861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to gamble on: April 04, 2023, 12:33:06 PM
How you can gamble in the afternoon? are you don't have any job? most people will gamble in the evening because that's the time where majority of people are back from their company and have a free time especially on the weekend.

It's more fun to gamble on the weekend because there are many gamblers and sexy girl which you can make fun with it.

Maybe he works from home or works in the evenings/night. Everybody just gambles when they have time; I have a 9-5 job so best time for me is also in the evening just because I am free.
862  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Things I've learned day trading Bitcoin for 3 years (successfully) on: April 03, 2023, 09:40:35 PM
Good tips but I don’t agree with nr 4. I have yet to meet an influencer who offers valuable insights in crypto trading. For stocks, that can be interesting but crypto is different.
We need to stick to our strategy but its hard when you are new. When you see your profits grow, you can become greedy and not stick to your strategy anymore.
863  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Websites like BSpin.io ? on: April 03, 2023, 09:35:18 PM

Seem the usual way of promoting a casino. BSpin will have to continue this 30 sats every 20 mins until they get more users as well. Betfury stopping the boxes and making them available for rank 2 users can decrease users' activity. That experiment will likely backfire.

Now that this is announced here, its a signal to visit BSpin.io  Grin  So what is the catch with this casino?

Probably bspin will later on add extra requirements as there will be abuse. I am also interested if any other casinos have a faucet/free boxes. Some have a wheel where you can win crypto (i.e. bc game) but that’s not really the same.
864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will you sell Shib now? Am holding on: April 03, 2023, 04:52:40 AM
According to a recent Twitter post by @Finbold, a financial news and information platform, Shib has emerged as the most popular token held by Ethereum whales. Upon encountering this news via CoinMarketCap's news feed this morning, I had originally intended to sell my Shib. However, the announcement has led me to believe that Shib could perform exceptionally well this year. As a Shib enthusiast, I would encourage others to hold onto their tokens as we may witness prosperous times ahead, and our patience may result in significant reward.

Coins like doge, shib, floki won't experience another rise like they see a couple years ago.  They were fads and everyone is still holding a bag of them hoping for the rise.  If everyone is already holding a bag the sell pressure as it rises will be too big to over come.  I think over time these coins will fade into obscurity like most coins eventually succumb to.  I wouldn't hold long.

A lot of these meme coins will probably cease to exist but you never know what will happen with crypto. I bought SHIB at around 30 satoshis and will probably hold it a little bit. I don’t expect a lot but it is play money and with some luck it can still go x5 or x10.
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Say Goodbye to Scams and Hello to Egg Coin on: April 02, 2023, 09:25:08 PM
Never heard of it before and no team/owner seems a recipe for failure. There needs to be someone in charge who sets up the guidelines or make the roadmap. Just letting it over to the community is pretty risk in my eyes.
866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: April 02, 2023, 09:21:17 PM
Alcaraz may seem a size too big for other tennis players at the moment. And to think that we haven't even started the gravel tournament in Europe yet. So that will soon be even more in favor of Alcaraz, I suspect. It is also possible that we will only see Nadal for a few more games. I think he just wants to play tennis at the highest level. Sinner is also a huge talent, but the question is whether he can seriously compete with the real world top. He seems to be just below that at the moment. Especially if you compare him with Djokovic and Alcaraz, for example.

Alcaraz is without doubt the most talented of all young players at the moment. However, that doesn't mean other players can't get closer to him. There are several ways to become number 1 in the world. Roger Federer and Murray are good examples of this. Federere is a player who was incredibly talented, perhaps the most talented ever. But Murry managed to beat him a few times because he worked harder for it, trained harder but also put in more effort to win points. You can go far with a fighting spirit. And Djokovic has both, which is why he has won so much.

It is normal that even the best players in the world can not win all matches. Nadal is the best ever on Clay and his record on Roland Garrod will probably never been broken but also he lost (2 times I think). That doesn’t mean he did put less effort in but sometimes you have a less good day and your opponent has the best day of its life.

yes I have understood a little that the calculation system is not what I thought and I read a little about what you meant, glad to hear your answer and also @babygun at least add to my experience on how the parimutuel betting pool system works, I think it's better to try betting others like sports betting and it looks like it is a lot quicker profitable than sticking to bitcoin price predictions and waiting for a month.  Wink

It is a different system of betting and you need to get used to it, but it can be interesting! Don’t give the betting on the BTC predictions yet, the odds can be really interesting but crypto is volatile so it can change quickly.
869  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲 StarBets.io 🎲 || A Crypto-based iGaming Platform 🎲 on: April 02, 2023, 06:06:48 AM
Anyone been lucky on this casino,  I was attracted to this casino domain name few weeks ago and I made an account made some deposits and placed some few bets I lost them all but I did not give up but made another deposit to further try my luck and still I lost again.

-Trying not to give up on this site I don't know why my luck has not really shine in star et whom I thought I will spend quality time on.

Did you play on the slots or on the inhouse games? Compared to other sites, they have a higher house edge (2%) than other sites but you will earn some tokens that will give you a dividend which makes them attractive. Right now it is also pretty easy to accumulate the Star tokens.
870  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: April 01, 2023, 09:13:11 PM
Good news coming from Eddie, but before that, I congratulate Stake.com on its growth to become one of the 7th largest casinos in the world....

I too saw this article and was very happy and excited for Stake!  The only area where I didn't think the article gave the site enough credit was it's support.  Stake was one of the first sites with live 24/7 support and that was a huge plus for the crypto gaming industry.  Their growth has been incredible over the last year and they deserve all the accolades they have received, clearly crypto, privacy, and gambling go together!

So congratulations all around!

