8421  Other / Meta / Re: Should merit be earned across the whole forum? on: January 29, 2018, 03:19:43 PM
I think that merit should be eligible in all boards of forum. You're, there are lot of spam in Off-topic and Politics & society boards and good quality posts usualy get lost among all spam, so, it may be difficult to get Merit for these posts. Another thing, mosts active users on these board are Newbies and Jr Members, higher ranked users are less active, so there aren't many users who can give Merit on these boards. And it's not secret, mostly new users without knowledge about crypto are posting in these boards just to rank up. Now, when Merit system was introduced, there will be not enough to make garbage posts to get activity and rank up. So, maybe at least Politics and Society board will become cleaner and more interesting to read.
And, it's forum about Bitcoin and other currencies, so, I prefer to give Merit for valuable posts about Bitcoin/Altcoins, not about off-topic content.
8422  Other / Meta / Re: Attention !!! Fake site https://bitcointalk.to - REAL https://bitcointalk.org!! on: January 29, 2018, 03:07:00 PM
Thanks for sharing it with us!
There are so many mirror/clone websites of Bitcointalk. But this one I'm seeing most often - when I'm searching something on Google with word "bitcointalk", I'm almost always getting bitcointalk.to among the search results, sometimes it show above even original website.
Such clone websites is probably one of the reasons, why there are so many hacked Bitcointalk accounts. Users must be more careful and always double check that they are entering their login details on original websites.
8423  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Minimize Fee for Micro transaction on Exchanger on: January 28, 2018, 11:31:24 PM
Hello I Want share my writing on steemit  about trick to minimize the bitcoin fee on exchanger especially for micro transaction ,  this trick help me a lot when i want withrdaw my little money .
The main idea of this trick is using 2 exhanger with same alt coin  as an intermediary for bitcoin exchange
you can read completely on : https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@brotherwood11/minimize-your-fee-bitcoin-tips-and-trick-1
Well, it's not new trick and many people already doing something similar to avoid huge Bitcoin transaction fees and slow transfers. I see your post only as a method to make your Steemit article more popular. And I'm not sure what did you tried to say in this sentence:
Quote
1st thing what i  do is convert my bitcoin into another bitcoin
Maybe you mean that you convert your Bitcoin to another Altcoin, not another Bitcoin?
Personally, when I need to transfer coins between exchanges, I choose Dogecoin. Dogecoin transactions are very cheap and fast and it's what I need for.
8424  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why not have a referral link section? on: January 28, 2018, 11:16:03 PM
Sorry, but it's terrible idea. Forum is already full of spam and allowing ref links would make situation even worse. Do you imagine how that Referral link would look? Faucets, gambling websites, ICO's cloud mining and other ponzi schemes. Do we really need it? Do we really need it? How that board can be beneficial for someone? Who would moderate all that mess?
There is rule on bitcointalk which don't allow ref links, so why they should go against their own rules?
8425  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Giving Passport as the verification document on: January 28, 2018, 11:06:46 PM
Most of the Airdrops are asking Passport as the verification document. Can we really trust them to give such kind of a sensitive document ?. what are your opinions ?.
Does Airdrops really asking Passport/ID card for verification? Why do they need for it? Personally, I would never give that info to Airdrops, it looks suspicious. There are many scam Airdrops and I suspect that they may use our personal details for a bad things and then we can get in serious trouble.
I understand that exchanges and ICO's have to ask for user verification to follow KYC and AML. But when it comes to ICO's and exchanges, I'm trying to give my personal details as less as possible, I don't like to share my personal details to unknown websites. If you want to give your passport scan to Airdrop project, you should know about risks. If I would be you, I would try to protect my sensitive information.
8426  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: January 28, 2018, 06:45:39 PM
Revolut is

Lithuania or London

I am confused
They are from London UK, but if I'm not mistaken they have office in Lithuania and they are trying to aquire full banking license here.
8427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: To all of you who hate the merit system, there is another popular Bitcoin forum on: January 28, 2018, 02:45:54 PM
How about no! I don't see any strong reasons to leave Bitcointalk. I don't know where did you find censore here? As hilariousetc said, moving threads about Bitcoin Cash from Bitcoin Discussion board to Altcoin discussion isn't a censore, it's just proper moderation.
Merit system is also not a sign of censore. You still can express your opinion freely. Mainly spammers complaining about it, well, I'm not against if they will leave Bitcointalk.Cheesy
If you are Bitcoin Cash supporter, then maybe Forum.Bitcoin.com is a better place for you. I have account on that forum, but I rarely visit it. Shortly, I don't like Roger Ver due to attacks against Bitcoin and also that calss Bitcoin Cash as a real Bitcoin.
8428  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: January 28, 2018, 01:56:52 PM
My predictions for today's La Liga games 27th January 2018:

