881  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a trading university/school? on: May 25, 2018, 05:27:09 AM
I had some trading stuff in my university course but it mostly was just basics that explain how market work and how people are making money on it. I'm not sure if any university have any decent course (maybe some financial ones teach people how to trade stocks, dunno) but to start trading you have to pass some course anyway. You should never re-invent a bicycle.

OP, be wary of people who try to teach you trading skills because they're the ones usually making money from the teaching and not the trading.  I'm skeptical of offers for this sort of education.
It mostly depends on the level of the studies. You shouldn't be a good trader to explain someone most of the trading stuff. Trading is more about making your own decisions.
I've seen people that were experienced traders promising that you will be able to make 300% profit after their course. Despite they definetely are good traders that was an obvious bullshit.
882  Economy / Economics / Re: What happnes to BTC,if the oil price goes up? on: May 24, 2018, 03:51:07 PM
Back to bitcoin, it is going to have 0 effect.
Oil at 10$ or at 100$ it's the same, those two have no connection whatsoever.
There is a tiny chance that Petro investors will decide to take their profits somewhere around 100$ because oil obviously won't go higher. This might pump BTC a little bit. But tbh I have no idea about the details of petro trading and don't think it will make a significant influence. Hovewer, I also doubt the mental abilities of the people that invested in Petro coin so there is a chance that they will keep hodling.
883  Economy / Economics / Re: Each country has its own crypto currency! on: May 24, 2018, 12:55:50 PM
The only serious thing that I see with "national" cryptocurrencies that can benefit crypto community is that there will be a chance to trade their bitcoins (or altcoins) to fiat pairs without taking much risk with 3rd parties (like Tether). But I doubt that someone will ever trade his money with pairs to russian rouble or the other currency that currently don't have leading volumes on forex market.
On the other aspects it mostly will be the same as the current money.
884  Economy / Economics / Re: Mining equipment sales expected to drop on: May 21, 2018, 07:31:31 PM
I remember that I've read somewhere that at the previous year they they had income equal to the previous year revenue. It seems like mining GPUs were already overpriced and the price had to drop anyway because the amount of produced GPUs should be higher this year due to the higher competition.
I also doubt about the loosing interest to the cryptocurrencies from the side of miners because in this cace we should see a dramatical lose of hashrate in BTC network but everything seems to be fine: https://blockchain.info/en/charts/hash-rate?timespan=all
885  Economy / Services / Re: [0/15] Receive 0.0025 BTC for your review of a new bitcoin mixer BESTMIXER.IO on: May 21, 2018, 04:03:28 PM
I've been participating at the first part of the campaign so I'll try to focus on recent changes and try to offer some small changes.
I'm mixing it thru the gamma pool. The description of this pools is pretty good understandaple. The arrow that was under the service fees (and disappeared lately) is focusing my attention on it. I would advice to add something like that to transfer delay. It is still set to 2.3 hrs by default and someone might miss this field while trying to get a fast mixing.
You can also move the fee calculator to the upper part of the page (somewhere under the bestmixer code for example) and add a separate fee field to the calculator so user won't have to switch the fee from the order every time he is trying to calculate his optimal fee. It appears only after clicking on it so it won't take much place and it seems easier to calculate the  whole mixing price before you start filling the other fields.
Please, add the delay countdown to the order page.
Everything generaly seems to be fine. Coins were mixed after 3 cinfirmations.
886  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: A development company just charged me $3300 for a first call on: May 21, 2018, 07:12:23 AM
Why didn't you ask him about his proces before you made a call? Such services are not usually provided without any pre-payment. And who is that guy? If it is not some of the crypro influencers or the other highly experoenced guys then the price is really overrated.
By the way if he don't have a recording of your call then I doubt that it will be easy to prove that you've realy had a consultation.
887  Economy / Economics / Re: No Time Left, Time To Move Away From The Dollar on: May 19, 2018, 06:50:56 PM
Which led to nowhere...
RMB’s share as a world payments currency, 2012-February 2018:
1.5% of the world payments is still a good number. Ofc they are far from taking the leadership (and they probably won't) but anyway

Yeah, Russia getting oil from Iran is one hell of a move...

By the way they are thinking about using cryptocurrencies to avoid sanctions. link
But in this case a new crypto that they issue (they probably won't use the already established ones) may turn up with another cancerous thing to the whole crypto market and even make more people think that cryptos are used for shady activities.
Anyway imho I don't think that something else (crypto or fiat) will overtake USD.
888  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New automated trading system on crypto exchanges. There is no monthly fee. on: May 19, 2018, 11:07:25 AM
The only fact that someone is trying to promote this bot by shilling from the newbie acc makes me cautious. Would never trust a single satoshi to this thing.
And lol, they have absolutely no information regarding risks and problems
Dude, just take a look at their website. They say that risks are low. You should trust them.
Quote
Low risk
The service uses the most advanced trading algorithms and arbitrage with minimum risk levels, based on machine learning

