If you don't use features, just hide them: Electrum > View > Hide Channels. As for the malware attack: I'd say you're keeping too much money in a hot wallet if you worry about that. Besides, removing features from Electrum won't change the risk caused by other software you have on your system already. If you really want to slim it down: it's open source ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Thank you for your service, CB. Now move the number up, enough of this 42 nonsense. Up is the other direction ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif)

I noticed "outputs" wasn't updating because the cronjob started when "transactions" was still running (and Blockchair.com only allows one connection at a time). It's updated now and daily updates should work again.
I used this data to check for myself if the Bitcoin blockchain has duplicate transaction hashes: for day in `ls /var/www/blockdata.loyce.club/public_html/outputs/*gz`; do echo $day; cat $day | gunzip | cut -f 1-2 | grep -v transaction_hash > outputs.tmp; for block in `cat outputs.tmp | cut -f1 | sort -nu`; do grep -P "^$block\t" outputs.tmp | cut -f2 | awk '!a[$0]++' >> all_transaction_hashes_outputs.txt; done; rm outputs.tmp; done # The awk-part removes duplicates within each block cat all_transaction_hashes_outputs.txt | sort -S69% | uniq -d d5d27987d2a3dfc724e359870c6644b40e497bdc0589a033220fe15429d88599 e3bf3d07d4b0375638d5f1db5255fe07ba2c4cb067cd81b84ee974b6585fb468 This confirmed 2 transactions have the same hash. I tried to do the same for "inputs", but unfortunately I don't have the disk space to sort this large amount of data.

Bitcoin already has +700 millions transactions[1] since then yet there's no single case of the same txid happened (someone correct me if im wrong). Let's put this to the test: I took Bitcoin block data (665 GB): inputs, outputs and transactions, and extracted all txids from all "outputs" blocks. This gave 724,446,069 transactions (data up to April 9, 2022). As expected, there were only 2 duplicates: d5d27987d2a3dfc724e359870c6644b40e497bdc0589a033220fe15429d88599 e3bf3d07d4b0375638d5f1db5255fe07ba2c4cb067cd81b84ee974b6585fb468 I wanted to post this yesterday, but processing the data took longer.

What I meant to say is that what motivated me to look at his trust lists and feedbacks is to see that he had included me. No worries, I got that. I wanted to highlight it though, since that's kinda the point of this topic. I'll add that I took that part slightly out of context.

people always say there is no known collision with sha256 but i guess they are keeping this matter secret so as not to alarm anyone. not one but 2 collisions. sha256 is broken for sure if it's already happened twice. I took a sha256sum of the above text: 34da38ff7f462890cc5b6b950db52dc97c8d80f7364075fdec91077f34c3ea50 Wait, let me do it again: 34da38ff7f462890cc5b6b950db52dc97c8d80f7364075fdec91077f34c3ea50 It's the same ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) That doesn't mean sha256sum is broken, it means it does exactly what it's supposed to do. If you can get the same hash from a different input, then you can call it broken.

I have seen that you and two other forum members have left a neutral tag for merit abuse to naim027. I left that neutral tag because I didn't agree with lovesmayfamilis' negative tag, and because I hoped this would stop others from adding more negative tags for something this small. After this, lovesmayfamilis changed their tag to neutral (and removed me from their Trust list). I would say it is a neutral tag of negative spirit. I think so too. But I also think it's better than a negative tag with the same spirit. I included naim027 in my trust list because I saw that he had included me in his This isn't a good reason to include anyone. I took this part out of context to make a point for anyone who reads this.I checked both his trust list and his distrust list I saw that they were very similar to mine. Besides I read the feedbacks that he had left, which if I remember correctly were 4 and I saw them correct. So the decision was easy to include him in my trust list. This makes more sense. What do you think about this? I wouldn't worry about it. Part of me says yes, because if you don't trust someone you don't trust them in general, and another part of me says they are two separate things. I think it really depends on the case. Some people with negative feedback still have good Sent feedback. And some go full retaliation by tagging anyone who left them a (valid) negative tag. For now, I wouldn't worry about hypothetical problems ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Russian gas reserves are 43 times larger than Ukrainian reserves. The amount EU imports from Russia would empty the Ukrainian gas reserves in just a few years.

