I will be sending you the coins soon.

Wait, you're sending starsoccer9 the coins that Garr255 said he was?

No way! No fuckin' way! Surely not! OMFG! Getting another cup of coffee before reading the next post. Coffee is my  popcorn.
8342  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Garr255/Werner - Auction shilling on: June 21, 2013, 05:24:29 PM
WTF, Garr! This thread has doubled in size since I posted. I was only kidding about starting a bonfire. Now I'm forced to read to catch up to see if any fuel is needed, of which none will be barn wood. Maybe all the posters are thanking you for coming forward with your apology, but I somehow doubt. Hope this episode doesn't interrupt your spring vacation.

Peace.

Now to a reading.

EDIT:

I'm pretty sure the bonfire got started with post 170 at 04:27:19 AM. Back to a reading to see how this now epic thread ends.
8343  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are only 21 THOUSAND bitcoins on: June 21, 2013, 04:49:17 PM
We can all agree that the 21M figure was contrived to show the world that a limited number of bitcoins will ever be mined, along with showing the handsome algorithm curve for its creation.

If a lower amount were used (via minus a couple zeros) then the price would have skyrocketed too high, to quickly, spooking too many. Likewise, if a higher amount were chosen, this too would spook the masses for a set of dis/similar factors.

For the common layman, mining or investing in Bitcoin will never be on their radar. But, Bitcoin is something of which could be very beneficial to them, directly a/o indirectly, whether they use it or not.

Down the road, the average Bitcoin user would know, or care less what the exchange rate is, as long as they don't see their dollar, et al., fluctuate wildly on their handware device of choice. If fact, they may not even see a total amount of bitcoins figure (useless they opt to display that option), again, just the amount they have on account based in their local currency. Bitcoin will just be the most honest way to keep score via its back end accountability consisting of ones and zeros, sans any major manipulations in the exchanges.

I'm sure that the above has been expressed a myriad of times more eloquently, but opted to try to put Bitcoin back in perspective, hoping others will expand or correct, if need be, my assessment.
8344  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Garr255/Werner - Auction shilling on: June 21, 2013, 08:57:58 AM
Quick aside: How was Garr planning on hosting miners for others when he's planning on attending college this fall? If he lives on campus, he'll be breaking code regulations by operating miners that won't have UL tags.

Real question is, why is Garr planning on attending college this fall anyway? After this thread is done, any employer doing a background check on Garrett Ian McDonald is going to come across this site and know that the little shit is untrustworthy. Unless North Idaho is a farmer's college, I'd say use that tuition money to make everyone on here hole and spend the rest on a good, solid name change. May I suggest Ian Garrett McLovin?

Many people trust me with more money than most people my age can fathom. That's not in the least of my concerns. It truly saddens me that you think me bidding up those auctions deserves a lifetime of flipping burgers.

And to respond to Phinnaeus (Who I respect a good deal BTW): I will be leasing a portion of a facility staffed by DC techs who will be able to manage the physical aspect of the operation. I will be able to do everything I need to remotely.

Now, this really pisses me off, Garr. How the hell am I suppose to continue when you're being kind to me?

Depending on your course of study in college, you may not have to work for a traditional employer, probably working for yourself.

Sadly for you, there's still others still sticking it up you butt over this unfortunate episode. I'll only add fuel to the fire if I see a bonfire.

BTW, this is all Josh's fault  Roll Eyes, but you're in no position to concur. No need for Josh, either, to weigh in on this comment. He did do the right thing.

As far as for a scammer tag, I feel that there is no way you should get one. Reason being is that it's been stipulated that that aspect has been abolished. In fact, it was mainly that reason that I kinda reneged on my $200 USD donation to Josh/BFL, having no fear of getting tagged. I have since re-reversed that decision and will be honoring it, but it'll be on my terms. But I digress.

Later, bud.

PS: I came damn near to tearing your apology to pieces, but now can't, you fuckin' lucky bastard.  Wink
8345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The myth of 21 million coins on: June 21, 2013, 07:26:53 AM
Re 2) above: promises for gold, say, aren't as good as actual gold. Which would you prefer? The only reason the fiat and promissory systems have been able to develop as they have is that gold and silver are a pain to carry about.

