881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar Loses €1M in Casino in Just an Hour on: March 31, 2023, 05:06:58 AM
There seems to be a trend that more and more famous people get into gambling (Drake, Snoop Dogg, now Neymar). Loosing 1 million $ is a lot of money for all of us but for Neymar it is almost pocket change. I don’t really see the need of writing articles like this, but everybody likes a bit of sensation and drama lol.

Congrats to all the winners and thanks Rickdecard for organizing this contest! Had a lot of fun making the pie with my girlfriend and following the voting so up to edition 2  Wink.

I had 99k RP on my account yesterday. Freebitco.in is running 3× RP promotions now. They are giving 3 RP for every 500 Satoshi wager. I just took the opportunity and made some wager to reach the 100k RP milestone. It took more than two years to reach the 100k RP mark again! The last time I reached this milestone in the February month of 2021.

I was going to congratulate you, but I see that last time you converted it into 0.001 btc, which means you spent a year saving up to get $25. Seems like a long time for such a small amount, this is why most users prefer to use PRs in other ways. Anyway, it looks like you're happy, so congratulations.

Congrats Mahdirakib, it took a while but you did it! The reward of 25$ may see small but it also adds up and it is almost free money, if you didn’t loose to much while wagering. I don’t agree that there are better ways to spend RP’s,I think it is always better to convert them while you can even if it takes a while.
884  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: March 31, 2023, 04:39:53 AM
By the way
How do you know the gambler didn’t use risk management
I know it is unlikely (but not impossible!) that this person has many millions or even billions of dollars and this loss represent just a small % of their fortune
It's obvious that he didn't. The most important thing in risk management is to know how to manage your bankroll. Can you imagine how much money you need to have to be able to place a bet of 1.4 million dollars on 1.01 odds without affecting your bankroll. You will need billions of dollars so you can recover such loss (supposing you are too lucky).
Regardless of the cause (gambling addiction, being reckless..), that gambler took a huge risk and he lost, that's it.

I can agree with what you say, but maybe he is a billionaire and then losing 1.4 million is peanuts for him. Money management is indeed crucial but far from easy also. It just also shows that there are no real sure bets and that it is never a good idea to bet on such low odds.
885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 29, 2023, 09:34:56 PM
Seeing Tsitsipas lose to Khachanov was unexpected and after always winning his meetings with Khachanov this was the first defeat and Khachanov beat him in a convincing performance.
What was unexpected for me here was the fact that bookies placed Khachanov as favorite. I leapt at the opportunity and lost quite a lot on money on Tsitsipas. I had him to take at least one set @1.4 which seemed like free money and to win @2.1. In the end it seems that bookies knew something we didn't.

Sorry for your loss, that would have been a nice win! I am not really following any tennis for the moment but why always combining multiple bets? You won the other 2 bets and than the last bet fails you. Sometimes the bookmakers know it better than we, but they can be wrong also  Wink.

<snip>
I am one of those users who really got disappointed from the last xmas promotion. I am good with higher wagering amount to get a ticket... but personally I think some of the tasks from that promotion was far uneasy compared to the previous ones. It was way more challenging and need to wager a lot & take big risks just to get the reward.
It was still a good promotion though, generally.

I think we all agree that the last xmas promotion was less good than we all hoped, guess the time of free money is over. The challenges are fun but are also designed to so the casino will win in the end. But we need to be happy that they host these kind of promotions and they offer a lot of sports promotions also every week.

@Klarki, I don’t really know this provider and apparently they are focusing more on the mobile market. They seem to have some slots with a nice design and one of the more popular ones is Genie’s secret. I might try a couple of slots from this provider just to check it out.
888  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dollar Neutral Cross Margin Trades is where it's at on: March 29, 2023, 09:06:03 AM
Everyone focuses on cryptocurrencies against the US Dollar,
But by using cross margin trades from crypto-to-crypto, such as XMR/BTC or FIL/ETH,

Altcoin/BTC trading pairs were popular up until 2018. After that market shifted to trading against stablecoins and Altcoin/BTC  or altcoin/ETH trading pairs day by day were losing volume and liquidity more and more and thus the spread became unacceptable and the low volume only makes AT on these pairs practically meaningless, because this chart is only the result of other charts. There is no real volume. Just arbitrage traders and marketmakers. also flash crash is much more likely.

