8341  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The simplest way to keep track of my portfolio, average coin prices etc? on: February 11, 2018, 12:19:33 AM
I've been using https://www.cryptocompare.com for the past months. It suits me because I can create multiple portfolios and see them in different currencies. Another advantage is that I can acces it from both pc and phone.
I'm also using Cryptocompare, their service satisfy my basic needs. I also like that they allow to create multiple portfolios, it helps my to track my coins on different exchanges. It's a website, not an app, so you can access it from your PC, tablet or smartphone. If you are looking for a free tracking tool, I think that Cryptocompare is good enough.
8342  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 07-Feb-2018] on: February 11, 2018, 12:02:55 AM
@aceptamosbitcoin2, I feel sorry that you lost your account, but you are posting in wrong topic - it's overview if signature campaigns and people here can't help you to recover your account. If you already send PM to admin by following this instruction https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0, you have to wait now. You also can try to send message another time if you haven't received answer after few weeks. And I'm not sure what you are trying to say on the last sentence...
8343  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why does it call "market will never sleeps"? on: February 10, 2018, 11:53:13 PM
I have seen that certain people said that market will never sleep. As I know, like usual market at NASDAQ or NYE Stock Market they usually open their market at 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. So why does it call market never sleep? I am curious. I am new to this kind of thing
Every Stock Market have their fixed operating hours.  But there are many stock markets around the world, not only in USA, but also in Europe or Asia - they are working in different time zones. For example, if stock market in USA are closed at the moment, stock markets in Europe or Asia are working.
And when we are talking about crypto markets that term represent it best, because as we know - crypto markets never sleeps and it's alive 24/7.
8344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for bounty on: February 10, 2018, 11:35:37 PM
From what I know bounty hunters are not required to submit KYC's as most of the time it is only for investors but then again every bounties have their own rules so you should ask this question on the assigned bounty manager.

Should that be too much for just a bounty program? KYC is a sensitive information. I do believe its only for Investors during an ICO. I would not dare to give my anonymity in return of a small token. (If they will actually pay and not just a Bogus program)
I think it would be too much. It's become normal that mostly ICO's are asking now to verify your identity. But it's really sensitive information and I'm not giving it to every random ICO. But if Bounty campaign participants are asked to verify identity, I would skip that campaign. There are so many scam or shady bounties and it's likely that they may use our personal information for a bad things. And even if they will pay out, I think it's not worth to sell our sensitive personal information for some tokens.
8345  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin talk account in different IP ? Problem ? on: February 10, 2018, 12:37:17 AM
Nothing, it won't affects your account. it will be a problem if you use 2 accounts on the same IP address
Wrong. You can use 2 or more accounts on the same IP address, it's not against the rules. Theorically, you can use as many accounts as you want on same IP address as long as you not breaking any rules of Bitcointalk.
8346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Posting an ANNOUNCEMENT thread on: February 10, 2018, 12:19:47 AM
Thanks Guys for the Reply. In terms of Credibility of a project, does it need to be posted by well ranked member here or Lower Rank Members like newbies will do?
That'a good question. Personally, to post announcement I think it would be best to use your official account which also wil be used for further communication. But since you are newbie, you need to buy Copper membership if you want to post images (I'm sure you want).
Another option - hire high ranked member to post ANN thread. But you need to find member with good reputation. If member who posted your ANN will get red trust rating, it wont give good image to your project. And hiring one of forum members can give you little inconvenience when you will want to update Announcement post because only user who posted it can update that post.
And one thing that you need to know - don't try to buy farmed account to post your announcement
8347  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin talk account in different IP ? Problem ? on: February 09, 2018, 07:41:52 PM
It's nothing wrong to use different IP's, you aren't breaking any of Bitcointalk rules.
This is policy of Bitcointalk - some people want to stay anonymous, others want to avoid censorship and this is why people are allowed to use dynamic IP adresses, Proxy, VPN, Tor to access Bitcointalk. You wont get permaban, don't worry.
8348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: fastest way to earn money on btc on: February 09, 2018, 07:05:21 PM
Wow. Such question from Full member... You was able to reach that rank and still don't know how earn Bitcoin. Maybe it's bought or hacked account?
I'm not going to give advices, other members already posted some good suggestions. But c'mon, you can find thousands similar threads. If you would try to use search, you would find answers. Now you are just looking like an idiot by asking this question by being full member.
8349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto ATM - Would you use them? on: February 09, 2018, 03:27:30 PM
I don't see a big need to use Bitcoin ATM. Their fees damn high and exchange rates are horrible. I would use it only in urgently case when I would need to buy or sell BTC immediately. But in all other cases, I prefer to use more convenient services to exchange crypto.
And even if I would want to try Bitcoin ATM, I would have to travel to other country. In my country there was only 2 Bitcoin ATM's, but both was closed recently because they weren't approved by local tax institution. As owners of these ATM's said, they were getting more popular and had more andmore customers day by day. So, despite all disadvantages, Bitcoin ATM's can find enough users to operate.
8350  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stacked Address & Private Key in Bitcointalk account on: February 09, 2018, 03:01:08 PM
I did not understand what is the relation between stacked address of my BTC wallet and Bitcoin talk forum?
bitcoin talk is dedicated from my BTC wallet. but if they have relationship, please tell me how can i use it in bitcointalk.org ?

