8621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: November 19, 2019, 01:18:54 PM
I understand the distinction between Ripple and XRP, and it is certainly true that XRP has its own fair share of good news, along with Ripple... but that rarely if ever seems to translate into the sort of price movement we would see for other coins.
Not sure why this is, or how much the token-dumping by Ripple plays a part... but regardless, XRP still has a really solid use case and looks good for the long-term.

I agree with you but the problem is that the price though is not reflecting that scenario.

By now it really should have broken the $1 barrier but that along with its all time high of approximately $3.60 during the bull run of end 2017/early 2018 seems a long way away

lol guys ..
no ^^

i just used yobit`s signature design and added "better play with the cool kids"
i had expect that atleast the one or other understand these joke.

It is hardly a joking matter when you use a signature of a known shady exchange. There is no logical reason to use it and putting a humorous spin on it does little for justification.

One thing for sure is "join the cool kids" is just not working as a tag line and nor is that signature for those familiar with Yobit.
8623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ELAD Network - Blockchain, Real Estate, and AI For a Smarter Way to Invest on: November 19, 2019, 11:31:20 AM
With how things are going here, the possibility of abandoning this project is very high. Real estate-related business are really hard to promote. There's more than meets the eye on this kind of business. For me, this is actually one of the complicated businesses in blockchain technology to explore with. I don't think this project will move forward to realization of their objectives.

From what I can see, the chances of this project being even remotely successful are extremely small.

The project is flawed and the team seem very inexperienced.

8624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: November 19, 2019, 11:23:52 AM
^^
I believe Manchester United are in need of a more established striker to complete their squad. The team desperately needs a leader and a winner who has succeeded at various stages in their careers. Halland is a prodigy who has a bright future, but the United fans want an instant impact. I don't think a deal for Madison would be possible this season, he and Leicester are having a phenomenal season so far and I wouldn't advise him to tweak that.

Manchester United are one point away from being 5th and in a Europa League spot next season. Arsenal are joint 5th place with Sheffield United.

I do not see Manchester United finishing in the top 4 until they go on a decent run and that coincides with Leicester City dropping points because right now you cannot say Manchester City or Chelsea will drop more points than Leicester.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham will be there fighting for a 4th/5th place finish alongside Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

From now until 31st December nearly all these teams will be playing 8 Premier League games so that means any team can gain up to 24 points if they will them all. Anything can happen and things will definitely change. Revisiting the Premier League table on 1st January 2020 it will be looking different to what we see right now.
8625  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: November 19, 2019, 11:09:33 AM
Ah just I was getting my head around the sums involved here you go and throw a spanner in the works Smiley

If only a single person made a bet, and if they made a max bet, the game would auto-cashout before reaching 1.67x.

I don't think that's quite correct. That user will be auto-cashed out at 1.67x or what ever, but not the game itself. The game itself has a separate higher limit. Hence for the game limit to be hit, you generally require >= 2 whales playing at once (or it happens at a very high bust point).

And ideally, the per-game limit never gets triggered, because it's rather shitty for players that their bets are affected by other players action (even though it doesn't change the EV, it still sucks)
8626  Economy / Gambling / Re: BETKING & DEAN NOLAN: Disastrous Reputation! Read This Reddit Post. on: November 18, 2019, 11:07:47 PM
I'm really wondering now what's the reason he opened that thread ? I mean the site is done and bitcointalk doesn't trust him anyways so what's the point ?

currently I really don't understand the situation at all cause I never expected him to show up here , does this thing have anything to do with legal stuffs or is there actually a chance that he is willing to pay these lost funds ?

totally agree with you about the newbie accounts tho it's totally shady and most likely fake as well , but what's the point of these positives vouches Huh
Thank you for the excellent question. Others have wondered the same thing. Using newbie accounts to post how happy there are that they lost their funds and appreciate all that "deano" is doing and thanking him shows exactly what a low-life he he is. As for the funds, well he stole the final 50+ BTC from investors worth over $400,000 so yes he could pay them back. I mean, which kind of imbecile loads $400,000+ from a cold-wallet on to a hot-wallet just in time for it to allegedly get stolen but not even report it to the Police? The only reason for not reporting it to the Police is......?

As far as serial scammer Dean Nolan opening a thread over a month after he closed the website while making it clear he intended to return all funds to all investors (including threats to delay payment if they intend to report him to the Police or try to take legal action against him). He also mentioned he started a new business or was about to start one. I simply put it down to a classic case of misdirection.

It is well known that scammers, thieves and compulsive liars would constantly say things intended to cloud the judgement of interested parties. In this case, serial scammer Dean Nolan is using the forum here to posting for the sake of showing he is trying to repay investors. With that information available in a public forum, anybody thinking of taking him to court in a civil litigation action or reporting him to Police would have to consider the merit of that lie (about him trying to repay the funds to victims). This is classic misdirection.

