8421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Almost all the altcoins in red again! on: August 01, 2019, 10:38:33 AM
Altcoin season came once and it will never come again, that's my strong thoughts on that. But this doesn't mean there won't be anymore x10 or whatever you want to call it. Alts are still in demand, the tech is still young and you need either 1 killer app or 1 killer platform, and you never know what demand can do to a coin. Just look at BTC and ETH for example!
8422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IOST died ? on: August 01, 2019, 09:12:32 AM
For a rank 63 coin, it's not dead: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/iostoken/
@OP it's now 94 sats, have you both it while it's on 69 sats? I'm aware that this coin got a lot of attention when they've held a campaign and that marketing was very effective on their side.

94 sats, 49 sats, come on, it isn't dead. Look at Dogecoin happily camping at 30 sats below and above, and they are always going to tell you they're far from dead.

Price is really a bad way to tell about coins, transactional volume is much better IMO.
8423  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Money is a Bubble on: August 01, 2019, 07:59:35 AM
Bitcoin is not supported by any physical assets. Unlike the case with Fiat money backed up with gold or other assets. If a country prints fiat money carelessly and does not match the value of deposits in the bank, it can cause inflation. Like in Venezuela. Bitcoin is only supported by public trust that has no monetary value. If Bitcoin gets high trust, the price also increases. So bitcoin is better referred to as a bubble.

Why should it want to be supported by physical assets? It is already backed by so many things. The scarcity factor. The security that is almost impossible to hack. The fact that it can never be taken away, it can never be reversed, it can never be falsified.

Fiat has all of these weaknesses AND is not even any longer backed by gold or other assets!
8424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: President Trump going against BitCoin | JP Morgan Using BitCoin to trade drug on: August 01, 2019, 07:10:25 AM
There are two bitcoin enthusiast of bitcoin, one is the negative one who ate all his thrown words about bitcoin and become crypto lover at the end and second is the positive one who never succeeds in crypto world thus turn his back to bitcoin. Trump and JP Morgan suits the first category who said negative things about bitcoin but later on they will gonna invest and love it.

I don't know if their statements really affect the market but seems it does sincd after the Trump's released tweer against bitcoin, the price drops.

Who cares about whether politicians and big bankers are enthusiasts about Bitcoin? You know what happens when these corporate people (yes Trump is a corporate man don't forget) see Bitcoin and decide they like it? They become guys like Roger Ver or Craig Wright. They make Bitcoin famous for sure but they also want some big piece of the pie only for themselves.
8425  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win a Lamborghini Huracan LP 580-2!! on: July 31, 2019, 10:07:42 AM
Don't know what all the fuss about the animation thing is. It's a free roll, 100ms extra delay, and some of us happen to like it. Free satoshi, free lottery tickets, free reward points. What's not to like about it? Meanwhile, we're getting closer to October and Lambo date;)
8426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I think a lot of people just missed their chance on: July 31, 2019, 07:59:41 AM
People missed their chances a long long time ago. Some just don't want to except this fact, chasing bounty after bounty just to end up with a fistful of air. Any good project that has any potential has already been done and redone 50 times at this point. There is never going to be another Bitcoin and Ether, that ship sailed years ago. Stop trying to win the lottery and invest in something real.

Surely you must know by now, if you have the experience to say "a long time ago", that this is the same phrase people used in all the past cycles? That people miss their chances and they are too late? People kept missing their chances at every opportunity because of that mentality. But at the same time, as you said, people also keep trying to win the lottery and these dual mentalities keep them in the corner.
8427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which Coins are a great LONG-TERM investment ???? on: July 31, 2019, 07:09:05 AM
I have never specifically intended to invest in the long term. long-term investment is too risky for me. but I save my assets in bitcoin and ethereum. not for long-term investments. I just wait for the price to rise anytime. and when I thought there were enough profits, I would sell it.

This is the first time I've heard about long-term investment too risky. You're saving your assets in BTC and ETH, you do realize that's the same thing as long term investment right?

Or what would you consider longterm? I got most of my crypto just lying as BTC. Everything depends on Bitcoin:)
8428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Believes Dogecoin “Will Go To The Moon” on: July 31, 2019, 05:47:30 AM
Never stop believing in the power of the Doge, I tell you! People diss this coin a lot but I've had steady almost x2 gains 3 or 4 times from this real powerful altcoin. It's not technologically superior than most coins. But it has a strong community so many alts would kill to have.

So will it go to the moon? I don't think so really. But I am sure in a few more years I will still see it strong as ever!
8429  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free 1,000 Satoshi from 🎲 Dice on BTC in Telegram on: July 31, 2019, 05:06:50 AM
Is the Only telegram bot the one way to play bet here? I have tried to visit the site and site redirected/displayed to go to the telegram bot. And after tapping on the start button I have received 1000 satoshi free for testing the bot its fine to me. But I have not found any suggestion command after the start. So this is lack of features I think.
What command did you want to find?

