861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 21, 2024, 05:01:00 AM
The game of gambling isn't something that people with low patience can survive be it the different types of gambling @sports betting  @casino games like dice and slots, patience is still the key to survive. Sometimes anxiousness and anxiety can make a gambler take decision that he might end up regretting.

Today I experience this ill feeling although am okay now but I thought I should share my experience and thought with some of the gamblers here to see if we are on the same page.

I made a very wrong decision on a game I staked today and this is unlike me because I don't normally check on my games until its settled because sometimes you will tempted with some crazy things like cash-out which is what I did today and although you won't blame me to some extent but still if I was patient enough as the final results if the games came through and Instead of winning the whole money, I got only a fraction of the funds.
I don't agree. I've made some rash and irrational decisions on dice that ended up paying off huge. Sometimes taking a risk is how you get rich. I've had some massive hits on dice playing crazy. I've also had some massive losses, just saying that sometimes risk and no patience can pay off. I don't suggest it, but if you can afford the risk ya know.
I really do agree with this user here, gambling have nothing to do with patience, it's more about luck and make the right selection.
We need to understand that gambling is not an investment that we should be patient with till it blossom. I have seen this many times that people that don't even gambles at all, once they decide to make a bet, their selection always look crazy but most of them are lucky enough to get a very good winning that you that have been gambling for years have not even imagined winning, so to me it's more about luck and making the right decisions.
862  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Financial management and Time management on: January 20, 2024, 04:35:08 PM
Guy man you don talk well, most people no understand say money management na the ogbonge key in our everyday lives, because no matter how your income small reach, their is always a way to use manage your self so that you no go dy beg people, cos na dat one dy cos see finish.
Most people for this life dy underate financial management, but dem no know say without it, even if you dy earn millions weekly, one day your pocket go run dry due to bad money management skill.

Time management na another thing wey people just dy underate, dem no know say time pass money, anytime wey you lost, is lost forever.
Look at those people wey wey dy push wheel barrow for market, during their youthful, hustling and carreer building stage of their lives, if you look, dem been no serious with building their finance, now wey e don dy late, na now dem don dy go push wheel barrow for market as if, na now wey day just break
863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 20, 2024, 03:56:00 PM
Arsenal experienced an improvement compared to their performance in the first half. Their rhythm of play in the second half looked quite good and it looked like they were really dominating the game. Meanwhile, Crystal Palace, although they had several chances, it was a shame they didn't have a good finishing touch. What I see is that their enthusiasm and efforts are slackening, and I think the 2 goals from Arsenal in the first half were the cause. In the final minutes, Crystal Palace really had a nightmare.
5 goals without reply were the result of Arsenal victory today, the hat trick created by Martinelli made Arsenal currently sit in 3rd place in the English Premier League standings, today game really every line was controlled by Arsenal and they did even have the freedom to play the rhythm of their game, i don't know what happened at Crystal Palace today but what is certain is that none of the Crystal Palace players stood out and were able to make a difference in their game, to be honest, it was quite sad to see Roy Hudson expression when Martinelli managed to score two goals in the final minutes of injury time, for some reason, I felt quite sorry for Roy Hudson face, which looked like he wanted to cry.
Arsenal now is fire. Their last two goals in extra time were fantastic.  Arsenal are currently in the third position of the points table but their next match is before man city if they win that match they will move to the second position.  Their next match is much easier so hopefully they can do it.  It was pretty much certain that they would win the match today but we could not predict that they would win by such a big margin. Arsenal played really well today
Of a Truth this arsenal team is really good when they all are on the top of their game, but the major issue I have with this arsenal team is consistency, just look at how they just brush crystal palace aside convincingly, but for them to maintain this title push is very difficult due to their lack of consistency.
If they can be consistent enough during the cause of this season, then I see them going all the way.

Burkina Faso vs Algeria
OK, right now, we are live in the second half of the game and currently, Burkina Faso is leading with one goal, while Algeria is yet to score, though I must not do without stating that Algeria are really playing a very good game, they had the best ball possessions in the first half and did miss quite a number of goals.

Burkina Faso on the other hand did their best too, and speaking on their goal, I think they were very lucky with that one, the goal keeper would have easily saved that goal if not that konate was really close and headed the ball straight into the goal post, that is what I call "being at the right place at the very right time", congratulations to them, and I hope they are able to defend this goal and possibly score even more goals on this second half, though I strongly doubt Algeria will let them.

This game have really lived up to the hype,  because I was telling someone about Burkina Faso, how is see them as the dark horse in this tournament, just look at the kind of performance they have put in today, even though the Algerian team is dominanting much of the ball, the Burkina babes have really showed that they are no push over.
Right now they are leading Algeria 2-1 at it stance.

As Day goes by in out country, things continue to worsen and our government is not doing anything about it in any way. Many of us are trying our best to meet up with normal Day to day daily bread, house rent and other things as we are also trying to accumulate bitcoin and our naira value just dey continue to fuck us up.

Even if its only a total sum of 5$ that can keep on going into bitcoin every week , my brother its something.
It might be small for now but as the popular quote says 'a tall tower is built but by a single block beign placed upon another'.