Villarreal vs. Real Sociedad. (Going for a home win for Villarreal, their recent form is great, and they playing in front of their passionate fans, the "Yellow Submarines don't sink that easily")
With their defeat against Villarreal, Real Sociedad are on a four game losing streak in the La Liga and they are yet to win a single game in 2018. Since they are six points from the relegation zone they need to buckle up soon or risk getting relegated.

Well they (Sociedad) are still 6 points safe from the relegation zone after yesterdays defeat. But you are right, they need to start sorting themselves out, if not it will be a struggle. If they continue in this form, I wouldn't be surprised if their manager will be put to the sword and sacked. I hope it doesn't come to that.

Watched this game yesterday and Sociedad defense was awful in the first half. After break they improved a bit but it wasn't enough. Goalkeeper also didn't played well, he made only 1 save. Sociedad results are terrible and ifvthey wont improve it, it's only question of time, when E. Sacristan will be sacked.
8429  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Nitrogen sports will pay you for making a tattoo! on: January 28, 2018, 01:01:17 AM
It's crazy offer Cheesy Kudos to marketing of Nitrogensports.
I don't have any tatoos and I'm not planning to make it, but I like their idea. It's easy money. Considering that prices of tatoos are not expensive, some guys can make really nice money.
8430  Other / Meta / Re: Why is merit so special on: January 28, 2018, 12:39:52 AM
So, How we can get the merit? it means that when we don't have merit the membership rank cannot be increase. Is it?
please share the information about merit.
Don't be lazy and do at least minimal research and then you can easily can find answerrs to your questions... Check this thread where you will find all information about merit - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2818350.0
To rank up you need to get Merit points, it's not enough to get activity. Now you Jr. Member, to become Member you need to get 10 Merit (not that much, right?). Without Merit you will stuck at Jr. Member rank forever :/
8431  Other / Meta / Re: Why not limiting the Signature Campaigns and posts per week? on: January 28, 2018, 12:23:12 AM
If you can't make 20 good quality posts per week, you shouldn't join that campaign. I don't see many reasons to limit max number of posts because there are enough users who can reach required number of posts without spamming. And if number of posts would be reduced, these campaigns will become not effective because with less posts they get much less visibility. 20-30 is not that much, because as said above some campaigns asking to make even 100 posts. To reach it, users have to posts absolute garbage.
But I think something has to be done to regulate bounty campaigns. If there are lot of spammers in campaign and campaign manager aren't doing hos job properly, then mods just delete campaign thread and project loise right to advertise on bitcointalk via signature campaigns.
8432  Other / Meta / Re: MERIT SYSTEM - Effective way to regain a healthy forum on: January 27, 2018, 08:28:49 PM
What's the point of creating another thread about Merit system? You didn't posted anything new that wasn't already said. Meta is full of threads about it, why you didn't posted in one of existing threads?
Meta board looks really messy in recent days...
8433  Other / Meta / Re: What will you do then? Please be truthful while answering it. on: January 27, 2018, 08:15:45 PM
When I found Bitcointalk, I didn't knew what is signature campaign and only later I joined Yobit campaign. If all signature campaigns will end (or it will be banned), I still would stay on Bitcointalk. I didn't came here for signature campaigns, I have other sources of Bitcoin earning. Offcourse, it's good to additional source of BTC, which is higher than minimal wage in my country. I'm sure that if signature campaigns will end, I would become less active on Bitcointalk, maybe would make less posts, but still, I would visit forum few times a day. But I imagine how 3rd world spammers would start to cry and complain if there will be no more sig campaigns.
8434  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit not for sale! on: January 27, 2018, 01:26:00 AM
That's a desperate one, everyone is aware that merits are not for sale and it shouldn't be bought.
It was just one random thread which I noticed. But take a look here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2823221.0
You can see how many people are suspected that they are abusing Merit system. So, not everyone aware that they shouldn't sell merits. And I'm sure that some of these people understand and know what they are doing and how they are risking
8435  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: January 27, 2018, 01:08:07 AM
Today i've verified my account with Paysera , the guy told me that I cannot send money to Bitstamp, KRaken or whatever. Could you please remove it from the list?

