Paris-Roubaix - Hell of the North! This is going to be interesting. I feel Sagan will retain his form soon and will go on to win the Paris-Roubaix since the 3 time world champion has experience backing him which is why I bet on him at the end of the day.
8602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA PlayOffs - First Round on: April 13, 2019, 09:38:01 AM
East: Celtics(2nd favorite), Magic, 76ers and Raptors
West: Warriors(Favorite), Nuggets, Spurs and Clippers

I will be rooting for the Warriors all the freaking way. Curry will help them defend their title successfully once again in my opinion.
8603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges hardware wallet models on: April 13, 2019, 09:34:04 AM
What type/models of hardware wallets would exchanges use?

Some have like 100k bitcoins in hardware wallets. How do they keep the qctual wallet from being compromized. They surely cannt let anyone even the owners tranfer funds outside from it or even hold it  Grin
Thats open to criminals chasing people with access to those wallets even if the employees were honest they are still under risk if they have sole access. So what type of hardware wallets would they use?

I see ledger has a wallet that can have multi seed access and transaction size restrictions but thats something new, surely there was a solution before ledegers one.
IMO, starshing 100k bitcoin in a single hardware is a totally bad idea, to be on a safer side, ill be glad to advise any exchange CEO to spread out their crypto asset in multiple hardware wallets with varying security measures so that in a worst case senario the digital asset will not all be tampered all at once via a single point of entry. and also, the concept of a once-per-quarter check up just like how Darb is doing it right now will help in cutting down the level of such occurrence.
I don't think that it is a bad idea as long as the wallet itself is reliable and popular enough to trust with such a large amount of funds. Diversifying does not always imply that your funds will be safe since it all comes down to the wallet itself at the end of the day.

Trezor would be my preferred wallet in this case. HSM is a good alternative.
8604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and the quantity theory of money on: April 13, 2019, 07:09:59 AM
I'm trying to look for the Bitcoin historical that you are trying to say. You could look for more reliable sources online. However, I'm also wondering if Quantum theory is applicable to any cryptocurrency especially with bitcoin. But I admire your eagerness to learn.
Lol. Op has already found what he is looking for thanks the earlier post by franky1. Did you even bother reading the previous posts?

Coinmarketcap is the solution to the problem faced by op through which the data can be imported into excel a csv file as franky mentioned.
8605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain hackable now ~ on: April 13, 2019, 07:01:56 AM
Funny how a single case lays the foundation to generalize that 'blockchain is hackable now'. It is 'hackable' since the beginning, the question is how and when it will happen. And btw, it was an Ethereum blockchain that was discussed, not every single blockchain that exist out there and especially not Bitcoin (why was this on Bitcoin Discussion?).

We should stop generalizing like this, just conclude based on the fact that we found, not overgeneralization that has lots of logical fallacies.
This is the problem. People love to generalize stuff due to certain specific scenarios like the one op mentioned. Oversimplifying stuff is something which we just love to do.

This guy comes out of nowhere and declares that blockchain is hackable and we are all supposed to believe it. Lol. Improve your knowledge op.
8606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A finance bill gives the right for banks in France to offer crypto investments on: April 13, 2019, 06:53:51 AM
i don't know whether to be happy about this news or scared about it. mainly because it says "crypto-assets" which sounds to me more like them wanting to enter the altcoin ICO shenanigans and fuel the terrible state that this market has been in for the past 2 years. it is true that there is a lot of money to be made from these scams but they are also enabling them to pull these things off. and the damage of them on the whole market has been dire.
I wouldn't be scared honestly since I doubt they would ever think of legalizing scams after the controversial ICO scams which have been plaguing this market in recent times.

I am happy that they decided to support the crypto ecosystem in some way at the end of the day.
8607  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anti-scam addresses Database on: April 13, 2019, 06:42:36 AM
I don't find any use of listing scam addresses since its not so hard to create a new address. Instead of listing scam addresses we should have a list of scam projects ,coins and websites.
It would be more beneficial since people often fall for scam projects and invest in scam coins to earn more profits.
I concur. Honestly, how long does it take to create a new address? Also, comments can also be used to screw a perfectly legal address which would achieve the complete opposite here.

