get yourself a decent psu then, something like corsair ax1200, or the evga supernova is a great psu

Lottocoin has been the best time I have had at mining, I like watching it just to see what size block came in.

Does anyone know what happened to the pool at http://lot.hackshardgaming.net/ there is no response from either lot or lot2?

Yeah its still under a ddos. This has been a 13 hour straight DDOS attack...

thats just unreal, what must that be costing them? jebus. someone must see this coin as a big threat. this just makes the coin stronger

I'm requesting a new ip from my provider. which I DOUBT they are going to give me.  This attack has been so long that I even went to sleep and its still going on.  The children behind this need a big ass ass whoopin.

*EDIT* All I can say right this moment is you better hope you had auto withdraw enabled.  I was threatened last time that if this happened they would cancel my server machine.  14 hour attacks cannot be Ignored.  I'm pretty much screwed unless they give me a new ip.  Yet again I find a way to rub a couple of nickles together and some child has to cost me my money.

very sorry to hear this dude, what about getting cloudflare ? this is how btc-e and other large sites combat ddos, they have price plans. it works by routing through them first via the dns records i think.

the specs are quoted by manufacture for a recommended powersupply, not for actual power usage used by the gpu's! this is the misconception about powersupplies

wattometers do not lie!

heres a screenshot of the onboard power meter on my axx1200i for 2x 6990s

https://www.dropbox.com/s/jkzvbi07wkhnzqh/psu.JPG

1500 watt psu is more than enough for 3x 6990s

According to someone it's my PSU

Which PSU did you use?

They are correct. Your GPU's require 750w each for minimum requirements (1000w for crossfire setup) which means your GPU's alone will need between 1750 - 2250w and then your sempron needs another 45w.

your wrong on specs,

my rig pulls 785watts from the wall according to me meter, 2x 6990s, so for a 3rd you can add about 350watts. so his psu is fine

in my opinion you need 16+ for 4 6990s

its all just luck really, I did nt get a block for 1.5 hours today, then i edited my own scantime, and found one in 5 mins, then nothing again. I find scantime 15 and expiry 30 the best
848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 x 6990 mining rig, need help on: December 19, 2013, 03:41:06 PM
could also be your cpu not providing enough bandwidth to run the gpus, bear in mind I am running on X79 with a I7 3970X

try scantime 2 and expiry 30

Getting unlucky solomining now... 3 rejectes in less than 10 minutes :/

use scan time 15 and expiry 15-30
Thanks! I'll try it Smiley
Going scan time 15 and expiry 30!

EDIT: Not getting any blocks found now Sad

this is because you have not found a block yet, or if you did it would have been a reject had you not set the scantime and expiry

wish cryptsy or coinedup or SOMEONE would pick this one up... Undecided

Cryptsy added 288 new coins today, some of which haven't even been developed yet, but they didn't add LOT Cry

That's because people have to fuck around and build their own lottocoind, instead of using one publicly available.
I'm telling this for few days now, to be serious - gotta go cross-platform. Oh, and there's mac too, right?

I can't say how many people in mining public has any development/techy background, but exchanges do need stable and out of the box solutions to plug coins in, and windows client only is not that.
We need cross platform or we won't go fast or far anywhere soon.

edit: and, yeah. General orientation for LOT value would be at least DOGE+ some% up as they both do come in same numbers, but this one does not have a grammar mistakes, dog pictures and such in Smiley

I also found some bugs in the Windows Wallet. I would love to help developing.
I will look into creating mac and linux binaries next.

I don't think cryptsy would really need precompiled binaries. But you are right. There should be more out of the box solutions.
We don't even have a good block explorer yet. The one hosted with coinbomb wasn't very helpful for me

That would be an awesome thing man. I have one lottocoind running on Ubuntu, but god knows how I managed to compile that, by luck I'd say.
I will try to create another block explorer with what I have now, maybe that also helps to spread ze word and get this thing rollin'!

go for it NOS Cheesy we need a proper block explorer

Is 2GB ram enough for 6 GPU's?

as a rule of thumb, i usually match the system ram with the gpu ram, so say 2 x 6990s is 8gb, so system ram min would be 8 gb
So that might be the problem..because starting CGminer can take like on minute before it actually does something?
And sometimes it doesn't start but the black CMD box stays empty.

Wow 4 x 6990 really? In windows?

My setup;

Asrock 970 Extreme 4
Sempron 145
CM Silent Pro 1500W
2GB RAM

that was under linux mind you, but i did have 3 running in windows at one point too.

it seems to me you need to get some more system ram, its dog cheap anyway
Did I buy the correct RAM?

Mushkin DIMM 2 GB DDR3-1066,

if your system booted it should be ok, check your mobo specs.

you could also try input the ram timings manually in the bios

another thing to note is the drivers,

make sure you do not install the ccc suite, you only need to driver and not the control centre.

use atiman uninstaller to remove the drivers if you have already installed the catalyst suite.

the latest 13.11 beta drivers work well
