8181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be too big to fail? on: October 27, 2017, 12:21:15 AM
After spending much time as a guest on this forum learning all I can about Bitcoin, I finally decided to join. Glad to be here and thanks for all the great advice along the way!

Now I have a question I'd like to ask. Is Bitcoin going to get to the point where it is too big to fail? The government bailed out Wall Street to avoid a financial collapse. Can Bitcoin gain the same status as Wall Street? The market cap is steadily increasing making it a big player in the game and I'm looking forward to where it is headed.

Thanks in advance!

It is going be much much bigger in the years to come and it will not easily fail. It is getting stronger by the minute. But I assure you it is not going to become like the status of Wall Street because it is is against it. Bitcoin is a revolution against Wall Street! It is against the banks playing a very major role not just in the business of people but in their daily lives as well. Bitcoin is a revolution against centralized financial authorities.
8182  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: job and trading together.. on: October 26, 2017, 04:16:58 AM
I think you should not be trading in its strict sense. Because you are currently holding another job, it would be easier for you to only invest and hold some credible coins. Do the buying during bloody altcoin days because during these times, the prices are really cheap. And then you can just hodl them. Buy only those that are on top and are very active in their project. Monitor them through their Bitcointalk threads or in their websites.
8183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price at 2022 on: October 26, 2017, 03:06:35 AM
can ETH make effect in world at 2022 ?

what your think about price ?

can we buy world cup ticket throw ETH ?

Or

Bitcoin will Kill ETH

I seriously doubt that Bitcoin will kill Ethereum. But both Bitcoin and Ethereum will eventually kill so many shitcoins in the years to come, after rendering them useless. Ethereum is one coin that has been accused of overhyping and overpricing but because of this, it becomes famous and its growth eventually became a real one. This coin will not easily die because in terms of ranking it comes next to bitcoin.
8184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: AltCoin pump over already ?? to late to buy ?? on: October 25, 2017, 12:46:17 AM
Just wondering if the pump is over? I bought back my original portfolio a couple of days ago at a lower price, I was looking forward to a good Alt Coin pump but it seems to have slowed right down. Any chance the Alt's might rise again in the next day or 2 ? Huh Huh Huh Huh

The pump is not yet over. It is just hours after Bitcoin Gold is being distributed. Wait for the dumping of free Bitcoin Gold. For sure, they will shift to altcoins. The pump began right after Bitcoin Gold is released. Even some others who shifted to Bitcoin will get back to their altcoins because mostly the intention was just to get a share of the free Bitcoin Gold. The pumping will continue for a few more days.
8185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Wish I never bought altcoins on: October 24, 2017, 11:50:56 PM
Would have been much better off just leaving everything in bitcoin. Altcoins suck.

You might have experienced the worst scenario with altcoins. But I think it is not totally a sucking experience every time you do transactions with altcoins. Perhaps you were simply a victim of bad luck swinging its axe. Try to grab the cheapest but top coin that we have right now. Constantly monitor its situation and development while holding it. You will end up earning for sure. Just chill because everything's not good all the time. There are also bad situations, mate.
8186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Ico's work ? on: October 24, 2017, 12:30:48 AM
Hi Guys.
In the last few days I'm studying 10 hour a day this new world of cryptocurrency.
I came into the ICO thing.
Now i'm just wonderting one thing...
I've seen that since the ICO, some crypto have gaines ridicolous % like 40.000% (Stratis), 20.000% (Ark), 7.000% (QTUM), 6.000% (Lisk) and so on.

I think I can't understand how this work probably.

Does it mean that if I invested 10.000 euros in Stratis ICO, now I will have 4 Millions Euros ?
I don't think it's possible, I can't believe something so easy to get rich exist in this world.

I've been though that you have to work hard, create companies, give value to people and so on in order to get rich. Are all those bullshit ?
I'm kind of shocked. Do you know anybody who become really rich with this cryptocurrency things or those are just legends ?