The list of scam projects continues to increase with time especially from the prolonged bear market in recent times which is why a list of these projects would be more beneficial overall.
8608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmain and Canaan Said China’s Proposed Mining Ban won’t Impact their Operation on: April 13, 2019, 06:37:55 AM
I wonder how they're going to operate mining if China will ban it. I guess it would be hard for them unless they will have access and other operations outside the county. Though the decision has not yet been finalized, I guess they should think of some other ways to operate.

It is still a draft and we need to see the final decision first before Bitmain take an action or strategy for their business. I believe they (Bitmain) know how to deal with any decision and they will keep on operating in legal way as I believe they have made some plans already in case the ban is officially announced.
Others have already mentioned that they do have backup plans in place(Moving to US etc) if the Chinese government goes through with the ban in the earlier posts.

This is not a small company that we are talking about which is why they would have planned for an event like this long back.
8609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: April 13, 2019, 06:26:16 AM
~snip~
I bet on DC and made the right call. KKR have an amazing batting lineup, but their bowling lineup is pretty average when compared to DC which has a great batting and bowling lineups overall.

It is great to see Dhawan back in form.
Congrats bud in your winning. I hope the stake was good.

Yeh, DC made it an easy game for them especially when Dhawan took the ship to the port very safely. I was thinking sometimes in the middle they will lose wicket and the match will go away from them but KKR bowlers really could not challenge them at all. KKR also missed some chances to add some more runs in the scoreboard.
Thanks. KKR really need to improve their bowling lineup currently while Delhi has been working on solving their choking weakness(Collapsing at the end like dominoes) which could turn things around for them.
8610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does your country knows about cock fighting betting? on: April 12, 2019, 06:28:31 PM
Here in the Philippines Cock Fighting is just a normal sports game here, I know that some other countries ban this kind of game. The Cock Fighting here is being live telecast in a television channel here. that's why you don't have to go to a Cock Fighting stadium just to bet on the fighting cocks.
Lol. Cockfights are broadcast on a TV? Seriously? Damn. I wonder if Star Sports or ESPN would broadcast such fights.

Am just imagining Floyd CockWeather fighting Manny Cockquio in the stadium and people are placing huge bets on these fights and are going crazy. Grin
8611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: AML Compliance for Crypto Exchanges! on: April 12, 2019, 06:22:58 PM
Doube edged sword:

- Helps Binance improve their security standards which are pretty damn great already making it an even more reliable exchange to trade in.

- AML compliance forces people to disclose their identities which goes against the entire point of cryptocurrencies in the first place.
8612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Now FREE to JOIN] IPL 2019 Prediction Pool and discussion on: April 12, 2019, 06:12:18 PM

DC now just requires 19 runs in 20 balls and have 8 wickets remaining. Dhawan is batting on 91 and would complete the century and win The match for DC. He would be the Player of the match for today's match. Andre Russell is on fire in this IPL.

Yeh, unfortunately my bet was for KKR today. The luck is not favouring me. Always choosing the wrong team LOL

Pant just got out but I do not think this will make any difference. DC will win this match.

8613  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are We Witnessing The Start Of Another Bull Run? on: April 12, 2019, 03:39:49 PM
I highly doubt it. This is just a mini rally by the entire crypto market and I am not expecting an insane bull run anytime this year. Bitcoin will most likely settle in the $7k-$8k range by the end of the year.

2020 seems like the year for the next big bull run due to the upcoming halvening event in my honest opinion.
8614  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency idiots donate 30K in bitcoin to Rothschild banks! on: April 12, 2019, 02:38:33 PM
do you not read the article, facts are facts...

