You could always ask if you repay your loan if you can get your negative trust removed: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1073636.msg11511732#msg11511732

I mean that seems like it's the only issue and better late than never.

So whats the collateral there for then?

Collateral is there to secure the loan with the lender. I (usually) hold on to all of the collateral I collect even after loans expire just in case someone repays me. It's something that is taken as an insurance, not as a way to avoid paying back what you owe. (Though that's just my opinion however right or wrong I am)
8083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin transacation stuck in iOS BRD (Breadwallet) on: June 08, 2018, 09:49:02 PM
Did you find a solution @OP?

The BRD app connects directly to the cryptocurrency networks it supports. There are no accounts or usernames with the BRD app. Instead, you will have a "wallet"

What?

8085  Other / Meta / Re: How to create sub-section in the forums? on: June 08, 2018, 08:20:43 PM
This forum probably won't let you do it here but you could make your own forum.

This forum's code is based on simple machines code, here

If you rent server space (as a vps) or get your own since you mine then you can make your own forum and call it whatever you want for your community. You could make it pay for itself by asking for donations or putting up adverts that go back into the funding and maintenance of the website.
8086  Other / Meta / Re: Watchlist shows posts which are not on my watchlist on: June 08, 2018, 08:00:56 PM
So I monitored my watchlist all day and looks like when you add a board to watchlist from the date when you added it, all threads from that board are automatically marked as to Watch, and when you remove the board, all threads to date are marked as Watch, and you have to remove them manually.

Yes., that's correct. You have to go through everything individually and delete them from the list.
8087  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 08, 2018, 07:53:02 PM
How many people are running the FREE ROLL option more than 12 times a day? Would it not be fair to say that if people are running the FREE ROLL option 24 times a day, that it would surely be a bot? That would mean that they are not sleeping at all. Roll Eyes

I know in the beginning I ran it almost 8 to 10 times a day at 1000+ Satoshi per ROLL.  Grin ... I hardly run it more than 2 to 3 times a day now, because I am simply too busy. <just doing it, because I have been doing it for years.>

I don't know, I'm sure there may be people doing 24+ hour shifts that get bored on their computers/servers and set an alarm every hour to play on the free roll in case they can get anything (even if it's just to get a high rp bonus or for lottery tickets to try to win).

I stayed up once to wait for a fork to happen as I had 1BTC+ in freebitco.in and kept hitting the free roll that day in order to keep myself preoccupied to get the exact time that the fork was happening - I was obviously doing other stuff in the background.
8088  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: "unconfirmed"=pending in mempool or Added to Block+waiting for 3 more blocks? on: June 08, 2018, 07:50:13 PM
Thanks for the feedback. I will look into explaining what exactly confirmations mean either in this FAQ entry or a linked article.
Confirmations basically shows the number of blocks that has been mined ontop of the block that has included the transaction. Confirmations will never be enough for a transaction to be considered irreversible. The higher the number of confirmations simply mean that it would be harder for any attacker to reverse the transaction.

At some point it becomes too hard for any attacker to reverse the transaction. 6 confirmations is that mark.

Isn't it before that point, it's just put as 6 for safety?

Once every node has received a block, its very hard to remove that block as the nodes are then just looking out for the next block (obviously if that next block has a different previous block hash then the other block has to be pulled also). After about 3 block it already becomes qutie difficult to launch an attack and play jenga with the blockchain to get that block out from nodes?

This has gone really off topic anyway.
8089  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: HASHNEST Discussion and Support Thread on: June 08, 2018, 07:24:51 PM
s7's are available to be redeemed now within 7 days.. its like 110 to something like 130 dollars for handling and shipping for each s7.. I don't think I'm going to redeem them.. I don't know if there is much aftermarket demand for them here or ebay but it doesn't seem like theres much demand or any at all..
Hmmmm, which is the cheapest shipping provider?
EDIT: it's $127 with dhl, that's a bit sad Sad

And if there's import tax on top of the shipping and handling, selling them would probably only break even.. I don't see anything about coupons this time
I don't think there is any import tax, might be wrong though - you're not buying something and I have no idea what price i bought it for.

