Why i've already 38 Posts, and only 14 Activity and Newbie status 

Each two week period you post in increases your maximum activity by 14.
The next two week period is tomorrow (22nd July) at 9:06:40 GMT

You can't be a Hero if you've not posted the past week, you can't be Senior if you've not posted the past month. It'd help with the buying/hacking old accounts to prop scams.

Nah. Posting shouldn't be a full time job. If I go away for two weeks I shouldn't be dropping ranks. Scammers would just keep buying accounts anyhow.

I also don't see what benefit to the forum this suggestion would have. Many hero members are not as active as they could be on here, but in times of crisis come in when needed (when very bad BTC related news breaks for example).

This new system is very confusing.  I've been posting 12-16 hours per day for a year and all cause I missed 3 weeks around Christmas time I got knocked back to zero and I'm still bit back up.  It's silly.

Its coming on 19 August because last time we have on 5 August

It would be nice to shoot for something higher.

But make it more difficult.

Like maybe 1200 activity.  That way it will be more unique.

Or do 960 for platinum and maybe 1400 for Legend.

They'd have to switch Satoshi to like all black Ninja Level.  lol

Ranks are:

15 *2 = 30 * 2 = 60 * 2 = 120 *2 = 240 * 2 = 480 * 2 = 960 * 2 = 1920

So next rank would be at 1920.

I don't feel 'Legend' is much more grandiose than 'Hero', though I get what you're saying. Maybe they can get Legend member when they die? . I think a few more ranks would be beneficial for/to distinguish the older members. How about Veteran Member? Or maybe Elder Member. They sound a bit more distinguished.

I'm not sure about that and would say it seems more senior imo, but it could come before the Hero rank (but maybe that would be confusing to people). And yes, Elder can and sometimes does refer to old people, but also to just older but distinguished/ knowledgeable people so I think it's apt. Wiki has it defined as 'An Elder is some one of old age who has power' and google as 'a leader or senior figure in a tribe or other group' and 'of one or more out of a group of associated people of a greater age', so still very relevant imo.

It sounds pretty cool to be a legend it be pretty hard to get with the new forum software coming out before it would become an official rank, well unless your close.

That said if the ranking and member system are transferred over it could work well in the future, although as another suggestion a possible designation for old bitcointalk users would be a neat idea, little banner by their name or something.

Blue cyan or Onyx would be good colors.


Throws a few out there Noble Member/ Veteran Member/ Exalted Member/ Guru Member/Sage Member/Super Member/Mythic Member/ Elite Member/ Precursor/ Bitcoin Member perhaps.

Of those I think Elite Noble or Veteran sound best
Noble sounds modest and still a bit higher than a Hero an Elite well is an elite and a Vet refers to their time here
Something that refers to their time on the forums in that sense.

About the color must be different than others , how bout black ? (inspire from black belt   )
