Thanks for accepting me Hhampuz. Needs some clarification, there are no details which ineligible board to post (except local languages), does this mean we can post anywhere, as long as it's constructive?*

* Except bounty reports, auction, raffle, serious discussion etc.

8703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs false marketing is destructive. ICOs must provide real & honest values on: January 21, 2019, 05:44:16 AM
ICO guides are not what will save ICO's, But it's a start. the problem with ICO's is that in the first place most of them open with the purpose to be a scam.

Yep, they want to scam and they are greedy. They want to raise millions of dollars just to build a debit card. Before you fix stuff such as marketing and so on, the project itself must be analyzed. I do think ICO is not inherently bad, it's just business, but if these crappy ideas come and go every time, I do think ICO will die sooner or later.

Instead of ICO guide, I think development guide is what those people need.

8704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bear markets survival on: January 21, 2019, 05:19:49 AM
How did you trade in the first place? Have you used any stop loss when you trade? Did you do margin/spot trading?
I personally don't trade at this market, but if I see a shift of market direction I'd act accordingly. For example, if the bear is getting stronger then I'd sell all my crypto to fiat and wait for a new entry. Join the next wave and so on.

I learn this lesson the hard way when last year I don't sell any crypto and then lost quite a lot after bear takes over for months.
8705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: CRYPTOPIA HACKED 🔥🔥🔥 on: January 21, 2019, 04:50:03 AM
Seems like 'shitopia' becomes really shit now. I wonder how will they react to this problem. They might have reported it to the police but if they don't handle customers complaints perfectly then it seems the end of this exchange is more than guaranteed. Bye bye forever.

8707  Economy / Reputation / Re: There are far too many accounts with 1 merit on: January 20, 2019, 04:44:14 AM
I thinking is that there's a lot of accounts that are connected to the same person or group and they are doing this to either be able to bump topics or earn money on bounties and are merit farming.

Exactly like you thought. It's highly possible that they're merit farming or trading merit. In fact, I'm a bit surprised that you're surprised about this tbh. I found a case like this many times, but it's difficult to prevent it and provide hard proof evidence even if our gut feeling told us that this is a shady activity.

You don't have to worry that much though, they'll run out of merit eventually, and they won't make lots of money when their rank is only a Jr. Member.
8708  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FIX TOKEN SCAM ALERT | fixtoken.co on: January 20, 2019, 04:00:00 AM
I already raise several issues on their ANN page, but there is no answer at all[1]. The biggest red flags are their token metrics and their card for microtransactions. It is not legal in Indonesia to use cryptocurrency as a means of payments, which is what is promoted by this ICO. They also run a crazy giveaway for investors such as giving a car when they invest up to 8 million/billion tokens and so on. Previously, they also give a date on an exchange listing as if they already make a deal with the respective exchanges but then change it to some ambiguous listing announcement.

I can confirm that they blocked member when they ask critical questions about the ICO. At this point, I'm more than certain this ICO will at least fail to deliver their product (or probably run away after the ICO is over).

Hello
the rules in our group, if you disseminate incorrect information, share links other than fixtoken, and create a mess that results in fixtoken losses, we will commemorate and if it still happens again we will issue it from grub

There is a difference between blocking member when they raise valid questions and banning members who spread fuds. What you're doing is not the later but the former. Make your team information public, or if you can't do that, then explain to us how can you make sure the Indonesian government won't cut off your business when you start your debit card making.

8709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reasons for Satoshi's anonymity? on: January 20, 2019, 03:13:58 AM
And just think about the fact that now the number of miners has started to decline very much and that moment when a government of a very powerful country will be able to do 50 percent of the computing power in its hands and then write everything is gone, this state will control absolutely all cryptocurrency , and you will not even know about it.

The solution is simple: change of algorithm.

and it is possible that it was originally supposed that when the last bitcoin miners were extracted the miners would disappear and it would be possible for the government to create a computer center that would provide 50 percent of the computing power, this is a simple and ingenious solution. The fact that there is a final date of production of the last Bitcoin initially assumes that all the miners will leave and some other structure will take their place, it is quite possible that this will be a single state structure.

