Is someone using the neon wallet with the nano ledger s ?

me, works fine  Smiley

nice, do you know whether tokens based on the neo blockchain will displayed correctly?
I'm using it too, I've switched from NEO GUI to NEON because of Ledger Nano S support. The current version of NEON don't support Tokens (especially RPX), at the moment only NEO and GAS is supported.
The support of NEP5 and native assets will be supported with upcoming NEON version 0.0.8 as far as I know.
Of yourse you can send your RPX to the NEON/Ledger Wallet, but you will not have access to it until 0.0.8 is released.

is there any way to set up a masternode on amazon aws?

Yes, I have one running there which is free for a year with their EC2 free tier service, at least for the first VPS if you're not already using EC2. The instructions are almost the same as the masternode setup walkthrough that uses Vultr as an example. The changes to those instructions are:

1. The provisioning of the VPS of course has a different interface, just choose the same size and version of Ubuntu listed in the masternode guide, pretty straightforward.

2. Logging on to the server is a bit different, since AWS requires you to use their SSH private key instead of providing a root password like Vultr does. AWS gives pretty good instructions on how to download the private key and connect with it when you click their Connect button.

3. Since you connect as the ubuntu user instead of root, put sudo in front of all of the commands--the instructions for Vultr only put it in front of some of them. Also, IIRC, when I ran the 'phored -daemon' command to launch the masternode, I had to use './phored -daemon' instead.

4. The firewall configuration (ufw commands) has to also be applied in the AWS interface by adding the same ports (22 and 11771 TCP) to a security group and applying the security group to the server. If you have a static IP on your PC you can restrict SSH to just your IP address, or you can set it to allow SSH from any IP address. For 11771 you would want to allow that from any IP address, just like the firewall configuration in the guide.

5. On AWS, the external IP address is not one of the ethernet addresses on the server as they have internal network addresses, which requires a modification in the masternode phore.conf file. First, type the command 'sudo ifconfig -a' to get the outward facing IP address (not 127.0.0.1--the other one), and use that address on the bind= line in phore.conf on the VPS. The other lines still use the external IP address shown in the AWS control panel.

Otherwise it follows the same steps in the guide and worked flawlessly for me. Hope that helps!
For those who have a dynamic IP at home, you can also secure SSH port 22 to just your own (dynamic) IP by using this awesome script for ufw: https://gist.github.com/bobmoff/11328672
The only thing you need is a dynamic DNS service for the hostname (noip, dyndns, ...).
I'm using it too and it works really great, let it run with cron every 5 minutes, it removes the old IP and adds the new one.

It looks like there are/were many cheaters in this campaigne.

I'm definitely not a cheater and have nothing to do with the other guys, see my answer to his post here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1702409.msg25601517#msg25601517

The TXN which he want to accelerate is : https://blockchain.info/tx/ddaa1aa622bfdb2fafd8b2ac86819622855d2849db1b04fb8f5511cfad70e8af

whereas the input and one output to this txn is of a well know atriz wallet address.

Guys please Tag both of them.

Tag him for what? As far as I know it is not against any rules to have alt account(s). Unless he cheated campaigns/giveaways/trust farming. Did he? blah, you all write too fast.

Btw i have found something interesting here

Ok...So, Sir Sylon changed signature payouts for upcoming weeks - lowered reward to 10$-30$ per post(in tokens), max 20 posts a week.(200-600$ in tokens  Shocked).

This reminds me of avalanche:

Hi Sylon! I wanna leave this signature campaign for another one since monday. Please reserve my stakes for current week.
Thank you!

So, what do you think?

@marlboroza: I saw your post because of this one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2199275.msg25553157#msg25553157

Let me explain: Sylon changed the rules of the bounty campaign, he reduced the earnings to about 1/4, so I decided to leave the campaign immediately.
I saw many other guys switched to Algory in the last posts on the Spectre Bounty Topic so I've researched a little bit about it and I liked it, as there were just a few places left I decided to join promptly.

Afterwards I understand that it looks strange, I haven't thought about that before. If a mod want's to check reputation (I'm Austrian) I will agree of course because I hate cheaters on Bitcointalk too, here is nothing more annoying than them and the Bot accounts with senseless posts just to earn activity.
If you check my posts you will not find something strange, I'm definitely NOT cheating! Let me know how I can convince you.

Everything is not always as it seems.

EDIT: A mod should be able to check from which IP address my posts were made.

What do you expect from this news?

https://i.redd.it/6n0emr9j5a101.jpg

Good news about a new version of the asset contract will be much more appreciated by the community and will definitely have a long term impact of the price. A new exchange listing is nice of course, but they are already on excellent exchanges. Maybe a small pump will happen.

until now there is no update for artemine.. i feel sad for my investment. but anyway still believing it will be a loss once i sold it. hopefully the dev is still working on it
Have a look at their roadmap, don't expect someting before January, then the Genesis Addresses Trading Website should be released.
847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | NEO Smart Economy⚡Now a Top 10 Cryptocurrency⚡| Official Thread |Updated Aug10 on: December 02, 2017, 09:49:23 AM
is it still true that we need to pay 1 neo to withdraw to NEO wallet ?
It was the withdrawal fee at Bittrex a few months ago I think, long before the rebranding from Antshares to NEO, do you mean that?
Now it`s 0,025 NEO at Bittrex. But I recommend to buy NEO at Binance or Kucoin, they will credit your earned GAS.