I can start my own cryptocurrency with its own genesis block at any time - let's call it Spitcoin, say - but that doesn't make it an expansion to the bitcoin money supply, any more than if you take rocks from your back yard, paint them yellow and call them "gald"...

This is true, but look how gold is traded.  Promises for gold are 10+ times more numerous than the actual physical gold supply.

It wouldn't be if there were a blockchain for gold.

The world awaits Twinkies and BFL ASICS. believe. ..................

Believe it or not, the company that took over Hostess has a Twinkies clone on the market, albeit they suck--too cakey and the cum filling is bland.

But you brought up a neat stat. Hostess went out of business taking Twinkies with them, yet Twinkies have returned, all within the time frame that BFL has been saying in-two-weeksTM.

Meanwhile, the guy who told the boldface lie about the FCC cert. tried to accuse me of scamming BFL outta $200 USD.

When is the Jalapeno getting FCC approval?

Maybe two weeks? We are waiting for the test lab to issue the test report.

With the bump in power requirements on the MR and the new screen, we had to make changes, although the new screen is already certified.  We are doing all the devices at once, since they all share the same board.

Shit! There's two lies in that post.

We are waiting for the test lab to issue the test report.

Impossible, for there's no record that a submission was made on the official FCC site.

Why am I repeating myself?

Why am I repeating myself?

Oddly, they no longer all share the same board, thus all need to be vapor-inspected again.

In the last 20 years, I can count on one hand all the times I've been accused of wrongdoing (all unjustified, with the exception of one, for at night, all goats look the same, and I swore he was one of mine). Yet Josh knows me so well that I'm the worse of the worse that he's ever met.
8347  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Garr255/Werner - Auction shilling on: June 21, 2013, 06:48:12 AM
You most likely deserve the title untrustworthy.

That is a bitch move.

So which is it? Am I untrustworthy or a bitch? Being a bitch doesn't make someone untrustworthy. What I can't take is the continued hypocrisy by mouthpieces who ignore common sense in place of their own agendas. If repeating that for all to hear makes me a bitch, bring on the dog food.

I know from personal experience your a bitch because instead of responding to my valid points a few days ago, you simply deleted my posts, then I reposted them and you deleted them again.  Then I had to post an entire new thread just to make my views known.  In that thread, others confirmed you were doing the same to them.

But from what I can tell you got the untrustworthy tag by being a bitch to others.  Pulled some other bitch move by backing out of a bet that you publicly made?

I love your post above. Pretty spot on, especially this part:

This community should be more about banding together, not trying to get one over and bitching about everyone else.

No qualms with you, and my sentiment is genuine, albeit the slight diss.

8348  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Phinnaeus Gage scammer tag request on: June 21, 2013, 06:42:23 AM
So the irony of this is the bfl connection.  And that connection after almost a year of dodgeing scammer tags posting this.  LoL

BTW, there is a back story as to how all this started. Has something to do with me posting in red and 30pt font about the author of this thread a few days ago. Check my post history to see what I'm in reference to. It'll be easy to spot, like Data's cat.

BTW #2: As of yesterday, the FCC has no information on BFL. I wonder if I can get frequent flyer points for visiting the site so often. If I do, I better make sure of who's flyin' the plane.

Phinnaeus, that is the gayest thing I have ever seen.

You should see it in action. Like party-goers donning it while dancing on some coffee table.  Grin

Anybody with a sleep number 55 has lost their fuckin' mind!

rolf - I still think we need a template.  Wink

Code:
[size=8pt]Posts: 83951
Bowling: 222
Sleep No.: 69
Zip:  42042
Ph: BR549[/size]

Simple instructions:

Fill in your desired numbers.

8pt font will allow you to have five lines, coupled with looking like the activity no., and maybe it won't look fuzzy.

Post it via edited an old post of yours, taking a screenshot then copy, paste, crop, save, upload image.

I'm going to try doing such that with the new format. It doesn't take much time to do.

Any suggestions as to what other numbers could be used is appreciative.

If you opt to use it, then...wait for it...you've lost your fuckin' mind!

Going to crop the above oppose to editing an old post.

Ok, here is a list of charities that we have been contacted about. Please let us know if you have any objections to donating to them.

