821  Economy / Speculation / Re: They told me bubble on: August 15, 2014, 08:18:11 AM
Bubble is bursting this week for all alt coins.

Yep those alt coins bursted but now some of them are recovering and making comebacks again

Extremely volatile everywhere though, haven't seen this much movement for a couple of months... interesting.

Yep sometimes the market moves all at once
Scares you though especially if your holding and don't know what to do
Buy sell to buy in lower, diversify etc.
822  Economy / Services / Re: EARN BITCOIN WITH YOUR SIGNATURE ,UP TO 0.1BTC A MONTH, ONLY 30 SLOTS LEFT on: August 15, 2014, 08:11:56 AM
Hmm it links to Friedcats thread
Can Friedcat be the escrow or confirm the campaign its kind of neat ^_^

Also are you the PR manager the Asicminer thread has been looking for aka the marketing guy
823  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 15, 2014, 08:10:45 AM

Hmm Asicminer promotional sig campaign
It has me curious now but thanks for mentioning it guess its about the same as the other 2 which have trusted escrow.
H@C and Monbux from the PNYC list

If FC confirms it then that makes 3/3 with great escrows.
825  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Which Bitcoin Exchange do you use and why ? on: August 15, 2014, 08:04:12 AM
Mintpal still
It got hacked once on vericoin but seems to have recovered
Got a buyout from someone else
And cleaned some coins so its interesting to say the least.

Does MintPal offer BTC/USD option ?

No no it does not
It does have a lot of altcoins though that can be then moved to a proper exchange
Tssk read bitcoin exchange wrong

In that case vaultofsatohi, not mintpal XD, cavirtex, or canadianbitcoins work
Quickbt for mobile phones and quick loading but its expensive because its interac debit.
Then Bitcoin ATMs lol.

831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [LTBc] The most profitable alt coin to mine is... on: August 14, 2014, 07:30:10 AM
People, do you think that LTBcoin will reach $1 after 5 years from now ?

There will be 510M LTBcoins, so given $1 price it would mean all of them would cost about $0.5B. So LTB network value would be comparable to half billion. Half billion is not a size of a public company yet, but it's a size of a company that can go public in maybe a few years...

So can LTB network grow to a size to become a public company in 5-10 years?

I can't say its a ridiculous statement, given Bitcoin growth and the fact that LTB is #1 podcast and more then that now. LTB has a chance. But can we be sure about that? Definitely not.

Hmm a podcast worth half a billion dollars ?
Seems very high but then again there is always a chance for something to happen if their is a community there to support it and use it
Perhaps it will be a neat case study 5 years from now.
832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats up with LTC? on: August 14, 2014, 07:27:12 AM
As I see it, ltc has to find a reason to stay around. If it doesn't, it will die. If it does, maybe it hits the moon.

The reason is the economy built on top of the crypto. Most crypto 1.0 are not suited for that, they are only money transfer tools, nothing else. Bitcoin has a first mover advantage, that's why it has somewhat more of this economy already built than others.

Only crypto 2.0 technologies truely allow to build natural economy, because they are/were designed from ground up for that. Economy = use cases for a crypto. One use case (money transfer and saving mechanism) is kind of covered by Bitcoin already, there is no use case for Litecoin.

That said it takes time for 2.0 to release so their is hope for these 1.0 coins to evolve and keep pace with newer emerging coins
Nothing remains static but it is still going to be a challenge for Litecoin.

I like all the good bitcoin news
Now if the price went up in a bubbly format I would be truly satisfied although I just went from hmm whats this to hmm need more research to WOW I want to try this in a matter of weeks lol.

Rascoff's transformation to the darkside is complete. Yesterday, he took to Twitter to express his complete conversion from bitcoin skeptic to bitcoin believer.

But more importantly, now I believe in bticoin's potential, with the zealotry of a convert.

Not the darkside but the right side  Grin

835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you store >100 Bitcoins? on: August 10, 2014, 07:45:25 AM
From what I can see the best way to store digital data is to keep them in not digital state. You can't hack paper wallets but it becomes the same thing as keeping around 1 million bucks, but I am sure people know good hiding spots.

Well the problem is digital stuff breaking then screwed
Or a fire for a paper wallet my painting!!!

So it's tricky to make sure you do not absolutely bone yourself while keeping stuff completely safe
Maybe bury one copy in the yard or something with a paper wallet copy beside it  Grin

Just make sure the spot is easy to find or a lot of holes will be dug in the future he-he but it would be neat if someone put 100 BTC in a timecapsule or something and 100 years from now someone opened it and found it there.
836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Girl Music Video (Official) on: August 10, 2014, 07:40:11 AM

next should be barbie girl but replaced to... im a bitcoin girl in a bitcoin world, life in plastic..... is slow, costly and funds wars.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZyhrYis509A

It needs to be catchy ^_^
But I like that idea myself nothing like more catchy songs
I'm a Bitcoin girl in a bitcoin world life ain't plastic it's fantastic
Blockchain everywhere can even brush my hair (Shows Bitcoin Salon or something)
Imagination bitcoins our creation
etc.
837  Economy / Securities / Re: MPEx securities discussion thread on: August 10, 2014, 07:37:04 AM

PFFT
That is something else but 0.1 BTC for a pair of them should just find girlsforbitcoins Cheesy
F** mean thanks for sharing lol.

Sharing tits from all over the world.
Great company though Grin

The point is not to see some tits, the point is to attract girls into #bitcoin-assets, and force them to start using bitcoin and gpg and IRC and such.

It can be both after all
Mircea makes a good politician ^_^

___
But you know if they can do all that they can make more than just showing their tits lol.
838  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 10, 2014, 07:33:51 AM

Well you can try your luck using google translate (https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=zh-CN&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.iasicminer.com%2Findex.php%2Faction-viewnews-itemid-22) but it still is difficult to get the gist of it.
I think it mostly is just some summary of all the things we already got to know about the salon. Nothing new as far as I can tell.

Tough what I got

839  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal to sell bitcoin in person for cash? on: August 10, 2014, 07:24:30 AM
I was wondering if its legal to sell bitcoins for cash in person using localbitcoins?  I think it would be if I declared all income on my taxes. I wouldn't be a money transmitter as I would be receiving or giving the cash directly/in person. What are your thoughts on this?
What laws do you think you might be breaking by doing this? I certainly can't think of any that you might be breaking.

If its a very large amount money laundering, transacting without a license, not declaring personal income and taxable income and similar sorts of things.
Probally the stuff they charge drug dealers with lol.
