Oh how sad!  I know why nobody is here!  They're out partying on a Friday night, and I have no life and sit here hoping someone will discuss DACs "Distributed Autonomous Corporations".  Sigh, I'm such an old geek.............. Cry Undecided Lips sealed Tongue

Welp, I'm gonna try and get some sleep ;P

Considering what damage normal corporations do, I find it hard to imagine them being anything but a bad idea.

Edit: In the sense that they are already essential amoral algorithmic profit/rent seeking entities so making them more efficient aka DAC's will just worsen the problem. I mean just look at the whole nuclear sized clusterfucks that HFT(High Frequency Trading) causes. Unless perhaps they abided by some other parameters, but those DAC's they would make less money then less people would invest in them and they would have a smaller impact anyway.

What if there is an entity that is funded, maybe with a bunch of coins from the begining, and only the income those coins make, say in masternodes, is allowed to be allocated toward development.  And any project is voted on, given the OK.  That way, as the coin is adopted by more and more people, and the value goes up, so does the value of those coins that are allowed to be spent (in real value) and therefore they can pay for more projects and the whole thing can scale.

The way corporations work today has nothing to do with DAC's.  In fact they're emotionless, and autonomous.

In a way, it'd be quite amazing.  How can you sue a DAC?  You could never get it to pay out!  Not unless you get the whole voting network to agree to do so.  Which wouild be unlikely.  And it would be as impossible to shut down as any coin. So it could be programed to work for the benefit of the coin, and the coin alone.  You've got to think outside the box and words you're used to.  Like me, I considered myself a capitalist, I have an idea of what that means in my head, but you youngens taught me that the word has changed which makes me now an anarchist, which used to mean pure chaos to me, which I don't agree with.  So go back to a basic foundational meaning for corporation... which it isn't even, because it's not associated with any people!  But it does have to have voting shares.

Anyway, listen to some Andreas Antonoupolos talks, they're amazing, they'll make you think totally outside the box!

+1
Sounds like a decentralized positive feed back loop based on quality, productivity, democracy and proof of smartness (POSm), this could be huge.

In depth predictive statistical analysis of troll like anti-social behavior for potential future banned users (FBUs) ...

Characterizing antisocial behavior.
We compare the activity of users who are later banned from a community, or
Future-Banned Users (FBUs), with that of users who were
never banned, or Never-Banned Users (NBUs).
By analyzing the language of their posts, we find significant differences
between these two groups. For example, FBUs tend to write
less similarly to other users, and their posts are harder to un-
derstand according to standard readability metrics. They are
also more likely to use language that may stir further conflict
(e.g., they use less positive words and use more profanity).

http://arxiv.org/pdf/1504.00680v1.pdf

Predicting future banning.
Last, we show that a user’s posting behavior can be used to make predictions about who
will be banned in the future. Inspired by our empirical analysis,
we design features that capture various aspects of antisocial behavior: post content, user activity, community response,
and the actions of community moderators. We find that we can predict with over 80% AUC (area under the ROC
curve) whether a user will be subsequently banned.
In fact, we only need to observe 5 to 10 user’s posts before a classifier is able to make a reliable prediction. Further, cross-
domain classification performance remains high, suggesting that the features indicative of antisocial behavior
that we discover are not community-specific.

Because of blockchain bloat problem, I think extra services like this should have a sidechain.

Not if the masternodes hosted the look up tables on the local drives, 4 bytes could reference 2^32 or 4.3 billion potential slots in a data file ?

SO.  My ask.  I would like to use this service with DASH and get things moving.   Right now we charge to register a Vanikey ($6) but we can skip that for the DASH community.   We have developers that can help fill any holes or issues the group feels need to be fixed and we also have resources to help integrate the services into any other system that is out there.      We are also working with Factom as a 3rd party to show that any key served up by our services has not been modified.

We can even use the DASH QT wallet to create the Vanikey so you never have to use our site.    Looking for the BEST solution for the end user.    Why can't John just pay Susan.   This whole Xazjg6a7dt7uUtE1FGhxaRAaSvR7QVA2p! pays Xazjg6a7dt7uUtE1FGhxaRAaSvR7QVA33 is just crap.    You don't have to stop being private when you want to but for god sakes, I'm just talking about your PUBLIC keys.   You have public keys on your tags and you sites have them as donation links.   these should all be readable and thats it.    I want to donate to the dash foundation.   ok,  send 5 DASH to DashFoundation.    simple.
...

