Eg fee 0.0001 btc with blockchain wallet. I'm sure you'll get confirmation the next day Lol

Yeah the fees or confirming transactions is one of the most irritating moments when we are doing transaction. I think this kind of problem is need to fix as soon as possible because if not then it will be the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin and that can bitcoin to drop its price and people will just leave bitcoin because of that.

Agree the fees now a days is one of the biggest disadvantage of bitcoin unlike in the past that isnt the problem but now it is and the delay of sending or receiving bitcoin it really takes time. Though i think it will be resolve sooner or later and i hope so because the price of bitcoin is really incredebly high so it is very good to sell now Cheesy
If you bought your bitcoin at a lower price than the past few weeks then you can sell now but if i were you, i will not sell my bitcoins because i still believe that there is more to wait for this year and i will just decide if i will sell or not after the year ends. The price of bitcoin is just for attraction for other people to invest but it will pump more for this coming months because there is something big coming.
8065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017? on: May 08, 2017, 06:07:42 AM
I think, that 2017 is a good year for bitcoin. We can see this at the beginning of the year, a good start.
I agree with you, this year is a good year for bitcoin, wait nope, this is the best year for bitcoin! because we can see a lot of things happening right now and the things are keep going and we already read a lot of good news about bitcoin and the price is one of the proof that bitcoin is doing well. I hope this good start will continue up to the upcoming years.
8066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: May 08, 2017, 05:58:34 AM
I have been seeing Bitcoins' price rising with a stability in its growth, but due to the higher mining fee that is being levied on transactions these days, big businesses are now moving their funds towards alts and taking advantage with their least fees as well as shaping a completely new economy in the trends of altcoin markets. Do you think this may harm Bitcoin's dignity and open up a chance in real for alts to rise?
As the price of bitcoin keeps growing I think it will be impossible for many users of countries with low income to keep using bitcoin, not only for the fees but the price in itself, just look at the price right now and if some of the prediction come true about the future price of bitcoin, then things are going to become even worst.
That is one of the things that we need to consider for bitcoin, most of the people that i know also want to use bitcoin  as their currency but the problem is, they can't afford such thing like the regular fees when they are doing transaction and also the continuous rising for the price of bitcoin which is not affordable anymore for other people.
8067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: May 08, 2017, 05:47:10 AM
Buying bitcoin has its risk just as any other investment does, but it has been the top performing currency in the world several of the past years. Bitcoin definitely has its ups and downs though.

Just need to buy for the amount of money that it is not a pity to lose and do not store all the funds in one basket. Bitcoin is still the best currency, but everything can change at any time.
I agree with you. Buying bitcoins from all of our money is very risky and i think it is better if we just put just a small amount of our money in bitcoin so if something happen like the price of bitcoin goes very low then still we can cope it and we will not be that person who regrets a lot. Investment is all about discipline and having a great dedication but always remember that don't be greedy because greediness often lead to loss.
8068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How to confirm a transaction ? on: May 08, 2017, 05:35:10 AM
How to manually confirm a pending transaction ?

What are the requirements to do it by myself ?
I don't think there is possibility for you to confirm a transaction because the miners can only do that to confirm your transactions but i found a site which can help you to confirm you transaction and i tried it a few days ago with my stuck transaction and it gets a confirmation just after i use the site. Here is the link, i hope it can help you. https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/
8069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin is not Ideal, it represents possibilities. on: May 07, 2017, 11:58:30 AM
The world is going towards IoTs (internet of things). Everything will be connected in future. The missing part is money. Although online bank transactions and credit card payments contribute to the online concept, but still there is a need of a strong cryptocurrency to become a Pivot point in IoTs. So far, Bitcoin is a strong candidate, but I agree there are a lot of problems regarding the security of something which is online... Special protocols are required to safeguard Bitcoins from adversaries.

Most money is already digital so I don’t think bitcoin is that necessary at least from that point of view, bitcoin is a must because it gives back to people the right to print their own currency.
I don't think that most of the money is already digital because if so, then we don't need to use fiat anymore and we will just need an internet connection and smartphone but that's not what's happening right now because we still use physical money. Bitcoin is a must to use bitcoin of its security and possibilities to own a currency and have an investment at the same time.
8070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people use/hold bitcoin in 2016 on: May 07, 2017, 11:46:06 AM
I can't say exactly about users of bitcoin. But recently there was a study by CCAF ( Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance) which stated that more than 3 million people are into cryptocurrencies at present and actively using it.
I think it is still not enough for the amount of people using cryptocurrencies because there is still a lot of people who are currently using bitcoin or any kind of cryptocurrency around the world and they might not counted in that study that is done by the CCAF. In my estimation i think the number of users will go around 10-20 million of people as of 2016.
8071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make governments accept bitcoin? on: May 07, 2017, 11:32:49 AM
If you want those governments to accept bitcoin then we should help them to understand what is bitcoin by having a good explanation to the authorities of bitcoin like a proposal to tell them the good benefits of using bitcoin and the possibility for a change for the financial system if we they will accept and use bitcoin as their investment or another type of currency.
yes you are right that if the government want to make them understand about bitcoin we should help them that what is bitcoin, what are its benefits and how it will bring some positive changes in the economy of the country. But i think the governments are always independent in their all works and they will not want that people interfere in their work, if they want to study about bitcoin they will study it without our suggestion or opinion.
Good government still depend to the majority and most of the countries now are democratic and that means freedom, you can do all what you want as long as it doesn't disobey the law of your country and having a suggestion for the government will be appreciated because nothing can get better for being a good helper for improving its own country so i think it will be easy for the government to accept bitcoin if they fully understand it.
8072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's going on with BTC transaction times?? on: May 07, 2017, 11:23:54 AM
The transaction now is getting slower and slower and the confirmations takes a lot of times but i can still experience the speed of confirmation that i get used to, which is about 10 minutes to get a confirmation and i just pad at least 50k satoshi fee for that and i think that is a good range of a fee and still fair so i think it is just always depends on the fee.
8073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we expect "average Joe" to remember passphrases to his Bitcoins? on: May 07, 2017, 11:12:41 AM
I am pretty bad in remembering these pass-phrases. So I have written down them in a piece of paper and kept it securely in my locker. If this is lost, then all my coins are gone. Also, if someone steals that piece of paper, then it is trouble for me.
I think it is dangerous for you to put your pass-phrase copy in your paper from your locker because pass-phrases are easy to identify and other people that have access to your locker can get and steal it, so if you ask me, i will just put it on my room or put it in the book and place it around my room and also i will ask my parents to remember it so i will not be worry.
8074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what situation would Bitcoin die? on: May 07, 2017, 10:58:07 AM
How and why would the end of bitcoin (and any other cryptocurrency) occur? Value decrease? Legality issues? Different technology/ideas to supersede it?
I know that i am late to this board, but it is my understanding that if one miner or owner of bitcoin controls more than 50% control they could potentially ruin the system.  Thoughts?
No they can't, there is no capability for any one to have a control in bitcoin unless it is about the price of bitcoin, if a miner or owner or a whale (big investor) does have the 50% of the supply of bitcoin then he can dictate the price by dumping it to the point that he wants but it is very rare to happen and we should not be worry about it.
8075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes the bitcoin price stronger in the market? on: May 07, 2017, 10:47:19 AM