I've also read somewhere that most of Crypto who get those bumps, is just because you can't convert them in real money and just use them in some close marketplace and so on.

Somebody is so kind to explain to a newbie how does this work ?
I've also seen the bitconnect scam thing... seen videos on youtube about guys making tons of money with that, how this is possible ?

How did you do the computation? If you invested 10,000 Euros in Stratis ICO and it now gained 40% value increase from ICO price, then that would only be 14,000 Euros and not 4 million Euros. Anyway, what you think is impossible is possible here in the crypto world. Growth is not just on the 40% level, there are many others that went as high as 100% or 200% in price growth in a very small fraction of time.
8187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Correct steps to secure BTC and also get BTG? on: October 23, 2017, 11:25:42 PM
Hello,

are this the correct steps, to keep my BTC the whole time during and after the fork secure and also get the free BTG?

1. Keep BTC in a wallet where I have the private key.
2. Waint until fork + airdrop of BTG is done.
3. Move BTC to a new wallet, where I control the private key.
4. Move BTG to an exchange and sell it.

If one makes this step by step, will one then be secure against replay atacks and so on?
Is step 3 necessary and recommended?
Or do you prefer an other way to be secure and also get BTG and be able to sell it?

Just make sure that the wallet in which you are saving your Bitcoin will give away free bitcoin gold to their bitcoin holders. Otherwise, you will end up with zero bitcoin gold. I think the better way is to store them to a wallet, or even exchanges such as bittrex, that already made their official commitment to provide bitcoin gold to those people who are holding bitcoin in their wallets. After all, this happens for a few days.
8188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin end? on: October 22, 2017, 11:14:38 PM
Bitcoin right now keeps on increasing its value, and many more cryptocurrencies are occurring.
Do you think someday bitcoin will end or will be replace by other cryptocurrencies?

Is it too late to invest?
Is there a chance that bitcoin will be down?

Of course it will. Everything has an end. The sun and moon and sky will even come to an end. That is why we just have to prolong the survival of bitcoin as long as possible. We will always support it. Bitcoin investment is always good anytime because it has not yet reached its overall potential. We have not yet even seen bitcoin rising with a 5-figure in US dollars. It will come very soon.
8189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitjob on: October 22, 2017, 08:57:05 AM
I think the project needs proving and a lot of work to build their product. It is correct when they said that 99% of the projects here are shit or will fail. We'll that's why bitjob needs to prove that they're not, they should building the product rather than marketing.

I actually personally like the project of Bitjob. I think they are the sole project in this particular niche. Their project will heavily benefit the students, especially those that are having difficulties in supporting their education financially. I guess the ICO of Bitjob is already finished. Time for them to prove their worth in the crypto market not just in terms of token value but more so in terms of project actualization.
8190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why I hate BITCOIN on: October 22, 2017, 12:27:34 AM
I was asked by a friend why I don't promote Bitcoin { why i hated it} but love promoting altcoins. My reply was that Bitcoin can't give me 1000-5000% ROI in 2-3years time anymore but with altcoin that is possible.

I notice that each time I promote Bitcoin, I'm giving the early investors easy passive income why I settle for chicken gain.

Honestly I will prefer $50,000 in altcoins (with possible potential, underpriced and undervalued) than in Bitcoin.

Do you hate Bitcoin? Give reasons why you do or don't

You might be saying some truth in it. However, this kind of mentality has also some advantages as well as disadvantages. Altcoin investment is rather riskier than bitcoin investment. Altcoins may die early, bitcoin will not. Altcoins may fall very hard down rock bottom but for bitcoin, it will never happen. Altcoins are also very hard to tell whether when to fly, bitcoin has been consistent on the other hand.
8191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you picky with ICOs? on: October 21, 2017, 11:16:29 AM
Are you picky with ICOs?