There is light at the end of the tunnel and one day You can end up realising how far you've gone in accumulating bitcoin and that smile would be on your face as one of those who never quit on it.
My brother, person wey give up nai fuck up, see we wey be Nigerian we know sabi give up, because we don see the good the bad and the ugly, though things dy get worse by the day, i just believe say as long as God still keep us alive, him still get better plans for us.

866  Economy / Trading Discussion / Why people mostly fail in trading on: January 20, 2024, 07:32:06 AM
Trading is not a get rich quick scheme as most newbie think, it's more difficult that we all can imagine, but their is always a way to navigate your way in trading so  as to come out profitable.
The main reason why most trader fail in trading is that they are not trained in the craft, most experience traders as they call their self don't even know how to identify the least support and resistance, talkless of knowing how to react when they see some certain chart pattern or candle stick pattern.
The skills I  believe that are  required to come out profitable in trading are;

* Knowledge: know the craft, know what you are doing, don't trade on assumption.

* Know how to control your emotions: it's very important that you know how to control your emotions like fear and greed in trading.

* Know how to manage your risk: knowledge and emotional control gives you money, but proper risk management skill protect your money and your gains

most mistakes of traders are;

* Thinking it's a get rich quick scheme or thinking that it's easy.

* Having no proper training in the craft to attain knowledge about it.

* Watching one two or three video's on YouTube by one YouTube influencer and think they are ready for it or thinking they have known the craft.

* Having no experience traders that is good in the craft to guide them.

Senegal 2-0 Cameroon
This game from the beginning was very exciting and entertaining, with Senegal continuously proving why they were the champions the last time at every given point of the game. It's not like Cameroon are not applying pressure but it's sad to note that they are yet to get a shot on target since the game started.
Right now, the Indomitable lions of Cameroon are being dominated by the Taranga lions of Senegal and the home side is doing it without apologies, leading by two goals, I don't see Cameroon coming back from this.
Cameroon have already got one goal back. 2-1 now.
It would be a shame to miss the Senegal and Cameroon match, even though I can only enjoy the excitement via streaming broadcasts, not live television.
Apart from always being interesting and entertaining through the actions shown by Senegal and Kameru, I want to see how the Manchester United goalkeeper, Onana, reports on many social media pages that Onana is angry because he is not playing.
Onana's performance was also not very good when he was in charge of guarding Cameroon's goal.
With the kind of performance the Senegalese team has put in today, am quite convince that they are really a force to be reckon with, and I also see them as the favourite in this year African cup of nations.
Then for the Cameroonian team though they still have a lifeline for qualifications if they can win their next and final game, but they have been relatively poor in defense and in front of goal, they will need to make an improvement from this past two performance if they are going to make an impact in this year African cup of nations.
868  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Holding fiat not the best against Inflation on: January 19, 2024, 03:45:15 PM
Of a truth, wetin you talk no be lie, holding fiat, naira to be precise na very bad mistake wey we as Nigerian dy make sometimes, it's already been proven that the best way to hold money  is to hold it in anything that appreciate in value overtime, something like Bitcoin, gold and land, even if you dy stubborn say you must hold fiat, make e no be naira, make e be dollars, because people wey been buy dollars at the rate of 750 naira last year, go still dy at a profit because dollars now na 1350 naira.
As naira dy so, 1 million naira now and 1million naira next year no go be the same, because inflation go reduce the value of that amount before then.

So as e be so, I dy advice anyone wey wan hold money, make him hold am in Bitcoin, gold or land, because na dem be the real deal

I did expected the Ghana vs Egypt to be a closed contest affair, but one player that really caught my attention and which I really do believe that he is a star in the making is kudus, that guy is a really good player, he is always a threat when he is around the opposition box, but one point in 2 games for a top class team like Ghana is unacceptable, so it makes their final group game a must win if they are to scale through into the knockout stage, either by coming out 2nd or as a best loser.
871  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Are you following your purpose or money? on: January 18, 2024, 02:32:11 PM
In the the society we find ourselves, following one's purpose differs, I said so because it all boils down to the background you were raised from, how financial stable they are.
See to tell you the truth, the street are not friendly, I know of a guy that is very good at football and we all thought that this guy is a star in the making, he makes football looks easy on the eye, but due to hardship and hunger, this guy gradually stops playing ball since he hads to go in search for his daily bread. The hunger he face most times after training compel him to go look for a job, which limited him and now look at him today, he don't even have time for himself talkless of having time for football.
What am trying to say is that situations and the country we find ourselves might make you to forget your purpose entirely and be chasing money and a better life.

873  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Between placing a wife on monthly allowance and opening business for her on: January 18, 2024, 11:08:33 AM
Look at the world today a very high rate of married women don't like seating at home doing nothing, they want to have a life outside marriage, and besides taking care of the kids and the home is not a job but it's a responsibility which must be done.
In this current economy it's very advisable that you have a supportive wife financially,.I know that most men feel insecure when their wives are working but they don't know how beneficial it is to the family.
Nothing gives me joy than when my wife is capable of taking care of the family if I am not around, or just imagine how the family is going to cope with difficulty if you lose your job.
So in this current world economy, it very important that as a man, your wife should also give an assisting hands financially.

Actually it not just in cryptocurrency, almost in all professions, when their is a fail money management strategy, you are always bound to crumble at some point in time, so I think risk and money management is key in whatever profession or business you find yourself in.
Anyone can make money in business, but not everyone has the money management skill required to protect that money, which i do believe is the key.
