What can you say about this deal? NBA trade deadline grades: Clippers pick up Rajon Rondo from Hawks for Lou Williams, per report.

Never thought that Rondo will land on the another Los Angeles team, last year he was helping Lakers to win their championship with Lebron. Now he is on the Clippers side now, I think the obvious winner here is Clippers are Rondo has the experience and they really need a good point guard to rotate the ball and help distribute it.

Reports are saying that Lowry will stay with Toronto.

I agree this was a good pickup for the Clippers.  If they do go head to head with the Lakers, Rondo's experience there should help them in predicting offensive sets and knowing what bothers the players from the defensive end.

I keep reading that the Lakers aren't willing to part with THT to get Lowry.  They must have high expectations for that kid, because from the LeBron "win now" perspective it would seem like adding Lowry over THT would be the way to go.
8642  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you guys happy if bitcoin will dropped to $10k? Why? on: March 25, 2021, 10:43:08 PM
I wouldn't be happy if the price dropped.  What kind of person would be happy for the losses of others?

That being said, so long as the price hits $200K, I don't give a flying fuck what happens after that.  I never signed up for this store of value nonsense to begin with and don't believe in it's long term ability to succeed in freeing anyone from global financial slavery, stopping any wars, helping the unbanked, or adding transparency to the activity of publicly traded companies.  If the price can't even hold a store of value, Bitcoin would be completely useless.  Let's not hope for that.  At least there's still some people who can become millionaires first and free themselves from financial slavery.

~

Bringing up dead people to support your narcissistic fantasies, real classy. But you know what - despite you being a massive dickhead I reckon most people whom you're blaming for your problems would still find nice things to say in your memorial thread. I bet you have no fucking clue why it works that way.

It works that way because some people are two faced trash that don't appreciate others while they are here doing good things.  You can rest assured that if I live to see your memorial thread, I will say the same things about you when you're gone as I would to your face now.  I would appreciate that same courtesy.

Imagine purposely withholding your true feelings about someone until after they're dead because you would rather troll them while they're alive.  I appreciated TECSHARE while he was alive.  I let him know repeatedly that he was fighting the good fight and that he had my support.  I stuck up for him and threw myself into your and Vod's web of trolling deceit when I saw he was being treated unfairly.  You trolling him while he was alive and then saying nice things once he's dead isn't honorable or respectful, it's delusional and self serving.  So while you call me continuing to support TECSHARE after his death narcissistic, I would say you trolling him endlessly while he was alive to then go and pretend you had a positive relationship after his death is typical of the type of manipulative fake person you are.

As for the actual topic of this thread, started by TECSHARE and being derailed by suchmoon for old time's sake...  At this point everyone knows that distrusting Vod is the right thing to do.  There's nearly a decade worth of evidence that he's a terribly negative person that lies constantly and will do anything to try and hurt others.  He's abused the trust network, abused his merit source position, broken multiple forum rules, told countless lies, and has basically had a mental breakdown in public for all to see.  Yet instead of trying to steer him on the right path you took advantage of his failing mental state and financial position to steal his BPIP project and then pretend to be his friend by helping empower him to attack others with lies and destroy his reputation.  What a good deal for you...  It's time people stopped letting crooked DT members like suchmoon use Vod's mental instability as a weapon and he's removed from DT.
8645  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion about Merit Pop up on: March 25, 2021, 09:45:26 PM
Hello everyone.

I have a small suggestion for merit pop up
When I click +Merit to a user, I am redirected to this window:

The default value for a merit transfer is 0.

However, 0 is an invalid merit value to transfer. Additionally, I often write 1 and see "10" as a result, because i forgot to delete zero (I never clicked ok after that, thankfully).

I suggest that this default value is changed to 1, which is the most common merit value transacted. This will also avoid mistakes like sending 10.

I have nearly made a similar suggestion many times.  You are right, having the 0 in there is a pain in the ass and I see no good reason for it.  I think a 1 while making more sense for 1 merit transactions still could have the issue of someone adding a number and giving 12 merit when they meant to give 2 or having to take the time delete the 1 to put in a 2.  For that reason I think it should just be left blank.  It would make it much easier for those of us awarding merit on our mobiles without having to delete the 0 or worry about which side of the 0 our finger was recorded as touching the screen...  So ya, 1 is better than 0, but leaving it blank would be preferred to either.  Thanks for starting this thread so I didn't have to!
8646  Other / Meta / Re: VOD should be removed from default trust for systematic abuse of his position on: March 25, 2021, 09:33:39 PM
All I read was you are incapable of stepping up and being the bigger man.

As suchmoon said, RL problems require RL solutions. If you have a RL problem with Vod, keep it that way, leave us out of it. We don't fucking care.