There are aspects that make bitcoin users more and more convinced that bitcoin is a good place for investment so now bitcoin prices are rising in the market!

The following may have influenced the rising of Bitcoin price in the market:

1) Its supply is fixed.
2) There seems to be a huge number of people using and/or dealing with Bitcoin.
3) The higher Bitcoin's price is, the higher the number of transactions involving Bitcoin will come to play.
4) Pioneer among other digital currencies, or should I say, the most popular of all digital currencies as of writing.

The list above is not exclusive as there are other factors that contribute to its success in the market.

They are just the reason why bitcoin grows steadily, but, that is wrong, the bitcoin market is mutating, it grows abruptly, and without any event making that happen, I Feeling very curious about it. So, I feel worried, bitcoin may be being taken over by some force.
Bitcoin won't get trapped into specific hands. If it is possible then it could have taken place long back when several hard forking and other issues arise from the technology side as well the development side. So no need to fear that it go worthless or under someone's control.
Bitcoin now is decentralized and there is no organization or people controlling over bitcoin because the only thing that can happen in bitcoin is manipulation especially in the market, like dictating the price but it will not be that huge deal for other people because it is very normal for a decentralized currency because it is only depending on the demand.
8076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transactions now take ages to confirm? on: May 07, 2017, 10:07:34 AM
Thank your friendly neighborhood core devs, who thought full blocks and a 'healthy fee market' was a great idea.

Time for bigger blocks.  Maybe segwit later...but bigger blocks now to buy us time..otherwise bitcoin will just lose to alts. no one will put up with this shit for long.
Yeah I agree that we need bigger blocks because 1MB block can't handle 250k-350k transactions per day but we should try segwit first because I think it's right thing to do at the moment and LTC has gained more because of segwit. If segwit doesn't work, then hard fork will do.
Segwit is one of the best solution that we have in option and i think the segwit on litecoin is just a trial and if it becomes successful then bitcoin will try it also and we will have a bigger blocks and have a more efficient transactions. The another good thing about segwit is, it will help the price to get higher because a lot of investors will treat segwit as a good tool for bitcoin and they will invest more.
8077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a source of income? on: May 07, 2017, 09:50:31 AM
In early stages, indeed we only need to take advantage of free time and without disrupting our work .. However, when we have started an online business such as online stores, then of course we need to plunge fully. Because bitcoin deserves to be a source income.

Yes, in this era of technology. Bitcoin deserves to be a source of income, many types of businesses that can be developed by utilizing bitcoin as payment.
Establishing a business is one of the best thing to have a source of income thru bitcoin because it will be a popular business because you will be accepting a new mode of payment and it will make other people curious and they will try it also and since you are the store that only accepting bitcoin then you will more customers and earn more money.
8078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ViaBTC: Should we active Segwit? on: May 07, 2017, 09:35:54 AM
I think yes, we should activate segwit because it will be a big help for bitcoin because it will increase the size and it can help for the speed of transactions to be faster than now, i tried litecoin and even the segwit is not fully activated, i think it will make litecoin more efficient so why not give it a try for bitcoin Huh
8079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you use Bitcoin if it was proprietary/closed source software? on: May 07, 2017, 09:20:11 AM
I do, i will still use bitcoin even it is closed source software because i don't care too much about it as long as bitcoin is decentralized and convenient then being closed source software will not bother me in using it. I am more focus on the features of a coin rather than its technical specs like being closed source software or any kind of things that related to that.
8080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why only now many countries recognize bitcoin as a virtual currency? on: May 07, 2017, 09:07:43 AM

Because its price is now sky high then many countries use bitcoin as virtual currency

What you think with phenomenal like this

This is not about the price the price you think, it is more likely that bitcoin now is getting more popular in different places of the world, that's why many merchants and company are now adopting the concepts of bitcoin. Maybe because the usages and features of bitcoin now was very easy to apply and to use.
I agree with you, it is not always about the price because sometimes other people or big companies look at the usage of bitcoin and its features that can help them to gain more money and secure their money because they didn't need to get into the bank for a security because they just need a hardware wallet and that will do for them to secure their money and also give them bigger interest than banks because of price volatility.