when i go to my setting in my profile, i can not see a place or position for stacked address!

how can i change my account's stacked address?
As I already said, people stake their Bitcoin address to prove that they are real owner of bitcointalk account in case if someone hack account and original owner lose access to his account. Then you just need to sign a message from your stacked address and send PM to forum admin with request to recover account.
If you want to upload your Bitcoin address to your profile, open your profile, then click "Forum profile information" and you will see place to upload address.
Usually people are stacking their Bitcoin address with signed address on this thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=996318.0
Then other people verify signed message and quote that post. In account recovery proccess it works as reference to prove who is original owner of account.
Well, if you want to change your stacked address, you need to post signed from old address and also upload signed message from your new Bitcoin address. I hope it's clear enough. If not, don't hestitate to ask Smiley
8351  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are people on forums so mean and harsh? on: February 08, 2018, 11:48:55 PM
It's fine if newbies ask same questions over and over again. What I think is that more senior members can either ignore them and don't answer. This way they have to dig up themselves. If they continue the same question over and over again opening a thread for it, they can be reported to moderator. But what I think is there is no need to show any hostility towards anyone even if it's new member. Remember even the seniors were new at some point. The members are senior here not only because they've got a account here before anyone else but for they possess some good skills which they can utilise in helping others instead of showing hostility towards anyone.
It's not against the rules to ask questions which was already asked and answered. So, there would be no point to report such threads. Yes, we can ignore such questions, but many people still answering - some are just posting for their signature campaign. Others are showing hostility, but still, usually they give correct answer Smiley

i really really hope we newbies can give (-) to users like that. we newbies is trying hard to learn here so please don't make it harder, don't make us give up to learn here. both spammer and bad user who bullied newbies should get some punishment for their bad attitudes. those people who act like a boss, like a master and bullying the newbies are worst, equal to the spammer.  Angry
Newbies also can leave negative feedbacks. But only feedbacks left by DT members affect user trust score. Basically, feedbacks left by you and me have same "power".
Personally, I also don't like users who acting like a boss just because that they have high rank. But my point is that should a bit more effort before asking questions. If you know how to use Google, I'm sure you can find answers to some basic questions which we are seeing on bitcointalk daily.
Personally, I've learned almost everything that I know about bitcoin myself without asking many questions. You just need to read, read and read. And repeat it daily.
8352  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Mistertango - Bitcoin friendly European Bank Account + free MasterCard on: February 08, 2018, 11:21:45 PM
Today I was reading article on Lithuanian press about customer of Mistertango who lost €500. Shortly, he lost his Mistertango debit card. It's possible to block card using Mistertango app, but for some reason he wasn't able to do that. He tried to contact support about this issue, but he didn't got answer. As written in article, it was contactless card and it don't require to enter PIN code when you spent up to €25 at once. So, person who found that card spent almost all money eventually. Good thing that Mistertango will cover these €500 and it will be returned to customer account. But one question came to my mind - when did Mistertango started to issue contactless cards? I can't find information about it anywhere.
And Mistertango said that have problems to answer support tickets in time due to fast increasing number of users. It can take more than week to get ticket answered.
Here is link of article, you can try to read it using Google Translate:

8353  Economy / Services / Re: Bounty manager is Here. on: February 08, 2018, 05:35:09 PM
Why somebody should hire you instead of one of experienced bounty campaign manager? How they can know that you will do your job properly?
You didn't put much effort to make your service ANN and it really looks like a joke... Some people think that everyone can be a good bounty manager nowadays.
8354  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are people on forums so mean and harsh? on: February 08, 2018, 04:57:44 PM
You are right, attitude towards newbies are negative here. But there are many reasons why. Newbies asking same general questions which was already asked million times. These users should put only minimal effort to find the answer, it's not that hard. For that purpose we have sticked topics with general information that they need to know. If they didn't found answer, it's nothing wrong to ask here. And more experienced members are getting tired to see and answer same questions. You are saying that some people are lazy by nature, but it's their own problem.
But I'm seeing harsh attitude towards newbies not only here on Bitcointalk, but pretty much everywhere where we can find discussions about crypto. Newbies asking same questions like "How to buy BTC with USD", "Which exchange, wallet to use", "how long verification takes" and etc.
8355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Beginners Guide to Bounty Campaigns on: February 08, 2018, 01:44:23 PM
Wow, great tutorial! Merit from me Wink
I see you put lot of effort to make this beginners guide. I'm not bounty hunter, but it was good stiff to read. Bookmarked your post - will give link to it when new members will ask how to participate in bounty campaigns.
8356  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: February 08, 2018, 01:21:30 PM
current rates:
Automatic (weekly): 3000 satoshi
Instant (~15 Minutes): 821 satoshi
Slow (6-24 Hours): 193 satoshi
I wanted to use this wonderful opportunity to withdraw my 50,000+ satoshis instantly from the site. but unfortunately  it is not the case anymore.

