841  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BTCC Introduces New Lunar New Year Physical Bitcoin Set on: January 07, 2017, 11:37:57 PM
has anyone ordered and received their set yet?

Orders should have started shipping on January 3rd so I'd expect some people may have got theirs already.

If the 25BTC coin is not sold before BTC hits $1000......the holo gets it!  Grin

Nearly  Grin

Actually, i thought about it for less than a minute, mid-moon, and was also thankful for the 8 hour trip needed, to have it in my hands!

LOL saved by the dump!

844  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] 10x Denarium Limited Edition 1 BTC Silver Coin with a Gold Finish on: January 07, 2017, 11:32:18 PM
So I guess the remaining 80 coins will be available on the website soon? Any ETA?

The coins will be up at Denarium.com as soon as we have assembled enough for quick shipping. Current estimate is within 2 weeks. That will be announced properly when it's time.

My estimate for the website price is 199,90 € per coin but this is not locked in yet.

I see the patinated coin at 179 € and the silver at 129 €. Does this coin cost that much more to produce? There's also the limited number of these new coins.

In my opinion a price between the two above may attract more buyers.

I only see perfectly stamped gold bullion, is there a place that sells rough ones like the ones for sale here?

848  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Serious] How long does the paper in a casascius stay legible? on: January 07, 2017, 09:58:53 PM
I would imagine that if left untouched and out of direct sunlight the private key on the back would be legible for decades, no?

I had the same impression but others on here may know more.

Great looking coin, I think there was another sold recently and it was #3 but not as high as 2.8BTC.
It also came with the wooden box. I suggest you add more pics including the box so people have a better idea of the whole package.

Good luck with the sale!

854  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Kialara Physical Bitcoins/HAVEN: Update on: January 06, 2017, 05:49:41 AM
May I ask how do you give out the lower numbers of new Kialaras?

First people to order get lower numbers?

What if someone buys 10 in one order, will they be consecutive numbers or random?

I rarely ship consecutive serials. Instead I try to divide up the lower serials between multiple orders. So for most buyers who purchased QTY 3 for example, I might send them #20, 50, 80. For serials 02 - 10 - I tend to include these in the larger orders from long-time customers. For this latest release a customer ordered QTY 15 for example, and they received a handful of low serials in return. (this customer frequents this site if they care to come forward) Others in this room purchased QTY 7, 9, 10, etc.

I try not to base the serials I ship strictly on the time of purchase, as mailchimp tends to deliver emails to different users over a window of time. But if you order early you will most certainly receive lower serial pieces than someone who orders after you.

If a customer has ordered QTY 5 of every release, I'll remember this and if they didn't get a low serial on one release, I'll try to make sure they do on the next.

It's not a perfect science. I value every customer and I do my best to try to please everyone. I keep zero of the low serials for myself. I planned to keep the 01's of the 1BTC Silver and Golds, but ended up shipping them to some VIP's.

Most importantly of all, I try to do what's in the best interest for the future value of my works, because then everyone wins.

Thanks for taking the time to explain this, it's nice to know how lower serials are distributed. And they way you do it, makes perfect sense for yourself and customers.

856  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION]Crypto Imperator .999 Gold 1/2 Troy Oz 1 BTC Coin Number #1 LAST on: January 06, 2017, 05:44:08 AM
So is this the last coin produced by Crypto Imperator or are we going to see more coming?

So far that seems to be the case... CI said they're open to private mintages... It's up to them I guess

Was hoping he/them would change their mind.
Some really nice coins from CI!

I guess: c'est la vie!

Hello.
I am writing the blockchain for Aeternity.
Here is my github https://github.com/zack-bitcoin
You can see my work on Aeternity, and on other projects I have done.

People keep asking about "escrow". I know what that word means, but I don't know what they mean in this context.
Is this about the token sale?

People are worried to put their money into a project that wont exist for a year.
I feel the same way. I haven't invested in any projects like this.
I regret my decision not to invest in the Ethereum crowdsale, or the Augur crowdsale.

My motivation to work on blockchain technology is from agorism.
I think that the most effective way to improve the world is to [censored].
Regardless of how successful Aeternity is, I will keep working on this technology.

Hey Zack, welcome to Bitcointalk Smiley
It does make a difference having team members joining the discussion and seen you are the one building Aeternity, one more reason to have you here.

Would be great to have other team members too.

Just curious what did you mean with [censored] above?
Bitcointalk is ok to express your feelings  Smiley

Also are you the main developer on the team? Are there others helping you out?
Sounds like a massive task to undertake on your own.

Finally yes escrow is to do with the token sale, people are curious if funds raised are going to be under escrow, for instance, they get released only after certain milestones are accomplished.
I guess it's a little too early for these details as I haven't seen any token sale info yet.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Most blockchain projects out there, including major ones, did take a year or more to deliver their networks, software, etc.
Aeternity sounds interesting so far, the state channels working to lighten up the load on its blockchain as well as making it scalable is something I haven't seen before.

As more info becomes available about what's next and the token sale we can all look at it more closely and evaluate.
In the meantime I'll have a go at the testnet, not too technical here, but I'm not GitHub shy either Wink
