8381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 90% Altcoins will die? on: September 25, 2018, 05:21:28 AM
Hello everyone, Like you've seen the title, My Question is that people say 90% of altcoins will die, If there are 1500 altcoins then 90% is big number, But i've never seen a coin die unless it was a scam or something, even Bitconnect is still alive, How will the Altcoins die? Is it even possible?

Not only alt coins, every coin depends on community. Without community all coin are useless. An alt coin values only on exchange (most alt coins) if there is no community for trade it than automatically it will die. Price depends of volume, if no much investor are agree to invest an coin than it's price will drop. You can see bitconnect once a time was more than 400$, but now I think 0.01 $ or something like that. You can call it dead. Because no community is there no investors are there so slowly it will die. Also a coin depends on team, how they are active and how they are going to build their community. After ICO if just skip with fund but listed on exchange than you couldn't expect good result on this coin. Slowly it will drop price, because team are not active to build their community. So we could say that a coin totally depends on community.

8383  Other / Meta / Theymos pls enable show trust rating on Bitcoin Discussion / Beginner's & Help on: September 24, 2018, 10:25:37 AM
Edited post and title:

It's seems enable trust rating on Bitcoin Discussion board become more important. Scammers are targetting that board to scam people's. For example this post. Because, especially new people's will fall into their trap. Also there is disable trust rating. Since Bitcoin Discussion board is most important board, I don't know why has theymos disabled trust rating. I am not sure what is the problem if show trust rating all over forum? So is it not better to remove trust system ? Trust is for prevent of corruption from forum. After got tagged from DT it will reflect on profile. So what is the meaning of hide from specific board ? In fact every one will able to see once visit his profile. But mostly new people's will not do that, and they will fall into scam. It has been happening. So I will request to enable trust rating on Bitcoin Discussion. If possible it's better to enable all over forum.

I don't know exactly why trust rating hide on Beginners & Help board. Also I try to use search before posting but there is no similar thread (I didn't find).

However as far as I know most of newbie visit on Beginners & Help board. I think they should meet with trust system. I can bet so many people's even don't know trust system. Once newbie will see someone have positive(+) or negative(-) trust, I believe they will try to discover it (IMO). I do not want to shorten anyone, just want to introduce trust system to newbie.

Edit;
I want to request show trust rating on local board also. This come on mind just because of this case. Really tag against of corruptions, so if it's doesn't reflect on local board than may be few people's will fall in scammers trap like I mention above.

Especially if any tagged members try to scam on local board or try to promote scam or ponzi scheme than people's will not aware about it. Perhaps people's just check trust rating when they are going to make trade. I have doubts that most if people don't do this. I noticed few people's got scammed by accoumt saller. But saller already tagged for scam. That's means few people's still don't know to read tagged.

I noticed few local board show trust rating like Chinese, than why not show in all local board ?
8384  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Ponzi Scheme 101 on: September 24, 2018, 10:00:20 AM
Good post. All high returns on investment will consider ponzi scheme. From our past experience we can see all of ponzi scheme became scam later on. Few crypto site we can see lately they are offering high returns, I would like to suggest just avoid this kind of projects. Due to your much greedy thinking you might be loss your capital. So be careful before join any ponzi scheme. Once new investment not come they will simply skip with your fund. I worry when I see high promising website or high return website. Because this is the sign of scam.
8385  Other / Meta / Re: Writing a welcome message on: September 24, 2018, 06:29:34 AM
1) Should add one more option to encourage people's for reporting spam post. This thread could be embedded for help new member's, Report effectively

Table of contant title could be; Help forum by reporting spam post
A new user should know how to report spam post so that he can avoid spam himself.

2) Title could be ; Read most useful post by users and I think this thread could be embedded [GUIDES] on Bitcointalk. Index thread (until there is a dedicated subforum?) . So newbie will able to read all useful post on one place. And there is all important post available.

I think the message should be shorter - much shorter. Or at least have the table of contents expanded into more of a summary: this is a Bitcoin forum, not a job... don't post shit... don't fall for scams... etc, with links to more details on each point.

I am agree with it. If message write too longer than member will discourage to read it. So it's better short discription with embedded link. So people will click link to read details. One more thing all clickable link should open new window/tab instated of redirect on same window/tab.

I don't think so escrow thread should suggeste by forum admin and shouldn't add on welcome message. If happen any scam who will responsible for that ? Theymos shouldn't involved with escrow system.

8387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IS THE BOUNTY HUNTER THE CAUSE OF THE SUDDEN PRICE CRASH OF A TOKEN OR COIN? on: September 24, 2018, 04:09:08 AM
~snip~

I don't think so cryptocurrency price dropped due to bounty hunters. There is lot of reasons, only one reanose are not enough for dropped price. So many negetive news, no big investors are entering on market, selling eth by ICO owners etc the main reasons (IMO). If new investors stop investing on crypto currency than no doubts price will drop slowly. Current market situation is no big investors are entering markets. Due to many negetive feedback form SEC many investors are worrying to invest on crypto. We can expect something will clear up to end of this year. Bounty hunters just hold average 5% from ICO. And obviously they will not sale on loss. So it will not effect on total crypto markets. Crypto markets movement depends on big whale.

8394  Other / Meta / Re: Will the Quality Post Really Get Merit? on: September 23, 2018, 01:07:15 PM
and how is a post considered quality? explanation please ...

