I notice your FinCen license only is good for Oregon...
Are all sales within the state?
Or do you conduct business outside/across state lines?

Hi Minerjones, you can feel free to call me on the phone if you like. We are in weekly contact with FinCen. 541-488-4312.

Bitcoin and this community have really changed over the years.

There have been too many sad stories in this space of people losing their funds to unscrupulous actors.  Many examples right here in the collectables section, so now when a rogue newcomer shows up out of nowhere looking to be the custodian of 10's or 100's of thousands of USD in value we are a bit weary.

I get it.  Although I would point to the treatment of those who are not unscrupulous actors (this thread being a good example) as a reason why there are are so many scams in this section.  Being honest comes with constant attacks from those who are not, and the unscrupulous actors and their alt accounts are now the majority as a result of chasing away the honest coin makers (Casascius, Lealana, now Bobby Lee).  This trend continues to get worse, and the unscrupulous actors are spreading to once respected members as well as other sections of the forum.  I only hope at some point the community stops thinking about how to make a quick buck off someone else, and starts thinking about what is the best way to take advantage of Bitcoin tech to create innovative products with genuine blockchain use cases.
Bobby is a very solid guy and genuine at heart. I trust him with anything. I read the history on the conversations and I am shocked that he was so mistreated. There is no need for such aggression.

I trust Bobby 100% plus 3.7%, I think that is the case for almost everyone here.  I think the problems stemmed from a lack of communication regarding the shipping debacle as well as a lack of clarity in the relationship/responsibilities between the parties of BTCC, BTCC Mint, Bobby Lee, and Rogue Bitcoin.  If those could be clearly spelled out at some point it would be a huge help.

I couldn't agree more.

This whole thread of uncertainty etc, could have been avoided by being more transparent - could have been a few lines from Bobby and done.

I dont believe Bobby is untrustworthy in anyway shape or form, the lack of communication led to what we see here, nothing else.

Thanks!

I didn't bought this picture to know whats on your website, i won it at your giveaway and there is nothing about the international winners should pay fees.
I don't understand, consider im winner and owner of this picture, how you can withdraw something that's not yours anymore ?
I mean that's the point of the giveaways right ? Once its won its now to the new owner?
I don't see also a problem to ship it to someone else after he pay the shipping costs?
You had no problem for me to re-sell it because i can't pay the customs fees but you have problem to re-send it to someone because i can't pick it?
We are friendly community and shit happens like the customs...
Understand my problem same as im understanding that im not receiving a free item in the full meaning of the word.

Dude, you got a free gift, customs is customs and has charged fees for many many years now, its not Frank's responsibility to inform anyone on a FREE giveaway that they need to do their due diligence and see what their specific country does as far as import tax.

Plus it's kind of a slap in the face for you to assume Frank would be responsible for anything other than him sending you the FREE GIFT.

If you can't pay for the customs fees, thats not really his problem, as you didnt pay for anything.

Also, its unfair to simply assume that Frank would take responsibility to deal with customs on your behalf without even talking to him first and create an auction thread, looping him in as part of the deal where you clearly state:
Quote
The shipping will be from frankbitcoin because the customs will return the picture to him.
Consider it will be shipped from frankbitcoin ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1208052 ) if you don't trust his feedback we can always use escrow.
The best part will be if someone from US like it because there won't be any taxes from him.

kind of a ballsy move dont you think?

I wouldn't hold Frank responsible for anything at this point relating to this thread. The man even offered to re-draw for a new winner (which he doesnt have to by the way)

I'd suggest you check yourself and your posting etiquette first.

thanks!
Consider that's Frank's thread, he's the one who should inform everyone and not me in special.
We all should be informed whats next.
Why he should re-draw for new winner consider there is already a winner and that's me ? You want your shot ? Well you had your chance.
I check myself every time before i post or say something.
Once you want to offer a real free giveaway it should be free.
Once someone won something its his.

The man said in his OP:
Quote
We will cover shipping cost, as well - yes, even if you are international.  This is completely free.

So he paid for shipping - internationally even, kept up his end of his FREE bargain lol and you won a free gift, but refuse to pay the customs fee, which is not anyones responsibility but your own, do you see the issue with your statements here?

you sound foolish.

