That's ridiculous. Forum time jumped 30 seconds from where I see, and that timer was WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY off. I've put in a fair bid offering more money, bids should extend the auction time by 1 minute.

one observation I want to share. I have one blade from first auction. I overclocked it myself with 1.24v today after 20h work it gives
16,072.10 MH/s 776384 (99.41%)
heating more, but with efficient cooling all tip top.
That's a bit weird. Can you detail your set up over on the guide page where there are a lot of active owners, lets see if we can replicate your 16GH. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=205369.new#newit maybe incorrect value, as it is hash calculated by pool, anyway I see higher hash rate from this blade all the time not less then 14ghs. from15blades I'm getting around 182.20 GH/s some blades run on high and few on low. I does no have enough power back up to run all blades on high. set up is same of other's. blades in PVC pipes rake, cooled by AC and strong centrifugal type blower. One blower cooling 8 blades. Ah that explains it. Pool hash rate is pretty shit, console is the only true one.

The winner makes money, as long as their cumulative bids do not add up to more than the price of the product. We make money if all the bids add up to more than the price of the product. Otherwise we make a loss, which is fine. Losers lose their bids in order to subsidise a cheap prize for the winners.
It is completely sustainable if we make more profits on all auctions than losses; in the long-run we hope this to be the case but are also happy to cover any losses.
ONE winner makes money. The other bidders get NOTHING for the money they put in. That is exactly what he said. What proves my exact point that the whole business model is unsustainable.

Thanks Caesium! s/101/100/ was exactly the fix.
The blade is now hashing merrily. Still only one yellow wire, but it's not even warm (keeping a close eye/finger on it though). Noisy but powerful tabletop fan blasting across the blades and behind (it's biiiig).
Five minutes in, hashrate appears to be 5.8 GH/s, power draw ~61W. Are these figures reasonable? I should point out that in the interest of safety I twiddled all those voltage screws down to their lowest setting which appears to be 970mV (varies by a few mV for each screw).
ETA: just noticed the row of chips is about a third 'x'ed. Is that just cause I've undervolted?
1.05V is the recommended undervolting figure. You could try 1.03 but some of the chips couldn't really work on such low voltage due to variety in wafer production. If you are lucky 1.03 should be fine. Look at this great thread and how much time I've saved you answering questions and not having to go through "omg my blade is broke" PMs ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2F2.bp.blogspot.com%2F-WzVkNPc7-nI%2FUVw00_O7mTI%2FAAAAAAAAG4g%2FwpDzvllZ7Fg%2Fs1600%2Fbitch%2Bswitch.jpg&t=663&c=OXLqI6TyEA7pMw)

There will be no WR for this as it endangers lives attempting it - going against the self imposed rules.
|
|
|
The problem with this is that either the collective bidders make money, or you do. Neither is sustainable.

-_- Really. Anyway, thread closed. I funded 2 blades in this round myself. I've provided some personal information [about something else actually] to John K and an open offer to provide everything. And for the record I am not a scammer, I am not a retard, I have no connection to "Julia Sanders". You will only ever find me online by dogie or some variation if taken. I have 30-50k ebay transactions on multiple accounts. I don't use font colours or sizes like that person does: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=116721;sa=showPostsHe has done this in multiple threads [*edit, although because he did it after than in my thread, going to get accused about being an inception scammer xD]: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=201871.msg2132906#msg2132906Closed.

Yes that's because you undervolted too much and now one bank isn't receiving enough power. That can destroy your hash rate. I'm not sure why you messed around with your blade so much, they ARE plug and play if you do it properly.

hwo do i perform a hardware reset? just tip the two pins? or is there something special??
That's correct, you'll see the LED come on. Did you compile the proxy (midstate) C Extension in order to speed things up? ... In English? ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

China doesn't really have "Rule of Law". Government can crack down when it wants to crack down, or change it's mind and push a positive Bitcoin story on it's evening news. Totally agree , just pointing out they need to be more careful there since there is a precedent for virtual curerenc rules. I can see them banning it overnight, and unlike here in theUS they wont need to run it through congress and whatnot Yifu talks about this briefly in video 2 around the 8 min mark. That wouldn't be too hard in the US. Just say something like "Bitcoins blah blah links with terrorism blah blah DEY TRYIN TO TAKE OUR GUNS" blah blah

Comp deaths like this are not uncommon. I've had many a brand spanking new motherboard die during a 24 hour burn in. Motherboards dying are pretty tame, bit of a smell.
But compares to a fully loaded KW power supply exploding while your head is in the case looking for fan vibration -_-

You can use a PCI-E 6 pin but again you'll be overspec, although its the same as a molex. PCI-8 pin is best. There will be 3 12V cables, and 5 neutrals. Just wire them all up. Hi dogie, I am confused ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I bought another molex splitter but I doubt it will be any different than my previous melted one ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif) I rather use the PCI-E 6pin since I trust more the cables in my Corsair GS600 PSU Can you please explain whether to use two yellows and blacks or only one of each for powering the board? thanks! So just for future reference, upon further inspection my new molex splitter claims to be 18 AWG while the old (partially melted one) didn't say anything at all... ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) After compare them both, the new splitter's cables seem to be stronger as well. So I suggest to update the guide to check for the AWG inscription in the cables or use the PCI-e with 8 pins connector. Its a good tell if they're unmarked, but definitely a few of the burnt ones were also labelled 18 unfortunately.