We should all be picky with ICOs. Everyone should learn to be picky with ICOs because there are so many scams joining ICOs. Picky means studying whitepapers, checking websites, communicating the team, and analyzing their responses. This is for everyone's benefit after all. It is always better to be safe than feel sorry in the end.
8192  Economy / Speculation / Re: This guy predicts bitcoin to be $20,000 in 2 years. What do you think? on: October 20, 2017, 01:55:41 AM

From here: https://twitter.com/ICOAlerts/status/912334877801971712

I think $20,000 is impossible, or at least in 2 years. Maybe in 5 years yes.

It may be hard to imagine right now, but it is very possible. When Bitcoin was around $5, who would have imagined and risked predicting that bitcoin's price will become $100?  And when it reached $100, it was almost impossible to imagine that it will reach $1000. And now we are already $5,000 right now. If we reach $10,000 this year, we can be standing at the top with $20,000 in a couple of years.
8193  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin won't live to see the next 10 years on: October 19, 2017, 11:50:04 PM
I think Bitcoin will continue to exist in the next 10 years. It will not even slow down its pace during that time. That will probably be a time of a very widespread and well-accepted Bitcoin. 10 years from now, more and more countries are already accepting bitcoin and other cryptos. The value of each BTC might already be in the $50,000 or more within 10 years.
8194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY][ICO LIVE] |EIDOO Wallet - Hybrid Exchange | 2M EDO REWARD| OVER 4M$| on: October 19, 2017, 02:36:05 PM
Hey there, CM! I have a little question. If I am not mistaken, you will only count 10 valid posts per week right? That means even if we will submit 13-14 posts, only 10 will be counted. But since your campaign starts Oct 7 and ends on Nov 6, there will only be barely 4 weeks all in all. How could we complete the required 50 posts in total? Or are you gonna be accepting posts until November 10?

Just a little bit confused on this. Thank you!
8195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the best altcoin to hold for long term and why? on: October 19, 2017, 01:52:43 PM
You will be getting various answers here. Because with so many coins in the market right now, you will definitely be reading different responses. But what I will suggest to you are some of the most common yet top coins. These would of course include ETH, Strat, XEM, DENT, ADX, BAT, SC, XRP, ETC, BAT, AVT, LISK, WAVES, and several others more. These may sound too common but it only means that these are the most trusted ones.
8196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: when is the right time to invest on bitcoin on: October 19, 2017, 09:47:21 AM
I can still consider these days as buying time for altcoins because although the price of bitcoin is receding a little there are still several days left before bitcoin gold will come out. Because of this, people are still shifting to bitcoin and that is a reason for altcoins to be at this cheap level. Once bitcoin gold will come out and has been distributed, the rest will be returning to altcoins. There will be pumps for sure.
8197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 kinds of ICOs — Protect yourself on: October 19, 2017, 07:13:29 AM
These are basically what ICOs can be categorized. I would like to believe that more than 50 percent of ICOs right now are still legitimate. The rotten tomatoes are very few and these handful of rotten ICOs cannot simply pull down the reputation of ICOs. The majority of token or coins offered in ICOs can still give us a significant amount of profit in the end.
8198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest In Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2017, 09:23:15 AM
Invest in bitcoin while you can still afford even one bitcoin. Time will come, your entire savings cannot afford even a single bitcoin. That moment will surely come. That is why I am trying to acquire as much bitcoins as I can today. So sad however that I can only buy so much. I wish I have many money so I can buy even more.
8199  Economy / Economics / Re: Most people dont even know what this is yet. on: October 18, 2017, 08:05:59 AM
I called around some stores to see if they accept BTC, no one has even heard of it except like 0.1% of people.  Wait till people actually find out this exists...

Which country are you living? Bitcoin is yet to really make a big name to the majority of the people. Those who have known bitcoin already know that it is a great invention. However, these people are only comprising of a very small minority as compared to the world's population. Soon, this will reach to the farthest corners of the world.

Successfully changed signature, CM. Thank you for the update. You are one very focused campaign manager here. Glad to have joined this project. ICO is also doing very well. This is going to be a successful project. Perfect team plus perfect project will go no other way but forward.