11111111= 72057594037927936 (96 days) *** 111111113= 173346595075428800 240 days *** This can't be right, right? The second one has only 2.4 times higher difficulty than the first. According to vanitygen, it should be 5.7 times more difficult. According to vanitygen, 1113 is 69 times more difficult than 111, but 111113 is only 3.5 times more difficult than 11111. I don't get it.

For some reason, this person decided to make his first forum post in WO. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.postimg.cc%2FMGNs8dfC%2Fimage.png&t=663&c=KT8O4dj_g-vkVA) I whitelisted him. He could be a long-term reader who finally decided to join Starting in WO is much better than some dumb bounty thread!

do you think other nodes are connecting to me? Yes. You're sending more than you download.

can you help me how to recover a bitcoincore wallet with seed pharse ? No. Bitcoin Core has never used a seed phrase. I think it's the 2015 version support create a seed phrase for new wallet You probably had a different wallet, for instance Electrum. Depending of the seed phrase you have there might be different options to restore your wallet.

About feeling: Does it depends on your mode? Probably ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) In my country, every time I switch my mobile data off/on. It changes my IP like VPN. I don't know about other countries. This could give me an IP that was used before here. I believe that's not my fault. Units of evil also affect neighbouring IPs, so if a lot of abuse comes from a certain ISP, that makes it more likely it has units of evil already. How do you know that they are really good users since most are brand new and newbies? Are they alt-accounts of reputed members, or do you know them anyhow? I'll highlight the Discovery of the Year: I'm just a first timer, I've never used the forum You're a bounty spammer, so I'm pretty sure the proxyban was related to that.

Could you please explain what the criteria to convince you are? I understand that you don't want everyone to give a free pass. You said it already: I can't give exact criteria because that would make abuse trivially easy. So what's left is a more or less arbitrary decision based on my gut feeling. And while I've whitelisted just over 150 users, I've rejected 3 times more than that. Administrator theymos said about evil fees: the vast majority of accounts that hit it should not be whitelisted. How can I prove that I am innocent and have never done bad things there? You can't. And I have no doubt that some of the 450 rejected users shouldn't have been hit by evil fees in the first place. But I can't whitelist everyone, that will lead to many of them getting banned, which will lead to my whitelisting privileges being revoked, which will mean I can't help anyone anymore. At least I've helped some really good users join the forum, which is why I volunteered for this. Please explain the criteria and how to convince you. You don't have to convince me anymore, there's no need for whitelisting once you've paid the evil fees.

Before implementing BIP30, transactions could have the same ID. The coinbase transactions on blocks number 91,722 and 91,880 have the same transaction ID. The coinbase transactions on blocks number 91,812 and 91,842 have the same transaction ID. I didn't know this. Does this mean the 50 Bitcoin created by the second transaction basically don't exist?

What will be reason ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Before wondering about the reason, you should check the data. And it's simply not true: Bitcoin transaction fees are indeed low, but this didn't happen only recently. It's also not a "record low". And as far as centralized ethereum is concerned: I couldn't care less ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif)

A really great option would be a feature to add words "similar to" a given word. So if I entered the word "air", then it would add air, aim, arm, art, chair, hair, pair, liar, affair, repair, unfair, etc., but this would be a huge amount of work I guess to go through the word list 2048 times and pick out similar looking words. If you take all words that contain at least 2 out of 3 characters (from the word "air"), you get a list of 633 words: ability absorb abstract absurd accident achieve acid acoustic acquire across action actor actress addict address admit advice aerobic affair afford afraid again agree aim air airport aisle alarm alert alien already alter amateur amazing anchor ancient anger angry animal another answer antique anxiety apart appear approve april arch arctic area arena argue arm armed armor army around arrange arrest arrive arrow art artefact artist artwork assist attitude attract Even though not many words are really similar from a human perspective, it's easy to make this list.

i Don't know Bitcointalk rules ~ I am really just work here bounty in 2018 to now, i Don't know nothing about Bitcointalk, Rules, Merits everything. Thank you for this valuable insight into the mind of a bounty spammer. It's amazing you've made more than 1000 posts without having any idea what Bitcointalk is really about. The forum rules aren't even the most important part, you seem to lack understanding of the generic netiquette.