This is exactly the attitude of users that belong nowhere near the trust network.  You think it's absolutely fine for Vod to lie and harass me both on and outside of the forum and think I'm the problem for expecting people to distrust this behavior, which is exactly what the trust network was designed for.  You keep pretending like I'm the problem for voicing something that is horribly wrong, while I think the problem is that people "don't fucking care" so long as the abusers "leave us out of it."  What a cowardly position to take.  I understand it though.  Why stand up for what's right and end up getting trolled forever by suchmoon, Vod, ibminer, etc. when you could just join in on the harassment and get to be a part of the DT manipulation club?  It's the path of least resistance, so it's the path the weak will walk.

I guess what really rubs me the wrong way is that the same people who TECSHARE was harassed constantly by and argued this with endlessly until his death are the same people pretending they cared about him in his memorial thread.  The depths these users will sink know no bounds and everyone giving them a pass because they don't want to have their name dragged through the mud like the example they're trying to make out of me is just sad for the forum.  I don't give a fuck about me personally, that's not why I fight these abusers.  I'm set for life already.  I care about this forum turning into a shithole controlled by scammers and trolls since it has enabled me to make so many of my dreams come true.  I don't want to close that door behind me for others or leave the inside of that room a mess.

Now if we're done trying to turn yet another thread of someone else's bad behavior into a thread about my good behavior as if it were bad, maybe it's time people started thinking for themselves about why they are OK with Vod's behavior.  Is it a positive reason that's good for the forum, or is it because they're scared of the never ending retaliation?
8647  Other / Meta / Re: Why do people beg on this forum? on: March 25, 2021, 08:35:25 PM
In real life, these people wouldn't beg you on the street. Why would they beg you on this forum?
That's the fundamental difference between online life and real life.  The layer of anonymity that the internet affords you basically takes away the fear to say things you normally wouldn't in a face-to-face conversation.  Haven't you realized that by now?

As far as why people beg here, a lot of newbies don't realize that bitcoin is actual money and they think people here are just going to give some of it away for nothing.  And then there are scammers posing as beggars (the ones with the hard luck stories and whatnot); any of those should be reported immediately to the mods.  Fortunately I haven't seen too many begging posts or threads lately--but that could be because they tend to get reported and nuked fairly quickly.  Back in 2015 it seemed to be a common thing.

People beg in real life...  Ever been to San Diego?  You can't walk to the corner without being asked for change.  Not to mention homeless people shitting on your doorstep if you live anywhere near the beach (sort of like sig spam here I guess).  I think this forum mimics life pretty well.  It used to be an amazing place for likeminded individuals to build on Bitcoin, but I digress...

I really don't get this attitude that people feel protected to act out of character online.  If anything, I'm quite toned down online.  Those who think I'm an asshole here would be in for a very rude awakening if they expected something more polite in person.

I am actually surprised people don't beg more here.  I get the begging PMs occasionally and usually try to respond with something inspiring to actually help them instead of giving them free money to be blown on whatever vice they have.  I do wish I got as many messages from developers wanting to help build something as I got from beggars wanting something for nothing, but that's life and with the government hell bent on making everyone dependent upon them for their survival needs, I don't see that trend reversing anytime soon.

Being clear, there's nothing wrong with charity and giving money to those in need.  It's supposed to fill the role that government is trying to fill with social programs that are killing our economy.  There's a right way and a wrong way to go about it though.
8648  Economy / Securities / Re: 📈 NastyFans: The Bitcoin Enthusiast Fan Club (est. 2012) on: March 25, 2021, 08:17:25 PM
Still seems odd when you say it has "exceeded every expectation I ever had for it".. considering you stated your expectations to me were to "get BTC into the hands of NastyFans". It's an odd statement because you have taken more BTC from me than you've given back... so which is it.. are you trying to get BTC into the hands of NastyFans, or USD?  Or does it even matter.. considering, in your head, you can apparently spin either scenario into a "success"?

Why would it seem odd that this has exceeded my expectations?  This was started as a project to run an FPGA miner that cost around $400 at the time.  That would be like someone raising money to buy a GPU miner today, then 9 years from now they have a million dollars and some idiots are going around saying it was a stupid investment.  I don't know about you, but if someone borrowed $400 from me today and 9 years from now they gave me a million dollars back while paying me weekly the entire time, I wouldn't be crying about the return and calling that person a scammer.  That would be foolish and embarrassing.

As for the stated goal of NastyFans being to get BTC in the hands of NastyFans...  I think you literally just made that up.  If anything, NastyFans is a unique diversification play that would have done well regardless of if BTC went up or down due to it's product line and no cost mining capabilities.  My actual goal with this organization was to show that there's a better way to run an organization that can let everyone play a role in it's success while utilizing the transparent and unique nature of Bitcoin along with renewable energy.  It's a proof of concept that doesn't need any of the typical infrastructure and cannot fail unless it's given up on by everyone involved.  Much like Bitcoin itself.