Consider the alternative, if serial scammer Dean Nolan posted that he did indeed steal the 50+ BTC in October 2019 and blamed it on an imaginary hack and if he also admitted to stealing around a minimum of $3.25 million from the 2017 betking ICO including a minimum of those 30 million BKB tokens and if he admitted he scammed the winners of the 2018 Christmas wager out of 20+ BTC and if he admitted he destroyed any chance of betking being successful when in breach of the ICO promise he deliberately emptied the bankroll funds to use on the buy-back guarantee knowing that he could use it to cash in the stolen 30 million BKB - then what would be the outcome? He would be open to a criminal investigation.

Right now, serial scammer Dean Nolan has only ever posted in this forum when it suited his own needs. The small community of casino who had skype chats and were on friendly terms with each other have excluded this thief. Nobody wants anything to do with him. He only came here trying to spout the same trash that he thinks will extend his time before an inevitable criminal investigation begins. Not all businesses have the person entrusted to run them steal a minimum of over $3 million from it and bankrupt it including topping up the contents of a cold-wallet on to a hot-wallet just before it allegedly got hacked:

Tagged the bots, reported thread to mods & merited OP. Lets see if anything happens.

Thank you IconFirm. It is a tedious task but if we tag any scammer, sock-puppet or paid shill then at least we might be able to save a few of people from losing money, it would be worth it.

These are the known 96 fake accounts used by coinsbit.

I added the ~ before each user name so if you did add them to your IGNORE list then visit the coinsbit thread before/after - you will see the difference.

1.5% of the total bankroll:

6438 and some change * 0.015 = 96.58

(50 * 96.58 * 1.02) — (50 * 96.58) = 96.58

If in such a scenario the game multiplier were to reach 1.03x, bustabit would be risking not 1.5% but 2.25% of the total bankroll.

max bet has increased to 97.09 now but the principle remains the same

What is the most percentage-wise that the bankroll has been paid out on a single bet and on one particular crash to winners accumulatively? Does anybody know?

So which part of the following 'Hashlet' bullshit makes Homero, or you, innocent?

^^^ None of these things were actual physical miners, they were literally just png's with clicky 'boost' options with rocket icons on the web interface for them that did nothing but make the customer believe they were mining crypto instead of being, as was the truth, merely the false front-end of a multi-million-dollar ponzi.

But you knew that.

So sad to read people were falling for those types of scams back then and there are so many scams that gullible people and newbies are falling for even today.

Thank you posting about that.

May be it's related to yobit. I found a thread here- https://cryptotalk.org/topic/370-%E2%98%85-unnamedexchange-unnamed-exchange-official-thread-%E2%98%85/
Not certain but it seems like behind the scene yobit is the team there.

Well the signatures match but is there any evidence the two websites are related?

I think the owner covered it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5169189.msg52778885#msg52778885
8633  Economy / Gambling / Re: bustabit – The original crash game on: November 18, 2019, 01:19:09 PM
There is a reason why there is a "max bet", that Is calculated for being a very minimum of what could be the max bankroll, so the max bet is not like 25% of all bankroll, it is quite small (I forgot what it was but it was something like 1% or something) and that Is why you can literally have 50 people all betting max (and most of the time there are not that many people with that much money who would be willing to bet that much let alone at the same time) and you would still have a good bankroll.

If you had 50 people max betting (96.58 BTC bets each as of now), the game would cash out at 1.02x, because that's when bustabit would be risking exactly 1.5% of its bankroll (onsite + offsite bankroll).

Quote
What happens when the server forces people to cash out?

Under some circumstances, the server will force people to cash out.

The most common reason is that the game multiplier has gotten so large that we are risking too much of our bankroll (1.5%). If a player has won more than 1% of the bankroll, that player is also forced to cash out his winnings.

Of course that's extremely unlikely as it's pretty rare to see even one person bet more than 1 BTC at a given time.

How do calculate those sums? Do they pop in to your head or do you use a calculator?

I thought I was fairly good at maths so would like to know the answer  Grin

So the serial scammers opens a self-moderated thread then locks it.

He explains betking is closed because of a hack and he somehow will make payments to investors but continues to refer to "we". He is one man band  Roll Eyes

He made no mention that he stole 50 BTC in October 2019 and blamed it on an imaginary hack which only happened after he transferred all the bankroll funds from the cold-wallet to the hot-wallet just before the hack took place yet he never had done that before going back to the days of the pocketrocketcasino days until the time of the hack.

He will go to jail - it is inevitable.

Somehow it is unlocked to allow a newbie to post before locking it again. The only way it works is if a sock-puppet is being controlled by the imbecile serial scammer Dean Nolan:

8635  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Golden Fever Coin Is A Big Fraud! on: November 18, 2019, 09:10:14 AM
I strongly suspect this project of being a scam because of tactics they use to promote it, but you'll have to post some evidence as to how you directly got cheated by them... Making another account to bump your thread isn't enough.

Can you post a few more links to screenshots that show your involvement with them?

Also, links to the websites or ANN threads of previous scams you think are connected would help a lot too.

Using sock-puppets and paid shills to promote a project by pumping their ANN thread equates to scam. If they start misleading people at the very first stage then how can they be trusted on anything else?

