I guess my resignation is off unless this miraculously turns around and breaks ATH.

It dropped because the rise before it was a bulltrap. And it's only down what 10-20%? Thats nothing. It was a miracle it stopped here.

It can be somehow because bitcoins can provide us money because by just simply buying bitcoins the value can either grow up or fall down so it can really end the world poverty if the people will pursue this thing. Because there are some jobs in here that dp no discriminate because the identity is secured like in this forum no matter what you are no matter what you can do as long as you have an internet connection you can easily gain money in this but just like any things all have exemptions. That is very silly. The fact that bitcoin rallies and makes money for traders does absolutely nothing for world poverty. Those in poverty are not doing trading, buying bitcoins, do not have a computer or an internet connection, cannot afford the tx fees or anything about bitcoin. Even IF they were somehow able to get into it eventually the price would start declining and then they are poor again. And it would have been middle/upper class bitcoiners getting rich off of the last dollar of poor people - how ethical. Bitcoin isn't creating any money. It's a zero sum game (MINUS electricity) where money is being redistributed from investor to investor to trader. That means eventually it reaches a saturation point and whoever gets in last loses. Wall street is already getting in, and these poor people would be last, meaning you are giving money from poor people to wall street. Numbers moving around in a computer is not putting food on billions of tables. We need to ACTUALLY solve the world's problems somehow. Bitcoin could help slightly by solving world corruption, and maybe by providing banking services for the unbanked, but it wouldnt be because poor people 'got on the train' and bought low and sold high.

You are living on land where you benefit from public services such as military protection, bomb shields, police, prisons, fire department, roads, illumination, city planning and maintenance, emergency medical services, weather services, disaster relief, schools, space exploration, welfare, research scientists and intelligence agencies that create things like bitcoin, and more.
You probably take most of such for granted and would not survive very long without it. However if you feel you are up for it, you would need to move off the land in order for it to be fair for you to not pay for it.

So much for the internet of money. Maybe next time.

btc goes up, alts go down. btc goes down, alts go down. just stay out of alts...

I never sell all and always make up whatever I sell by trading altcoins. I was down to like 15% of my coins in October and made it all back.

im still waiting for ETH to correct to $50

Bitcoin is only ending poverty for tech people and amateur traders or moving them from the middle class to the upper class. The idea that it's helping starving kids in Africa is a myth.

I tried to warn you that you weren't posting enough memes and after that the memes failed to increase significantly.

I have a brother who keeps asking me to buy crypto. Not any particular cryptos that he knows anything about at all - strictly whatever crypto has risen 1000% in the past week and is at its peak. He wanted to buy bitcoin at $20,000, then litecoin at $350, then bitcoin cash at $5000, then ripple at $3. I had to keep saying no. I asked what he would do if they dropped and he said he would hold no matter what. Then when bitcoin dropped to $11,000, I urgently told him that THIS was the time to buy. But he wouldn't buy then. I asked him 'if you were going to buy at 20,000 and hold no matter what, then why not twice as many coins for 10,000?'. He said he was too scared of all the news (the FUD). I now use this brother as a reverse indicator for whatever to do with my trades.
Someone at my office said 'no bitcoin wasnt a good buy at $5 but now that's its risen to $20,000, this is definitely the time to buy". I asked him what changed his mind. He says "because it's risen to $20,000" and "i dont know i just have this feeling now. this is it". I asked him why it wasnt a good buy at $5 - "well nobody knew about it then and it wasnt in the news" ... ... 20 other people in my office were buying at $20,000 also, but I never heard a damn thing about bitcoin in there any time before then, and this was a tech company.
What really gets my blood boiliong though is when someone thinks bitcoin is a company and talks about how many shares they own and who the CEO is and thinks the government can shut it down.

I got a call last spring from an old acquaintance I hadn't seen for almost 10 years and I told him about my involvement in Bitcoin, which he hadn't heard of.
Last week he called me up to ask for help to buy "Bitcoin" Cash and "Bitcoin" Gold. I tried to explain that he shouldn't be deceived by the names and that neither one was really Bitcoin.
His response was that Bitcoin costs too much and he couldn't afford it. I then tried to explain that each bitcoin could be split into 100 million satoshis.
His response to that was that Bitcoin had already increased in value and he wanted to be in on the ground floor of the next big cryptocurrency.
Sigh.
That's actually smart. Bitcoin doesn't have anywhere left to go except maybe another 10 or 100x increase in value. Maybe he wants to be in on the next 1,000,000x increase. They're happening every month.

The chart kind of looks like it could go up, but the books are still weak meaning there isn't a bunch of new fiat coming into the exchanges like there used to be so it's probably just going to be more sideways.

But what if the Earth is really flat and then BCH is adopted in place of BTC

Trading USD is very difficult. Its much easier to trade an altcoin, unless you're predicting some kind of major crash (which are hard to predict).

zuckerberg is studying blockchain tech in order to make the facebook network operate faster. That is all. Nothing to do with accepting cryptocurrencies

bitcoin is going to die in a fiery doom of flaming forks but nobody knows when. it could be in years or decades and reach $100K before that happens
