@gentlemand. You do not think that it is a good idea for exchanges to work together to make cryptocoin trading a safer environment for users?
I reckon it hits 2 birds with 1 stone. It creates a safer and secure environment while keeping the government regulators away from overregulating and controlling the cryptospace.

What do you think? saw that on Telegram. I have used Monero a lot and happy with it (some times very slow TPS tho..). Ant other Privacy Coins out there? ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fimage.ibb.co%2FgoAS1S%2Fzcash_vs_pivx_vs_monero_vs_bulwark_vs_dash_vs_verge_vs_zcoin.jpg&t=663&c=XMKTZZA44mfBKg) Moronic marketing from a development team that's designed to scam new ignorant victims in the cryptospace. Sometimes innocent threads like these is part of their strategy to get more attention. Everyone be careful of Bulwark. But it's up to you if you don't want to listen. But be sure to blame only yourselves if you lose some of your money.

@ Hydrogen. I would like to see Derrick Lewis fight a top 5 fighter again after his loss versus Mark Hunt, who was a top 5 fighter during the time they fought. Maybe Curtis Blaydes, Fabircio Werdum or hopefully Francis Ngannou.
A rematch versus Mark hunt would not be that bad too, I reckon.

@smooth. We haven't heard from you in a while ever since the drama exploded on Reddit. I would like to hear some of your thoughts on the matter and what you think about Dr.Paradoxical's accusations on stoffu.
I reckon it was an just honest mistake on his part, and maybe partly from frustration that all their hard work was not merged in the codebase.
Stoffu did his rebase in only 24 hours. That must be so annoying when you did yours for more than a month hehehe.
As a community, we should forgive and forget.

VersaBank is responding to the need for digital security, an area which is calling for attention given the recent heist of more than $500 million from Coincheck Inc., a Japanese cryptocurrency exchange. Hackers usually gain access to cryptocurrency exchanges through their Internet connected wallets.
It's the age old tactic of using fear to manipulate the people into thinking that a government or an institution has the solution to the problem. Sometimes, in the case of dirty politicians, they secretly create the problem to cause that fear needed to make a law or a proposed bill look essential.

It is good to see that some exchanges are taking the initiative in improving their part of the cryptospace, and making it safer and more reliable for the users, encouraging more to come in and invest. I reckon the only thing that averts people from participating in the cryptospace is the perceived lack of security and lack of accountability on the exchange if they have their funds stolen. This has to change soon. According to Reuters, which cites unnamed sources close to the group, 16 exchanges are making the move to self-regulate after the Coincheck exchange had $533 million-worth of NEM tokens stolen in a security breach in January. The new organization could be announced as soon as next week, the report suggests.
The sources said a plan to merge two existing groups - the Japan Cryptocurrency Business Association and Japan Blockchain Association - could not be agreed upon, and that the exchanges had opted to form a new organization that would be registered with the country's financial watchdog, the Financial Services Association (FSA).Read the full article https://www.coindesk.com/japanese-crypto-exchanges-uniting-to-form-self-regulatory-body-report/

Unite and be one team. Stay one team.
That is what Aeon needs to move forward. We do not need the drama and the competition between 2 or 3 different teams. I hope Dr.Paradoxical can find the courage to admit that he was wrong and start working on the code instead of bringing the project down because he felt he was cheated because he wasn't.
My support is for stoffu. Please be the head of development if smooth allows it.

@adekogbe. The market for ICOs these days has become so overcrowded that the supply cannot meet the demand. You also have to ask yourself which of them are really composed of a development team that can deliver the promises. I reckon a large % of them can't.
But there might still be some of them that are worth the risk. Look for big names backing them. That reduces the chance that an ICO is a scam.

@crypto_flair. It appears someone made trading decisions using some information that didn't happen, now they're blaming you hehehe.
It is not the site's fault that some information are inaccurate. They already know the people who submit them are also the users themselves, so you do not need to worry. All the risk taken will be up to them. So if they lose money, it's their fault, not yours.
Also, this is the cryptospace. Big announcements get cancelled or postponed all the time.

@zanetti_ro. Let go of Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash, Telcoin and PIVX. That leaves you holding Monero, Ripple and NEO, which I reckon, is a good selection.
Also, instead of Ethereum, why not hold Ethereum Classic, and instead of Dash, hold Zcash. Aeon is also a good small cap coin to have in your portfolio. I reckon they might have a better implementation than Monero as it is trying to avoid Monero's developmental mistakes.

@stoffu. I reckon the bounty was only offered because smooth was not going anywhere with the rebase. Whatever his reasons are, I am sure they have something to do with his busy schedule in real life and in Monero.
In any case, I feel relieved that your code was chosen. I do not trust Dr.Paradoxical to be quite honest, especially after he tried to have community consensus in activating RingCT. I reckon he might have something else under his sleeves.
|
|

@stoffu. But the bounty was needed to encourage developers to work and to have the rebase done more quickly.
If someone stepped up before all the drama, we would already be enjoying LMDB. Running an Aeon node now is a pain.
I am not saying it's you. But I was surprised that there were capable developers on Reddit when the bounty was offered. Where were they before the bounty?

