I would suggest to invest in Bitcoin. Why experiment with alt coins when The Coin is perfectly good choice. I also like to think how spreading the funds is always good solution. You can invest major of that thousand in bitcoin and maybe ethereum, and some smaller amount on few
altcoins ( ripple, neo iota...).

Sadly, I haven't seen any limitations on the period an ICO can last. This is very bad because most projects especially scam projects utilize this to exploit more on gullible investors.
Big projects are considered potential, there are signs of more scam and this has a great impact on investors. I think it will be very difficult to stop this because all ICO projects always require investors so much that investors feel very depressed. There are no benefits from panic sell because we cannot make any profits. But in reality, there are many people still panic especially when the price is down. Although they have skills in trading, for some people, panic still there and makes them confused about what they need to do. I have those experience in the past, and it makes me getting lost, but then I realize that I should solve my problem frpm the panic sell. So I start to learn to control myself and slowly, I can prevent from being panic.
When the market stabilizes, we can get strong psychology and easily earn profit from trading but when the market has strong fluctuations, our psychology will easily go down and the panic sale will happen. I think this always happens in everyone so we don't need to worry much when that happens. I personally control this by using the trading tool to analyze before selling any coins i hold as it will help you a lot in important decisions. |

Agree with you, we can't stamp this project as scam but few weeks ago they sudden disappeared and that's why members were bit panic. I received notification from athero official group that is locked, admin said in message he will drop latest news related project in few minutes. Now let's see what they will announce hope so news will be good for all.  There is no other way but to wait. This project has been silent for the past few weeks and has not had any updates during this period. This may be a good thing or a bad thing because if they don't come back, the investor will have a lot of difficulties and we will never be able to see the THO listed in other exchanges than Mercatox. Now I have contacted directly in many different ways but they still have not answered any of my questions which makes me feel very worried. |

I'm sure that later Binance, Bittrex and OKEX will be the best IEO platform. These three exchanges have a lot of users, so it is normal if new projects in collaboration with the three exchanges have a greater chance of success
For me IDAX projects look pretty good: the first one was failed after listing, but the second has x5 after IEO. Also new IEO (ZeroBank) looks very promising. It is still not certain whether this project is really better than other projects. I think Zerobank is being mentioned a lot in recent times but the reliability of this project is still very low compared to the IEO projects that Binance listed. I personally believe that if Zerobank can succeed in contacting other exchanges, the opportunity to earn profits will be huge and we should consider at this time. |

What is this old thread?  Everybody knows Binance is the go-to place for altcoins. It has the largest trading volume of all altcoin-inclusive exchanges. Bittrex is what? Number 30 something? The ranking in coinmarketcap is not an issue of concern because most exchanges use BOT to increase trading volume and Binance is among them. Bittrex can be in the top 30 but it has real trading volume and this is the most prestigious exchange used by many people. Of course it may not be possible to compare Binance but if there is a real trading volume ranking, Bittrex may be in second place. |

I'm yet to resume full time work in crypto and so I have not got to know most of the new projects. However, I'm not actually expecting much from any new projects because I saw several good and potential projects in 2018 which never saw the day of light. Others have lost their values so miserably.
Everything is very difficult at this time and very few projects can make us earn good profits. Investing in old coins can make you feel safer but it will depend greatly on the value of Bitcoin and the volatility of this market. I personally will not choose to invest in any penny this year and only invest in IEO on large exchanges because this will be a new trend this year. |

Anybody will agree with me that cryptocurrency prices are very volatile but applying volatility in trading is just useless for me. Being fast in trading is not good I think since you don't know what are the movements of different coins and yeah there are some indicators but they are not 100% reliable.
I think fast trading gives more stress to the trader since you need to watch every single coin in the exchange you are using and wait for it to rise again for even around 1-2%. If you can execute many short term trades in a day then it gives you more profit but sometimes, its better if you hodl a coin.
Getting 1% -2% of the profit per day is really difficult and not everyone can do it. Most people only buy in bulk and sell when prices have increased slightly and are not interested in news of this market. This is really dangerous because Cryptocurrency is still in a declining period and any investment will make you have a lot of psychology because a slight panic will make the price drop very quickly in a short time |

It is a well known fact that bounty hunters are likened to promotional arm of any ico projects.
They create awareness about these projects and get paid for their jobs.
So now that IEO seems to be the trend ...... Binance has carried out 2 successful IEO on it's platform and Bittrex did theirs today.
I have come to realize that none of this projects conducted any bounty campaigns.
If IEO eventually beats ICOs, that would mean the extinction of bounty campaigns.
Should bounty hunters be worried over this?
Why are this projects not conducting bounty campaigns?

I don't think this will happen. They still need communities to develop projects and bonuses are the only place where they can find their investors. I believe that the negligence of ICO is only temporary because the market is in a very difficult stage, making investors not interested in new ICO projects. You should make a fundamental analysis bro so that you can easily find a coin that will work fine on your strategy. Actually mostly coin is good to hold for long run especially for 1 year wherein enough time to hold in my opinion . But of course must choose those legit coin and have a bright future to assure there's a profits on your basket after 1 year. Avoid buying cheap coin especially if It's uncertain because mostly turn to shitcoin when there's a problem in the market.
Choosing new currencies and quality is the best solution at this time. If they have a good development team and a stable community then the price increase will happen very soon but if the project shows that underdevelopment it is best to stay away from it as soon as possible. This market has more than 2000 coins and a good coin rating can be very difficult at this stage so be careful |

i personally don't like so much these new ieo they seem to me the bad copy of the sto and the ico, with only more the obligation to invest through exchange (therefore kyc obligation) the only ones that will gain will be the exchanges that will offer them...
The best IEO should only appear in large exchanges. I think Binance, Okex, Huobi, Bittrex should be exchanges that investors care about because the opportunity to earn profits will be higher. I believe that this trend will last for a very long time and can replace all ICO projects because ICO in the eyes of investors is just a lie. |

I think many new exchanges want to follow successfullly of Binance, just less than 1 years Binance become the biggest crypto exchange in the world and they make amillion dolar. Every exchange will be offer benefits to attrack new users, and that mean will be more competition on the market. More.exchange also mean more new people will join this crypto community.
