841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How was last crypto bear market on: April 17, 2022, 12:21:10 PM

Maybe I can describe the bear market experience as a third world war like every other finance sectors ganged up to beat cryptos. Cryptos took a severe beating that most us newbies then thought that would be the end of cryptos. If anyone told me then that bitcoin falling from around $19,000 to below $3,200 was going to survive till date I would doubt it. But that is what bitcoin knows how to always do. It survives every beating. It was a horrible experience watching all my altcoins go to zero value. If that situation comes upon us now I will not panic to sell anything because I know bitcoin will survive it again.
842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Getting an NFT just got easy, didn't it? on: April 17, 2022, 04:58:11 AM
Which posts to write or not to write, I will decide for myself. Ok? If anyone can answer my question, I would appreciate it. Has anyone used such bots, if so, what is their use? And do they really work?

You may not write how you decide. There are rules to follow although I do not know if there is one that prevents newbies from posting link or advertising suspicious products because that is what I see in your post. If you insist on people answering your question on that or trying it, you have to know that those here are not going to trust a newbie account that is advertising a bot.
843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As big as binance in the future on: April 16, 2022, 09:23:01 PM
I would pay attention to DEX exchanges, they are more decentralized and convenient, just a few clicks and you can trade with one wallet, add liquidity, stake, farm and also play games and much more. These are such as: Uniswap, Sushiswap, PancakeSwap.

This is what we should be looking at and away from centralised exchanges. Decentralised exchanges can give Binance exchange a good competition in time to come and not another centralised exchange. Look at the so many exciting things we can do on DEX and yet we can still keep our privacy. It costs no KYC to have a Dex account. Trading is instant on them as orders get fill unlike in cex where we wait for orders to get filled. And in most of the centralised exchanges there are bots trading and giving fake trade volumes.
844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop in 2022 on: April 16, 2022, 07:41:38 PM
Before I join any airdrop, there are things I consider first before joining.
1. The amount allocated for the airdrop
2. The amount to be given to each participant.
3. The number of lucky participants that will win the airdrop at the end.
4. Time of distribution of the airdrop.
5. The airdrop task that is given. Is it based on a referral before you qualify for the airdrop or not
I can't waste my time doing airdrops that are worth a penny. In the end, you won't be among the lucky winners

All those points you listed are good to watch out for before joining in any airdrop giveaways. But I do not believe that even when the airdrop teams promise to meet all that, that they keep their promise. They like to change the rules after the tasks have been done and deadline passed and by then it would be too late for those who participated to do anything. I suffered this and that is why i do not like taking part in anything that is airdrop. No transparency and truth with the way those who handle it do it.
845  Economy / Economics / Re: What skills should I learn to get freelance work ..?? on: April 16, 2022, 06:16:46 PM
I guess it boils down as to what you really love, not what is the latest trend that will give you good money. If you love blockchain, so go for learning software languages. I will just tell you base on m experience, I used to do freelance work years ago about SEO and everything related to it. So I enroll on online courses while taking some projects so really understand and to deliver quality output to my clients.

It is true that it boils down to interest first before calculating how much you stand to make from it. Unless he does not have interest in writing articles anymore my advice to him will be for him to continue in that field of writing. He should look for more sites like fiverr and opera news that encourage people to apply for writing gigs. Writers on such sites make money writing from home. Programming is also good if he has the ability to cope learning it. Programming is an area that will continue to be in demand just like writing.
846  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold , Silver Or Crypto? on: April 16, 2022, 05:26:52 PM

It is cryptocurrency for me if I have to choose between the three options. I will pick a nice crypto like bitcoin, Ethereum or any other one I may think ok and buy for a long hold. This ones are taken to be reliable and will not scam or disappear. You can buy cryptocurrency without exposing your identity and privacy but am not sure you can buy gold or silver without doing that because you will need to have an account on a platform to do that. With crypto I can buy and store in a private wallet without going to an exchange.
847  Economy / Economics / Re: Anonymous hacker's group fight against Russia on: April 16, 2022, 04:58:05 PM
Besides that, if you look at this war, I don't think it's easy to achieve peace or even expect this war to end by means of diplomacy or peace talks.
If this continues, maybe this war will be prolonged and I hope that doesn't happen.
negotiations in war will not be easy and let's see what the two sides will do later

This war has gone too deep that the damage in properties and human lives lost will be difficult to forget. We thought this war would have been over in days but here it is. It is over a month now and there is no end to it in view. No amount of peace talk and diplomacy will make things return to normal even if the war ends today. The mindset of Ukrainians will not be happy with Putin forever and maybe with Russia also. It is sorrowful to see humans destroyed like animals because of political differences of this two leaders. And their children are not even fighting in the war
848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbie invest on: April 16, 2022, 04:09:43 PM
What's wrong with BNB itself? That's one of the best altcoins out there, is rather hold my BNB or trade one for BTC, BNB is a diamond on its own, you can keep it and find another means to buy BTC.