I'm not sure how profitible these miners will actually be once redeemed

8091  Other / Meta / Re: Account locked issue for security on: June 08, 2018, 03:47:35 PM
I have posted(commented) my ethereum address in forum(will it help to recover?)
I didn't do anything unusual.I added a security question to my account and then changed my password.
Yeah i have used my account recently before changing password.
I have changed it from my own ip not from any public wifi.
I will be grateful if anyone could help me.

Follow the regular account recovery but sign that ETH address instead of a bitcoin address (follow the instructions on the sticky for this board).

I think you can send this information to hilariousandco to get him to unlock it as it's just security banned and not locked completely.
8092  Other / Meta / Re: Account locked issue for security on: June 08, 2018, 03:33:04 PM
Did you post ANY signable public key, an altcoin address or another generally accepted key.

Is there anything unusual you did with your account, have you used it recently before changing the password.

It's looks like your account was locked after you changed both keys. Did you change it from an IP you own or another person's IP. What company was the IP in? (What were the first two parts - the bit between the start and the second dot)?
8093  Other / Meta / Re: Abuse of self-moderation by scammers on: June 08, 2018, 03:20:19 PM
Mods are not volunteers.  They are paid monthly for their service.
Read somewhere by someone in the Staff that it's effectively like volunteering. Might have been wrong about that.

Theymos calls them volunteers. They do get paid, but they don't get paid a lot in comparison to how much they do to get rid of all the spam here.
And people definitely have done that, but I wouldn't count on that as a warning system.  I'm sure there are plenty of people who are too apathetic to start up a scam accusation thread.  When I see a self-moderated thread in which the OP is trying to promote something--an ICO, a campaign, whatever--I'm instantly suspicious, and I think others should probably adopt that attitude as well.  Yes, they could be trying to limit spam in the thread but it is definitely a mechanism by which dissent can be suppressed, and it can easily cover up helpful criticism.
People aren't that apathetic. If you want proof, look at my trust, I got negged by a noob for not reading someone's usermame Smiley! If that much effort was put in over something so stupid, surely a scammer who deletes and negs posts will also get his comeuppance.
8094  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: "unconfirmed"=pending in mempool or Added to Block+waiting for 3 more blocks? on: June 08, 2018, 03:08:56 PM
The transaction hasn't been included in a block as yet. More here
Quote
A clock icon means the transaction has confirmed but not enough times to be considered irreversible.

this may create the confusion that transactions are confirmed multiple times. in fact as a beginner i remember thinking when my transaction has for example  10 confirmation it means it is confirmed/mined 10 times!

rephrasing to "not deep enough" is better in my opinion. because that is what it means. when a transaction has 10 confirmation it means it is 10 blocks deep.

It sort of does confirm again though IMO. You put the hash of the previous block on that block so it has to be accepted by a miner in a similar way to a regular block other than it is "confirmed" the block was mined right not mined again but instead the hash gets confirmed before including it in the next block. This is obviously something the node sprts though.
8095  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 08, 2018, 02:57:33 PM
Anyway TheQuin, why I suddenly logoff from my freebitco.in account and I can't login again? Is there something wrong with the site? First I have 2FA which is not easy to hack my account there

I'm still logged in and nobody else has reported a problem. What happens when you try and log back in?

Check Google auth is synced right by resyncing it from the app (it's in settings I think on the app).