I am not upset i didn't win the FREE gift, lol

If I did win id say thank you very much and be on my way, as im sure anyone else who won would have and not come back to the Gift giver and say - I can't pay customs, sell this for me, etc?
im surprised you are even continuing in this conversation.

Thanks!

Every customer is unhappy with this series and what does BTCC ? -> A solution ? No

First of all, open the shop again to sell other common Coins with a high premium to disappoint the remaining customers...

Customer Support in perfection !

There was an auction held for the first 100 coins both 1.0 and 0.1 bitcoin and I have not seen any complaints about the first hundred coins, check the thread for yourself. The coins I won at auction were fine, no problems.

I had 2 of my auction coins graded at ANACS just to see.... MS63 and MS68. ... Not too impressive, IMO... YMMV obviously... Tongue

Does it even deserve the MS63 is the real question.

Thanks.

 Huh

I am truly sorry to hear that you're very disappointed about the metallic qualities of the 2018 Titanium coins. Your best solution is to reach out to BTCC Mint customer support to ask for a full refund or replacement.

https://www.btcc.com/contact      <---- click
https://mint.btcc.com/contact    <---- click

it really is just a mess all around. its so very hard to give the benefit of the doubt here.

Very good point.  Have you reached out via PM to their BTCC account?  I'd be curious to know how the promised refunds are going to take place.

I am as well.  I guess a couple people are waiting for that.  To be honest i am still confused if bobby isnt an employee, who at btcc (who now owns the mining operation), has acess to the keys.  There is a lot of btc in the balance and its not unreasonable to know that.  Just confused how this all went down.  That being said i wont return my coins and even if i did want to it seems it will probably be more of a hassle than just peeling them and selling the unloaded coin.  Hope for everyones sake this all works out well, we dont need another debacle in the physical coin world.  We are super niche as it is.  BTCC i hope you come through and do the right thing

Hi wheelz1200,

Thank you for your feedback, I believe Bobby has explained and clarified the confusions you raised to buckrogers and minerjones's post which you can refer to floor #115 & #121. Also, you can always contact BTCC Mint Team by sending email to mint-support@btcc.com if you have any other question and need any assistance, thank you.

Regards,

BTCC_Official

Appreciate the response but no it isnt clear to me after bobbys comments.  This wasnt for bobby, i guess more on your end.  If you, btcc, bought the company from bobby then you are now the sole responsible party for the mining operating in which the coins that are loaded onto the coins that bobby was the face for.  Bobby guaranteed private key security, but how can he do that if he doesnt have a position in the company that mines the blocks to begin with.  Truely im confused, im not trying to beat a dead horse i just dont understand the complete process of how bobby is involved and your, btcc's, responsibility in this.

Edit: fwiw i own btcc coins, not looking to return them, just trying to understand who i trusted with my bits.  Right now i dont know if its on bobby or btcc and who has/had access to the private keys which the coins were built with

It seems like not such a big deal to clarify, unless something is off?

@BTCC_Official, questions were presented,  Bobby replied to most of them, not BTCC_Official, so you can see the confusion and lack of solid answers here, right?

It can easily be cleared up with the facts, from the questions being asked above. I'm not sure why this is a burden or undisclosed at this stage?

Thanks!

To all forum members here, especially to people following this thread:

I see that some people have taken to put "Negative Trust" on my personal profile, "bobbyclee".
I do not think that's fair, especially now that I have give straight forward answers to all of your good questions above.

If this community does not trust me and does not value my comments, insights, and posts, then I can pull back and refrain from interacting in this public forum.

However, if you DO trust me and DO value my participation, then please restore my trust, and put in some "Positive Trust" under my current personal account.  Otherwise, if my profile stays at Negative Trust, then this will be my last post.

(Yes, you're essentially voting with your actions, by choosing to ignore and not trust me, and telling others to not trust me.)

All of you can help.

By the way, if you lift my Trust Rating, I will return a favor to this community and participate in the World Crypto Conference in Las Vegas on October 31 this year, and give a very special keynote speech about Physical Bitcoins, and my own personal journey as a coin maker for BTCC Mint collectibles.  I promise to share some great insights, so hope that many of you can attend, and looking forward to meeting you all in person.

I ask for LOVE, and not HATE.   Smiley

Peace.
Bobby

Your Negative trust has been removed you can reply now.

thanks!

Before this thread gets too buried.

What is the status of anyone reaching out to BTCC and Bobby for some sort of resolution, compensation or otherwise?