The current withdrawal fees are:
0.00017774 BTC  -  INSTANT (~15 Minutes)
0.00004182 BTC - SLOW (6-24 Hours)
Looks like fees have now dropped down now to 0.00001600 BTC for slow withdraw option. as bitcoin services/sites (and ultimately people) adopt segwit and batch the txs we're going to pay lower transaction fees. i wish every crypto sites had freebitcoin like withdrawal system. Smiley
Yes it fluctuates, depends on network traffics. At the time I'm writing this, withdrawal fees are:
Instant (~15 Minutes): 0.00006800 BTC
Slow (6-24 Hours): 0.00001600 BTC

you should check often to find the best/cheapest fee, I remember a few months ago was steady at 400 sats Tongue
try this weekend sunday morning, usually the fee is somewhat lower due to less transactions

I have not yet withdrawn any BTC from freebitco.in but these fees are really low if you compare this to the fees that you pay on blockchain or exchanges.
The fee for auto-withdraw is 0.00003000 BTC.
Yes, auto withdraw fee are low if you compare it with exchange or wallet fees. But when it comes to faucet, fee looks pretty big. If you are using their faucet only to get free BTC, you need to make over 100 faucet claims to cover withdrawal fee. For example, Faucethub withdrawal fee only 400 Satoshi. If you withdrawing bigger amounts than 0.0002 BTC, fees are even lower.
8357  Other / Meta / Re: Is there a way to block those infographic images? on: February 08, 2018, 12:25:31 AM
Why users should need to post link to the image instead of embeding it? Just because you don't like? If users would post only link to image, then we would be forced to open 3rd party websites in order to view an image. It doesn't sounds good.
I'm seeing only one annoying thing in this case - people quoting original post without snipping the image.
8358  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How many topic should I post at a time for getting merit ? on: February 07, 2018, 11:57:58 PM
You have wrong attitude... First of all, it's not about quantity of posts, it's about quality. If you will make 20 shitposts a day, you wont get any Merits. But if you will make 1 high quality posts, it's likely that someone will give you some Merit. So, you should focus on improving quality of your posts if you want to be awarded with Merit points. Best topic to post if you want to get Merits? Hard to say, but it's not likely that you would get Merit for posts made in Bounties, Politics & Society, Off-topic, Games and rounds boards.
8359  Other / Meta / Re: Two Factor Authentication On Bitcointalk on: February 07, 2018, 11:27:42 PM
Greetings,

After new forum improvements like merit, scammers trying to steal Bitcointalk passwords, as the profiles are more valued. I was looking for information in google trying to reach bitcointalk some post, but i found a copy of bitcointalk and was wondering why i'm not logged in. I was thinking to log in, but was surprised that i'm not on real bitcointalk.

Would be great to have an 2FA on Bitcointalk. What do you think about that?
Regards
If you would use search function, you would find many threads about 2FA. It was said that 2FA wont be added to current version of forum. As I understand, it's too difficult to integrate into current version of SMF. Probably some kind of 2FA will be added only to New Forum software
8360  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Talking to "others" about crypto on: February 07, 2018, 12:15:45 AM
Good storry, OP. I think that many of us had experienced something similar.
In past I tried to introduce Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to my family, friends. I explained some basic things, why it's worth to invest and etc. But I saw that they negative opinion and I can't change it, so I didn't put more effort to explain everything in detail, I don't see need to waste my time.
Then Bitcoin reached $20 000. And then people were asking, why I'm not selling now. I remember that my father said that bubble will burst soon...
And now when Bitcoin crashed, I'm getting lot of sarcastic questions "How much Bitcoin are worth now?" When I answer, they say why I didn't sold at $20 000. Now my father says "I told that bubble will burst soon. Now you only can dream that Bitcoin will reach record price"
No matter that I show how much profit I made until now, they still have negative opinion. My family and friends are sceptical about cryptocurrencies, but they don't have many arguments against it.