But for a long time BNB has been stuck around $350 to $450. Someone holding 1 BNB will not be benefiting from that even if they sell at $450. They will have to wait again for it to go down to $350 to buy another one and expect it to rise to $450 to be able to make profit from it. But that $350 in good altcoins will profit the person more. Although some of us can say that it is difficult to find good altcoins but when we get one they can make us better profit. Am not saying that BNB is not good. Am saying there are altcoins which can do better than it is doing.
849  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Hashnest is a scammer now on: April 16, 2022, 02:46:42 PM

That is big capital you lost there. 0.5 btc is over $20,000 at the current price and it is not funny losing that kind of money. When I read that people invest that big online i feel they are taking unnecessary risks because that amount can be easily lost and that is what we have seen here too.

There is always a way to force them pay you back but just that process is cumbersome which might lose money the more again.

That is the problem and that makes it look like victims do not want to go on chasing those who scam them. They do not want to waste money or be scammed again by those who will promise to help them catch the scammers but in true sense of it are only after their money too.
850  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: April 16, 2022, 02:16:52 PM
That is parallel market rate or black market which is always higher if compared to CBN rate.

I used CBN rate for it which is the official rate: https://www.cbn.gov.ng/rates/exchratebycurrency.asp

The CBN rate weh person no fit buy at, that one na rate? We deh talk of what is real no be one political talk and deceit. Banks plaster that rate for their banking halls but them no deh sell at that rate, na wetin we go call that one, no be wayo be that? CBN deh use am deh deceive outsiders so them go believe say our naira carry small weight. Even Emefiele no go exchange his own dollar at that rate self.

Nigerian buyers and sellers on p2p crypto exchanges use parallel rate.
And that is the real price. Na the market deh decide price and no bi one written figure somewhere.
851  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: April 15, 2022, 08:32:39 PM
1 USD in 2022 equals to 414.03 naira (presently)

But me and you know say no be the real exchange rate for dollar and naira be that as of today. One dollar deh exchange for 590 as of today. Abi una deh exchange una bitcoin for N414?

Obob anybody wey don borrow money from mobile loan apps, do easy-buy or any of those service wey they ask for permission to your contact and media storage before them grant your request no suppose dey talk privacy.

Na better talk you give us here. All of us weh deh scream privacy this and privacy that go don dirty our hands and exposed our personal information anyhow o. This thing hard to maintain.
852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba dump coming? on: April 15, 2022, 07:33:56 PM
Something deep down is telling me that the reason why whales are buying Shina inu for the past months is because of Robinhood listing, how sure are they that Shiba will be listed on Robinhood? Anyway, now I think a bigger Shiba dump is in motion because once the expected gains from this listing isn't pure or strong there will be a massive dump, am I wrong or right.

Do you have any privileged information on what you are saying or you are only talking in speculation because the Shiba inu price went up a few days ago after its listing on Robinhood and then you think it will crash too? Even if it crashes it does not mean it will dump forever or that it will be its end.

Could the whales be thinking about changing the course of this project?

This is more like the Shiba Inu team is the one advancing the course and change of the project and not whales. These changes will make Shiba big in the future.
853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounties dead? on: April 15, 2022, 05:56:19 PM
These days, bounties don't pay; plenty of individuals use many accounts to earn several incentives, and most of the projects they launch these days are mostly scams or projects with no future. Nonetheless, we participate to try our luck because no one knows when or how they will succeed in life.

Even those who enrol many accounts in bounties are also breaking the rule here.

And most times we run out of luck when we try because this projects end up scamming us. They waste our time for weeks and thereafter still do not pay us. I have been scammed alot by projects refusing to pay. It is even bad since they end up getting away with it. After many scam experiences I now take my time in picking bounties I apply to. I do not have to work for others to enjoy my sweat.

According to 94.1 FM, Nigeria will be carrying out Censor's next year April 2023.
This Censor's was last done in the year 2006, A short and first one will be done in June immediately political representatives/parties are done with them various primaries election.

