8102  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitsdaq exchange probably (SCAM) on: April 25, 2019, 10:31:31 AM
Why do you need other exchanges since Binance has a large options for altcoin trading. Why risk your money to new exchanges when there are exchanges with good reputation that is available?

Not every coin is listed on Binance regardless of how good the project is.

Bitsdaq’s platform had received many complaints concerning withdrawals. As I know this situation doesn't appear to have changed even now.

That sounds suck. I don't know what happens to Bittrex recently but their new program has lots of troubles. Like their first IEO, and now this.

Suhu, Mau Tanya.
Kalo Mau Ikut Translation Campaign, Tapi Gak Punya Portofolio Bagaimana?
Apa Harus Translate Beberapa WP Coin(ETH,XLM,dkk) Gede Secara Sukarela?

3. apakah authy open source?

Authy tidak open source. Kalau agan ingin make yang open source bisa make andOTP[1], tapi terbatas hanya untuk Android saja. Kalau mau dipake di komputer bisa make emulator sih.

8105  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex locked me out on: April 25, 2019, 09:17:00 AM
I had been using Bittrex for a years and yet I never encounter any problem like yours have, I just only activate the 2FA but not submitting my personal information on which is the KYC. But I have a limited withdrawal in it for about 0.02BTC daily due to that I am not submitting my KYC to their platform.

You can still use Bittrex without submitting any KYC? Last time I remember KYC is a must to use their exchange.

It is not a new thing for local exchange users in my country. The biggest Indonesian bitcoin exchange asks the same thing for any users who want to use their service no matter how much we are going to trade then we should provide our photo holding the ID card. It was applied since few years ago IIRC and I believe it is not a big deal for most of us. It is due to government rules imho.

It's actually a big deal for me if they're not regulated and don't have strong security protection for sensitive user data. Until this point, I don't really want to do any KYC at all in most sites. If I can avoid KYC I'd definitely avoid that, but if that's not possible I'd think again about the importance of such services. If there's an alternative, I'd probably use them instead.
8106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stupid Bitcoin Traders on: April 25, 2019, 06:22:15 AM
What bugs me, is that he just got all FOMO'd up and bought in 2years after the fact, bitcoin rose some 50x. There wasn't any pressure on my end to buy. I think one of his work buddies was all telling him about litecoin, or at least thats part of the story.

Any newbie or someone who doesn't understand enough about the market will likely do the same thing because they already see that it has risen so much, so probably it will rise more and it will never stop. That's what basically fomo does to us. On the other hand, buying when the price is at the bottom or there's too much blood on the street makes them feel insecure and they won't risk their asset for that, in other words, they don't know the value of that assets.

Which is why we have 1% ultrarich people. They buy and understand what they're buying and at what price that assets should be in the future.
8107  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-24] Binance Promises Decentralized Future Powered by Crypto With Launch on: April 25, 2019, 05:39:59 AM
Last time I remember they require $100,000 deposit for any projects that want to get listed on their DEX. Seems like it's not fully decentralized. The only part that might be improved from their CEX is probably the ability to fully control your funds, but that's it. In the end, they can still make money though. In other words, it's like IDEX.
8108  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2019-04-23 DailyCaller - John McAfee's ... Plans to reveal Satoshi Nakamoto on: April 25, 2019, 05:20:58 AM
Can the media stop reporting any ridiculous thing such as this one? Come one, stop give them publication. They will do literally almost everything to get attention and then get money from that.

I'm gonna wait whether he'll start promising thing like eating his own dick and if that does happen I'll literally archive it and then remind him again later.
8109  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-20]Coinbase Launches Crypto-to-Crypto Trading Services in 11 Countries on: April 25, 2019, 04:35:51 AM
For the same reason, they see increased trading using crypto-to-crypto without having to exchange it to local currencies "speculations."
Many beginners prefer closer services to banks including confirmation of identity. The reason is speculative rather than decentralized.

Lots of traders or crypto users that I know prefer to have some fiat access directly so they can cash out anytime. If they only offer crypto to crypto trading, that means there is still going to be a monopoly because there's only 2-3 a local exchange that supports this afaik. Their service is not that great so that definitely offers something for new player.

I never understood very well why they restricted the crypto crypto trade in other countries.

Due to legal reasons and stuff like that.
8110  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips for a Secured Net Surfing and Hacking Prevention (Guide) on: April 24, 2019, 03:25:03 AM
Using Linux doesnot mean that you will never get attacked one day. No system is safe from hackers.
It's just probably because Windows is a high priority for the hackers since it has so many users in it compared to other operating systems.

Hacking Linux with virus or something similar might a bit harder as some of the programs might need some library that is not available on the victim computer. On top of that, the majority of users don't love Linux as it requires some 'more advanced tech' knowledge compared to Windows where you can use simple click to do this and that.