I'm trying to setup a masternode on Ubuntu 16.04.3 minimal (without GUI).

I followed the manual but at "make" I get this error:

Code:
qt/multisigdialog.cpp:27:33: fatal error: QtWidgets/QHBoxLayout: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
Makefile:5498: recipe for target 'qt/qt_libbitcoinqt_a-multisigdialog.o' failed
make[2]: *** [qt/qt_libbitcoinqt_a-multisigdialog.o] Error 1

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory '/root/Phore/src'
Makefile:611: recipe for target 'all-recursive' failed
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

I think it's because of the minimal installation, do I really need gui to run a masternode?

CodemanX, ask in the Discord masternode channel, you'll find help there I think from someone who knows.

Just curious, having not used a Linux based OS for 15 years, but whats the advantage of running minimal over GUI, is it merely to use less resources and reduce its footprint?
Ok I've asked on Discord.
I'm running many Linux Servers and on most of them I need absolutely no GUI. You are right, it uses much less resources and it's faster, further there's no need for a gui when you can access most of the programs with an Webinterface.
Just want to let you know I've managed the installation on the masternode with:

Code:
./configure --without-gui

Then I was able to compile without any error.

I got great support on Discord from Shanto.
849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Artemine- First Self Mining Smart Contract 2.0 on: December 01, 2017, 02:46:22 PM
Is there any news about the daily volume on etherdelta and livecoin, and when will be done the website so who want can sell and buy genesis arte address?
Have a look at their roadmap, the Website should be ready January 2018. But there is a Topic where you can sell your Artemine right now.

In that topic, i saw too many people wants to sell but there is 0 buyer.

Dev should be here at least once per day so maybe token can have a future. Otherwise it will look like abondoned and it will be like minereum.

Don't expect the dev will be here every day, he wasn't in the past, and probably will not in the future. If you need daily updates you should choose another project.
850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Minereum - First Self Mining Smart Contract on: December 01, 2017, 02:43:55 PM
Guys boost it up, everybody need to know about MNE, I think its an amazing coin, and it will be much better !
It is but price is still so cheap , this coin should be at least 50 dollars each!
I really doubt this, there is not a real usecase for that Token, there's just an App coming and nobody knows what the role the Token will have.
851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenX: Making Blockchain assets spendable on: December 01, 2017, 02:41:49 PM
is there a desktop wallet?
You can store PAY Token on every ERC20 compatible wallet, like MyEtherwallet or Mist. Further on hardware wallets like Trezor or Ledger Nano S.

When will the interest claim will be available for the Ledger Nano S?
That would be really nice, does somebody has an update?
That question is asked on likely every page, you would have found an answer if you had read only one page back. I'm also waiting for this, but it has no priority for the team, I think they want us to use Agama.
Its not that it has no priority, it is that the ledger wallet is custom wallet unlike any other and likely I am the only one on the team that would be able to eventually get it working. But it needs a dev environment setup that in itself is not so easy to setup and it is not clear how much time it would take me.

I decided that it is better to get barterDEX and other things I know I can do finished than work on adding interest support to a third party wallet, as important as it is for people who use ledger.

An alternate way is to derive the privkey from the ledger passphrase, which also can be done and then import it into agama, but that sort of defeats the purpose of ledger, so it is not a prioritized approach.

We are actively seeking contractor that are able to do this and funds allocated for it, so it isnt "no priority".

For those with the illusion that this sort of work is easy, let me assure you that it isnt something you can just have any coder do. There is always the fallback of deriving the privkey, but we continue to look for a proper solution. An dev experienced with the ledger wallet could do this in less than a day, that is why my hope is that ledger itself will do this as they must surely have ledger wallet experienced coders.

The ledger wallet code is not anything we wrote. I posted detailed instructions on ledger github so their devs can get it done very quickly.
Thank you jl777B for the detailed information, for my part I will contact Ledger again and will ask for fixing that, last time I just got a default answer, the Link to your reported issue on Github is really helpful.

I got an answer from btchip (Ledgerwallet CTO) on Reddit concerning my question about claiming interest with the Nano S, it doesn't look good at the moment: "It's too complex to add this to our current coin selection mechanism. Pull Requests are welcome though"

One more vote and we have 88 votes totally.

" ...but will also count comments as votes for the time being."

I think it's worth leaving a quick comment too.

102 votes now anyway. Good job, this puts Phore ahead of bigger coins that have been under consideration for weeks.

Voted too, now we have 115 votes. I just heard yesterday from this project and I really like it, good luck to team & community.

Am I right in thinking that one pbt token had an ico price of 5btc? Imagine if it goes back up to that ratio...one pbt will be worth $50,000 plus!
Was that really the case?  Huh 1 PBT 5 BTC?
Most of the PBT-Tokens were sold within the first 24 hours at 1 PBT = 3 BTC. After that just a few more PBT were available anymore, sold out at 1 PBT = 4 BTC.
Fortunately I mostly invested after the ICO at a much better rate, but now I also have a huge loss.

It's debatable whether 'good news' will come specifically in December, January, or May 17th, 2019, at 3:28 pm. Really, there's no point in speculating. What is clear, though, is that NEO has a ton of cool projects in progress. Why don't we just agree that 'good news' will likely occur sometime in the future, without getting impatient about specific times?

See the following compilation of NEO activities for reference and reassurance:

Fully agree with you, just hold your NEO and accumulate your GAS guys! Thank you for the Links.