I go tell you say Census na the last thing weh deh anybody mind now self. Even insecurity no go make the thing succeed if them try am. How them want to execute the thing for north. Who want to die? Even for south east insecurity don deh increase on daily now. Nowhere deh secured for 9ja again and we say we get president? But which station be 94.1 FM. Na Wazobia FM, Rivers? You forget say no be only one station get that dial for the country.
855  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: April 15, 2022, 05:34:01 AM
E be like our own version of crypto for Africa different o, we no value our privacy and e no concern us whether dem sell our data or not. Everyday for beginners and help board we dey see the kinds of o_e_l_e_o dey create topics about privacy but we no care.

E come be like na our lack of concern self come make the thing worse. We no too put body for the privacy matter once we need anything. We just want to comply to whatever verifications any exchange bring out. We go say since we don already deh there e no make any difference to not comply. No be say we no know all this things.

Even for here either Coyster or BIT-BENDER don talkam say before before when you talk bitcoin we talk privacy and other things, like e be like Bitcoin of nowadays no hard again.

I remember those years well self. It was very easy that time to run trades on exchanges. Just email and password and you are good to go and trade. This thing don deh hard now and most us no sabi how to run this thing for decentralised exchanges na him make.
856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba made its way to Robinhood on: April 14, 2022, 04:45:15 PM
If you see how much money is needed for shiba to rise price you can see that price won't go up too much in future since we are speaking about a lot of money.

This was how we thought about Dogecoin too in the past and alot of us did not buy to hold it. But today we know how Dogecoin rose to conquer so many resistance and touched 70 cents. You can not know what cryptos are capable of until it happens. Buy Shiba now and hold to avoid any regrets of skipping it today. The price is very affordable today when we remember that it once got to 0.00008+

Lack of proper financial services boosts crypto ownership in Nigeria, says report.
Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/lack-of-proper-financial-services-boosts-crypto-ownership-in-nigeria-says-report.

Abi na because of the opposite to a financial free life through making money from the industry dey drive Nigerians into the industry.

Na this one here be the main reason for me o. Na because of to hold body and see money make alot of us enter cryptocurrency as na investment opportunity we see am as. Nothing concern me with whether banks deh bleep or not to enter cryptos and I believe na the same way with many Nigerians. Jobs no deh and to survive na him make many people find themselves for cryptos and forex.

I like this statistics there weh talk say "According to the report, 35% of the Nigerian population aged 18 to 60 — or 33.4 million people — have owned or traded cryptocurrencies during the last six months." That one shows how Nigerians havr embraced cryptos to escape poverty.
858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounties dead? on: April 13, 2022, 04:34:16 PM
I see your point, but it also feels like the crowd has moved away - there were tons of hyped scam projects in 2018 - and yet there were a lot of support. It feels like crypto fans have changed the platform and here bounties are only crowded by  fake account

The crowd has moved as you have noticed and that is not just because the projects are scams, we know alot of them are scams, but because most projects do not pay their bounty hunters at all. These new projects now run bounty campaigns and pay with altcoins instead of paying with bitcoin as it was in the 2018 era you mentioned. No one will like to stay for a project that does not pay him. I have a bounty I did here that ended early this year but till today the project has not paid. They are jumping from one story to the other on why they have not yet distributed the token rewards.

You guys type in pidgin effortlessly lol, i am impressed. not sure i can emulate that hahah.

The thing no hard, na make you keep emulating how to write am and before you know it you don become one professor for pidgin matter.

The way this Nigerian politicians they do self they funy me, imagine these old set of people still want to keep more money for their children because I did not see it as they Wan lead us

In a way I no deh blame this old men o because na the youth weh no know them worth deh give those old men free hand. Na see finish e bi. This youths weh like money pass anything for this life deh give them the morale to deh ride them. Imagine as them deh ginger an old man weh deh wet himself for public to run for presidency only because he is throwing cash give them. Make them continue. The hardship weh Buhari don show us na small compared to wetin Amaechi, Tinubu or Osinbajo go do us.
860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Discussion Thread on: April 13, 2022, 10:44:52 AM
It was a drab draw in the Nigeria Professional Football League outstanding game today and i am sure neither of the team supporters are pleased with the outing from the team today.

You captioned it well. It was indeed a drab game. Fans of Remo Stars should be happy because their team did well by picking a point from the host in far away east. The last time Heartland played guests to Remo, the host made sure the Naze millionaires were well tortured and humiliated by 3 unreplied goals on December 26th. Remo dropped a point in that match which is like a winning. Remo will face a tougher opposition in their next match with Nasarawa Utd and I see them losing to Nasarawa Utd.
