8441  Other / Meta / Re: 100,000 Bitcointalk Users on: April 26, 2014, 07:03:00 AM
Last active : October 02, 2013, 10:31:24 PM He stopped going on the forum right before the huge November 2013 spike up in price

Well, that's his loss.

If I was the 100.000th user I never give up my account.
The millionth user is more likely not to be an active one. We have a lot of accounts with 0 posts as well.

So much for the chosen one and knowing us we will remember that we are nearing a million users and make an active account for it XD
Or sell it for the one who got the 1 millionth
(Assuming we are not on that new forum by then)
And can reset the user count to actual lol.
8442  Other / Off-topic / Re: How, in the end, do you think the world will end? on: April 26, 2014, 06:56:21 AM
I think that one of these will cause our doom: a Virus, Aliens or a Solar Storm.

The solar storm would be pretty bad as the EMP wave takes out comms arrays then a virus at that time and a pandemic without world coordination to be finished off with aliens Smiley

But I wonder would the aliens catch our virus or spread them lol.

Indeed thanks minerpumpkin
Now back to the fairly quiet AM thread as we wait for the first new dividends to come in Smiley

Did not have a pet fetish but I guess this thread addresses all types Tongue
8447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Western Union Survey on: April 26, 2014, 06:44:14 AM
A Western Uniion survey. How quaint!
Like dinos taking a weather survey 5 mins before asteroid impact.... Wink

At least they will come to know how much does the general public hates them. I don't think they will change after reading the responses, but at least saner voices needs to be heard.

True enough although they used to be useful then again they might go the way of Polaroid when digital cameras appeared if the company is slow to adapt
8448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Maidsafe on: April 26, 2014, 06:42:16 AM
So I forgot to ask but how long until we see this working in practice now that the IPO's are closed
Aka how long to build the stage now with the funding completed.
8449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are MaidSafe and Ethereum competitors? on: April 26, 2014, 06:40:16 AM
So this somehow drifted to Java VS C++ thread? Smiley

Well it seems like more a Technical and Development Discussion thread than the standard alt currency thread now Smiley
8450  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] Seedcoin Fund 2 IPO April 28 on: April 26, 2014, 06:34:59 AM
Interesting startups. Good luck with the IPO!
Well too soon to call so best of luck on your IPO
8451  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK](SFI) Seedcoin Fund I on: April 26, 2014, 06:34:01 AM
Porky/Lambchop/MP,

So now the 'fun' of trolling NeoBee has ended, is this your new target?

Edit: I won't bother reading your replies. I learned long ago to keep your accounts on ignore.

MP got buried by the banhammer so your looking for ghosts Smiley
8452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two guys are chasing a Bitcoin thief on: April 26, 2014, 06:31:46 AM
haha, I remember how I laughed in December on the two clowns Grin chasing a fairy

Just means that the thief immediately converted his loot to fiat, using the BTC-E exchange. Had the exchange be a bit more co-operative, then the chasers would have actually caught the thief.

If that were true, my friend, and the thief was soo naive and stupid and he didnt use any of the above mentioned methods, you could just as well catch him now. The transactions are still in the blockchain, and it depends only on how much records BTC-e keeps. If someone dumped such a big amount at once, it would make it bloody obvious.

Think this argument makes the most sense you can backtrack and detect which person cashed out
8453  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is to people what the internet is to computers. on: April 26, 2014, 06:27:17 AM
man I love the title of this thread.  The moment I read it my brain smiled haha..  It was that Eureka moment people wait for.  I should have posted this in a thread where OP asked "what is bitcoin used for"?

This is a nice blurb actually should have it revive for a bit so more people read it Tongue
8454  Other / Off-topic / Re: I Have Something To Confess on: April 26, 2014, 06:26:17 AM

8455  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: My new TREZOR on: April 26, 2014, 06:25:18 AM

8456  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to make a lot money online? on: April 26, 2014, 06:23:50 AM
buy btc low sell high strategy
Not that easy as it sounds..!
I think it is not a strategy,This is a gamble Grin
Not too much gamble if you have a good strategy..!

He's just said the strategy. The gamble is if the price doesn't rise or you cant sell quickly enough before it plummets again.

There is always a bit of risk in speculation but it is one of the more or less quick ways to make money
That or energy contracts on an hourly basis whistle
8457  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook accepts Bitcoin? on: April 26, 2014, 06:21:40 AM
Bitcoin enthusiast receives targeted advertising based on his activity

Oddly enough I have started to notice this but its more from google than facebook
8458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Proposal for the Mitigation of Bitcoin's Linguistic Transaction Costs on: April 26, 2014, 06:21:01 AM
The problem is that 100 million satoshi to a bitcoin is not logical. Should have been 1 million or 1 billion. This makes no sense at all. So before you do anything you should either cut two zeroes or add one.
I never understood, why they made that decision. Maybe some veteran Bitconar could explain?

Because it accounts for future growth of the world economy including inflation in the future since no future supply can be created it needed to go into Quadrillions Smiley
8459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Qora Logo Poll on: April 26, 2014, 06:19:59 AM
Gives it a revive since the poll closes today
8460  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to get my private key? on: April 24, 2014, 06:18:25 AM