I think it was popular a bit after that as I traded a few times around 2-3 years ago some bitcoin for altcoin. That time it was possible to find ‘value’ and made some profit out of it. Nowadays I just buy all coins with fiat money.

At the beginning of March I tried to analyze the price of bitcoin at the end of this month, at that time I saw the outcome odds which were high, I bet on the two bets below

If you look at the weekly and monthly charts, the bitcoin price should close right above the 27k or 28k price by the end of the month, I think it will be good to try my luck here because so far I've always bet on sports that aren't really talented there, if I win I will betting again for the next month seems interesting to test my ability to analyze bitcoin prices. wish me luck for the next 2 days  Grin Grin

What were the final odds? I also looked at both ranges as the price will probably keep hovering between 27,000$ and 28,000$ but in the end forgot to place a bet on it lol.
890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is crazy on: March 28, 2023, 11:50:31 PM
Lol, why would anyone believe in these predictions? On youtube you can find 1000 people that will predict the price of the coin, they will all be different and the range will go from 0 to 100,000 lol. There might be someone who will be close with his prediction, but there is no one that can really predict it consistently. The crypto market is way too volatile and in my eyes also technical analysis on crypto is useless.

Your experienced, your opinion, and for sure there are different opinion with gambler who manage to work out with combo/parlay types of betting strategy, I don't have any argument or much better to say that I believe that your personal experience dictates that for you it's better to use a single bet and risk your money compared to a value bet that for me most of the time can ruin your bet.

A single mistake will cause you to lose your pick, but same deal with a single bet if shit happen it will be still the same outcome to you.

You are right in that as you can't win every bet, but the ROI (for me) was more positive than compared to combo bets. I placed a lot of them before and I always got 3/4 or 4/5 and most of the times, the bet with the lowest odd ruined the bet. Same as Klarki, I still place them but these are more funbets with high odds but till date never got really lucky to win them.

Just received a promotional email from duelbits regarding a giveaway that will be held in a few days, looks like this is an easter giveaway like they have been doing regularly for the past few years, cracking an egg every day and getting a prize in the form of a challenge and hopefully there will be cash like the old giveaway , there are no details yet on the duelbits website but we will see details soon before this giveaway starts, Be ready, guys, with a deposit, especially if we haven't played here for a long time.

It will be an interesting promotion but I think a lot of people were a bit disappointed with the last Christmas promotion. Two years ago, you also got a cash prize or free spins when you opened the daily present, but last year it was always couple to a challenge (i.e. wagering a certain amount to get rakeback or freespins). It was a different concept but less interesting for the users.

Many participants would provably do back tracking of what the past winners submission to have basis to create more better artwork to submit. So creating the same style or theme on this contest might not give any best result to anyone so best to create more unique which can possibly can catch the attention of the winner or to the people who will judge unto this contest.

Artist became more creative as the art submissions by users are so good, we can say that this contest really evolve since participants truly extend extraordinary effort to possibly win on the contest.

I think you can clearly see the evolution of these art contests. In the beginning there were not so many participants and nowadays, a lot more people participate and the quality of the artworks is also a lot higher. I don't have any artistic skill but I always look forward to see the winners and the different styles of artwork.

895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany ⚽ - Qualifiers on: March 27, 2023, 11:40:49 PM
My eyes are hurting when I watch the Netherlands play against Gibraltar. Seriously, this is one of the worst teams they ever had together with the worst coach. When you lose the first game 0-4 in the qualification and then Gibraltar is coming to your home stadium and also receives a red card at the beginning of the second half, how can you only score 3 goals as the Netherlands against Gibraltar? Anyone who watched the game at least partially, they have no ideas, no dynamic game, no creative positioning, nothing. If they play like this until 2024, they have no chance. That was one of the worst games I have seen from them so far.

