8642  Economy / Speculation / Re: Over 70BTC bet that Bitcoin will be $10,000 by end of 2014 on: April 17, 2014, 06:46:18 AM
I don't personally think we will break $10,000 this year but I think we could get to $4000 to $9000 likely as a peak this year and stabilize around $2500 as a nice round number/average.

Think Smoothie has a better prediction sense than I would so will sell at 4000 to 9000 and prepare to buy at around 2500 next time we see a jump up XD
8643  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: April 17, 2014, 06:44:19 AM
Nope I don't have a clue what that is but out of curiosity would you think less of me and I was lying for no apparent reason?

Only if their is nothing else to think about since I can't slice you in two, but that aside what is the world talking about today?
8644  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: [WARNING] Fake Electrum Download Site on: April 17, 2014, 06:43:15 AM

8651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: will the bitcoin reach $1000 one day...? on: April 17, 2014, 06:34:22 AM
Its over 500 now , and it can be 2k any time in this 2 month . lets see  Wink
I don't think its going to touch this 2k in next 2 months because currently under pressure and need some time for stabilizing in this world of speculation
Agree, people are getting their hopes up before we've even reached 1k. Baby steps and so on. It's rising, but it's going slow at the moment.
2 steps forward, 1 step back.

Yep 2 steps forward 1 step back sit around and take a rest in the new stable range then walk forward again  Wink
8652  Economy / Speculation / Re: $600 by end of today? on: April 17, 2014, 06:33:43 AM
Seems like we're going fast downwards again. Someone cashing out ?

another round of China news - someone needs low prices.

be lucky if we are still at 500 at the end of today.

Looks like we survived that round and the price may move even higher.
8653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Over 70BTC bet that Bitcoin will be $10,000 by end of 2014 on: April 17, 2014, 06:31:06 AM
No pays: 1.152642 BTC
Well it is a 26.1% Yield if you can wait seven months right now in BTC so not a bad bet for no
 in 7 months 1 week

1.15 is not guaranteed, when we will get closer to the end of November, people will bet on NO if the price isn't close to 10,000$ so the payout will go down; it is a weighted bet so I would estimate you can make 1.08-1.11 if you bet now; I am considering doing it

Well an 8 to 11% Year over Year return in any other asset would be considered Phenomenal (Actually a bit higher not a full year) so it may be a good hedge to keep your money sitting down when the price changes and what not, still not a bad tradeoff.
8654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Industry Group Aims to Change Bitcoin Symbol on: April 17, 2014, 06:27:17 AM
Has anyone suggested a flying BTC as follows since Bitcoin is faster to transfer around the world directly to individuals without exception than fiat.

I never saw a flying Bitcoin symbol but for some reason I thought of the advertising being the red bull of Bitcoin it has wings lol.
Followed by cryptographic hash functions.
8655  Economy / Speculation / Re: $300 or $800 next? on: April 17, 2014, 06:26:05 AM
It met us almost halfway sitting at 520 presently
8656  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Say NO to GMO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: April 17, 2014, 06:23:53 AM
I say NO !

You can't say NO, if you don't know which of the food products available at the local supermarket is genetically modified and which ones are organic. May be you should chose according to the brands... that too is risky.

I kind of worry though that its called organic but really isn't more than if it is GMO
That said sometimes you can tell what is GMO if it just tastes awful recalls some purple grapes.
Really nasty skin and the taste went into the whole grape as well.
8657  Economy / Speculation / Re: [ Poll ] How did you feel today on: April 17, 2014, 06:23:02 AM
Still Euphoric a few days passed by came back and the price recovered a bit
8658  Other / Meta / Re: BFL bringing down the trust rating? on: April 17, 2014, 06:22:25 AM
Time to move to another forum I guess. Bitcointa.lk anyone?

I created an account there, and it appears to be a carbon copy of this sites content.

 Am I overlooking something ?

There are a few differences but I think for the most part it is the same
Basically a bit faster

8659  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia Invades Ukraine. Whats next? on: April 17, 2014, 06:20:12 AM
The pictures of Russian troops that NATO said were proving that Russia is amassing its troops at the Ukrainian border are from August 2013, from Russia's military exercises in the Southern region from last summer.

Stupid American viewers of CNN and BBC will not care whether it is from 2013 or 2014. Even if you show them some WW2 footage and say that it is from 2014, they will believe it.

The balance of power of Russia and the US carries on
ABC says Three Ukraines lol

8660  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Goats are out of the pen. Where do we get our milk from now? on: April 17, 2014, 06:16:32 AM
What did he do this time? He's been banned so many times I'm surprised he has 20k posts. lol

Not sure exactly but I think it was just general trolling, but he's been generally trolling for as long as I've been here. There's a thread in Meta about it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=572838.0

Thanks, I'll check it out. Yeah, I don't think you can get 20k substantial posts about Bitcoin. It's just not that complicated and there isn't 20k posts worth of news. rolf

Kind of agree although I guess if you started in 2011 that's 7000 a year Yikes
