862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of ICOs on: September 08, 2017, 06:54:34 AM
And china is not banning ICOs indefinitely but are holding back any ICOs that doesn't go along new rules developed by them making Chinese ICO market a better one.
863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Comparison of Crypto Choices: XRP Against Bitcoin and Ethereum on: September 08, 2017, 01:17:11 AM
Ripple could be an investment in very long term but right now it is falling down. If you  watch the whole graph of XRP of all time you will have basic idea what is it. I'd wait until he is down to 90-95%+ and i'd bought from there.

Ripple is one of the earliest token which is not publicly audit-able.
I don't think ripple will have any future at all.
864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: $257 Million: Filecoin Breaks All-Time Record for ICO Funding on: September 08, 2017, 01:14:14 AM
Are the bans and warnings on ICOs gravely serious? If it is, then why are the known venture capitalists like Sequoia Capital and Andreessen Horowitz still investing millions in ICOs?

Is the Chinese, Russian, US governments and others giving these warnings because they are scared people can fund themselves without their permission and authority?

You seem to habitually fail to pay attention to important details.

That ICO began on August 10, and only $3 million was raised in past 3 days since ICO bad news.

…as accredited investors swamped the CoinList website

It is legal ICO issuance with proper disclosures and was sold only to accredited investors. It is not these scammy ICOs we’ve been seeing that are not correctly issued under appropriate exemption from registration.

More importantly, even legal token issuance will mean those tokens are restricted securities that can only be sold on regulated exchanges. They can’t be traded decentralized and thus are not a cryptocurrency.

More details:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2146838.msg21616747#msg21616747

The message is clear, legit companies or project would prosper while the scammy ICOs won't get anything.
Even the countries currently banning ICO are making rules for investment.
865  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 satoshi = 1 US cent? In next 5 years? on: September 08, 2017, 01:10:50 AM
By that time, the transaction fees would be too much.  Smiley

That's why we need improvement in bitcoin.
Transaction fees should be adjusted with price, making a price of transaction constant. Miners too won't have any problem as their reward would be more predictable.
866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: QTUM vs NEO on: September 07, 2017, 03:54:45 PM
Neo too is backed up by some strong Chinese brains while QTUM seems to be more marketing oriented scheme.
As, the newer techs are being built in china, NEO migth have better users.

I think there is some fact you should know, the NEO was delisted on some Chinese exchange platforms after the ICO regulation, so the strong Chinese brains is not so strong in my opinion.

Just Yunbi delisted NEO and they have nearly no volume at all.
Large volume exchange are exchaning NEO and Chinese authority has brought regulations for running an ICO in China.
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A group of hackers installed cryptocurrency mining malware on 9000 computers ove on: September 07, 2017, 03:47:39 PM
In new research reported by Russia Today, the provider said it had unearthed two Russian hacker groups which were hijacking machines to mine Monero and Zcash, among other cryptocurrencies.

The hackers controlled one batch of 4000, and another of 5000 computers.

More: https://cointelegraph.com/news/russian-hackers-used-9000-computers-to-mine-monero-zcash-other-cryptocurrencies

This has been done before in PCs and mobiles, that's one of the reason why most of the miners are flagged by antivirus engines.
868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BCH Wallet For Jaxx on: September 07, 2017, 03:46:17 PM
Hi there,

Does anybody know what the latest status is with Jaxx and their proposed Bitcoin Cash wallet?

I had Bitcoin in there at the time of the hard fork and heard they were supporting a BCH wallet.

Thanks!

You should rather claim the bitcoincash with the private keys already rather than waiting for BCH wallet in Jaxx. I don't think they are directly converting your bitcoin keys to BCH.
869  Economy / Economics / Re: Condos in Dubai for sale in Bitcoins on: September 07, 2017, 03:42:56 PM
It's a good start for generalisation of bitcoin use. We can see hotels and restaurants accepting bitcoins, but recently the fees are a big issue for at least the payers.
870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you like slot games ? on: September 04, 2017, 02:52:18 PM
I do not like slot machines, you just press button and slot make some spins and stop, so where is the fun? Some slots are so colorful that I feel dizziness after looking at it for more then a minute.
That is not good for your mind, slot machines, you do not use your brain cells in quality way, you just press and press button for more spins. I can not imagine what kind of strategy you can apply
on slot machines?
There are much better gambling games, where you actually use your brain and you need to have skills if you wish to win. I respect everyone`s choices, I just expressed my opinion about slots.
You are right the slot games are not more entertaining after playing few minutes we will get bored. But many players will like this game. Why because it is easy to play and if we have the luck we can make a big profit in just a few minutes. It is just spin and stops game but some people will enjoy this method, and they like to play this type of games. I will play slot games very rarely.

