Just went back on PD to see how the new site looks after not playing for many weeks. Disappointing to see that it still looks the same. Sad

That's because it is. The launch has been delayed slightly:

Hour or two until launch  Tongue
8722  Economy / Services / Re: ➫ ➬ Lucky Bit Signature Campaign ★ Earn up to 0.1BTC every month ★ Closed - FULL on: August 10, 2014, 11:43:46 AM
Come on, guys. If you are going to sign up for a signature campaign and run an ad for a whole month, at least follow the rules of the campaign! I disqualified all three of the people that were due for payment today.

Did not qualify:

UnluckyDuck - 32 posts total
cryptworld - 30 posts in 4 days, total 53
phoenixsilverbird - 52 posts in 4 days, total 56

You're making it very difficult for me to give away bitcoin, people....

I made the posts across 2 weeks...

You made 40 or so posts from the 11th to 13th which is probably the problem here.

I'm open to ideas for a higher rank. I feel like "Legend" is too grandiose a title to give to a living person, though. Any other ideas? I'd probably want to give this highest rank a colored half-coin (like my red half-coin); what color should it be?

how about overlord  or Master or Minister ??

About the color must be different than others , how bout black ? (inspire from black belt  Cool )

Overlord seems a bit ominous  Cheesy. Elite or Noble are good that freedomno1 suggested.
8724  Other / Meta / Re: The definitive explanation of how activity works! on: August 10, 2014, 08:21:45 AM
It's a good way of stopping people just spamming their way through the ranks. I like it, but the system can be gamed by obviously logging on once and collecting the points at a later date (and this is what most account farmers tend to do). Maybe having to actually make the 14 posts in the actual two-week period would be better.

Interesting suggestion.  However, the fact that you've had the account for long enough posting just once a fortnight or so seems to be worthy of something.  In my own case, I lurked and did't post much for about a year.  Then when I joined a sig campaign about a month ago, I basically blew by "member" and went to "full member" very fast.  I don't think I gamed the system in any way, I just think I got rewarded for the fact that I wasn't totally a newbie.

I don't disagree with you. A lot of users find themselves in your situation, but a lot also farm accounts this way. I still suppose at one point everybody has to make the minimum amount of posts to rank up anyway.

I don't feel 'Legend' is much more grandiose than 'Hero', though I get what you're saying. Maybe they can get Legend member when they die? Cheesy. I think a few more ranks would be beneficial for/to distinguish the older members. How about Veteran Member? Or maybe Elder Member. They sound a bit more distinguished.

Veteran is good. But it sounds lower than hero. Elder sounds too much like a grandpa

I'm not sure about that and would say it seems more senior imo, but it could come before the Hero rank (but maybe that would be confusing to people). And yes, Elder can and sometimes does refer to old people, but also to just older but distinguished/ knowledgeable people so I think it's apt. Wiki has it defined as 'An Elder is some one of old age who has power' and google as 'a leader or senior figure in a tribe or other group' and 'of one or more out of a group of associated people of a greater age', so still very relevant imo.

It hasn't been updated since July 22nd. Did you make sure you submitted the form correctly? If you did, you should be fine.

What surfer43 said isn't true. Merely logging on every fortnight doesn't matter; you need to actually make at least one post as well. Make one post in each of the fortnight periods and you can collect the activity points at a later date.

What amounts do you have and what discounts do you offer? Do they work on the UK site too?
8731  Other / Meta / Re: question about selling hero member accounts... on: August 10, 2014, 05:34:04 AM
A lot of people consider it bad form and will actually leave negative feedback on the account if they know it or they are trying to sell one. That's why people usually create a new throw-away account to sell it so the account can remain anonymous until sold.
8732  Other / Meta / Re: Paid Signatures Increases Likelihood of Getting Banned on: August 10, 2014, 05:26:12 AM
The problem is that with bans they aren't really that defined here. What about the threads in the off-topic section? You can't really be constructive in threads where you're only supposed to post an image, on the thread with a word game, the thread with questions and such. If I have a signature I have to avoid those threads so that I don't get banned? That doesn't make much sense.

I think PrimeDice (which is the one you're on) lets you remove non-constructive posts from the total post count when requesting a payment. I'm not 100 percent sure whether posts like the ones you mentioned would be counted as being constructive or not but personally, I would probably remove them from my count just to be on the safe side. I do know that posts in the off-topic section can be counted as long as they are constructive. For example, I would definitely count this post if it were mine (it isn't). You would probably have to ask Stunna in his thread if you want a real answer though.

You can and should remove non-constructive posts but most people won't, but making or removing them from your claim is irrelevant as if Badbear sees lots of them you're likely to get banned. It's fine to post in off topic if you're being constructive and probably even posting a few times a month in those typical spam threads there would be ok, but post almost exclusively in that sub with little to no effort going in and you can expect to be banned eventually.
8733  Other / Meta / Re: Spammer ID Statistics Report in the Chinese section on: August 10, 2014, 05:16:26 AM
I came frome China and i always hang out Chinese section..
Believe me,this guy is insane. He just list most of chinese accounts and don't give us proof.
He is a troll!!!!

I haven't checked most of the list but there's a lot of usernames that look like typical bot accounts, which they have been prolific in the Chinese sub.
8734  Other / Meta / Re: In which category can we post a Hacking Challenge with Bounty? on: August 09, 2014, 06:45:58 PM
Probably the Services sub: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0
8735  Other / Meta / Re: Spammer ID Statistics Report in the Chinese section on: August 09, 2014, 03:29:33 PM
What are they saying? They're probably bots. I've noticed a lot of them before posting in the same Chinese threads and having the exact same post counts and all signed up on the same day etc.
8736  Other / Meta / Re: Banned 60 days on: August 09, 2014, 12:22:21 PM
His previous posts? Not much you can do about that as you don't really get to see the account until you've paid for it for obvious reasons, so you get what you're given really and that's the risk of buying them. You still wouldn't know of any previous bans.
8737  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Oops, Primedice 3 issues. Small delay. Have a 0.01 BTC compensation on: August 09, 2014, 10:57:24 AM
Username on there is just: hilarious

Can't log in to find my user ID as it's on a diff comp that's currently out of action.
8738  Other / Meta / Re: New Section Suggestion - Groups on: August 09, 2014, 06:01:32 AM
I still don't see how it's any different. You can do all that stuff in the existing subforums. Can you provide links of sites that do this?
8739  Other / Meta / Re: New Section Suggestion - Groups on: August 09, 2014, 05:52:50 AM
On forums I have been on there is usually a section titled groups. In the groups section is were members and staff/admin can create groups that they would like. For example someone that likes to mine would create a miner guild/group and that group would be about mining. Someone else could create a guild/group for development, graphics, media etc. you get the point.

I don't get the point? We have all these subforums already, so what would be the difference between them? Seems unnecessary to me.
8740  Other / Meta / Re: Banned 60 days on: August 09, 2014, 05:46:38 AM
The only person you can try work it out with is Badbear, though he's pretty steadfast with his banning decisions and I've never seen him change his mind on this type of thing so you're probably wasting your time. I'd try work it out with the guy you bought the account from and get a refund or swap it for another or something, but doubt that will work either. You're probably just going to have to wait the ban and when it expires just make sure to keep your posts very constructive and well thought out or you'll probably be banned for an even longer duration or possibly even permabanned.