This is becaming ridiculous. That scammers are so greedy that instead of hiring real human paid shills they are using bots, that are much more cheaper.

This is still not enough for the forum owners to take solid action. They are pointed to the scammers on a regular basis which sometimes leads to action such as the previous coinsbit ANN thread being nuked. They created new user accounts and returned to open another coinsbit ANN thread. The connection between the two is clear but they have not nuked the second thread.
8638  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [ SCAM ALERT ] Legal Action Against Dean Nolan & betking.io on: November 18, 2019, 08:23:34 AM
If you asked my opinion, it sounds like you are trying to delay getting sued until after the statute of limitations on your debts expires.

I have no idea if what your various investors claim they are owed by you are debts that a court will enforce, but my belief is they would if a lawsuit is filed within the statute of limitations. Your apparent intimidation elsewhere in this thread, and other history makes me believe that it would probably be best for any potential creditors to file a lawsuit sooner rather than later regarding any debts you may have defaulted on.

Many businesses fail every day. Don't invest what you can't afford to lose.
This does not absolve you of responsibility if you have personally promised to repay debts incurred operating a business.

Excellent post PrimeNumber7. I think when it comes to serial scammer Dean Nolan the pattern emerged over time is that he is a compulsive liar. He posts lies upon lies and hopes to distract people from the actual situation.

The ridiculous "Many businesses fail every day. Don't invest what you can't afford to lose" line is not going to save him in any criminal or civil lawsuit. All it shows is the low-life serial scammer Dean Nolan cementing his position as the pathetic imbecile we all know him to be. Not all businesses have 50% of their ICO funds (over $3 million) stolen by the person trusted to operated the business therefore probably all businesses having that much stolen from them will fail.

Regarding him hoping to delay any action against until a statutory time limit has expired, that will not apply to this situation because he is a UK citizen holding a British passport and there is no such statutory time related issues in UK law. The Proceed of Crime Act 2002 is the section of UK law (especially the money laundering part) which will most probably be used against him and a successful prosecution always leads to jail time.

In his recent post he boasts about his legal team telling he is not liable for anything and he will not go to jail. The only reason he would post that is because he fears a criminal or civil legal case so is trying to put doubt in the minds of potential instigators that any legal case will fail - but the reality is a legal case will see him at the very least interviewed by the Police as part of a criminal investigation and at the most him being found guilty and jailed for theft of over $3 million that belonged to investors.

The lowest of the low was the final 50+ BTC he stole and blamed it on an imaginary hack but never even reported the theft of $400,000+ to the Police. Pathetic. Now he tells victims he needs time to repay them just for classic misdirection in order to put doubt in minds about holding off reporting him to the Police   Roll Eyes

On of the other issues about victims wanting to report the matter to the Police is that some might be thinking that they will have to explain to the Police where they got the funds to invest and it might mean tax implications. First of all, they do not have to worry about reporting the matter to the Police. The Police will are not interested in the tax aspect of where the funds came from, they are interested in arresting and prosecuting criminals.

My case file is complete with evidence of the lies serial scammer Dean Nolan told on a regular basis. All I need is just one investor to say they are willing to report him to the Police then I will hand over everything to the UK Police myself while the victim can wait for the outcome of the criminal investigation to find out whether serial scammer Dean Nolan will get jail time and what assets were seized - and how much of their stolen funds they can expect to get back.

Here is another excellent post from marlboroza on betking and how serial scammer Dean Nolan stole $2.785 million from the 30 million BKB he stole by saying it was going to be used to on the website but he accidentally posted he was going to steal it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4751127.msg44790903#msg44790903

He archived it and the content is one of several key reasons why a criminal prosecution is likely to go ahead: http://archive.is/9opwz#selection-6385.4-6385.34

This is all you need to read:

I'm buying tokens back with my own profit, the 30 million tokens I keep from the ICO.
There's not going to be any significant reduction in bankroll, max 10% every 3 months.
Yes I will then be making a profit on the tokens I hold, the ones not being sold plus the ones I buy back, that's pretty normal and how most businesses work.
There's no dilution going on at all.

According to ICO conditions (someone archived ICO long time ago, couldn't archive new site) http://archive.is/tdcWr#selection-440.5-440.6

Distribution
– 100,000,000 BetKing Bankroll Tokens will be created as Ethereum ERC23 tokens and issued after the crowdsale ends.
– 70 million will be available for sale to crowdsale participants.
– 30 million will be retained by BetKing for ICO bounties, testing bounties, advisors, hiring, future marketing and development.
– BetKing Bankroll Tokens can be purchased with Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin. All funds will be held in cold storage.
Use of funds raised
After the crowdsale at least 50% of the funds raised will be used for the house bankroll that players bet against and winnings are paid from. The remaining funds will be used for marketing, promos, seo, design, development, server costs and legal.

Is Dean allowed to use his 30% of issued tokens to buy back tokens, to put them on exchange, sell them or to put them in bankroll, as during ICO something completely different was stated?