In case you were too lazy to actually look at the policy and about sections on nastyfans.org before wrongly assuming our goals, let me highlight the first line of this thread for you, since you seem to have failed to see what this organization is about.  I'd say you should probably read it a few times and hold yourself accountable for not understanding what you're attacking.  Maybe take a look at how transparent we are and the efforts that are being put forth without compensation and appreciate that some people care enough to put their time and money into something in the hopes of inspiring others to build on Bitcoin.

NASTYFANS INTRODUCTION:
NastyFans is a club for Bitcoin Enthusiasts established in 2012 to show how a fun & transparent community project can be built with Bitcoin.

Maybe because it isn’t their family that’s being harassed by a mentally ill stalker and their reputations being smeared all over the Internet for doing nothing but trying to help this community and standing up for the truth. The fact “nobody cares” is beyond sad and a massive failure that should be addressed.

Funny this coming from someone who's been peddling an unproved accusation from a known extortionist site.

If you're being harassed IRL go to police IRL. Lashing out at everyone here isn't going to help you.

I’m not lashing out at everyone. I’m pointing out that people like you are what is wrong with the trust network. You’re now going as far as saying real world trades don’t matter for trust ratings. You’ll do and say anything to try and push false narratives.

Vod is also the one who sent me the link stating he was a pedophile. I never started the rumor. It was in full swing long before Vod sent me the message seemingly outing himself as a pedophile. I didn’t want anything to do with that. The fact that he sent me links to pedophile nonsense at all was both confusing and disturbing. I had to block him to stop the pedophile nonsense and despite that he still spends a majority of his time begging for my attention. He’s like you, quick to lie about things like him spreading a rumor and trying to blame me for being honest. It’s honestly pathetic that anyone in this community believes either of you. Maybe the low IQ and inability of members here to see the truth is why most successful people run screaming from this place as soon as they become multi-millionaires. I should probably follow their lead but I actually care about this place and am disgusted with people like you, Vod, and LoyceV who have shown themselves willing to engage in the shadiest of behavior if it means a couple more scammers will add you to their trust network. Pathetic and weak. No wonder you’re all such triggered liberals. It shows in your every action.
8650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: March 25, 2021, 06:31:30 PM
Denver got Howard and McGee, Miami got Bijelica, Boston got Fournier. Chicago for Vucevič. 1 hour 20 minutes to go. Now things will got really busy. Markkanen, Lowry, ...

Looks like Denver got Aaron Gordon too. One of the bigger prizes on the block. Woj said that the NY Knicks are finalizing a deal to get Lonzo Ball and the Lakers are making a last minute effort to get Kyle Lowry from the Raptors. Usually takes some time for the dust to settle and deals to finalize even after the deadline hits, so we could be in for a little more news yet.
8651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't buy this dip yet! on: March 25, 2021, 10:51:17 AM
Given all the positive news about Bitcoin lately, I think you’d be wise to buy sooner rather than later. This Friday’s options expiry could very well be the last chance to buy before the next leg up. The important thing is to not buy using leverage and to not buy unless you’re going to hold until it hits your predetermined sell point.
8652  Other / Meta / Re: VOD should be removed from default trust for systematic abuse of his position on: March 25, 2021, 10:44:07 AM
Generally speaking, no one cares about this stupid drama.

Maybe because it isn’t their family that’s being harassed by a mentally ill stalker and their reputations being smeared all over the Internet for doing nothing but trying to help this community and standing up for the truth. The fact “nobody cares” is beyond sad and a massive failure that should be addressed.

You think the targeted attacks against me and those responsible will just stop this type of behavior when I’m gone? You see time and time again people asking why the older members don’t stick around... This is why. At some point maybe some people should get over themselves and start to care about what’s best for the forum and it’s members’ futures.
8653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: March 25, 2021, 10:29:25 AM
Feels a bit like the night before Christmas. I imagine a lot of NBA players and their families are having a sleepless night tonight. There are a lot of things I am jealous of when it comes to NBA players, but having no control over what city you’ll be spending most of your time in is not one of them.

Now to watch Woj’s Twitter feed for the breaking news.
8654  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Gold & Diamond Bitcoin Pendant on: March 25, 2021, 12:30:58 AM
I feel like I should share a bit of the 'origin story' of this piece.
It was originally inspired by this piece commissioned for TECSHARE in 2015:

I wanted one of these pendants of my profile image at the time, but I was sinking most of my funds into miners and minting coins back then so I decided to sacrifice my wants and wait for a more appropriate time.  After the 2017 bubble, I was finally able to create my profile pendant and for whatever reason I have always thought of this thread with TECSHARE when I look at it.  Now that TECSHARE has passed, I felt it might be good to share how I will always view him in my head, which is the above photo.  RIP TECSHARE.

