8281  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't join spam bounties. Easy money does not help you to (quickly) get rich! on: March 23, 2019, 03:39:23 AM
Join them, you will obviously get quick, easy money. Sometimes you can luckily receive $10, $20, or $50, but those money does not help you richer!
I think you are mistaken here. I've never joined an altcoin bounty, but from what I've seen, the vast majority are either scams or collapse long before they reach an exchange or are worth anything. With the ones that do succeed in become listed somewhere, the bounty rewards are generally worth a couple of bucks, at best. Not to mention that some of these projects want you to go through KYC and send them your documents in return for your "rewards", and sending your identity to a complete stranger in return for a promise of a few worthless tokens is completely insane.

Agreed. The rewards for this kind of task is extremely small, you won't even be able to buy enough food for 1 day with it. On top of that, the distribution usually takes months after the bounty is finished, so it's not really worth to do. You're wasting your time hoping your $1 tokens can make you become a millionaire in a few weeks or months.
8282  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [Resource] Telegram Group List on: March 23, 2019, 03:18:56 AM
I know Bravado and Whalebot alerts. Bravado provides some insights and strategy about long or mid-term strategies imo. As usual, it is only an opinion and they can give you false insight too. My best suggestion if you follow channel or group in Telegram is don't follow one channel only, follow multiple and crosscheck their info or opinion. The truth usually lies somewhere in between their opinion.
8283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Huobi vs BNB on: March 23, 2019, 03:07:50 AM
Tbh, the IEO idea is not entirely new and Binance is not the first one to do it. But those other exchanges fail to get good project on board and therefore failed to deliver IEO successfully. Binance just copy it and then other exchanges started doing that.

The only way an exchange can beat Binance is only if they have better product, market maker, support, and in short: beat Binance in every possible way.
8284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what guides do you use for trading signals on: March 23, 2019, 03:01:46 AM
I think it is best you learn how to read the market yourself from professionals, so that you don't need to rely on any one for trade signals.

Following trading/premium paid group for signal can be useful to predict market sentiment too. While it is not entirely correct, sometimes they can start a new pump or dump trend especially for low-cap/volume coins. Of course this is not ethically right, but use this carefully to watch out irregular market movement.
8285  Economy / Reputation / Re: Promotion with merit system and new rank requirements. It's possible. on: March 22, 2019, 04:51:58 AM
This is one of main reasons why we usually see perma bans due to plagiarism on newbies, or lower rank members. Higher rank members known the rules well, and they don't stupid enough to intentionally violate that rule.

Another possibility is that the 'plagiarism' post from those high-ranked users are hard to be found (maybe he did that when he's still newbie). But yeah, it's definitely a waste of time when you finally ranked up but then you got banned because plagiarism when you're still Jr. Member.
8286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can I get my coin from bitcoin core wallet without waiting to sync on: March 22, 2019, 04:36:42 AM
Thank you. I think a mod already did that for me. You guys are great. thank you. I will try right now

Never ever use the address associated with that private key again. Make a new wallet immediately and keep the seed/private key safe, never exposed it online ever again.
8287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin network congestion (even with Bench32 add.). Raise fees if you're hurry! on: March 22, 2019, 04:28:36 AM
Useful link to check unconfirmed transactions and best transaction fees. Thanks.
The rule to use the recommended fees and, if in hurry, even bigger ones, is universal. Electrum has options for fee estimation, but I still feel safer to check and set the value myself based on the data from btc.com. This way you have a better chance to avoid surprises.

I think if from the beginning you use Electrum recommended fees, you won't even face this problem at all (depends on what you think 'a problem' is).

I've always use Electrum recommended fees (or sometimes lower or higher, depending on my needs) without checking on other site and so far it's good. Not saying being more careful is bad but if you know the consequences of using low fees then you don't have to panic.
8288  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A list of bitcoin forums to check out on: March 22, 2019, 02:23:34 AM
The list might be useful for those who want to promote their services, but for those who want to look for forum to learn (or possibly get additional income) then I doubt we have other forums than Bitcointalk. I personally know some services that are interested to promote their services on other forums (basic principle of marketing, spread your message to potential clients whenever they are), but tbh, forum wise, it's not really a good place to discuss. You post today, reply will come tomorrow or maybe next week.
8289  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to watch out for newbie scammers (my tips) on: March 22, 2019, 02:06:39 AM
4. Bounty managed by Newbie is big red flag, it's risky to join it. But even trusted manager isn't guarantee that you will get paid. Sometimes payments for bounty are issued by ICO team, not by manager, so risk to be scammed still remains.