Thanks
I've added info about this.
And quote from their website.
Quote
According to the rules for usage of Paysera system, clients are prohibited from managing unlicensed virtual currencies (e.g. bitcoin). Therefore, transfers to systems which exchange such currencies are not performed.
Paysera will block your account if you will use it to buy/sell BTC using it or transfer money to/from exchanges. I know many people who got their accounts blocked, so, it's better to don't try to risk. There are enough better alrernatives.

can you give me some great banks to transfer money out of exchanges

Mistertango for example https://mistertango.com
Bitcoin friendly Bank which gives IBAN account and free MasterCard. Little disadvantage that their card have low yearly limits.
I also can recommend to take a look at Revolut.
8436  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: January 27, 2018, 01:01:51 AM
Nice to hear about that. It’s time to earn more bitcoins from this site. So Do I need to pay to join in this site?  So this is another project of bitcoin, to get easily by earners.
Yes you first need to register in the site than claim from their faucets or have to deposit some of your own bitcoin there if you are willing to play dice there and win some. But first try with what you can claim for free from their faucet and than deposit. They have considerably very high house edge in dice so your chance of winning is lower than in any other dice sites.

You can also deposit and play free rolls, but not touch in Hi Lo game, so you won't risk losing your deposit and free rolls winnings, and earn interests instead. You'll earn way less than by playing dice, but you'll be sure to still have your satoshis at the end of each day.

What is the point of deposit your money if you are not trying to gamble?
There are one main reason to deposit BTC to Freebitco.in - 4.08% yearly interest for BTC that you hold on Freebitco.in. Not much, but better than nothing.
8437  Other / Meta / Re: How Do You Feel About This New System?? on: January 26, 2018, 09:52:12 PM
I'm in neutral position because my feelings are mixed. Now it will be more difficult to reach Legendary rank, but I don't care much about it. But for current newbies reaching high rank will be very hard and they will need to post many years to get hundreds of Merit points. Offcourse, there will be less lazy shitposters and account farmers signing up daily, but it will also may prevent legit new users who can post good content by from joining forum. On the other hand, reaching Member or Full Member ranks doesn't looks impossible if they have good quality of posts and they will be able to participate in signature campaigns.
Now I'm more happy to give sMerit to new users, because I think they more need for it than these high ranked members. But it looks crazy how Lutpin received more than 500 Merit in one day. So far these who are posting in Meta are getting most Merit points, and not always for posting high quality posts, but just because they are well known on Bitcointalk. And offcourse, they are getting Merit for previous contribution.
What I don't like about Merit system that it doesn't affect old users who already reached high rank by making low quality posts. I think this idea https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2605767.msg26520885#msg26520885 would be betterbecause it would affect every member of Bitcointalk and these who have dozens of alt accounts hardly would be able to pay fee for every account.

8439  Other / Meta / Re: How are there 49 merit sources now ? on: January 26, 2018, 08:12:14 PM
Is there a function to the merit sources being hidden?

Members will start begging from them.
If they will start begging Merit points from them, I think they can get negative trust. In my opinion, there are no reasons to hide who are the merit sources, like we know who is DT members, same should be with Merit sources. But soon it will be clear enough which users are Merit sources as we will see who gave out most Merit to users.
8440  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit not for sale! on: January 26, 2018, 03:36:55 PM
I hope everybody would be fair about this new feature implemented by admin theymos.
This thread is for the purpose of awareness that merit is given to a constructive and quality post. I have made a thread here in the market place section, hoping that there will not be such things like buying and selling merits. Let's work with our own asses.

P.S.
OP  is not asking attention, read and understand.  Obedience is better than sacrifice.
Saddly, but many people are already selling/buying Merit points, for example here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2827197.0
On local boards there are much more Merit sellers. There was people who got 20 or even 50 Merit for a low quality posts, it's obvious abuse of Merit system. Both, buyer and seller has to be reported to DT members and they will give them red trust rating.
