8722  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blocktrail.com | Wallet | Explorer | API on: December 19, 2016, 03:10:31 PM
I am not able to signup to create a new wallet.  Is this wallet still working?

It is , Blocktrail switched to BTC.com recently and you can make a new wallet from here https://wallet.btc.com/#/setup/register just make sure to make a backup of the PDF file that they give you , that could be useful If something bad happens and you want to recover your wallet.

I get the invalid image message from bitcointalk.org  Undecided

I was able to see the pictures just fine (the one posted in the OP) and here too : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1718475.msg17222327#msg17222327 yesterday but not now . It looks like the website is no longer functional.
8724  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin Price Prediction for 2017: 6 Major Events to Impact Bitcoin Value on: December 19, 2016, 12:50:48 PM
The price of Bitcoin is difficult to predict as various factors impact the value of the digital currency. However, there are six major events that could lead to a surge in the price of Bitcoin in 2017. These include the activation of Segregated Witness, hereinafter Segwit, the  release of Lightning Network and Tumblebit, approval of Bitcoin ETFs, the financial crash and economic instability.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-price-prediction-for-2017-6-major-events-to-impact-bitcoin-value

If we assume that all of things mentioned in the article will get done/activated the next year , how much would you predict the price would be and how It will impact on Bitcoin userbase (more users ? )

Come on people, Don't forget was a great deal!  Grin Grin

Those who bought the software before , will get it for free this time ? as they bought License with Lifetime updates and It's not their fault If the software stopped working and I'm more interested in having the UdemyRipper , should we expect seeing it back or not ?
8726  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Forum Moderators on: December 19, 2016, 10:30:34 AM
pm was sent. plz check it. sorry for my late answer

I received your P.M but I'm sadly not a Facebook user , is there is anyway to contact him using Bitcointalk , Telegram or Skype ? It's really better If you could simply post the details on the OP so people understand what this is about .

can you tell exactly what he PM you? is there any complication about applying here? i thought it is just a simple moderation on his new forum and that's all.

i would like to apply too if the 4-5hrs time needed is depends on what i prefer and not a fixed schedule because it might conflict to my work, if that is not a problem maybe i can try a moderation job even for just a small rate. just waiting for your PM  Cheesy

He contacted me with a Facebook profile , requesting me to add the guy and speak to him (he is one of the developers of forum that he is talking about) so he explains the situation. I can't share his facebook account since I respect his privacy but you could always ask OP.
8727  Economy / Service Discussion / [Collection] Hardware Wallets Reviews on: December 19, 2016, 09:26:48 AM
I'm trying to gather reviews as much as possible , I will be linking those reviews on the thread that I made recently : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1710607.0;topicseen

To prevent spamming from multiple accounts or from users who probably didn't even use the wallets , I won't be accepting (or adding) the reviews from users with a Full member rank or below and to make things clear and easier for me to read and filter , I'd appreciate If you could follow the following format :

★★★★★
★★★★☆
★★★☆☆
★★☆☆☆
★☆☆☆☆

Code:
[b]Hardware wallet :[/b] Trezor
[b]Rating : [/B] ★★★★★
[b]Review/Feedback :[/b] write here

If you used multiple wallets then feel free to give multiple reviews , as long as the review is detailed , I will be adding it.

so maybe just no reference to the trade why?  privacy? i always thought references in feedback prevented these things?

I don't think It has anything to do with privacy otherwise he wouldn't leave a positive so everyone knows he actually traded .If the transaction was made through a third party service or communicated using P.Ms , It won't be possible to post references .
8729  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: December 19, 2016, 08:17:31 AM
Bitgold is still in pending list , even though you added it to the official one. I recommend adding "Goldmoney.com" too, as It's the new name of "Bitgold.com" . If people googles first , chances that they will search using the new name are higher so It's better to add both names.

I'm not a web developer but If the website is using WordPress then I guess I could do the SEO part and I can also do projects using C# (mostly desktop or web application at this point). HMU with the details If the positions are not taken yet.

I have seen newbies and Jr.members with Green trust before and I don't really see an issue , If he actually traded with him (whether It's using the P.M system or from a thread) I don't see why he wouldn't leave a positive trust.
USER211 is very active at the altcoin section and johnniewalker left him positive trust for buying alts so It pretty much make sense to me and I don't see why we would accuse him of anything .
8733  Other / New forum software / Re: Reply for the trust system? on: December 18, 2016, 06:42:01 PM
If we are keeping the current rep system, which mostly works... although the default trust list is a bit of a thorn in many peoples sides..

I'd like to see a reply section added, for example if someone left Neg rep simply because you hit them. A way to respond with details/link would be cool.
Rather then having to explain the negatives.

I realize everyone will then respond, even the bullshitters trying to cover their ass, but we all know the system has it's issues, this may be a step to help?

I don't see that making a new section is necessary honestly , all what you mentioned should be done within the Scam accusation section (to be more specific , In the thread that the user was accused for scamming or got negative trust for).

8735  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on autopilot mode on: December 18, 2016, 05:48:35 PM
I guess that being optimistic is something good but you should be realistic as well, bitcoin is definitely huge compared to the other altcoins but the competition is always there and most of the good projects are taking sometime until they get fully developed and released for public , I already said that in different topics and I will repeat it...  If bitcoin stops at this point and don't get developed and getting some solution with the current problems , It will definitely fail.

8737  Economy / Services / Re: Envato items on: December 18, 2016, 04:01:04 PM
Thanks for showing that thread, while I was searching today I found another one here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1711379.0;topicseen so I will contact both of them and see what can they offer to me since without updates is sometimes useless.

Just be careful , I have my doubts about these threads that are popping up lately about offering Envato items for cheap , there is either an exploit in the website or SEing involved for sure.
8738  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: IOS electrum project still a go or cancelled on: December 18, 2016, 03:24:25 PM
Anyone have status on the iOS version of electrum

was so looking forward to this...

A few months ago , ThomasV (creator of Electrum) said that they are still working on it so I doubt It's cancelled : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1655639.0 . Electrum is with no doubt one of the best (If not "the" best) wallets when It comes to PC but for phone , I'm not really a fan.
8739  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Strong brain wallet, step-by-step guide. on: December 18, 2016, 03:03:12 PM
I believe that your birth date , your name or your phone number are the first things that a hacker would try to use before trying to crack/brute anything so I don't really see how this could be more secure then anything else , using a random password in the other hand or something that make no sense to you may be very hard to remember over the years and you could finish by losing your coins.
8740  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Escrows - Trade Safely! on: December 18, 2016, 02:49:37 PM
Which member offer best escrow service, here on this forum?

There are plenty of trusted members (I'd recommend OgNasty , devthedev ....) around here and don't hear those who say that you shouldn't use an escrow because he could scam you . We understand that some of trusted escrows as Master-p betrayed our trust but that doesn't make the other members not trustworthy.