Didn't watch their match against Gibraltar and France but winning only 3-0 against Gibraltar is pretty weak indeed. I don't think the team or the coach they have is so bad, after all, they reached the quarters finals at the world cup. In his first period with the Netherlands, Koeman managed to win the Nations league; nobody really cares about this, but that's a different disccusion. Lets see what the next matches bring but based on the summaries I read, they will need to change some things.
896  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: March 27, 2023, 11:32:34 PM

It is easier to say it than do it, gambling addictions are of different levels this you must understand, there are level of addictions that will only take the grace of God for the victim to come out of it, it doesn't matter how many books the victim reads or how many card tricks the individual try to perform in a day, this can not replace the urge to gamble, most especially when the individual involved have easy access to money 💵.

If someone has a real gambling addiction and that is very hard to admit also, than the only solution is to put yourself on the black list and exclude you for all casinos (also the crypto casinos but that is more difficult to do). Some persons are more prone to others and specialized help can do wonders than.

It is really difficult to correctly predict the combo bets because here you need to predict few bets correctly in order to win the money. Even if you lost one bet, you will lose the combo bet. So it is really risky to go for combo bets.
The only reason why people will try their luck on these bets is that if they win these combo bets, the reward will be much higher as compared to win a single bet.

If you ask me, i will prefer to win a single bet even though my profit ratio will be less but it is better to avoid the loss by not playing the combo bets.

This is an ongoing discussion and I agree that it is better to just find single value bets than to place combi bets. Yes it is a nice feeling to hit one and than the payout will also be a lot larger than compared to a single bet, but how profitable is it? I like stats and I kept track of all my bets some years ago and the main conclusion was that, at least for me, placing combo bets will not result in a positive ROI

...

I could only make it a few lines before my eyes started to bleed.

Did you lose your balance while waiting for a withdraw and this post is an attempt to get a refund.

If so don't waste your time.  Not gonna work.

Small laters, endless lines, a lot of confusion... I gave my best to understand what he want's to say, and it all comes down to what you wrote:

Quote
finally after day 6 of not hearing back I degend all my funds

I guess this happened to many of us... eh, gambling is a devil's business, it's tricky when we are greedy and we wish to make even more while waiting. That usually turns into a disaster.

Lol, similar like the others, it is very hard to read this text. What I could understand from it, is that he is from a restricted country and asked to close out his account after cashing his winnings. In the end, like iv4n already mentioned, the procedure took to long and he just gambled all his winnings.

Anyone avail the odds boost of Duelbits for Harry Kane to score first? I knew that he score 2nd in that match but sometimes Duelbits pays lose bets especially if that goal is a major milestone for the player to support the team. It happened last year during Fifa world cup when Neymar score on OT and Duelbits paid boosted odds for Neymar to score on that match.

I’m curious if Ace becomes generous again this time. I really missed availing the odds boost after being excluded on the promotion.

They will not pay bets that are not correct, so they will not pay out the bet on Harry Kane. In the world cup, based on the fineprint, sometimes bookmakers include overtime when you place a bet on the goalscorer so that is the reason they paid out the bet for Neymar. If they would just pay out bets that are not correct, they will not be very long in business lol.

Hello Everybody I bought some Coin before market Crushing, and I belive that all will recover soon, becouse all Coin is good. What is Your opinion about my Coin PBR, ATLAS, DOGE, PKR, TLM etc.

when did you buy Doge? if you bought it when the hype was happening, then you are very brave to keep holding Doge, because in my opinion investing in meme coin is very risky, so I'm not too interested for investing in meme coin, but of course you can't trust me 100%, because maybe when the bull run comes, then the price of Doge can make a new ATH price and give you a big profit, even though I'm still not interested to investing in Doge until now.

I doubt that DOGE will ever reach a new ATH anytime soon but in crypto everything can happen. A couple of years ago, not a lot of persons could imagine that DOGE would hit 0.01$ and it went up all the way to around 0.85$... I  am still kicking myself to have sold almost all my DOGE way too early but I was happy with the (small) profit I made.