Check your emails also.
Okay, you got some pretty much source of income here which is you can gain your capital easily to hit that number. I still do not get it how you are going to make that much in just a short time, anyway it is really a good job you have there by slowly gaining money and stack it there

it wasn't exactly that short and I have a LOT of ways of making bitcoin. for instance I recently received 0.01BTC payment from the ads (banners) that I had with some bitcoin ad network that I don't even remember which one it was, I just know the address that received the payment was for ads.
there is also my signature campaign payments. looking at my payments I currently have 0.45BTC which is for more than 3 months of work.
there is also trading. and sometimes I get lucky there! for example I earned 0.1BTC from some shitcoin that was getting pumped and I just joined the ride and transferred the profit here.
I even have some plans to start some mining operation. possibly will start it in winter.

the thing is, I really do believe in the future of bitcoin so I am busting my ass earning as much as I can and also from time to time I buy bitcoin with fiat to accumulate more.
I also want to accumulate more. Sadly the markets are too stable at the moment for me to make a profit Sad.
8096  Other / Meta / Re: Shall we limit the bounty zone for members+? on: June 07, 2018, 09:59:14 PM
No keep them in the bounty zone. There they are contained, we don't want them spilling across into other areas of the forum. "Out of sight... out of mind" as they say.

They'll get the 10 merits if they try (or buy it) and then they will go on to still post and spam the bounty sections.
8097  Other / Meta / Re: Watchlist shows posts which are not on my watchlist on: June 07, 2018, 09:56:03 PM
You could probably do with changing your password just in case that's the issue.

I'm specifically talking about Announcements (Altcoins) 159. This board is not on my watchlist, but from time to time I keep seeing threads from that board, in my watchlist. Is it a bug, or is it promotional posts?

You've probably commented on them for them to appear in your watchlist?

So I went through some of those threads from my watchlist, to make sure, and I didn't commented on any of those threads(Made comment in a single thread, and only because I found it on my watchlist).
Do you usually do something with the altcoin section normally tha tmight have accidentally made you click "watch board" at the top?

There is no such thing as "promotional posts".

Go to the Watch board and see if the Announcements board is there. If it is, type the id (159) in the textbox and press "Unwatch board".

Just guessing about "promotional posts" Cheesy

That board was on my watchlist, but like a week ago I removed it.

So I'm digging deeper, for example, this thread "[ANN][ICO]Westrend Coin: The Blockchain based Real Estate Investment Platform" posted Today at 10:22:21, and it's somehow marked to watch that thread, and I'm pretty sure I didn't press to watch that thread, because all that section is a shitshow.
I think if there were a promotion scheme like that, a lot of us would leave (I would consider it) because this is a Bitcoin forum and we can't be looking at other currencies more favourably than Bitcoin without changing the name.

Stuff will still come up even though you have unwatched the board since then. If that thread was started before then then it'll still be on your watchlist, you'll have to go through a tedious task of removing ALL of them individually.

8099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin transacation stuck in iOS BRD (Breadwallet) on: June 07, 2018, 08:26:49 PM
Yes the wallet has a backup seed, and looks like I have version 3.0.1 (288). I didn't realize there was a desktop version, can I just install that and access my wallet through the backup seed?

I think there's a desktop version, unless it's just for mobile.

If not, get electrum and follow these instructions:
1. Open the electrum you just downloaded/installed
2. Select "Standard Wallet"
3. "I already have a seed"
4. Paste in the seed in the box, click "options" and tick bip39 seed.
5. Paste in the next window m/0' and hit next.
Then follow the steps (adding a name and a password) and your wallet should be created with everything.

(actually this might not work - some poeple online seem to say that's the derivation path, others say they use their own thing).
You can import the master private key if you can find it (but take both devices offline) while importing! That'll start with xprv.
8100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin transacation stuck in iOS BRD (Breadwallet) on: June 07, 2018, 08:18:43 PM
So to my surprise, I recently found 1.01 BTC in an old mobile wallet (Breadwallet). I tried sending a small amount (around .025) out last night and the transaction got stuck in "sending" for a while and then eventually canceled itself out, leaving me with my original balance. This morning I decided to send the full amount out and the transaction again is stuck in "sending" but hasn't canceled out yet. The transaction ID it provides also can't be found on the block explorer. Any advise on what to do?

Can you install breadwallet on a desktop and try again? Or try updating your breadwallet app once you've backed up all the data from it.

Also, what version of the app was the wallet made in do you know - does the wallet have a seed?