1) https://watsi.org/about

2) http://iccf-holland.org/

3) http://www.handinhand-patenschaft.de/  (Please ask them to post a Bitcoin donation option to their website, even if it's just a text Bitcoin address wit a note about acepting Bitcoin for donations)

4) http://spices.org.my/  (Note, this one is run through a church, but is not a religion-focused charity)

5) http://www.sternenhof.eu/ (helping flood victims and their animals)

6) http://harvestlots.org/

7) http://www.hiphopchessfederation.org/  (growing a future generation of nerds!)

Some of them are still working on adding a bitcoin donation option to their page. Let me know what you think. I'll let you guys discuss them for a few days before I commit, just to make sure everyone got a chance to see them.

Per Rassah's request, I'm in the process of vetting them.

#7 is a go, as I've seen they've already embedded and Rassah's ready to send.

#6 ~ I'm curious as to who suggested this one to you, Rassah.

#5 looks okay, for I think I saw a goat.

#4 has been accepting bitcoins since 2011: http://web.archive.org/web/20110924062608/http://spices.org.my/be-involved/donations/

#1, #2 & #3 look swell as well.

As stated above, spices.org.my has been accepting Bitcoin donation since 2011. Depending on their reach (read exposure on the internet), a consideration of a 1/3 of what's currently being doled out if they upped ante up on giving the Bitcon logo a more prominent location on their site. Again, only if their exposure warrants it, coupled with what others feel about it. Overall, they are a very fine organization.

Another way they could earn possibly the fuller amount is if a new press release about their organization is published with Bitcoin mentioned twice (once may not be enough, and three times would be overkill). The news article would have to be some venerable source, oppose to a Yahoo type release. Use thinking outside the box here.

Again, I'm curious as to who suggested harvestlots.org to you.

Later, bud.
8353  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Garr255/Werner - Auction shilling on: June 21, 2013, 03:24:48 AM
I guess theymos ain't too worried about the ~$25,000 USD under Garr's control.

Clearly, one can see that Garr stated that he can be trusted, but then in the very next post bumps his own auction.

I'm not sure what goes through Garr's head, but I'm pretty sure that this is not an isolated incident over and beyond the three shill bids. There is no way Garr can come here and say that that's all he's ever done that was not up to snuff pertaining to Bitcoin. Chances are there's more nefarious activities going on of which we're not yet aware of.

To negate the first sentence of this post, I'm pretty sure theymos has at least made contact with Garr to get the 250 BTC back into his control. If he does get them back, may I suggest placing them in Rassah's control along with the other 750 BTC he has. I truly trust that dude (maybe I should have said him).

Quick aside: How was Garr planning on hosting miners for others when he's planning on attending college this fall? If he lives on campus, he'll be breaking code regulations by operating miners that won't have UL tags.

I may be out of the loop here but is garr255 jeff garzik?
Yea, that's out of the loop alright. And no, Garzik is not a teenager.

And here are Garr's buds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cVvuoG303s Matt being the closest.

Bruno, we've been through this with Atlas. What Garr255 did was wrong, but unless I'm not mistaken, he's still a minor in high school.

I stand corrected, sharpen your pitchfork.

I guess there'll be no need to unless you want to discuss Garr's banking and lottery sites.

this thread could have been solved with one post......

scammer tag due to a break of promise?

inaba/BFLJosh how many promises have you broken? and how many customers have been affected.

pot, kettle, black..

lock thread

That moment when you call the forums worthless yet try to get scammer tags for people who do exactly what you do.

I was looking for a reason to use one of the different fonts available on this forum.

Hmm...

There is an option c here.

This might not be as black and white as people suspect.

But good thread for popped corn.

You might want to mention it considering Garr is currently bound by Josh not to defend himself, or risk losing his BFL shipment.

I cant prove it or have access to the info needed to be able to prove it. However there is a reasonable answer. If theymos looked into it i think he could confirm.

If this does get looked into you guys might be shocked by the findings and maybe everyone here has been honest.

Replying in order as I read to catch up, I think you're implying something here. Not exactly what, but I think I have an idea. Hopefully, you and/or I is a wrong. (I sometimes pen via a skewed vernacular)