Wow that’s a massive achievement and they have grown tremendously! They have set the bar with their wagering contests (with a 1 million dollar prizepool) and their partnerships (with Drake and the UFC). I am curious to see what the future will hold.

True, if gamblers are comfortable in one casino, then they will feel at home there. And with lots of games it will make them more comfortable, as you say if they get bored in one game, they will move on to other games without having to move to another casino site. Various games will create a special attraction for users, especially if there are many games that are liked by the player. Actually, many have said this, even I myself have said, I just want to emphasize it again here that trust is the main thing.
There are many factors to increase the trust of gamblers so that they will not switch to another casino, one of which is having a lot of varied gambling games, fair play, fast service and others, so every top casino has all these factors to increase the trust of regular users and new users, but there is a special strategy that the casino has to give bonuses to each user every month so that the user will not switch to another casino.

You are right in that and some easy ways to increase the trust is having a license. It takes a while to build a reputation, but you can loose it very quickly. Good and correct costumer support is critical but some sites don’t pay enought attention to that.

"Estimated odds for this outcome. Actual odds will be calculated after betting ends for this event."

so the current calculation will be useless for betting at the beginning because the outcome odds only apply when this bet is closed, not the calculation at the time of betting, this is so not interesting for me to bet again because it turns out that the outcome odds calculation is only calculated when the bet is closed.

That’s the concept of paramutual betting; the final odds can be higher or lower. It is an interesting concept and it can be rewarding but you just need to browse around at other websites to see what the odds are like for soccer and tennis matches.
873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar Loses €1M in Casino in Just an Hour on: March 31, 2023, 05:06:58 AM
There seems to be a trend that more and more famous people get into gambling (Drake, Snoop Dogg, now Neymar). Loosing 1 million $ is a lot of money for all of us but for Neymar it is almost pocket change. I don’t really see the need of writing articles like this, but everybody likes a bit of sensation and drama lol.

I had 99k RP on my account yesterday. Freebitco.in is running 3× RP promotions now. They are giving 3 RP for every 500 Satoshi wager. I just took the opportunity and made some wager to reach the 100k RP milestone. It took more than two years to reach the 100k RP mark again! The last time I reached this milestone in the February month of 2021.

I was going to congratulate you, but I see that last time you converted it into 0.001 btc, which means you spent a year saving up to get $25. Seems like a long time for such a small amount, this is why most users prefer to use PRs in other ways. Anyway, it looks like you're happy, so congratulations.

Congrats Mahdirakib, it took a while but you did it! The reward of 25$ may see small but it also adds up and it is almost free money, if you didn’t loose to much while wagering. I don’t agree that there are better ways to spend RP’s,I think it is always better to convert them while you can even if it takes a while.
876  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: March 31, 2023, 04:39:53 AM
By the way
How do you know the gambler didn’t use risk management
I know it is unlikely (but not impossible!) that this person has many millions or even billions of dollars and this loss represent just a small % of their fortune
It's obvious that he didn't. The most important thing in risk management is to know how to manage your bankroll. Can you imagine how much money you need to have to be able to place a bet of 1.4 million dollars on 1.01 odds without affecting your bankroll. You will need billions of dollars so you can recover such loss (supposing you are too lucky).
Regardless of the cause (gambling addiction, being reckless..), that gambler took a huge risk and he lost, that's it.

I can agree with what you say, but maybe he is a billionaire and then losing 1.4 million is peanuts for him. Money management is indeed crucial but far from easy also. It just also shows that there are no real sure bets and that it is never a good idea to bet on such low odds.
877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 29, 2023, 09:34:56 PM
Seeing Tsitsipas lose to Khachanov was unexpected and after always winning his meetings with Khachanov this was the first defeat and Khachanov beat him in a convincing performance.
What was unexpected for me here was the fact that bookies placed Khachanov as favorite. I leapt at the opportunity and lost quite a lot on money on Tsitsipas. I had him to take at least one set @1.4 which seemed like free money and to win @2.1. In the end it seems that bookies knew something we didn't.

Sorry for your loss, that would have been a nice win! I am not really following any tennis for the moment but why always combining multiple bets? You won the other 2 bets and than the last bet fails you. Sometimes the bookmakers know it better than we, but they can be wrong also  Wink.

<snip>
I am one of those users who really got disappointed from the last xmas promotion. I am good with higher wagering amount to get a ticket... but personally I think some of the tasks from that promotion was far uneasy compared to the previous ones. It was way more challenging and need to wager a lot & take big risks just to get the reward.
It was still a good promotion though, generally.

I think we all agree that the last xmas promotion was less good than we all hoped, guess the time of free money is over. The challenges are fun but are also designed to so the casino will win in the end. But we need to be happy that they host these kind of promotions and they offer a lot of sports promotions also every week.

@Klarki, I don’t really know this provider and apparently they are focusing more on the mobile market. They seem to have some slots with a nice design and one of the more popular ones is Genie’s secret. I might try a couple of slots from this provider just to check it out.
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dollar Neutral Cross Margin Trades is where it's at on: March 29, 2023, 09:06:03 AM
Everyone focuses on cryptocurrencies against the US Dollar,
But by using cross margin trades from crypto-to-crypto, such as XMR/BTC or FIL/ETH,

Altcoin/BTC trading pairs were popular up until 2018. After that market shifted to trading against stablecoins and Altcoin/BTC  or altcoin/ETH trading pairs day by day were losing volume and liquidity more and more and thus the spread became unacceptable and the low volume only makes AT on these pairs practically meaningless, because this chart is only the result of other charts. There is no real volume. Just arbitrage traders and marketmakers. also flash crash is much more likely.

I think it was popular a bit after that as I traded a few times around 2-3 years ago some bitcoin for altcoin. That time it was possible to find ‘value’ and made some profit out of it. Nowadays I just buy all coins with fiat money.
