It's also unacceptable that people are waiting several months and even indefinitely in some cases to have their accounts restored even with a signed message already verified by others.

Maybe an account recovery fee would help speed things up a bit?

How?Huh?

There is basically only theymos who is half afk doing that. We would just need more paid Admins or something around that line.
Cyrus, not theymos is mainly working with account recovery. Don't know how fee would help to make account recovery faster if Cyrus getting dozens of requests each day.
8562  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Any faucet as Moonbit ? on: December 28, 2017, 01:20:31 AM
There is any nice faucet that work as Moonbit and others faucet that pay in Coinpot ?

Thanks
Besides Moonbit, you can try Moondoge, Moonlitecoin and Moondash, which all working in same way, but paying in altcoins. If you prefer to get btc, you can convert received coins into BTC on Coinpot.
I can suggest you another faucet - yannik.biz. They aren't paying to Coinpot. But they are paying to Faucrthub, Direct to wallet (and maybe they are still paying to Xapo). Payout treshold - 10 000 Satoshi.
On this faucet rewards also depends on time since your previous claim, but their rewards a bit bigger than Moonbit have. You can give a try.
8563  Other / Meta / Re: Warning! Account hacked on: December 27, 2017, 03:19:21 PM
Just want to announce that bitcointalk account of user bitbunnny has been hacked today so everybody pay attention until the account will be recovered, hopefuly.
Why you didn't locked your account after it was hacked? You had to receive email message with link to lock your account, if hacker changed account email address. If you will lock it, hacker will be not able to make any damage to your account. And then admin will restore your account after providing signed message from staked address. Hope that your account will be restored soo, but you will need patience, because sometimes account recovery can take weeks or even months.
8564  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Qoinpro Legitimacy on: December 27, 2017, 01:22:41 AM
First of all, for God's sake, why did you deposited such big amount of BTC to qoinpro, while there are many reputated exchanges you can use, or even simplier - claiming all these forks with your private keys? Qoinpro isn't a best place to do that, especially when they been disappeared for long time and come back only few months back.
I can't help you much with this issue. Only advice I can give you - try to post on their official bitcointalk thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=451449.0
Maybe bad publicity will help you to get your BTG. I see that user woutersteven from their staff replying there sometimes.
8565  Economy / Exchanges / Re: PerfectMoney.is - Legit? on: December 27, 2017, 12:53:27 AM
perfect money is not scam, but you should only use it cautiously for just small amount, if you use it for large amount than $1500 then they may block your account for some reason and you may lose your funds

Your argument carries no weight! I know many folks, as well as customers of ours who had used PM for 10s of thousands......
I've never heard that PM blocks users with lot of money in their accounts. Perfect Money is legit, but it's not safe as a bank accounts.
It's offshore company registered in Panama, they are dealing with lot HYIP scammers (it's main fiat service used by scammers). I wouldn't be surprised if one day they will be shut down by authorities.
8566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What blockchain events do you visit? on: December 26, 2017, 05:53:33 PM
I noticed big increase of blockchain conferences in my country. I would like to participate in these events, but I have little problem - it's lack of time. All of these events aren't organized in my city. So, Iwould need to dedicate whole day if I want to participate in that event. But at least, I'm trying to watch livestreams of these conferences.
Also, I noticed there are much more events now, where not very clean business are advertised - cloud mining companies, shady ICO's, scam coins like Platincoin. By organizing such events, these companies can get more solid image in eyes of their investors.
8567  Other / Meta / Re: Possible Solution For ICO Inbox Spam on: December 26, 2017, 12:59:23 AM
I'm not getting ICO's advertising PM's, but I'm more annoyed by "ICO's promotion services" spam sent by bots. I'm getting such messages almost daily.
Oh, I checked my inbox now, and I can't find these messages, despite that I didn't deleted it. Well, maybe mods did their job by banning them and deleting all stuff that they sent.
8568  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much in advance should I send BTC to cold storage before fork? on: December 26, 2017, 12:50:30 AM
Sorry for the ignorance but why would you want to put your BTC in cold storage ahead of the fork? I understand that cold storage makes your btc super secure so how does a fork compromise your btc?
It's not about safety. You need to keep btc on wallet at the moment of fork, where you have full control of your coins - you need to have private keys, so you need hold btc in cold storage (paper wallet), hardware or desktop wallet. It will guarantee that you will be able to claim these forked coins. While, if you keep btc on exchange, there is no guarantee that they will credit forked coins to their users.
8569  Other / Meta / Re: Cannot log into old account - account has not yet been approved ? on: December 25, 2017, 09:15:01 PM
Strange, I never saw "account has not yet been approved". Probably it's somehow related to hack of bitcointalk which happened few years ago. But then you would get message that your account was locked.
Anyway, if you want to contact Admins, try to PM Cyrus or theymos:
theymos: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=35
Cyrus: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=78147
But before, maybe try to contact one of the global moderators, maybe they will say what exactly you need to do to get your account back.
8570  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounty payment help on: December 25, 2017, 07:40:41 PM
How the bounties campaign will pay me? Because on my exchanges it is the rule that if you receive other coin on (example- ethereum address) you’ll get no funds or something like that. Do I understand this correctly? What should i do?
Don't use exchange deposit address to receive bounty campaign payments. You need to use wallet, which supports ERC20 tokens.
If you will send tokens to exchange Ethereum deposit address, it's most likely that you won't receive anything, it's only for Ethereum deposits. And it's no guarantee that exchange which you are using will add these new tokens to their market.