@bobbyclee it would be great if you could actually chime in here to let all your customers know what you have in mind.

Thanks!

--edit: cheap titanium? ---garbage!

@bobbyclee : if you are seeking advice on what you should do :
BTCC should reimburse anything over peel value and shipping IMO if they want to continue doing any business.

Unfortunately, as explained in a previous post 1-2 years ago, there are real disadvantages when comparing Titanium coins to other traditional coins made of previous metals, like Gold and Silver, which really are FINE quality. In comparison, Titanium is a rough industrial metal, and we tell our customers that you will not get the same quality and polish as in Gold and Silver coins.  I'm sorry, but that's just the reality.

thanks,
Bobby

I see and understand the different metal qualities. But let's put that aside for a moment and assume all metals being equal, what the hell happened to the packaging? if I or anyone were to order coins from any reputable mint they would come sealed properly and usually in a mint tube, never in a million years would we receive a stack of coins loose in bubble wrap? and if so, that mint would be out of business before long, would you not agree?

Plus you seem to think this is limited to only the rolls of tenths? not sure why that is? I have coins that came in the very nice Leatherette cases, where the coin itself looks just as bad as some of the loose ones, as if BTCC had a coin tossing contest pre-shipping? See the pic above which is a 1 BTC coin that arrived in the Leatherette case.

The "reality" is NO QC was done by you personally unless you can state otherwise, and if so then there is a gross negligence on your part for letting these out the door this way, basically making the coins that were banged around in transport NOT IN AIR TITES (supplied in the same package by the way) worth nothing more than peel value as the collector value is in the quality and beauty of the coin in tandem with the other features of a no input coin, which is now lost.

Plus lets not forget the most important factor, the private keys.

Unless you can explain the process of your "personal oversight" to the production and application of these keys, we cannot assume they are not compromised. maybe a rogue employee? how would you even know?

We do look forward to your detailed explanation.

So there's your "reality" check.

thanks!
852  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BTCC Mint 2018 V-Series One and One Tenth Bitcoin - Official Launch on: August 28, 2018, 03:15:30 PM
Given all this talk about who assembled--can't help but wonder if my private keys are safe (or even accurate). According to first bits, the amount is still there for now. Grabbing popcorn to see how this one turns out.

Well, until an actual spokesperson from BTCC Mint or whoever is in charge now (bobby?) comes forth and explains what happened and the QC supposed to occur when making the Priv Keys, then we can assume they are NOT safe for long until stated positively otherwise and documented with proof.
853  Economy / Collectibles / Re: BTCC Mint 2018 V-Series One and One Tenth Bitcoin - Official Launch on: August 28, 2018, 02:10:14 PM
BOBBY, And who made the keys??  Answer these questions - no  dancing around as you obviously didn’t oversee this process as the quality out the door was piss poor to say the least with 99% of your “customers “ not happy with your shipped product ??

Which makes myself and others wonder - who had access to these keys that you were personally supposed to oversee??

Also this is not limited to the rolls of 1/10’s - the ones in the boxes also came out pretty crappy. As shown in one of my pics.

Covering shipping is more of an insult to this collector community as these coins have lost 100% of their collector value being so damaged and banged up,  and are simply worth nothing more than  peel value and $2 in titanium if that.

You may want to rethink your stance here on your “solution”.

Thanks!

Hello,

ITEM 2:  Roll of 25x Satori PRE-FORK Coins/Chips - 024653 to 024683 (LEFT)
ITEM 3:  Roll of 25x Satori PRE-FORK Coins/Chips - 024620 to 024651 (RIGHT)

ITEM 2: 024683-024653+1=31 but the roll contains 25 chips. Does it mean that 6 chips have been discarded regarding quality,
or am i missing something?

Same for ITEM 3...

A good question, but regardless each roll only contains 25 chips.

Curious myself.
Thanks!

Ok so .001 each if i order 10?
Sorry

Not trying to argue with you just presenting a missed detail. You do you, man. Best of luck.

I dont want to argue either. I offer to buy scratched coins at a discount to take them off peoples hands if they wanted a scratch free one. I think its a fair offer. Im not going to offer what its going to cost to buy direct so idk why someone has to be sarcastic. They act like i offered to buy at .05.

you will have MUCH better luck buying direct Smiley
