Trust me, once you get out of here it is just from solitary confinement to general population.

This forum has the most heavy handed and arbitrary moderation I have personally ever experienced.

You serious? The kind of crap flinging and arguments I see here would not be tolerated on all the other forums I frequent. This forum is on the loose end moderation wise.

Perhaps my experience of the internet is limited.  Yes, I have been on forums where the banhammer is wielded freely, but I have never seen entire threads thrown down the Orwellian memory hole on a whim.
8723  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Going to the moon? on: October 06, 2012, 03:51:39 AM
oh boy, here is a substantial thread

will 2 fit in a small flat rate?
8726  Other / Meta / Re: While I was sleeping they deleted "The beginning of the end" topic... on: October 05, 2012, 11:43:22 AM
Perhaps it was not "substantial enough"

This was the reason given for the recent deletion of a thread of mine in the speculation subforum.

Disturbing degree of arbitrary power thrown around by moderators here, let users decide the merit of threads.

8728  Other / Off-topic / Re: BFL ** Surprise's ** on: October 04, 2012, 01:57:46 AM
mah order half shipped now?
8729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meanwhile in lower Manhattan..... on: October 04, 2012, 01:19:06 AM

So when BFL releases some preliminary product renders and folks cry "fraud" you jump on their bandwagon and assert that when the crowd shouts "fraud" the burden of proof is on the manufacturer: "Prove to us you're NOT a fraud!"

Then when BitInstant releases a preliminary product pic and folks cry "fraud" your immediate response is "nono, that's not ok you guys, those making the claims of fraud bear the burden of proof, anything else would be fallacious!"

he's got you dead to rights there mucus
8730  Economy / Speculation / Re: RALLY!!! on: October 04, 2012, 01:07:27 AM
This one will do, thanks...but what happened to my "I want a rally thread dammit !!!  !!!  !!!" thread??

8731  Economy / Economics / Re: Dollar slowly collapsing on: October 04, 2012, 12:37:10 AM
If "economy" is defined as "the ability of banks to extract a percentage of every income stream on the planet via interest payments on revolving credit" then yes, deflation kills the "economy".

Jhonny come lately

M-Pesa is ubiquitous in Africa already
8733  Other / Meta / Re: "I put you on ignore." on: October 03, 2012, 03:23:35 AM

Coming from Atlas, I don't think this complaint is really about "I put you on ignore" diluting relevant content.   Atlas has an extensive history of creating irrelevant threads and leading off-topic tangents in other peoples' threads.

If IP owners would recognize some sane version of fair use and stop treating paying customers like criminals with borked DRM I would have a lot more patience with their whining.

That's only for AC of sufficiently high frequency, DC measurement should be fine.

I guess you are right...but good grief, how much current are we talking to saturate a bar?

gold is created in stars, the bacteria just precipitates gold out of a gold salt
8740  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Got off the phone with the Guy from the S.E.C on: October 03, 2012, 12:38:30 AM
I missed this whole Zeek thing, just read up on it...tons of comments from irate Zeekers who refer to their involvement as a "business"  for example "but out SEC and give me back my business" or "I guess Zeek rewards is over, I just need to move on and build my business."

How in the fuck do people think that clicking on some internet bullshit is a "business" ?  Jesus, a lot of Americans are in for one rude ass awakening.
