8221  Other / Meta / Re: this part of Economics section of the forum turned in one big Circus on: September 23, 2014, 05:33:40 PM
I agree it's a mess and full of trolls but what would you like the staff to do? I see and move a lot of silly speculation threads from the main forum and whilst I like that we have quite a liberal anything - or almost anything - goes attitude part of me just wishes we trashcanned certain pointless / duplicate threads that gets posted, but it's a slippery slope if we do start moderating threads like that as it's always hard to distinguish between who's the genuine troll/fudster or just a clueless and eager newb as well. Whatever happens though you're never going to keep everyone happy.

the two factor loggin is very nice Stunna! GJ!

Thank you!

Hope to see all users who store coins on the website enable this feature ASAP!

Sadly most probably wont. Lost count of how many threads I've seen from people having their exchange or blockchain.info account cleaned out and it always goes the same:

Q: Did you have 2-factor set up?
A: No

2-factor is badly needed for this site as well, but as above, most wont use it, though I guess it's their own fault then when their account or coins go MIA.

Monthly is fine, but weekly is 4x the work and I don't think Stunna would want to make things more difficult and stressful for himself.

And if he gives the work to another user , and this user will manage  the new sig. campaign ? I think that it's easy and not stressfull for stunna .

Its not easy to give somebody to run ur campaign. U need to have 100% trust in that person .
Im not sure who he has in mind when he says third party , i guess we will see soon . If he even decides to do fixed rate campaign .

Not necessarily. When I offered to run it on his behalf I stated if he didn't want to trust me with a large amount of money (which would be understandable) I'd make the payments out of my own coins and he could then reimburse me once they'd gone out.
8224  Other / Meta / Re: There should be a public list of sold/bought accounts on: September 23, 2014, 04:55:11 PM
We can make an unofficial list in Off-Topic board. Some people publicly admitted they bought/sold their account.

And they'll stop saying so inmediately if they are threatened with bans.

The vast majority of users don't mention that they bought the account, pretty stupid to publicly state so though.

8226  Other / Meta / Re: My friend got banned. Why? on: September 23, 2014, 03:53:17 PM
Can't really blame these people, can you? From what i've gathered from browsing this forum and forums about "how to make BTC" sort of thing, signature campaing ads are what paids better.

There probably wouldn't be anything wrong with farming lots of accounts just as long as you posted decently and contributed to discussions with them, but these people don't; they post crap as quick as they can and exclusively in off-topic.
8227  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling Starbucks egift cards on: September 23, 2014, 03:49:33 PM
Yeah, you'll probably have to sell them a bit cheaper since there are others with rep doing so already.

Where is my car dude  Huh

8228  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTB up to $600 in Amazon vouchers for US site or £400 in UK eBay. on: September 23, 2014, 02:51:59 PM
One last push for this or I might just have to take the plunge and get a second hand one from Cex (which I don't really want to do especially when they cost more than what a brand new one does).

I'll take $600 in US Amazon vouchers or about £400 in UK eBay ones as that's about how much they're going for on there. Can pay with BTC or Paypal or a mix of both. PM me with offers. Thanks.

Model I'm after if anyone can help me procure one: http://www.amazon.com/HTC-FACTORY-UNLOCKED-international-version/dp/B00MX6BM0Q/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1411380685&sr=8-2&keywords=htc+one+m8+red

Still looking for this. I either would like someone to purchase me the above model (changed slightly from the original I posted) or provide me with the Amazon gift voucher (or any other place I may be able to buy this phone) but am looking for a decent discount if paying in btc (I can also pay with Paypal or a mix of both). It needs to be the unlocked GSM version. I can either have it shipped directly to me in the UK or a friends address in Michigan who will then post it on to me. PM me with any offers. Thanks.
8230  Economy / Digital goods / Re: $500 Amazon Gift Card on: September 23, 2014, 02:35:26 PM
How much you wanting? I'm wanting to by the following so need $600 but am looking for a good deal: http://www.amazon.com/HTC-FACTORY-UNLOCKED-international-version/dp/B00MX6BM0Q/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1411380685&sr=8-2&keywords=htc+one+m8+red

Edit: See you stated a price. Let me know if you can go a bit lower.
8231  Other / Meta / Re: There should be a public list of sold/bought accounts on: September 23, 2014, 02:01:34 PM
People selling accounts is impossible to prevent, which is probably why there is no rule against it.

