I would not underestimate the manpower, money, time or resources available to the government.
meaning they have technologies far beyond our comprehension, so really who's to say that they can't or can.

Here is one I discovered is in pre release called paybox
I registered and filled in one of their surveys. When I got to the question that said "Did you make any payments using a payment system such as PayPal?" I was looking forward to ticking the "other" box and linking to Bitcoin.

Unfortunately, the only option it gave me at that point was yes/no.

There should be a suggestion survey there for suggested features. Just fill out you want them to accept bitcoin as a payment method.

Already done my friend  Wink

Why don't you tell us about your referral link behind that bit.ly ? ...

You can use mine if you like  Wink http://www.paybox.me/r/ivest

Rather than trying to get the large established payment processors such as paypal to accept bitcoin we should focus on ones that are coming to market as they might accept bitcoin in order to get more customers.

Here is one I discovered is in pre release called paybox - http://bit.ly/cLiagE

Hmm, why does this look like a scam to get you to fill surveys and they get paid for it? I mean, $50 for anyone + $5 a day + $5 per referrel *but* the $ does not mean dollar, it is just a virtual representation of nothing. Sure, bitcoins are nothing too, but these guys do specify you can't exchange these for anything, nor will you be able to anytime soon. Also, they have web developers on call if something is messy with the site, but no code developer to help if the internal transfer is not working? wtf? Are they not in development?

I think its because they are in pre launch and testing mode. I thought it might be good to contact developers of new products before they came to the market.

I fully understand that, I know what it means to be in pre launch mode, but I'm just collecting the pieces... why the surveys to keep the account active? And more to the point, why only webdevelopers are available for feedback from early birds? Just makes no sense to me, really, but I'm a known and registered paranoid, guess I could be searching for something to complain about.

The surveys are applicable to paybox developments and are intended for paybox users to give their ideas, suggestions and feedback about paybox services. You don't have to complete any surveys if you don't want to but you will still earn, they are paying you to be active on the site and to login each day and to refer other to earn. So far the developments are going good they have very informative road map which discloses the latest developments and updates associated paybox and they also send out regular updates of their latest features integrated into their platform. Paybox have now implemented member to member transfers into their system so now all earlybird users are able to transfer funds to one and another. Paybox will roll out more features over the coming weeks and months.
844  Other / Off-topic / New Environmental Campaign Glorifies Eco-Fascism on: October 05, 2010, 12:07:15 PM
The people behind the “10:10″ campaign, a movement encouraging people to reduce their carbon consumption by 10 percent in 2010, have been forced to pull their controversial new advertisement from the internet after widespread public outcry. The gruesome 4-minute ad depicts global warming skeptics being literally blown to pieces after their tree-hugging friends insist they’re under “no pressure” to modify their carbon consumption.

Where can one exchange LRUSD for USD, with low fees?  I already got burned by http://www.alertexchanger.com/ so I am skeptical of exchangers.

Try https://www.aurumxchange.com or http://www.astraexchange.com/

Well, they haven't so far, but their terms of service allow them to do so any time they want.  See above.

858  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BitBank? on: September 25, 2010, 12:46:15 AM
A loan service could be a good idea, but of course you would need
various verification process in place to ensure it could actually work,
but i think a bitbank is a very good idea and linked with a physical card would be gold,
i think the bit bank could offer CD's to investors, for those looking to earn a return
on their BTC deposit.
859  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Programmer Services for Bitcoins on: September 24, 2010, 07:11:03 PM
Will send you an email about some work.
