anyone figure out how to get SSH enabled on these new miners?
no luck on mine yet - makes the money i spent on AM wasted - I also have the web services - but cannot do anything but look at them.

We'll scammers are coming back out the woodwork as they see price rising all they need is once sucker for the scam to pay off.
right!?!?! lol oh well, this is all stuff we here know. I just felt I needed to vent about it especially after 4 hours of shopping and buying all for it to end up a farce

Yes, i have same for AWS too
then post the AWS one.... this listing is for AWS not google....
|
|

again i get it and I am not planning on ever purchasing from them - just curious as to why it is so rampant? are there that many people that actually fall for this that it is actually beneficial for people to take the time to do this?

I think of it like the gambler that keeps choosing a different number and color on the roulette wheel and thinking that they're better off than choosing the same number and color each time. All they're doing is introducing more variance! Lol P.S. - I don't gamble, so if that was a bad analogy, well... Deal with it! for roulette, I bet $10 on 2 columns of numbers - about 60% chance of hitting, now when i do, I only make my money back plus $10 but by doing this repeatedly, I still tend to walk out heading home ahead rather than behind. It's when I try to change it up that I lose it all lol

I mean it could be legitimate sellers that just want payment in crypto - but if that is the case, eBay is not the place to do it. Now--- if eBay could start accepting crypto, that would be awesome!

woohoo a block! first one of May! I hope we get a few more before I shut the miners down, will be either no later than Friday.

This is a scam listing. I saw many listings like the one you linked for the Obelisk SC1s a few months ago stating only cryptocurrency is accepted in the description and it seems there's still people trying to scam others through this sort of listing. As for the sellers making listings like this having thousands of ratings, it's likely an account that has been sold off to a scammer. Pretty sad that eBay accounts are being sold now, but as long as you use your common sense and don't buy through listings like this you'll be fine.
ahh, i didnt think about sold accounts. but yes - that would be entirely possible. by no means am I saying it is a legitimate listing - just amazed that listings that blatantly go against eBay's terms are all over on eBay.

LPM is usually all I look at anymore personally. 21th at 1.4kw isnt the greatest upgrade but still reasonable. Was just mentioning the unit because of pricing.
totally understand that! and it is appreciated.

Watch and wait is a good idea. Only 26T from inno is under de minimis atm.
only thing I dont like about the Innosilicon miners is their efficiency about 3 TH more than the T15 but its power consumption is 1.5 times that of the T15. My S9's are running at about 13.5 TH and only using about 1150 watts so 2 of them would be about the same as the Innosilicon 26 TH miners - making it a moot point of me selling S9's to replace with them.

s15 and t15 are done, you'll have to get from a reseller.
that is my guess as well, and that is why I have been looking around at resellers - just dont trust nary a one ya know? But never know - Bitmain did resurrect the S9's for a bit last month and were selling them at same time as the T15/S15's and T11 I think was up at the same time as well. so far the only reseller I see selling the T15 for a non-ridiculous amount is Hashdeploy.net and I have not found any thing to verify their legitimacy
|
|
|
Understandable this reseller is a huge red flag though. Stay away.
Let me know what you're after if you want to use our service at all.
We can act a escrow if you find a 3rd party seller, push everything through our website even.
Thanks. Really wanting to see Bitmain release more T15's but somehow I doubt they will - those are a quick ROI for me and are below the limit for tariff tax.

Was thinking it might be more than some scam reseller was all.
well, after my fiasco with one buyer that cost me over 10k - I will never buy from someone I have not had prior transactions with without using a form of payment that is secure enough to get a refund if they decide to rip me off. Whether it is using a credit card, PayPal or an escrow service. I am not wanting to ever take that risk again.

Damn that sucks. I'm down to 2 M10's right now because I forgot I needed a power cable before the garage season arrived. Oh well a few more days and it'll be back online.
What are you thinking of grabbing for gear?
I would like to get some S17's or T17's but would settle for T15's or S15's as their price is a bit cheaper so should make roi faster even if overall less hash rate and less btc. but still a huge upgrade over the S9's I still have 15 S9's that I will eventually phase out as well. Just gotta go with what the profits allow which a lot less now than a year ago. Just glad I racked up some profits then.

A quick back of the napkin calculation of 1EH total pool hashrate gives me a full 5ND ramp of just 37.9 hours at current diff. I was just checking the same. Not to mention the other added benefits: - Pool fees would drop to .5% once we get consistently over 400PH (I would think this is huge to a large miner) - Still eligible to earn the BTC available from the giveaway in the pool OP - They still earn from all the blocks found during their ramp up and subsequent ramp down if they left in the future. wait, the pool fee drops? by almost 45% - nice!!! I was not aware of this.

They are heavily breaking the rules of ebay. They are just using ebay as an advertising platform. Never trust anyone that is only willing to accept a payment method that can't be refunded.
The seller is actually really stupid, he has other expensive items on his store that say absolutely nothing about crypto. Makes no sense and he is likely a scammer.
my opinion as well. must have did legitimate sales to get up to that 16k rating but is now running ads for some items as crypto only
|
|
|
sadly, 4 of my miners will be offline this week and I will be left with one T15 here until I can source some new miners, which hopefully will not be that long.
|
|
|
if they have 1 EH and brought it here, my guess is ramp up would not be very long and hmm I bet we would find blocks a lot more often with that much hash.

I've used kano's pool many years ago, the issue is variance consistency (this being how much is expected to be paid at the end of the week), no blocks = no BTC. While yes in the long run it all equals out, but in the month to month when bills need to be paid and hashrate is up and down you want stability a I will get this much on this day. I wasn't saying only a week for testing but that a test might be done. The pool charges about 2% so 1.1% more than here. Can you calculate how much would be earned in the past month per PH, if 100% and 80% up time was assumed?
i believe their point is that when it is making money, you are supposed to hold a portion of that money in reserves so that it covers the time when it is not making money at all or at a lower profit.