I think he just wants to find out the list of commands for the bot, which should be given to any new player that enters the channel from the beginning. Basically, I think this already happens but for some reason he doesn't see it at all. @sujo you should always try asking for /help in any bot on Telegram if you're stuck. Or click the sticky, everything is in there.
8430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Coin - Not Far From The Falling on: July 30, 2019, 02:37:18 PM
The thread describing the fall of Binance Coin was created in April. During that period of April 1 the price was above $17, further it never went low and has marked its all time high value. This shows that it has overcome all the predictions of Binance Coin falling low. Now Binance Coin has secured a place with its perfect way of promotion and new forms of keeping the market stable without any disturbance.

I have to agree here, BNB has surpassed expectations and credit to the minds and the models behind the business for taking care of that. But mind you, these are all manipulations. Burns and issuances and competitions all making sure people use the coin and buy it, thereby creating demand. BNB is nowhere worth the value it is today.
8431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do crypto trading bots really generate profits? on: July 30, 2019, 01:03:39 PM
If the user really understand about his bot, maybe can make profit. Of course people who make that bot will aim something and not just waste their money in trading fees. But for other people who can't use it maybe it be something that not really good to make profit and pick traditional trading.

You misunderstand bots. People make bots and then they have to feed the bot with scripts still, which contains the rules of how you want it to trade, how you want it to react to the market.

So it's those rules users need to understand, not the bot.
8432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do not have prices and exchanges, but can be traded? How can? on: July 30, 2019, 09:18:20 AM
The answer is peer-to-peer. Those trades you see on those exchanges are most likely decentralized ones. So it's not like a normal centralised exchange where you need to list. Anyone can create any token and then just put an ask order on a dex, if someone wants to they are free to buy it. That's the beauty of these platforms;)
8433  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analyst: Bitcoin below $ 10,000 is a gift! on: July 30, 2019, 08:09:00 AM
I still think any price is a good entry, but of course those who got in at 3k will always be saying that this 9k level is also a gift, a 3x instant gains gift, and they may believe that the price could drop even lower, if not back to 3k, which will be the real present for all these speculators. Me, I'm ok with this price, I could even like it better lower!
8434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Sun and a rumor around him on: July 29, 2019, 11:33:47 AM
What's that saying again? Sell the rumor and buy the news? Or was it the other way around now? Anyway, you TRX supporters of course will defend Justin, and so would I, I guess. But to me, anyone who is corporate and has a private blockchain and then wants to have lunch with Warren B means they only care about money. So tax fraud and whatever I'm not surprised. But that doesn't make him a bad guy, all these guys do the same, just some get caught.
8435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Confirms An Equilibrium Pattern on: July 29, 2019, 10:23:19 AM
I'm so unsure what to do with this coin really. I got in at what I felt was sure to be the near bottom at $400. Lost out hope but held on. And then when it went back up to $330 things looked like they were picking up but all that momentum shot down the minute Bitcoin slipped on $10k.

ETH's got a lot of scalpers in the game. Really hard to overcome resistance.
8436  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it safe/dangerous to sell if the wallet gets to valueable on: July 29, 2019, 08:48:41 AM
You know, the great thing about Bitcoin is that if you never attach any identity to your wallet address, then all they can ever do and all anyone can ever do, is say that that address holds a lot of Bitcoin. I would personally use a mixer now to split off all the coins in a different address and hold them there if you really have millions of dollars worth of BTC. But as long as you keep your private keys secure, shouldn't ever need to worry.
8437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There Is No War Against Bitcoin! Stop The Fud! on: July 29, 2019, 06:44:12 AM
Well, if there is a war indeed against Bitcoin, we should all look forward to it. Do you remember the last time Bitcoin was in a war? Everyone called it a civil war in fact, and people were spamming the network, trying to get it to crumble. Miners used blackmail. And in the end remember what happened? ATH boys!
8438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Holders ,be calm on: July 28, 2019, 12:32:13 PM
Altcoin holders should be calm at the current period, when bitcoin has not shown clear signals for its next movements. For now, we all are not sure that bitcoin will move upwards or keep falling downwards. Altcoins have not yet rocketted due to unclear movements of bitcoin. Fortunately, we will have clearer picture next weeks. Let's see, but I believe altcoins will increase in their BTC values.

Calm is the last thing anyone wants for crypto market so why should it be any different at this period? No volatility means no opportunity for trading and instant gains like all altcoin holders want to see. Hang in there. Price will be even lower in this year, don't you worry.

But when things pick up, and they will, you'll be glad you did.
8439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The End of Bear Market, Confirmed!! on: July 28, 2019, 10:54:39 AM
Bitcoin could not grow all the time, it was necessary to think about it, when it rose to 13,000 a second time, it was clear that the others were lower, and it was necessary to close, at least partially, now we will wait again for growth by autumn.

Crypto spring never really came for a lot of people, or rather it came and the smart ones took advantage, leaving the hopeful ones almost back where they were. Sure, still 100% or even 200% up from the 2019 low for most altcoins, but a lot of people will now be convinced to cut losses after recovering to this levels for so long. Let's hope more people sell off.
8440  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Are Women Slowly Leaning On To Crypto Trade? on: July 28, 2019, 09:41:52 AM
I always knew people were sexist even on this forum, but I didn't know just how many people actually believed this was a thing, that women are slowly leaning on. Women are better at logic and safety, they take few risks and do not like to take chances especially with money (spending is different for them, I'm talking about investment here).

Also the study doesn't really take into account % of women who are aware versus % who participate.