+43 pages talking about Vod...   Roll Eyes

Yet even after all that over half a decade among many other complaints, still no action has been taken.

I'm a bit curious how far a person can go these days before being removed from the default trust network by the administration and why users here haven't taken their responsibility seriously enough to exclude this behavior by adding ~Vod to their trust network.
8656  Economy / Economics / Re: Miners Hodling Rates Increases. on: March 24, 2021, 11:31:05 PM
Is it a good sign for bitcoiners? Or we should get ready for a massive dumb incoming?

I think it shows that the market is expecting an increase in the BTC/USD exchange rate.  Typically I would say this is a bad thing, but in this case I think people in positions of influence have been pretty open about large companies and funds' plans to make future purchases of BTC.  This will most assuredly cause a price increase, so what we're seeing with miners is that they want to be the ones who are selling to those large companies at much higher rates than today and are positioning themselves as such.

This is the first lightning auction I've seen.  I'm curious how many users will take part.  Good luck!

I like the artwork.  It's many blends of past and future styles/objects is very clever.  I particularly like the background that gives it a printed on a sand bag look.  Nice job.
8658  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why does Foxpup only send negative feedback? on: March 24, 2021, 09:33:07 PM
I find it interesting that some people would prefer handing out negative consequences to positive reinforcement.  I think those people must have never raised a dog, or at least not a very good one...

I find it interesting that you're comparing all those noobs you green-trusted for buying trinkets from you with zero risk to raising dogs... makes sense then you think about your trust farming and trust abuse. Fluffy puppies.

LOL. Now you’re attacking me for leaving positive trust to users who have purchased my goods. Some of which are sales of valuable items like 10oz gold coins... Saying I sell trinkets like the trust network is some elites only zone. Somehow this is worse than you giving positive feedback to mentally ill users even the administration says deserves negative feedback?

Anything to deflect from the topic though right? Typical behavior. Someone complains about a user spreading negativity everywhere and you try and turn it into a subject about my leaving positive feedbacks for genuine real world trades as if it were bad...
8659  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: March 24, 2021, 08:11:16 PM
I do not feel like I can play in the third party places, it just feels so wrong, it is not even provably fair. I understand other people who play it, and I understand that Stake would definitely pay it if there was a provably wrong thing by any third party app, so that's fine, but why risk it? That is why I do not tell others to not play there, they can play there, it is a risk they are taking but when you are in Stake that risk is very little, you are basically risking getting scammed by third party app and be paid by stake so not a big deal, maybe just a bit of time and inconvenience and that is why it is not a big deal even for me who doesn't play it.

However I rather not risk that, the original stake games on the other hand are great, they are provably fair and that is why I liked stake and that's why I will continue to gamble there as well on the original places but that's it.
I think I can agree with that, you do not have to play the third party games, after all they are not provably fair and why would anyone play at a place that has no provably fair. This is why I have started to play at other places more and more and play here less and less, haven't even gambled for the past week whereas I use to gamble every day.

This place became a place that has thousands of games that are not provably fair when they were actually the place that started the provably fair talks in crypto, and also this place moved from "giving out free money in faucet" place turning into "if you are not rich, we do not care about you at all, your support will wait for 48 hours while we take care of 100 rich people at the same time". Hence, all those things that degraded from the early days into today made me not really like it here as much as I used to.

These types of concerns are why I stick only to sports betting where you only need to worry about the odds.

I think most of the provably fair claims from online casinos can be taken with a grain of salt.  Rarely is it verified and things can change quickly as well as "mistakes" can be made.  If you aren't verifying for yourself that operations aren't provably fair, you shouldn't believe they are and if you don't believe they are, you shouldn't use them.
8660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: March 24, 2021, 08:05:55 PM
Trade deadline will be a bit boring this season as it appears. I wasn't really expecting something this boring, the biggest news is PJ Tucker trade and you can definitely get how unimportant that was by naming it PJ Tucker trade. At the end of the day, we are going to see some changes at the off-season but this season teams are not willing to make big moves just yet.

Plus, this is trade "deadline" so that means teams could have made trades beforehand, look at how Harden was traded to Nets and you will realize that teams could have traded whenever they want and they are not trading so deadline may not be a time where teams would make big moves. I wanted something huge, something that would make the news, something that gets at the top page of the reddit, but apparently nothing like that will happen. In any case, teams are settling in nicely, let's see who will win it this year.

Give it time.  The NBA loves doing things at the very last possible minute.

I'm reading that Victor Oladipo & Kyle Lowry are also likely suspects to be moved in the next 24 hours with Miami and Boston as rumored destinations for the two previous all stars.  If we don't see some movement in the next 24 hours I would agree with you, but when it comes to the NBA, give them every second because they need it.