Quality post is opposite of spam post. I can explain about spam post. Just visit your post history, it's full by spam post. Now think how you can make quality post.
Merit is for quality and useful post. It doesn't mean all if your post will merited. If you made post in mega thread and your post is quality there is very low chance to get merit. Also you should post on appropriate board and post. Important thing is what you are contributing for this forum. There is any useful tips or topic for forum and forum members ? Useful and constructive post are consider quality post.
8395  Other / Meta / Re: Bounty Manager as a good Merit source! on: September 23, 2018, 01:00:31 PM
~snip~

Worst idea for this year. It will be famous way to abuse merit system.
It will be better is disable merit option for bounty hunters Grin. Even BM not doing their own job how they will distribute merit fairly? As far as I know most of bounty managers have assistant for count post and update spreadsheet. So how we expect good result from them? They never check an ICO before start work how they will check the post of hunters.
8396  Other / Meta / Discover new title(rank) introduced by Jet Cash- "spambies" on: September 23, 2018, 12:47:19 PM
New title(rank) introduced by Jet Cash called spambie. Thanks to JC for discover new title. Really it's not fun, I realized the title and just want introduce to all. Recently so many accusation or complain regarding new merit system. But if you visit their profile you will realized that they are spambies instead of call newbie. Most of them are one line spammer and they are complaining about merit and meriting post of high ranked account. So I think it's really appropriate title (spambie) for them. Problem is they just want earn merit, never try to change posting behaviour. We are every one was newbie here. But we try to learn first then try to contribute something. Unfortunately current situation is different. People's just join for earn from here, especially bounty. I know it's not wrong. But once they see they need merit to be rank up than they start complain which is not fair I think. So called them spambies isn't wrong (IMO).

Those people's are just made complain instead of contribute something really they are spambie. Few people's are joined less then week and they are complaining about merit and meriting legendary. Actually they are not aware about all of rank and required. They just like to make complain.
8397  Other / Meta / Re: Are Legendary and other higher rank members abusing the Merit System? on: September 23, 2018, 12:16:27 PM
Wtf, you just joined September 14, 2018, almost a week and your start complaining about merit and legendary member's. It's look to me you are one line poster except this thread. Jet Cash new title spambie appropriate for you.
You should concentrent to make quality post instated of make accusation.
the point is Legendary members are not ranking up to any further rank so why dash them that huge number of merits when there are other lower rank members who equally deserve to rank up with some quality post of theirs.

So they should send merit to shitposter ? Due they they don't have chance for further rank up. Merit deserve by post, not by rank. If you have constructive or useful post obviously you will get. Your rank isn't fact.
8398  Economy / Reputation / Re: A red trust for absolutely nothing on: September 23, 2018, 11:52:04 AM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5035789.0
Please I'll like the moderators to go through this thread and tell me if it deserves a red trust

First your thread isn't belongs to meta. Please move it on Reputation board from lower left. Second trust isn't moderated by forum, so asking to moderators doesn't hold any weight. Third your posted topic that for you got red trust isn't holding much value. You just creat list, there isn't no link to click or no option visit their profile. No clear information on your thread.

Actually Vod should tag you for shitposting. There is nothing informative. You just copy paste total thread. Obviously you just try to gain merit, that's why vod tag you for merit reasone.

A funny fact is these days higher ranked members throw merit about to other higher ranked members for any sarcastic comment against the so called 'merit beggars'. And then turn round and tell lower ranked members, 'go make quality posts or you ain't getting anything'.

Rank isn't important for meriting. Important is quality and useful. Obviously you should made constructive and quality post in order to gain merit. Not post only just for increase activity. To be honest I can't see any meritable post on your profile. Most of post is too short. You made them on 2/3 line cleverly. Actually it could be post only one line. I will consider you one liner.

8400  Other / Beginners & Help / I am not fan of KYC on: September 22, 2018, 05:35:08 PM
I am not fan of KYC. I know there might be other threads about KYC. But I would like to describe myself why I am not fan of KYC.

Main reasone of I am not fan of KYC is fake ICO. How can I trust them with my personal identy even they are fake themselves. Many ICO asking KYC for airdrop, bounty and buy token. There is high risk to provide them my personal details. If they scam and use our identy on wrong way than what can we do? Nothing, we can't do anything with them. They might use it others illegal activity which is harmful for us. Suppose they can launch another ICO with using ours identy than what we can do if we are not aware about it ? But we will victims if they scam again. Also they could sold your details, like you can buy email list of crypto investors. Lot of ICO I have seen they are used others identy. Once we asked real persone than he don't know about that. But unfortunately we can see team has verify some of website like ICO listing. That means they are steal identy of others. That's why I am not fan of KYC.

Also there is chance hack of database. Imagine, if hacked database with KYC details than what happen? Hacker could use KYC details elsewhere. So obviously KYC is a danger system.

Before submit your KYC must know about their background. Some website we can trust like bittrex. But it doesn't mean we should trust all over ICO. Can some one explain why it is necessary to submit KYC for airdrop or get bounty stake? I don't think so it's necesarry. All crypto transactions are anonymous. So why I need to verify KYC.

In my opinion investors should ask KYC for ICO team. Because investors are investing their hard work money. Team should prove themselves they are real. May be team will explain to avoid multiple account they are asking for KYC. I am not agree with that. I can create multiple account even with KYC. I have family member and friends so I can used their identy to verify KYC. So it's not appropriate reasone to ask for KYC.

Be careful before submit your KYC on any ICO website. It might be harmful for you once.