Yes, but what about I hate about some people who keep criticizing the government, not that I love it, is that they offer no solution, only complaints.
But if you ask them what they reckon should be done with it, they do not offer anything.
To would be revolutionaries. Before you express any discontent, know the solutions before breaking things down.
Your solution is highly unoriginal: voting. It's never worked, as individual people can't simply elect the government they prefer. And at least 51% of the electorate reliably believe politicians who lie about what they'll do if elected. Your advice is no different than the same advice we've been receiving for 100's of years. It's never, ever worked. I did offer a solution: refuse government everywhere and for everything. Refuse corporations everywhere and for everything. People are beginning to do both in increasing numbers, without me saying a thing. Who said it was my solution and why would you label me as part of them? I was born into this system and they pushed every belief they wanted me to conceive down my throat through the school system. Also, your solution is too extreme for an everyday person. If we try to refuse the whole system, including the corporations we become something like the Amish. Wasn't your computer built the corporations? We would not be taking without them.

So what do you propose if you hate the government? This is an incredibly loaded question, bbc.reporter Yes, but what about I hate about some people who keep criticizing the government, not that I love it, is that they offer no solution, only complaints. But if you ask them what they reckon should be done with it, they do not offer anything. To would be revolutionaries. Before you express any discontent, know the solutions before breaking things down. A lot of us took to the streets to wave posters in their face. When someone is waving a poster saying, "Stop the expensive WAR, use the money to protect our borders" then we offered them solutions. Most people only have a voice, when they are beaten on the streets for saying the truth. They have a right to demand their taxes, but they have a duty to spend it wisely. We have a duty to remind them, when they are wasting those taxes. These senseless wars in other countries is just one of the examples. People are duying of hunger in 1st world countries, because their governments are dropping $100 000 bombs in other countries. This I agree with. It's not about taxes but about the people who run the government. Also, I reckon it would be better to have a smaller government than an ever larger, growing one that keeps increasing taxes every year. What they should be doing is make tax collection more efficient and consciously trying to push the corruption down to a minimum. The problem I see is they increase the taxes because more and more of it goes to the corrupt's pockets hehehe. @darkangel11. Is that who I am? No.

Some people who participated in the bounty said their code was copied and they will not take the issue sitting down. https://www.reddit.com/r/Aeon/comments/7y0wnj/smooth_declares_stoffus_pr_as_the_winning/While I agree in smooth's decision in choosing stoffu's code over the rest, I reckon Dr.Paradoxical and his team will cause some drama for claiming that their code was stolen by stoffu. This will not be good for the price. Prepare for operation buy Aeon hehehe.

It's strange that he did not make an announcement here or on Reddit. Maybe smooth was trying to avoid any controversy or avoid having the community dispute the chosen path for the rebase?
The group behind Dr.Paradoxical was indeed loud and it almost appeared that they suggested there should be community consensus behind them and more when they proposed 2 hardforks a year and activating RingCT.

I've done my research just can't decide, and I know post isn't the greatest question sorry but I'm trying to decide between these three which one I would rather invest in if I had to pick one, which one would you pick and why? I want a rather safe coin in my portfolio other than ethererum that could possibly 4x in value by the end of the year.
None of them. I reckon 2018 will be the year of the anonymous coins once the regulators start coming after all the ICOs, starting from the larger ones all the way down to the small ones. My advice would be to start doing your research on privacy coins now, and stop wasting your time on all those platforms. I'm 50/50 on this, here's another possibility: Regulation kicks in, requires ID checks for exchanges to legally operate, measures to prevent money laundering make privacy coins illegal and exchanges get hit by the law for listing them. Regulation is all about ensuring we pay tax on our assets, privacy coins are the only thing getting in the way in this scenario. But hey, DEX will solve this. Any way on topic, OMG for me out of this list. That's also possible but what legal basis do the regulators have against proof of work, anonymous coins? Privacy is a basic human right, no ifs and no buts, and we can fight for it in court. On the contrary, ICOs can already be classified as illegal and unlicensed securities, operating outside the law the day it was sold to the public. Also, we have already seen cease and desist orders issued on a handful of ICOs like Bitconnect. That's only the beginning.

Yes, it's a noxious poison because they are not holding it. If they did, I reckon they would be its biggest supporters in Wall Street.
Also, I'm starting to doubt in how Warren Buffet is presented by the media. I do not reckon he reached his status purely because he is a good investor. I speculate that it's also possible that he can be Wall Street's biggest market manipulator.