Is there any info about the bot that did that thing? imho it could be nice if people could share links to any suspicious trading software / exchanges somewhere in trading section.
Similar to what happened to VIA on binance not long ago?
889  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Business ( You can get merit, If you have money ) on: May 19, 2018, 10:07:23 AM
I still haven't seen any proven merit sellers. Seems like their problem is that it is pretty easy to uncover such cases. You won't buy 100 merit from a single person so you have to spam your buy request to many users and if one of them will request for a red tag then the other sellers will be uncovered. There is no safe way to sell merits.
I believe it may be a bannable offence for a merit source to sell his source merits.
No. I believe theymos already stated that it is your choise how you are using your merit. However, you can still get red tagged for that.
890  Economy / Economics / Re: Best listed electricity company stock to buy on: May 18, 2018, 04:15:46 PM
Just imho but it is not the best move to invest in electricity producing companies. It feels like there will be a huge lobbyism of "green energy" (like it happens right now with electric cars) while none of the green energy producing enough power to fill any serious demand. Doesn't matter how good is the company now when tomorrow it may get drawned by green lobbyists.
891  Other / Meta / Re: Please can we have a political discussion board. on: May 18, 2018, 03:37:28 PM
First of all is might be pretty hard to find any construcrive views in already existing political discussion. Such threads appear also in Economics and Bitcoin discussian boards. In most cases they are grtting drawned by other spammy threads or becoming the other spam threads. It might be a good idea to make a separate sections but imho nothing says that some serious and constructive discussion is possible in such board.
I've got some very extreme vieews, and I'm not politically correct. I'm also anti-deep state and global eugenics, and the use of big Pharma medications to kill people.
Your point is reasonable but but at the last time a big part of the internet is getting censored for such views. For example it is easy to get banned in twitter for "hate speach" after criticizing the mainstream politics. Even if we make something good and popular on bitcointalk it may cause some restrictions against this forum.
892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any way to earn 5% interest/profit per month on: May 18, 2018, 11:20:58 AM
All this crypto related stuff can't be concidered as a safe investment. No matter if it is mining or altcoin trading / investing. As it was mentioned by Andrey123 firex might be a safer choise but the problem is that stable 3-5% per month is a good outcome even for experienced investors. For a newbie it will take a huge amount time to get a decent skill and make a researsch on a daily basis (ofc of you are not making any robots). Those researches will become your 2nd job that you will have to do almost every day. With your 20k I don't think that it worth that.
If you live somewhere in US or EU then try to take a look for some established investment banks. They won't bring you that much profit but at least you money will be safe.

Hey manager! Please notice that someone submited the fake entries on lines 40-42 of the spreadsheet.
894  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Word Clouds - Which words are most common in Topics on: May 12, 2018, 04:36:14 PM
Well, those pics once again show how bad is the Economics section. The most popular keywords mostly consist of the common things that could be also popular in other sections. I see  a strong lack of any kind of "intellectual" economic discussion there while people are trying to spam this section mostly with the crypto shit.
895  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Perfect Money Credit Exchange on: May 08, 2018, 05:43:27 PM
OP, you really believed that bank took a loan at about 200%? Then you are one of the most naive people ever. French banks are giving loans at 0% interest rate. There is no reason for them ro take loans from the unknown payment system. Doesn't matter how desperately they need those money.
A service that "verified" such organisation can never be trusted and can be concidered as a scam.

Bitcoin Sees Wall Street Warm to Trading Virtual Currency
Just imho but wall street always was worm to any kind of speculations, especially cryptocurrencies. Sometimes you can find really weird ETFs (like SPDR SSGA Gender Diversity ETF on NYSE) that are hardly connected to something usefull. I don't think that someone of the wall street speculators care about the nature of bitcoin either.
I am still somewhat skeptical.
While overall is good, Bitcoin is getting accepted into the big boys' game, the big boys are banks; regulations will come upon us and I am not sure our banker "friends" will help making that good.
And don't be fooled, Goldman Sachs doesn't care a all about us or Bitcoin, all they've seen there is a lot of profit.
After becoming a really established financial instrument everything we need is a volume from banks and whales. We need the daily volume of bitcoin to be somehow close to the volume of good forex trading pairs. At that point none of the whales will be able to dump the price.
Just imagine some european bank tryin to get rid of all its euros. With such a big volume it won't have any affect on the price.
897  Other / Meta / Re: Chatbox here in forum on: May 06, 2018, 12:21:52 PM
Why not replace a Personal Messages with a some kind of chat? The one with any kind of notifications (preferably also with sound). Chatting with someone could be really painfull here so asking someone for telegram sometimes is the only way to communicate efficiently.
This idea is even worse. Do not replace Personal Messages. This is a forum dude, not a social media website. You're here to discuss about things not to spread memes all across.
Right now if you need to talk to someone thru the forum then you need to constantly refresh the message page in order to operatively respond soneone else's messages. If you concider it as a special forum feature then it is totally fine now. Otherwise even a small communication (like making a deal and inviting a 3rd party as an escrow) could take way more time just because you don't know if someone sent you a message or not.
898  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos Doesn't love the Forum Anymore ?? !!!!! on: May 05, 2018, 06:50:35 PM
This forum is totally unfriendly for local users. Beside the issue with moderation you can check the merit circulation in local sections. Theymos either don't care about those local plebs or the merit system was designed to prevent them from ranking up.
Anyway meybe those boards are not getting spammed and they don't really need to be moderated.
Then send this list to Theymos..
...and be ignored Smiley

You only have to look at the spam mega threads to see what could happen. On the other hand, it would probably be ignored if you couldn't display signatures, or earn merits.
In spam megathreads  spammers are trying to boost their posts. In a section chat they won't be forced to do that but imho it will be full of different ICO spam how it happens in different telegram groups. PMs and some private chats is probably the safest thing.
900  Other / Meta / Re: Request for a New Forum board "SCAM ALERT" on: May 03, 2018, 02:03:57 PM

Anyone making a scam accusation needs to use the format described in the sticky thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0 and include the relevant evidence.

This form was made for those who suffered from scammers. Sometimes you don't need to be scammed by someome if you see an obvious scam or made a small research outside the forum. Unfortunately people don't pay much attention on that kind of things. I've made a thread there some time ago but my call was not heared by anyone (even after  I made some PMs).
I would suggest to add another form for situation when the one who make an accusation was not scammed.