Rake in the lottery is insane now. 1.59 given away for the 10 winners with over 4BTC worth of tickets bought.
Actually, not all of these tickets were really bought. Mostly of these tickets comes from Multiply btc game after user wager required amount of btc, also from free faucet claims, and tickets received as referral commission. Only part of all these tickets were bought with BTC.

8572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transfering USD from Web Wallet to Exchange on: December 25, 2017, 12:49:04 AM
What do you exactly mean by saying "transfering usd from web wallet to exchange"? Where do you have these USD? Do you mean online bank account, or online payment proccessor like Paypal, Payza and etc? If you need to transfer USD to exchange, you have to check available deposit methods on that exchange, choose deposit method that is avaiable to you and then deposit your USD by following given instructions.
8573  Economy / Services / Re: I'm Looking to start a Bitcoin Investment Website. How to ? on: December 25, 2017, 12:34:27 AM
Dude, people like you are cancer of bitcoin community. Your main and only intention - scamming your investors. So, don't expect that people will help with advices to you.
Why not to try make something legit, like simple dice website or something similar. Such website would give you profit in long term, as long as your site remain online and have users. While HYIP's working only few days or weeks and money stop flowing to your pocket after your website turn into scam.
P.S. Do people still investing in HYIP's? How owners of these websites still can find naive idiots who believe that money growing on trees..

8575  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is multimining.website is a legit mining website? Are they paying? on: December 24, 2017, 03:59:37 PM
It's obvious scam, like all others so called "bitcoin generators. If you will deposit money to this website, you will not get payout and you will just feed scammers. It's good that you asked for advice before investing - you will not loose money. Leave this site, forget about it and try to use something what is really legit.
8576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Belarus President Signed A Decree That Legalizes Mining And Cryptocurrencies on: December 24, 2017, 01:35:21 AM
It's surprising move by Belarus president - last European dictator. It's strange that he didn't made actions against Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. No, they decided to support it, well done.
These news sounds very positive, it's interesting how much investors it will help to attract to Belarus. In past Belarus wasn't most friendly country for foreign investors in general, so now they have to build their reputation.
I wish that my country would introduce something similar what Belarus did. But it's not likely to happen :/
8577  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Withdrew from Coinpot to scam site - "Pending" after 2 days - Help Please! on: December 24, 2017, 01:08:54 AM
First of all, I think that friend who suggested to invest into this scam, isn't friend of you anymore :/
You should be more careful before investing your hard earned btc.
Previously I saw people complaining about long time pending withdrawals from Coinpot. And after some time they got their btc withdrawal, or it was cancelled and btc were returned to Coinpot ballance. Both scenarios are real.
Only thing what you can do now - wait. Coinpot currently on maintenance. Their support isn't responsive, so if you will try to contact them, it's not likely that you will get answer.
8578  Other / Meta / Re: How to upload images if I have a low rank? on: December 24, 2017, 12:55:39 AM
Hello!

I'm translating an ANN and I need to upload some images to it. Is there any way I can upload images if I have a low rank? (currently I have an activity of 14).

Looking forward to your answers.

Thanks!

You need to buy Copper Membership, it costs 0.00223178 btc:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104.msg24371150#msg24371150
After you will buy it, you will be able to post images, and other Newbie rank prohibitions will be removed.
8579  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [Unofficial] Coinpot.co - new microwallet on: December 24, 2017, 12:47:43 AM
Moonbitcoin just posted on twitter:

Apologies for the extended downtime due to server failure. We are working hard to get the service back up asap. Don't worry - your earnings and loyalty bonuses are all safe!
Finally some news from their side. It's good to hear that we won't loose our loyalty bonuses.
This is the basic official announcement thread for https://coinpot.co/
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2007856.0

... Support is always available at support@coinpot.co

So, what's the point of official announcement if it's locked and support via email isn't available because they ignore received messages?
8580  Other / Meta / Re: Theme for mobile phones on: December 23, 2017, 09:41:33 PM
I think that new forum software http://beta.bitcointalk.org wil have mobile friendly interface. But it's hard to predict, when it will be released.
It's not likely that theymos will update current SMF version by adding theme for mobile.
I agree with user above - current version of forum looks good enough on mobile screens and I don't have problems to browse forum with my smartphone.
