btw - what did you end up ordering?

The shipping company should be contacting you concerning that - both times I had to pay, I was contacted by DHL - both times were for about 300 worth of fees. The first one was on about 8k worth of miners and the second time was for one miner that was 1400.
the rest of the miners I bought were under 1k each and I paid no fees for those. yet...
still debating on whether to order another T17 for 1145, shipped will be about 1300 and with tariff it will be close to 1650. and for a unit that wont be here till December.

I need to look into getting a pi to manage my r606 but to be honest I am completely ignorant when it comes to them - having never laid hands on one or even seen one in person lol

As far as I understand this business is fake, right? I have a friend in hong kong, if it's real, my friend can meet her!
unknown - to me, it seems like a scam. Agree to one escrow deal and hope someone foregoes the escrow - hoping to save a few bucks - and then take off and never deliver. OP has been on the forums every day since he told me he was shipping the miner but has not answered one PM nor has he supplied a tracking #. |

Sorry it worked out like this.
I gave up escrow work due to constant fake escrow work.
Member a wants a deal with member b
15 pms later no deal.
Once in a while that is normal.
I would get the above ten times a week.
I would get two small problem escrows that went through each week that would involve
50 or more pms to respond to on a 100 dollar sale.
My fee was 2 dollars. For a 100 dollar sale.
I suspected the small problem escrows were part of a pattern.
So I raised minimum fee to 10 dollars.
That is when the endless requests to escrow that simply fell through started.
I realized it was an effort on scammers to get me to not escrow.
I still escrowed.
I stopped escrowing when I started being doxxed on eBay bad buyer lists.
My name address phone number published with false accusations against me was enough to realize doing escrows here are not worth doing.
I admire OgNasty for still doing escrows. As it is not easy work for low pay.
A lot of effort was done to get me to quit escrows. Translation people want to scam in this section. Be careful who you buy from.
I applaud you for doing it and I can imagine the frustration you must have had at times. And that is why - even though I am relatively new here - I am trying to offer escrow, because it is a needed service, a very much needed service. I really was just trying to help the guy get established by taking him up on his offer. Also, to see if he was truly legit - hence the escrow, that way if he was not, I was not really losing. Now, just waiting for Og to send me a refund basically. |

long shot, but anyone has a coupon that does not plan on using?
I wish I had one - Bitmain has not given me one for almost 6 months, even though I have ordered nearly 10 miners this year. that made me remember - want to see something funny? go to ebay and see how many bitmain coupons there are.... that expired in March.... They still list them, why? hoping people buy without realizing they are expired? |

With no tracking by dinner tomorrow I will ask for escrow to return the funds. So about 18 hours from now or less we will know how it ends - one way or the other.
Op was online today but sent no tracking
well it is past dinner and still no message - OP was online today and nothing. My guess is he was willing to fake thru an escrow deal that he never planned to deliver on while still trying to get someone to trust him and forego escrow. I hope no one did. Will be waiting for my refund from escrow. Thats my guess too. Fake an escrow deal with the first guy, so others think he's legit and skip escrow.... like he asked me to do sucks I am out 30 or so bucks but better than the near .06 btc i put in escrow 30 is nothing. Spent more than that on booze today. Made 300 on stock, lost 400 on options. Be happy to only lose 30 agreed. the time wasted is the biggest loss - glad you didnt do a deal w/o escrow with him. |

Exactly. I've said that many times before here: It is Country of Origin that matters and as a the single most important part of a miner is the completed hash boards that means they must be built outside of China. Not easy to do as there are really not that many PCB assembly houses that can handle such power and temp dense boards much less make bazillions of them per batch. Just IMET (AMT A1 miner days) about the learning curve on working with them...

Plus it doesn't matter where its shipped from, its where its made that matters. So unless they are actually making the circuit boards and assembling the miners in Malaysia then surely they'd have to declare it as made in China.
hmm yea I did not think of that - let me fetch the email I had gotten from them. here it is, for orders of 200 - 500 miners:  I am actually thinking of getting some of the T17s as they are just under 1200 - can get 3 of them for the price of a S17E. |

yes - it was Bitmain who told me they will ship from Malaysia to US for large orders. and it would be direct - no shipping to there and then from there to the US. I have 5 cent electric and still out of it. the tariffs are enough to keep me away.

not sure, all I know is the guy told me that they can ship from Malaysia to avoid the tariff but that it has to be a pretty large order. no onesie twosie orders.

with this gear I am looking at 4300 for 106 th. It arrives 60-70 days. I just paid 2600 for 50 th the t3 50 it was costly. And will take 80 days if it comes by the 15 of sept.
thats right you share cost right? I am not that lucky, though you share profits too. I had to pay $330 tariffs on a 1400 machine, I cannot imagine what it would be on a $3k machine. Also ordered 6 S17e's , 6 T17e's and 6 normal T17-38's. Will be waiting  to mine with or to resell? |

edit: yes a group buy to order from Malaysia would be great but yes a headache to set up and then to have someone escrow as well - Wish I had the cash to buy 100 units up front - would use 10 of em and sell the rest - would be happy to sell at cost and make break even point if i could.

what screws it all up is the tariff's though - Bitmain has told me that they can ship from Malaysia but the MOQ is way out of my price range.
I will be most likely hoping to get my hands on T15's from within the US where I dont need to run two damn lines to the PSU - another expense which forces me to either have half the miners or leaves me needing to install more outlets - with only 20 outlets currently I can handle 20 T15/S15 and only 10 T17/S17
If I can find the 15's at a decent enough price it will more than make up for the reduction in hash rate.
now someone please buy my 13 S9's for 3k a piece lol

I did not see a reply where the end user received the miner? Not enough time?
still in the air. last pm i got was 2 days ago that he was on the way to ship it. never got a tracking yet though. so at this point, glad I used escrow. so even with escrow he is yet to send. he said he was on the way to send it on Thursday: just got off. on the way to send
I am willing to give him 2 more days. mainly because I would know way in advance of it arriving if he actually sent it or at least I should. I have accounts with fedex, ups and dhl where I get notifications via text of any package en route to or delivered to my address. he was active today at noon. edit: and if he doesnt send, I will thankfully get my btc back - well most of it, will still be out two transaction fees and the escrow fee - but I gladly pay those vs losing 100% of what I paid which was .057343 btc of which I will get close to .054 back |
