Flippening is happening. Ethereum might surpass bitcoins cap, but precisely what is fuelling ETH price? ICOs. A large number of ETH is getting locked up because of ICOs and thus causing a reduction in supply. ETH would be sailing smoothly until some ICOs fail to deliver and then there would be a substantial crash in Ether's price.
Limited supply, security, store of value, settlement system, even if Ethereum gets past bitcoin it still lacks these. So it would not be a concern for the people who have invested in bitcoins. ICOs are what Ethereum has to depend on to propel it's growth, a couple of fuck ups and price comes crashing down. Bitcoin on the other hand is growing rapidly and widely getting accepted as digital gold and payment system. Ethereum has its own advantages, no doubt about that, but as a digital currency it would not be able to compete with bitcoin.

Yeah sure, of course it is about to take over Bitcoin Kid, go make your homework, enough internet for you today. It's not even funny. It's ridiculous.

Yeah, I also don't trust ethereum dev, so yeah, i dump every single one I mine on a daily basis.
Later Edit: Still hold a few to sell if the scam will grow bigger. Just don't accumulate them.

Hi guys, I have just read the minexcoin whitepaper, sounds very interesting.
A few points that I need to get figured out: 1) "Predictable and controllable annual growth of the coin’s price which correlates with average annual price growth calculated for a portfolio of most popular altcoins (around 33.6 per cent). "
The main purpose of MinexBank is to stabilize the exchange rate within the range of no more than 5% of the previous day’s closure price.
How will this work? 33.6 % annual growth, predictable, but with max gain 5% per day, so if after 7 days after launch it will reach the annual growth rate and stall? What I am missing?
2) Once the values are reached, stock markets halt the trading, thus preventing speculators and misguided investors from dictating their own prices.
Did I read this right? If Minexcoin reaches it's 5% growth/day, you won't be able to buy, or sell, any minexcoin? Dude, what?

97% of the global population never heard of Bitcoin. 99.99% never heard of any altcoin!
While numbers are from May, they are pretty accurate I believe. Image what will happen when 10% of the global population will use crypto like us on a daily basis, that's 700.000.000 people. Imagine that, and, after that, imagine the prices of our precious coins.

I have few DASH coins and I think it's about time I exchange few, so is it possible to change dash for cash? If so, how do you do that?
Buy BTC and then you have cash.

Good one, but no

Switching to POS will mean a lot for Ethereum, a lot of miners will just mine something else (ETC?). What this will give to Ethereum nobody knows, I can suppose less miners = less transactions, less transactions = less market cap, less market cap = less support walls, less support walls = crush of the price. Please note that I don't have a degree in economics, it is my humble opinion.

Not going to happen with in next 10 years.

Dogecoin, obviously. I prefer to send the wallet credentials along with the tip, this way I don't need to ask them to create a dogecoin wallet, to wait for him to do it, waste time again and send the tip. I just hand them the doges.

+10% only now and no holder from bitcointalk replied. Obviously pump and dump. We know that if there are no supporters on bitcointalk then there aren't anywhere.

It is worth it, if something crazy won't happen within a month after you start mining, you will ROI (considering that one month you will get profit like today and selling your hardware after that if it won't be profitable).
I recommend you start today, I also recommend you to buy hardware that you can pick up right in your town, without the delay of shipping.
A great rig accessible in most of the world will consist of GTX 1060.
Good luck mate

Go ahead and sell if you have any
I don't have any, just curious about the opinions of the holders on this topic.

Latest 24 hours we see a correction of the price on most major crypto currencies. Except Bytecoin, it was pumped 25% of the yesterday's value. What are your opinions on this shitcoin right now?
1) Is it time to sell? 2) Is it time to buy, the pump just began? 3) Just wait and see what happens?
Shoot boys and galls, I am really curios of what everyone has to say.

Hi i couldn't know where can I open topic so sorry, I'm student and dont have much money so I need advice for buying altcoins .My university will open at september so can you guys tell me which coin best profit for short time (2-3 months) , I already bought 3 Stratis and 1325 Siacoin, I know thats very very small amount for you but Im student and dont have money thats what I can .So in short probably I can buy 0,02BTC more so where I should spend them , thanks
Just be careful not to touch Bytecoin scam coin and all created by those guys with minergate "software". I am an old school crypto holder, I only hold Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ethereum-Classic. I also have something in Musicoin, Siacoin and Expanse, in case someone decide to pump them. Good luck, and don't get too optimistic - any of the above can go down short, medium and maybe even long term. Except bitcoin

So I recently purchased a few risers and before fucking with anything, I wanted to confirm with you guys.
My Mobo has 4 PCIe and 2 PCI (not express). Can I connect a PCIe riser on a PCI? If so, whats the pinout (I couldn't find anything on this).
Sorry for the noob question :S
Thanks!
It will not work, I was stupid enough to try it - thankful, only the riser damaged.

Pics or it didn't happen. My Strixes 580 on stock gives 22,6-22,8 MH/s. All of them. Author, at current price, RX 560 are great too, no additional 6-8 pin to GPU, 130$ cost, around 15 mh/s with bios moded, 50W at the wall, consumption. GTX 1060, 1070 are great too, however they are more expensive. If it's your first rigs, I would build 3 x 3 RX 560 rigs rather than 1 x 3 GTX 1060. Good luck mate.

Please delete the bytecoin scam coin, it is ridiculous how some people are still promoting this scam.
I believe Ethereum will have the biggest rise in 2017. 1 Ethereum = 1000$ by 25 December 2017.

Diversify the sources of income and the retirement plans.
I honestly believe 1 satoshi will be 1$ worth by 2026, however, I don't remember any period in human history when a currency has increased in value millions of times, decrease yes, many times, but increase, it is remarkable what bitcoin is doing these days.
Yes, have a few bitcoin saved for the future. No, don't go all in in bitcoin, not even in real estate. Shit happens, war happens, crises happen.
Diversify.