1. a sister-in-law and second cousin of the Rothschilds posted bail for Julian Assange

2. The Economist (a Rothschild magazine) gave Assange its New Media Award in 2008

3. Wikileaks used the law firm Fox Rothschild to overturn a judge’s ruling to order a web host to shut down the Wikileaks site

4. The Guardian and The New York Times, two of Assange’s media partners, are linked to the Rothschilds

5. The owner of the mansion where Assange was eventually put under house arrest has links to Rothschilds

6. Assange’s lawyer is also Rothschilds’ lawyer

7. US Senator Joe Lieberman who was ultimately responsible for making Assange the largest media personality of the decade, is a member of the Council On Foreign Relations (a Rothschild organization)
Damn. That is a lot of evidence which does prove that there is some kind of relation between Julian and rothschild bank at the very least.

The supporters are basically donating to free Julian which is why I don't blame them in any manner whatsoever.
8615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any real use for bank-backed cryptocurrency ? on: April 12, 2019, 02:18:18 PM
There will always be people who would be interested in a cryptocurrency which is backed by banks since they might feel it would be more secure in nature and because of the big names involved.

So, it might take off if enough investors are interested in such a currency.
8616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Capital on: April 12, 2019, 01:01:01 PM
Lol. What is up with those names op? Hilarious.

Anyway, I don't usually gamble much and when I do, I do it for fun which is why I gamble through earnings from my salary, investments etc now and then. I usually end up losing more often than winning, but I tend to have a lot of fun though.
8617  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] How to place stop loss sell order. on: April 12, 2019, 12:56:27 PM
I liked how you explained everything in an easy to understand manner op, but I generally don't engage in day trading too much and most prefer buying and HODLING my crypto for the long term which is why your guide helped me better understand the stop-loss feature.

HODLING for the long term is still my preferred manner of trading though in this market.
8618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Access to copy trading service without commission on: April 12, 2019, 12:49:25 PM
Hi

I can connect you to any trader from https://trademirror.net/app/traders without you paying the success commission from profit to the trader. And pay me 20% (not 50% as trader take) instead.

Min. deposit is 1 BTC
Contact via PM first

Paying one bitcoins to get some signals, that you don't know will work or not, sounds like a very bad and expensive deal to me, how can we know if people who paid to get access will not be used as bag holders to whom the group members can dump their positions?

As I understand, the 1 btc is not for the signals but it is for you to trade. No one will pay such huge amount just for trading signals.
What is being offered here is that you trade with the minimum deposit 1BTC and you will be connected to the signals by OP for free then OP will charge you 20% of your profit if I understand it correctly.
It is still a risky move trusting a complete newbie in this forum who has no prior experience of executing successful trades which is why I would not bother with what he is trying to sell here.

Knowledge gained through experience is what is most important to me in this aspect(Not some shady deals).
8619  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Paper Trading of Bitcoin Hugging Strategy-2 on: April 12, 2019, 12:38:01 PM
I would never do a 100x leverage, but as long as you just do papers trades, then you can't lose anything. So this trade is just a way to learn how  100x leverage trades work, and in what range you should set in your orders?
High risk = Possibility to earn high reward. It is possible to earn huge profits through 100x leverage and I have done it several times before(Primarily during 2017 when it was far easier to earn profits when compared to now).

Invest only what you are willing to lose at the end of the day.
8620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Sign Up with Rizin Fighting Federation on: April 12, 2019, 11:54:12 AM
Fighting Federation is asking Manny Pacquiao to fight Takanori Gomi also a mixed martial artist.

That will be an easy win for Takanori Gomi if the fight mixed martial arts rules. Remeber the fight Randy Couture vs James "Light out" Toney.
The fight ended in 3 min with a submition. Same will be with Manny. Or maybe he will survive for 1 round thanks to his speed.
I don't think so. You do realize that Gomi was on a 6 match losing streak in the past, don't you?

I feel that Manny will easily win this one just like Floyd did against him and earn big bucks and entertain the crowd for a short period of time.
