But a renowned team in cricket history is West Indies.
That was ages ago. I cannot remember the last time they performed admirably.

Such a poor performance in the Test series against India was not expected. The team lost all the wickets to collect only 150 runs.
Wrong. Such a poor performance was completely expected by almost everyone since they couldn't even qualify for the upcoming ODI World Cup successfully. Their new gen squad are mediocre basically.

I remember a news I read long time ago about a woman who made millions after winning a footbal pool. She had zero knowledge on that sport and his bet was 100% random. And she still won, where experts didn't.
I think you are talking about the lady who won a huge amount by selecting names of teams that she personally liked and placed them all together in an accumulator which amazingly came through.

That is one way of changing your life. The ironic thing here is that she didn't really like sports betting, but it transformed her life forever.
843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is more important for crypto users? on: July 12, 2023, 05:56:11 AM
I haven't seen a lot of people making tons of money through by getting lucky while gambling. To earn money you need to work hard and hard work nevel fails anyone. Gambling cannot be considered as a source of income, it is a source of entertainment. You can only earn money when you learn those skills that you wrote and work hard on achieving your goal. When you get bored do something that you love or gamble online.
Agreed. Depending on gambling to earn money regularly is a completely dumb decision, but many people around the world do it anyway. Why? Because it's a shortcut to success and who doesn't love shortcuts.

This is why so many people end up making their lives worse thanks to gambling away their hard earned money.

A majority of these facilities were well maintained, although crowd management was inexistent almost everywhere. But once in a while, the entire experience was ruined as a result of poorly maintained facilities where the washrooms were not clean and security arrangement was not up to the mark.
Agreed. Managing the crowds in top sports like cricket, football etc is a nightmare. I recall reading a particular horror story recently where Indonesian football fans were involved in a crush which actually killed many people.

This is why I prefer watching sports from the comfort of my home in 4k risk-free.

for the first round there is nothing to do just rely on luck the best chance is in the 2nd round because the BTC price change is not too significant but luck is also required.
I used to think the same way since the difference between the second round ending and the contest ending is pretty small, but it's not that simple since BTC is very volatile and many competitors make similar predictions.

These contests only require luck at the end of the day which is why everyone hopes that it sides with them somehow.
846  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: July 10, 2023, 06:15:29 AM
I believe this thread is rather about the possible applications of Artificial intelligence on gambling and not only on the use of such technology to guess results or break the randomness of the game.

It is mostly a discussion of enhancing what you get, the experience of wagering money. That is one of the reasons some web 3 casinos make emphasis on including AI text bots as some integration in their webpage.
The biggest application of AI on gambling is prediction of results which almost everyone would be curious about frankly speaking though I do agree that there are other possible applications too.

Am curious to see how crypto gambling sites incorporate them in order to enhance the performance of their sites.

Hell yeah! England finally pulled off a win thanks to some epic stuff by Brook, great bowling and the tail-enders. Wood and Woakes(W & W) turned out to be excellent additions to the team since they helped their team grab a W.

This series just got a whole lot more interesting. Am hoping for England to win the next one so that the final match will end up being the decider.
848  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: July 09, 2023, 05:42:28 AM
AI gambling sounds risky since those complicated algorithms cannot predict random results no matter how intelligent they are. Only fools would completely trust AI with their funds.

They can be helpful in certain areas though like sports betting by compiling data for a certain period of time etc acting as support systems.
849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 08, 2023, 12:23:53 PM
The Baz Ball is giving results but the fact is that it is not helping England win any matches against good teams and hence they wanted to find a reason to blame the failure by creating controversies  Cheesy
It did help them win matches against some teams, but it isn't really effective against extremely strong teams like Australia, but it's completely worth it for the entertainment factor only since the usual style of playing tests has gotten really boring.

Rain has stopped the play right now and once the weather clears and if Australia is able to add 120 to 150 runs then they could win the match easily as they already have a 142 runs lead.
250+ target is good enough against the English since they are playing like crap and are over-dependent on Stokes currently.
850  Economy / Gambling / Re: Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD on: July 08, 2023, 04:24:37 AM
Not going to talk about stake or any other casino, but if it's been mentioned on the ti's that kyc is required then better verify you identity from the start.
Any licensed casino will ask you for your legal documents sooner or later, either you verify your identity from the start or be ready to verify it later when requested.
Personally, I would doubt any one who will deposit a large amount on a casino without having a verified account. This rises suspicions.
Did you even read op's post properly? He made it clear on multiple occasions that he provided KYC again and again along with ample amount of evidence, but Stake kept changing their words and rejected them repeatedly.

Every crypto gambling site mentions KYC is required at some point or another, but it's mandatory only in some of them. Think!
851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: July 07, 2023, 02:05:21 PM
The West Indies team is going to be defeated as usual in today's match as well. Sri Lanka need only 126 runs in 29 overs to win. The condition of the West Indies team is getting worse day by day.
Very sad to see such a legendary team fall to nothingness thanks to the current batch of players who keep delivering bad performances again and again. This change occured when legends like Gayle, Pollard etc stopped playing.