Well, in theory it should be possible to ban it. If you ban it, no one can make an offer publicly.
If someone makes an offer via PM, those PMs can be reported to moderator and it can lead to a ban on who's making the offer.

If account selling was banned people would just take the process off site, and unsolicited PM spam to buy or sell accounts will lead to your account getting banned anyway if the messages are reported, but those interested in buying accounts obviously wont report them.

8233  Other / Meta / Re: There should be a public list of sold/bought accounts on: September 23, 2014, 01:15:38 PM
I don't know if there is any known way to ensure this, because most deals take place via PMs. But I strongly feel the need for this and would like to know what everyone else thinks.

Pointless and futile for this exact reason. Also hard to prove undoubtedly that accounts have been bought/sold and could lead to further problems. Also, you can't guarantee people would actually read it.
8234  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to search for all posts made by a certain poster? on: September 23, 2014, 01:13:05 PM
Meant all the posts I created

I believe you are asking for the "Topics you started", simply no i couldn't find any way to list the thread i started.

Ah, yeah, I hope that feature is coming with the new forum software. Would be very handy/useful for many reasons.
8235  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTB] TITAN ONE GOLD on: September 23, 2014, 01:06:23 PM
Shame I only heard about these a couple of days ago as I probably would've bought one. Real nice looking coin and I've always fancied owning a bit of gold and throwing btc into the mix is like the perfect investment.
8236  Other / Meta / Re: Someone BUYING older accounts here for mass propaganda.... on: September 23, 2014, 12:31:56 PM
There's a news coverage of this thread in cryptocoinsnews:

http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcointalk-accounts-are-being-bought-and-sold/

Haha. Must be a slow week in Bitcoinland. Glad they didn't go with the paranoid and alarmist headline SHOCK HORROR: BITCOINTALK ACCOUNTS BEING BOUGHT FOR MASS PROPAGANDA.

Came to this thread from that news article. This place is fu€ked for allowing accounts to be sold in the first place.

I would agree, but it's not like they encourage or support accounts trading. They simply don't forbid it, and what's not forbidden is allowed. Also, there's not much anyone can do to prevent it, they could suspend such accounts, but they would need to be 100% sure that those have been bought/sold.

On the other hand, when you reach hero or legendary rank, it's nice to know that your account is worth 'something'.

Exactly. It's not like this forum permits scams either but we let the community police itself on such matters. We can't be expected to babysit users or eradicate scams but whatever we did or didn't do one thing I know is people will always complain either way. I'd also just like to state that I was actually against the selling of accounts initially and was surprised to see it was even allowed here (as well as mods not doing anything about successful or attempted and blatantly obvious scam attempts) but I soon saw the logic in why they don't act on them. Hopefully in time others will as well, though I don't think there's any right or wrong way to handle this situation and is just down to personal opinion.
8237  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: September 23, 2014, 12:11:53 PM
any news about the fixed pay campaign so far ?

No, but if and when it does happen I'm sure everyone will know about it as there'll almost certainly be a big buzz on this forum. I'm sure this thread will be re-titled or maybe a new one created for it as well.

Did you not notice his red trust rating?

I really can't feel sorry for you

Isn't showing up as red for me though he has a couple of negatives. Doesn't make sense to scam for $60. He was two activity periods away from being a Snr and could've sold his account for upto 0.4, and now he's likely to not get paid from his signature campaign once someone actually does give him red trust.
8240  Other / Meta / Re: My friend got banned. Why? on: September 22, 2014, 07:06:40 PM
His posts aren't weak, it just seems like a newbie posting away. Are we going to ban clueless newbies?

In any case, how do you know if your account is temporarly banned, or permanently banned?

Temp bans will state the duration. His posts are pretty poor, but I've seen worse, but we also don't know if those were the sole reason why he was banned. If he was account farming all of his accounts will've got banned along with that one and it could be the best of a bad bunch, but he could've also been sending PM spam or doing something else.