Slot games are really based on pure luck - if we are after profit, we rarely get it with slot games because of the house edge and there is no way for us to really input some skills on the game. Although we can setup some betting percentage and all that, it is still not enough and the odds will always be against us. Better play it just for fun and entertainment with no intention of profiting.

I don't think anyone who's playinh slots are seriously thinking of actually making profits. Most of the time it's just to pass time and enjoy a few rounds of doing what you're not sure of doing Cheesy
Even on past time i dont really see that slot games are entertaining besides chances of hitting is really slim which i normally got pissed off. Pulling lever or rolling out isnt really enjoyable thing for me,i dont know why some people do really love to play slots. Its just good of 1-2 rolls and im done for that day.
When you start to win and earn coins by just pulling the lever, then this game will be interesting for you. Because you are getting profit from it without doing any hard work. But the same way if you start to lose your money this is also interesting you will play to get back your loss. When this game is boring means when you play with free coins.

They are good for fun. But as I grew older, I started thinking about probability and profitability, slots generally lacks both.
871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think that those who own and run casinos are criminals or conmen? on: September 04, 2017, 02:50:27 PM
They are just businessman like a shopkeeper or a movie producer.
They deliver what people want and take their cut from it.
872  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Fees - - - WOW on: September 04, 2017, 02:46:38 PM
Just go with electrum.
You'll always have your private keys with you and you can decide the fees (low fees transaction though slower, works).
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Chinese exchange on ICO ban on: September 04, 2017, 02:42:26 PM
Binanace, a Chinese finance not only confirmed the ban, but also hinted, trading of tokens could be risky on Chinese exchanges (or so I suppose with this text).

874  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Neteller and BTC on: September 03, 2017, 04:16:31 AM
I suggest you to get direct traders through local bitcoins. You can easily find the rating and reviews of individual traders and their fees are generally cheaper.
875  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: i find site similar to bitcointalk on: September 03, 2017, 04:14:49 AM
There are many people trying to create a platform similar to this forum.
They may or may not create an equal platform but what makes this forum different from others is this forum is solely operated by the early bitcoin contributors with non-profit use.
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to build a decentralised Facebook? on: September 03, 2017, 04:12:55 AM
This is what Steem was supposed to be.
They are both "social media" but Steem seems different in use to Fabebook

With the rise of many decentralized techs like decentralized storage, sharing and hosting, it is totally possible we see a totally decentralized social network.
877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's causing this bloodbath? on: September 03, 2017, 04:11:19 AM
This is how economy has been working/works.
Crypto market is too now a part of world economy.
And smaller and larger moves by the miners, holders, traders and authorities will have effect on the individual as well as the market as whole.
878  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Good wallet to store Bitcoin Cash ? on: August 31, 2017, 10:46:31 AM
I'm using Coinomi currently to store all my Bitcoin cash but i want to split them and send the other half to another wallet.
Any wallet with a high security level can be used to store Bitcoin Cash ?

I would use btc.com if you want a web wallet. They have recently launched this service and it seems pretty nice. But make sure that you do not store too much in there because ultimately, it is a web wallet, and it's less secure.

For desktop clients you can basically use any of the suggested wallets on bitcoincash.org.

Personally when i split my bitcoin cash i used electron cash and had no issues. It's just a clone of electrum, for bitcoin cash. See here for a complete list of wallets that are endorse by the bitcoin cash team: https://www.bitcoincash.org/

Honestly though i would just dump my BCH as soon as i get it...
Thank you but i'm kind of looking for a software wallet or an android wallet if possible

the btc.com bitcoin cash wallet is also available for android.

I too would recommend btc.com's bch wallet. I've used it without issue, collected my scattered BCHs there before sending them to an exchange.
879  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Minergate! SCAM on: August 31, 2017, 10:44:56 AM
Well, even if you use their miner, it s obvious payouts re significantly lower to you mining yourself.

Significantly lower? How so? They just take 1% commission for their services. It can't be significantly lower.

I haven't even realized anything like that when mining through their miner in their pool. I've used different miners to the pool as well and the hashrates and daily coins (cryptonight at least) is better in minergate.
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: what MOBO for mining? on: August 31, 2017, 10:31:13 AM
i  think  ausu  prime z270A is the best, 9 GPUs.

Another vote for this board!  I'm running 9 x 1070 with this board right now.

I'm going to make a rig and I've this thing in my local store.
Does it directly support 9 GPUs or what devices or process I need to do to make this happen?