Miners won't disappear, they'll get transaction fees. I don't know how much you understand Bitcoin but at this moment, a single state structure already exists. It's called fiat.
8710  Local / Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian) / Re: [DISKUSI] Saran Sub-Forum Indonesia (Rules Thread, OP, Post, dst) on: January 20, 2019, 03:08:25 AM

8713  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange is not accepting btc withdrawal on: January 19, 2019, 06:44:11 AM
Are there people who had similar issue, how they did resolve that, did they just forgot coins or maybe there is mechanism to get them in court..

How much did you lose? You can try to sue them but it won't worth your time if you only lose for $100 or so.
If I were you, I think I'd just forget this and make sure anyone knows about this incident by posting on scam accusations (there's no guarantee everyone read it though).
8714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 📢📢 [ANN] 💬 MESG - Build applications. Connecting any technologies. 🚀🚀 on: January 19, 2019, 05:38:20 AM
Why don't u add whitepaper to starter post?

You can find the whitepaper from https://mesg.com/token. It is not necessary to add WP link to a post, isn't it?

There are so many time before you will be listened on exchanges (

Maybe they want to have adoption/users first before their token got listed on an exchange. If you list your token without any working product, you'll only get a dump and moan from short-term minded investor/hunters.

One advantage? And why do I need to choose you when there are cosmos and aion too?

Nice question. I think the team should address this. There's only a little explanation on the OP for the comparison.
8715  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Changelly alternative? on: January 18, 2019, 11:26:16 AM
No, but seems pretty good since the min exchange for bitcoin is about 20k satoshi for doge. I also do quick search and found this thread and it got mixed reviews on there.

Yeah, in fact, there's also a scam accusation about them. Tbh I'd not use them, or maybe try with the minimum amount and repeat it as many as I need.

Damn, you're so quick to find things like this Veleor. I missed the opportunity to show off my Google skill.

8717  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be aware of exwal.com on: January 18, 2019, 10:35:31 AM
Strange. I try again:
https://www.blockchain.com/en/btc/tx/ecd1b970dd175785770c2570a29d7d288655f9b18014fc8509429772e99be052
I went to the link and copied it from address bar.

Transaction found. You miss the last "2" on the previous message.
Btw, can you sign a message from this address[1] which you used to send your deposit and provide a screenshot on your deposit status/wallet on exwal?

If you can do that, it should give more credibility to your case. I'm not saying that you're lying, but there is a lot of fake newbies account being made to slander some projects.

8718  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Changelly alternative? on: January 18, 2019, 10:17:30 AM
I know shapeshift bur they always reject my kyc.

That's weird. What does the rejection message tell you?

Have you tried Flyp.me? I never use it but it is mentioned many times here and there. Depends on what kind of coins you want to sell/buy, you'll get a different minimum exchange amount. For example, if you want to exchange ETH to ESS, the minimum amount is 0.00030497 ETH, while if you want to exchange ETH to DigixDao, the minimum amount is 0.02078974 ETH.
8719  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: The Ledger Nano S firmware 1.5.5 update on: January 17, 2019, 09:05:44 AM
I read comments on Twitter about update and quite many people are complaining that after firmware update they can install much less apps, for example one guy said that he had 5 apps previously and now there is enough storage only for 2 apps. While Ledger said that available storage will decrease only slightly. Maybe it's their attempt to force users to buy New Ledger X wallet which has bigger storage.

Damn, I won't upgrade my Ledger then. Well, not so surprising considering they need to sell as many products as possible to get profits. Business will always be business.

You don't need to update Ledger when you hardly use it, let alone store coins.

I'd appreciate it if you resize the pic tbh.
8720  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Nano ledger S problem on: January 17, 2019, 08:13:05 AM
This time i downloaded bitcoin app then made a bitcoin wallet just like the video but now when I was going to download more apps I couldn't get in to the manager.

nothing happend where it says "allow ledger manager to your device". I wont get any option to click accept on the ledger i tried over and over. a few times there comes a  message to the ledger wich ask if i want a conformation and if i click yes then nothing happends. I just get the message Oops, a time out occurred
It took too long for the server to respond, please retry.

I assume after you reset your Ledger Nano, you only have Bitcoin apps installed on it, am I right?
I think the issue is network/USB connectivity. Try to disconnect your Ledger and connect it again (change your USB port), and make sure you run the latest Ledger Live. After that try to install Tron.

Which firmware you're using at this moment btw?