Thanks guys.   website =  www.vanikey.com

hit me up,   Support@vanikey.com

Til later!    Also, I am happy to be a part of this community and have 7 MNs and very close to adding another 3.

Love the idea of being able to send to a name instead of a long hard to write key like with an emails and domains,
am wondering you hint at a more decentralized way of doing things in the future, how would that be done exactly, can it be placed on the blockchain for example, perhaps a few bytes on each block of Dash created for example?

Next stop $2, or would we be talking half way down at $2.5 ?

Thanks for the support Coins101 and Tante.

Found this interview of Peter Todd in r/bitcoin
https://medium.com/zapchain-magazine/why-one-bitcoin-developer-thinks-cryptocurrencies-have-a-dreadful-future-93007cff1613
He brings up several weaknesses with Bitcoin. While you read this, you will savor the manner in which DASH is addressing them.
New on Dash Blogs:

Why Dash has a bright future:

Cheers,

Tao

Vote this the best article of the week, Peter Todd knows what he speaks about.
This has to be brought to real world users outside of bitcointalk as fast as possible before centralized payment scams schemes like ripple take a majority piece of the crypto pie and become entrenched.
(Btw, I had a small victory this week by getting a shop owner to take some Dash onto his laptop from my phone and pay for it-lol, hes probably the first shop owner in my city to have it(android wallet was a handy essential). Can tell hes into the markets a little and wants to play on the coin exchanges, so all of toknormal's and coins101 tips are going to be passed onto him drip by drip in due course as he gets his head round the idea but its early days yet, be great to see a 'we accept dash' sticker in his window)

Dash, with the aforementioned InstantX, has overcome the problem of slow transaction times, and is a worthy network to use in any retail environment. Fast, secure transactions... Why use anything else? Dash has it all. Dash 8, Bitcoin 1.

Future Events Section
------------------------------------------------
1 - The US, Saudi, Guttarian plan will fail as Russia will not collapse
2 - The US Petrodollar will no longer be the reserve currency of the world
3 - DarkCoin will become the new reserve currency of the world

Anyway, I like the 3rd part of Future Events  Grin

I forgot to give the point #2 update

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-04-13/oil-rich-nations-burn-through-petrodollar-assets-at-record-pace

Anyway, it's all going according to plan.  Better stock up on DASH.

Thanks, I appreciate your feedback, didn't reply as don't want to derail the thread to much and UdjinM6 has much work to do  Grin
Ye, only ruling psychopaths could possibly think they can isolate Russia from the rest of the world, is a typical mind set (i.e. everyone is the enemy, even the allies)
Way I see main stream media now is that nothing is backed up by evidence any more, its all spun stories of no substance and this could lead to major war as Putin will not back down on his borders(the cold war is back on), I am just trying to work out whats going on.

Back to Dash now  Cool

How does InstantX guard against Blockchain Reorganization after a masternode has locked a transaction?

Reorg simply means that another chain is discovered with more proof-of-work than their own. That also means that all blocks in both chains have been approved by the system and do not contain conflicting transactions. In the case that an approved block does contain a conflicting transaction, the client will remove the block when the lock comes in. So there's no case in which you can switch to a chain with a conflict.

Thanks for explaining.
But does that mean the transaction locking overrides a previous block with an approved transaction if there is a conflict thus voiding the transactions or is it only delayed?

Remember we were discussing about reorg. What Evan explained to me is that blocks with conflicting transactions are rejected by the network the moment they are generated. So approved blocks can't contain conflicting transactions, so the reorg would be only approved blocks. It's like asking how does Bitcoin protect against invalid proof-of-work when doing a re-org, it doesn't consider those blocks for re-org.

I hope this helps.

Yes it helps, had never come across the term 'reorganization' before. So reorg selects the higher difficulty chain or next block and orphans the rest. There is certainly a lot under the crypto hood to understand!

''The term "blockchain reorganization" is used to refer to the situation where a client discovers a new difficultywise-longest well-formed blockchain which excludes one or more blocks that the client previously thought were part of the difficultywise-longest well-formed blockchain. These excluded blocks become orphans.
Chain reorganization is a client-local phenomenon; the entire bitcoin network doesn't "reorganize" simultaneously.
''

I don't call scam lightly, but this smells strongly of a bankster underhand method of milking the bitchez for every last bit of gov paper bitcoin that hasn't or can not be been creamed off via bailouts and global HFT stock pilfering.