I'd say you need to also look at which project that do that. I've personally known a bounty manager who manages multiple projects creates a new account for each project that she manages (well, to be precise, Copper Member). But if the project is really weak/without any prospect, it's very likely the bounty will only waste hunters' time.
8290  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: An advanced cryptocurrency exchange to bridge the buyer and seller gap on: March 22, 2019, 01:55:10 AM
I have visited your site and it looks like you provide two kinds of exchange, OTC and regular spot exchange. The UI looks nice but I can't check the security of the exchange as I don't have the capabilities to do that.

Anyway, do you also support market making services or your provider needs to get MM from other providers?

I'm not so sure if the OP will respond to your questions but if he does I will advice you not to trust in a project which was advertised on 14 different thread in a month and if they are a leading company in what they do, they can easily get their banner advertised on this forum rather than creating series of threads in a month.

I don't know how legit this company is, but maybe they just don't think ad space is good for them (though I doubt they know about it either). Anyway, potential customers should use escrow to prevent any possible scam.
8291  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2013-03-21]IBM Joins Two Major U.S. Banks to Issue their Own Crypto on: March 22, 2019, 01:39:25 AM
Okay, looks like XLM and JPM Coin will be used for banks payment. But they also said IBM will also support other cryptocurrencies. So does this mean they only act as a payment gateway? Bitcoin and other currencies that they've said already has their own blockchain so I don't think they'll fork it and then peg the value to BTC, that's not as good as it sounds.
8292  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Double Spend Error on: March 22, 2019, 01:28:09 AM
I supposed to order something and this order's value 23 Euro. But site had an error after ı sent the money and it seems my order valu 46 Euro.
https://anonfile.com/v1o2baTcm1/12_png   İt's a screenshot.I'm really so angry it's been 6 days

That order looks weird. Would you mind telling us which site is this?

Assuming they're legit, looks like their automatic order processing fails to recognise your payment due to difference in total payment (they ask you for 46 euro but you sent 23 euro only based on the order details), so they should revert back to manual verification for this imo. Don't know what caused this error but their order receipt looks strange.
8293  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: Resiko unlock pake private key on: March 22, 2019, 01:17:13 AM

CMIIW.
8294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Used Computer Equipment For CryptoCurrency Unsafe? on: March 22, 2019, 12:58:33 AM
If you want to be 100% safe, even though you used a used computer, then don't ever connect it to the internet. Use your computer offline, and don't forget to re-install anything. Wipe your harddisk, use Linux, etc. Those keylogger from mouse etc won't be able to cause you problem if it ever exist as long as you don't connect your computer to the internet, unless your hacker somehow lives around you and use some kind of WiFi to transmit the data from the mouse/keyboard directly.

In short, hackers needs to get or download the data from your computer (if it's hacked), either via internet, other connection devices such as bluetooth or go to your house directly. So you can protect yourself by disconnecting from the internet, make sure there's no other connectivity devices activated, or keep your computer somewhere safe.
8295  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbistar - Automized arbitrage bot on: March 22, 2019, 12:48:26 AM
Not sure how legit they are, bot automatic trading bot is not entirely new concept. There are others bot or services such as Arbidex which help you to manage and trade your crypto using "sophisticated algorithm trading". I personally believe you can use open source bot such as Gekko or Zenbot with ease if you're an expert on TA, as most bot relies on TA to do their job. Automatic trading bot is no difference, they just use preprogrammed TA and APIs to connect your trade.
8296  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: If you own a crypto blog, Please list your blog here. on: March 22, 2019, 12:38:28 AM
Is there no limit on what kind of crypto blog that you're looking for? Can blog that is used for bounty hunting (creating ICO reviews article, for example) to be included here, or can ICO reviewers site get included here? You might want to check out Luntik Reports or ICODrops. Though they're not blog per se, they do post articles on their site regularly about ICO projects.
8297  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hidden gems in the Crypto world! on: March 21, 2019, 01:29:03 PM
It's not really a ground breaking innovation. They just follow what Binance and others major exchange does, launching their own ICO rip-off in order to boost their native token price. Unless they make a deal with great project, the pump won't last that long.

8299  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BaseFEX Recruiting 100 "Angel Users", Offering $50 For Each on: March 20, 2019, 07:30:00 AM
Just registered on the website to try and check out the exchange. So far so good (not trying to trade any yet, don't have any liquid funds).
The order books looks great too, seems like the market maker is doing their job (just checked their group and it seems according to their experience there is no fake volumes).
8300  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: hitbtc is a scam exchange Beware !!!!! :'( :'( :'( on: March 20, 2019, 07:20:33 AM
https://twitter.com/officialmcafee this is how you contact him, he months ago seems to be gathering a group to fight HitBTC

Well, I don't know if it's good or bad not being the only person with issues with hitbtc, I will most definitely contact him to see what they plan on doing.

I don't think McAfee would help you. He's still running from tax violation iirc?
Anyway, if you still can't receive your funds back, maybe it's time to call your lawyer.
HitBTC is already famous for shady things like this, so their reputation is not really at stake it seems.
