Wow, I haven't visited that section of the forum since probably 2015.  The posts don't seem like they were written by bots, but who knows.  It could be somebody just trying to gain activity on some new accounts, because those posts do look like typical shitposts that account farmers make.  I think there are still people who use newbie accounts for bounties and so forth, so a lot of them keep getting created--and if I'm not mistaken farmers love Politics & Society and the like, because anything goes.

If bitcointalk is under attack, let's hope it stays contained in Off-Topic.  lol

That topic looks like it's all bots, some names are similar, posts as well... Probably, someone going in for the bounties, a few of them are alts for sure. Like that one with 7273 or 2727...

That would be pointless considering the effort it takes to make all those newbie accounts when you can go into any thread (yes, any of them) in Off-topic and find that most of the posts are garbage and deserve to be reported. In fact, I would even go as to say that you could simply lock the first page of Off-topic and it still wouldn't change the spam problem there, even by 1%.