Brave is also a good alternative for web browser.
8111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to contact Airdrop Managers? on: April 24, 2019, 02:48:07 AM
Find them on Services section (look for bounty managers, most of them can manage airdrop too). Or see this topic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5032713.0.

Keep in mind that some of them are no longer active or has a lot of shady past, so if you want to run a campaign make sure to choose the best one within your budget.
8112  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-21] Review of Top Three Cryptocurrency Predictions In 2019 on: April 24, 2019, 02:41:16 AM
It is evident that the cryptocurrency market has recorded considerable growth so far just as some experts predicted.

This must be a joke Cheesy

Who predicts it will reach $100k at the end of last year or this year? Some experts really have no shame. After that, if one of their so-called predictions comes true media will praise them like a god who knows about the future.
8113  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Help ! Electrum wallet on: April 24, 2019, 02:09:54 AM
I wanted to send some bitcoin from my electrum wallet to another. The problem is that my wallet is in reading only and unfortunately I can't find my seed and I don't have my private keys. Is there any solutions for that ?

If you end up with watch only wallet it means you never actually have any control of the address that you listed over there. That's not a problem per se, your problem is how to relocate your seed or private key.

Isend send any bitcoins from my wallet. I guess I lost my bitcoins..

It is not possible to send any coins with that kind of wallet so I'm not sure how you did you spent your coins in the first place. If you have another wallet that you control and then send it to the watched address above then that might be the case. Make sure to double check whether the address is correct and for personal reason, do you have any control of that address or not. Sending coins to an address which you have no control over is essentially losing the ability to manage that coins.
8114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Newbie mistake - transaction stuck due to low fee on: April 24, 2019, 01:57:55 AM
I am using localbitcoins.com as my wallet, not sure if thats what you're asking - again I am a total newbie. :-)

I dont believe they support RBF, cant find it anywhere on the platform.

Your only option is CPFP. See https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Fee_bumping. Use Electrum if you want really simple step (see the "I received the stuck transaction" on Electrum part). Don't forget to use the address that you control.
8115  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Best IEO agencies/platforms in your opinion and why? on: April 24, 2019, 01:49:06 AM
By agencies, do you mean exchange platform?
There is a lot of exchange platform that you can use to do an ICO, like Binance, Huobi, Gate and so on. Most of them give 2x results or more (depends on the hype of the project).

But truth to be told, just because you do an IEO doesn't mean your project will succeed. Sure you got the funds but it doesn't guarantee you'll get solid holders, most of them will only dump (that's what IEO boys do most of the time).
8116  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-20] Notre Dame restoration could accept bitcoin donations on: April 24, 2019, 01:23:35 AM
I would really have that sympathy for those poor who do needs a roof too.Why these billionaires dont consider on giving up a share to poor ones? This shows how cruel the world is.
All things do have motive just like on donating millions of usd just to show off their power/fame/popularity.

I think they consider these conations as an investment. So they gain more fame as you said by doing this and that. There are no real benefits of helping poor people for them unless they want to submit their own press release saying 'Hey, I give 1 billion to the poor!'.

But we have a lot of good people out there. They might not be able to raise 1 billion but they dedicate their time and money to help those in need. That's definitely better than nothing.
8117  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-22]Usage of Blockchain Rises Among Italian Companies on: April 24, 2019, 01:02:22 AM
Title and content do not match imo. What the reports that were quoted in that article only talk about how the participants' perception of blockchain and other digital fintech techs.

There is no increase in blockchain usage. Only more people think it is important now.
8118  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-23] SoftBank Founder Masayoshi Son Lost $130 Million on Bitcoin on: April 24, 2019, 12:51:54 AM
Peter Briger was responsible for the recommendation. He is CEO of Fortress Investment Group. Which invests in companies such as Pantera Capital, Xapo among others. I believe that this news is not completely complete. I believe he has invested in companies and funds, not just Bitcoin. And eventually, it will recover the investment, even losing money buying at ATH and selling soon after.

I still have doubt over this news. Looks like he's not that professional when it comes to investing and only look for short-term gains. There's no loss as long as they don't sell it, or buying back when the price went deep. Didn't they do any study of Bitcoin to know the 'real value' of it and just went straight FOMOed?

Unbelievable.
8119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The middle ground for all skeptics and enthusiasts on: April 24, 2019, 12:36:09 AM
Bitcoin is indeed was created as a way of peer to peer transaction but I think it has been changed since many people use it for trading purpose and investment purpose. I still believe that the number of people who use bitcoin as currency is smaller than the number who use it as an investment tool/asset.

In his whitepaper satoshi originally wrote that Bitcoin is a peer to peer electronic currency systems, so I guess it should be compared to the same kind and not fiat in general. If we compare it to PayPal or something similar, though the volume of Bitcoin is not that big, but it already provides that alternative.

And yeah a lot of people use Bitcoin more as an investment instead of currency, so that's that. But if the volatility becomes more stable, I think they might start using some of their saving as currency.
