I'm running 3 290s on an 850W Corsair. (single 12V rail ftw)

Undervolted and underclocked they pull less than 200W doing 800 kh. They'll do 875 if you don't mind them pulling another 75W as well. Not really worth it from an efficiency point of view imo.

What setting you using to achieve that, or more specifically, how much did you undervolt and what's your core / mem speed
863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Using Cloud Servers on: January 20, 2014, 07:29:40 AM
So if I understood this right, you choose a plan and according to the plan you can mine with 1,2 or 4 cores? So essentially this is for CPU mining? Is it even worth it? Can you get your monthly ROI? Probably not or else everyone would have done it already, including the hosting company.

BTC though: Unstable rates...

For now Smiley Market will stable in the upcoming years and so will the price.

866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sapphire R9 290 900+ kh/s on: January 19, 2014, 05:43:26 PM
Hi all

I'm trying to get me 2 sapphire R9 290 cards over 900 kh/s.

I'm currently at 890-895.  I just want to make 900  Grin

Currently running at

thread-concurrency 20481
I 20
gpu-engine 1015
gpu-memclock 1500
gpu-powertune 20

Temps are on 68c

I've tried adjusting everything plus and minus abit each way, but either says the same or drops.

Which Sapphire r9-290 are you using? Here's a list http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1227&pid=0&psn=000101&lid=1&leg=0
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 1000w for 3x r9 290 on: January 19, 2014, 05:28:40 PM
As the title implies: Will be able to power 3x r9 290 with a single 1000w PSU? I can get this Tesla R2 1000W for rather cheap.

It is the most powerful, electrically efficient miner that will ever be produced.
Source? Especially on the 'ever' part
871  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / A few question regarding building a mining rig on: January 19, 2014, 12:27:46 AM
1. Is this a good mobo for a 3x GPU mining rig? http://www.asrock.com/mb/NVIDIA/M3N78D%20FX/ or https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4A77T/#specifications
2. What exactly do you look for in a mobo for mining?
3. How can you determine how much power your GPU will consume during hashing (say at intensity 18) so that you can buy the correct PSU? Planning on getting 3x r9 290 and according to this forum a 1000w psu (gold) will be enough.

Thanks a lot, exactly what I was looking for!
874  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox > Bitstamp on: January 18, 2014, 04:20:38 PM
To the best of my knowledge, exchange prices are a result of how easy / hard it is to withdraw / deposit money in said exchange website, as well as how big the exchange volume is.
875  Bitcoin / Mining / Calculator with difficulty increment every 10 days on: January 18, 2014, 03:57:18 PM
As title says, is there such a "profit" calculator?

Because so far the following calculators (unless I'm missing something) don't do justice with difficulty increase, and kinda, well, overlook it:

http://www.bitcoinx.com/profit/
http://bitcoinminingcalculator.org/index.php?ghs=180&diff=1789546951.05&cdiff=1789546951.05&fee=2#nextdifficulty (was closest I could find, but it only does it for the next increment and that's it)
http://www.coinish.com/calc/

According to Bitcoin difficulty history, there has been average of 30% increase in difficulty every 10 days +- since mid August and I couldn't find a calculator that will do a 30% difficulty increments every 10 days.

P.S. I tried to search the forum and couldn't find.
876  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: January 17, 2014, 09:15:30 PM
Is there any particular reason I am being ignored by bitmain?

Not that it matters, as I got confirmed by MtGox (cheers ^^) today so I'll be taking my money elsewhere. But seriously, horrible customer service.

Bitmain, check your PM please.

Possible to pay via PayPal? I have yet to accumulate enough BTC (and I can't buy via MtGox or other websites as I am new to the BTC scene and have yet to be verified on those websites though I have sent my verification documents to a few already).

Sure when people start dumping these on ebay.  Since you are new, you'll find Paypal is not fond of Bitcoin because of chargebacks and providers inability to deliver on time (and thus complaints).  Your best bet is to get coins via Coinbase (waiting period) or localbitcoins (sometimes huge markup).

I know it'd be better to buy using BTC but I currently haven't got any and I'm still in the validation period in the markets where you can buy.
And honestly I wouldn't mind if he'd post the sale on eBay and I'd buy it via there, though eBay takes a big cut which is a shame.

Anyway, original question was addressed for BITMAIN.
