No, just rumours at the moment. Maybe they will in the future, maybe the wont, nobody knows.

Ha, doubt it. I think that's some wishful thinking there from coindesk.

Facebook will push their facebook credits system - not bitcoin. They have already applied for licenses to be a Money Service Provider (MSB) in multiple US states, and are looking for an e-license in Europe. They are gunning for Western Union first - then will go after the banks - this is a centralised competitor for bitcoin not an adopter.

Who knows but in my opinion it will probably happen though I'm not sure how soon that might happen.  I just won't be surprised when it does.

After reading about the Mark Zuckerberg v Winkelvii rivalry, I am really doubtful whether Facebook will be open to any such idea. The Winkelwii ETF currently holds more than 100,000 coins. Why should Mark Zuckerberg do something, which would increase the value of those coins by many times?

Just to clarify facebook is entering itself into the money service business in Europe so don't think they will shoot themselves in the foot right now

I don't think that Zuckerberg really gives a crap about the Winklevii. He gave them a token amount of money so that they would stop pestering him and he could just ignore them.

If the case is so, then good for both of the parties. Anyway... right now Zuckerberg is at least 100 times richer than the Winklevii. But the only ones who supports the bitcoin is the latter.  Grin

Holding A grudge after the amount of money made I'd think is silly but I can't speak for them.  That doesn't mean that there isn't some competition however.