I wonder if this team will ever return to their glory days at some point in the future.
852  Economy / Economics / Re: What will you do when you have Financial Freedom? on: July 07, 2023, 08:20:54 AM
My biggest goal in life is to enjoy as much as possible which is a simple and realistic goal overall. Once I achieve financial freedom in my life at some point, I will focus even more on enjoying as much as possible.

We only have one life which is why I am trying to live my life in this manner to the fullest. Just my 2 cents.
853  Economy / Gambling / Re: Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD on: July 06, 2023, 12:06:16 PM
Not much to update on yet, haven’t heard back.

I did ask customer service if I could send the video of me logging into my various utility and bank websites and they said it wouldn’t accept this.

However these are just customer service reps working off a script, if a senior at stake wants this, I can do it.
Am really disappointed in how Stake is handling your particular case. They should explain their side of the story and deliver a proper verdict instead of dragging this case on and on for months.

Personally, I gamble on Stake now and then, but I will stick to small amounts for now.
854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 06, 2023, 07:04:02 AM
3rd test time! This is the most important test in the series for obvious reasons and England are probably sweating like crazy while Australia are chilling since they are all set to retain the urn.

England should stop hiding behind pathetic excuses and simply prove that this series isn't over yet. Am hoping for this series not to end in a one-sided manner.
855  Economy / Gambling / Re: Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD on: July 05, 2023, 01:09:49 PM
I just noticed that Stuna made a comeback today after months of inactivity! He actually responded to several discussions about the accusations against Stake casino. Maybe he missed this particular topic.

Honestly, it'd be great to hear what he has to say and get an official statement from Stake on this whole case. His input could shed some light on things.
Good catch. I checked that thread out and it does seem like total nonsense. Weird thing is that he responded to that shady stuff, but he didn't respond to this legit accusation. He might have missed it as you mentioned.

Let's see if he or someone else from the Stake team properly clarifies their side of the story in this particular thread.
856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 05, 2023, 06:01:43 AM
Did anyone notice, In this Spirit of the game controversy no one from England's side talking about lagging 0-2 in the Ashes?

Be it Media, Pundits or Fans, literally no discussion on how Bazball rolled over and lost the plot in the first 2 matches and too at home. In contrast, I remember how brutally Aussie media reacted when they lost 2 consecutive home series against India and I can imagine what would happen if India manage to lose 2 back to back matches on their home turf.
True. England are trying their best to shield their embarassment through these pathetic blame game tactics which are pointless since the results matter the most and will be remembered primarily.

Broad told Carey that his dismissal of Bairstow will be what people remember him by, but what he forgot about is the fact that his team primarily will be remembered for losing the Ashes repeatedly against Australia.

Having said that i'd still like to see them doubling down on an aggressive approach and in this process i am okay with both results be it 0-5 for Aussie or 3-2 for England.
You underestimate the power of rain. I am expecting at least one match to end in a draw.
857  Economy / Gambling / Re: Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD on: July 04, 2023, 05:25:39 AM
Based on my understanding of the situation stake requested a utility bill which op provided, but was first rejected by stake because it wasnt a recent utility bill, op then provided another utility bill a month later that is recent, but written in Thai, stake rejected the utility bill again because it wasn't written in English, op then provided a digital utility bill written in English and recent, stake rejected again because it's a digital utility bill.

Then op asked stake the exact kind of utility bill they want, stake told op to provide a physical utility bill that is recent, written in English, signed and stamped.. Now op said it's impossible for him to find recent utility bill that is signed and stamped, written in English and also on physical form..

I hope this is understandable
You do realise that whatever you stated actually gives op the upper hand over Stake, don't you? Think! He literally submitted so many documents, but they kept changing their words again and again.

It's pretty damn clear that Stake is at fault here even though op did complicate things by using a VPN. They need to respond here to provide clarity.
858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 03, 2023, 03:41:02 PM
It's easier said than done to be frank. Many people swear to themselves to quit gambling no matter what only to be drawn back into it by succumbing to their temptations. This is the reality of the world of gambling.

This is why you tend to observe so many losers who waste away their lives trying to recover the losses that they incurred while gambling.
859  Economy / Gambling / Re: Impossible KYC Requirements - Stake.com - Withholding $6000 USD on: July 03, 2023, 07:10:35 AM
However, the initial email I received from Stake suggested they were concerned about multi accounts. I can prove that not to be the case. I can prove i am me. haha.
But it feels like they have decided the verdict from the very start regardless of what I send them in showing otherwise. Which is why 3+ months later. I am in this KYC loop hell.
This is the problem with VPN usage. Your account probably got connected to some other account using the same IP even though you technically operate a single account justifying whatever Stake is doing.

Also, it's weird that the Stake team hasn't replied in this thread yet despite it being created several days ago.

It was a damn funny, not just run-out but a meltdown after that as well. Plenty of drama so far which is suitable for spectators.
I was stunned to see Bairstow get stumped like that. It's a mistake on his part for sure and the Australians took full advantage of it. The loud booing didn't really affect them much though.

Atm everything is possible because Ben Stokes is there and he seems so changing gears so i won't count England out right now. Cummins should bowl against him more, it's a good match up as both of em are clutch players.
What an insane comeback by Stokes. It's been years since I saw him play like this. This man is single-handedly pushing his side towards victory.
